Shik Do Rak Northridge in Northridge

Weve been going to this restaurant for years. Im not sure if it has had the same ownership the whole time. The food has always been consistent. The most difficult thing is communicating with the staff if you dont know Korean. I am making an assumption that they are Korean. We always get the same two items. Bulgogi and Spicy pork. We usually do the BBQ. This last visit, we went during lunch and ordered lunch portions. The serving was plentiful. They did the cooking for this order. Salad, soup, and various Kimchee to start with your order.

We love this place, and we consistently visit. The waitresses are down to business and don’t really care to make your experience magical, but that’s what we like. They want to get your order and serve you and visit again when necessary. The prices are decent but again, this isn’t some magical experience. It’s a no nonsense Korean bbq experience that is very similar to what we’ve had in Korea.

Brisket was great. Ju mul luck was great too but pork belly failed. Had very bad pork smell that I couldn’t eat at all. Cold noodle had no taste… the broth was basically watered. They added 18% tip on my check automatically… had 3 adults…. isn’t that for party of six or more? Since when 18% tip became mandatory? Prob not gonna go back.

I have been coming to this restaurant for their delicious food for more than a decade and had given them 5⭐ however it was never for their service. The service is terrible always has been especially the twin sister waitresses that are grumpy and not attentive however Korean BBQ you do it yourself so my bf and I overlooked it because they do have delicious quality food. But today OMG first of all they gave us water with no ice, no spoons for soup, and were use to the bad service so let it go. Upon paying it was 60 and change and the we gave 80 cash and asked for change back left at 5 for tip which was generous for the service we got and one of the twin sisters questioned why the tip was so low not the percentage meeting the 60 tab OMG 😳 I couldnt believe the balls on this lady, do you not understand that too get a good tip you need to give good service, I told her be friendly, ask if I need anything else or how is everything, especially when its not so busy and then youll get a good tip. Funny thing is she isnt even our waitress we never saw our waitress again after she brought the food out. Its sad that we will never return and I will stop recommending them 😣 breaks my heart but they need to change their way of serving customers and learn that you guys need to EARN your tip, BE NICE & EFFICIENT and then you wont need to harass people for change and get a good tip. Terrible! Im still shocked. It was humiliating and she should be ashamed of herself. Gggrrrr😡

Great KBBQ place - fast and friendly service at a decent price. Quality of the meat was much higher than all you can eat places, yet the quantity was pretty much the same. Would go back again for sure.

Went there for lunch today to celebrate my daughters birthday. I really liked it. The service was great, food was yummy and my grandbabies got a kick from the cooking at the table. Huge portions and I felt the pricing was reasonable. They serve beer, saki, and soju, so all is good.

This is so nice and good service…Many side dishes and a lot of menuI love this place…

We Usually Go To 8Korean In Los Angeles, We Tried This Place Because it’s Closer, Service is HORRIBLE, Food Is Ok . You Have To Beg For Side Orders, Expect To pay 18% Tip, BUT for The Service Quality 0% Better

Went here for the first time today for lunch with some friends. The meat seems to be very high quality compared to other Korean restaurants we have gone to. It was delicious and we will definitely be back.

This place was more of a happening than a restaurant... at least on Saturday night. The food was outstanding but the combined conversations coming from everywhere created something like a soundtrack for a movie about a party. Didnt know what to expect. Most enjoyable. If youre searching for a bold eating experience this eatery fills the bill. Plus, you can dine outside if you want.
