My family and I love trying out Thai food places and we are in love with this one. Our favorite meal is the seafood soup and this soup took me back to my childhood, having this soup after church on Sundays in LA. It really was super delicious and literally didn’t need anything else but white rice. I was pleasantly surprised by the portions and quality of the food!

What a disappointment. I use to come here a lot and I thought I’d try it again but it’s not what it use to be. It was better when it was your house restaurant. Quantity and quality are poor. Ordered food through Uber eats and it’s not worth the money for so little and it being poorly made. It’s missing so many pieces like the spicy tuna bomb. Should’ve been more. The love potion was my favorite but they use to be bigger rolls and with more mango slices on top of each roll but there’s like one slice per entire roll. $15 a dish is not the right charge for so little. Terrible fix it, close this restaurant or go back to being your house restaurant. You can do better than this.The rolls were all there its just such small rolls. They use to be bigger. Its the spicy bomb with only two pieces that didnt seem enough. The Uber driver didnt do anything to the food.

Shin has a great selection of all kinds of asian food. From sushi to Thai, rice bowls etc. Its all pretty good. Awesome happy hour and the service was fast and friendly. The food wasnt amazing but it is pretty good. I will definately go back. There is food here for even the pickiest eater.

I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints, the menu is always improving, they now have a full sushi bar, top grade ramen, the owner is a magician and best of all, I’ve probably been here 50 times and never had a single bad experience, the staff is nice and it’s just a safe bet if you don’t know what the hell you want, go to SHIN.I just chill and work and grub and drink until I crawl my way back home, join me sometime. Whatever happened to this place? It used to be one of my favorite places for lunch specials and happy hour, but I had not been there for a couple of years.I went by yesterday & placed an order of Pad See Ew to go. The food was always pretty good, so when I saw the new price for lunch specials (around $16.50 + $2 for combo meat), I wasnt concerned. Friendly young lady assisted me, and the take-out order was promptly ready.I opened the box in the car because I was famished, and to my disappointment, the rice noodles (switched rice for rice noodles) were overly cooked, gooey and salty. They were so bad that I couldnt eat them. In the past, their food always seemed very fresh and tasty.I must admit that seeing the restaurant completely empty during the time I was waiting for my order surprised and semi-alerted me because it was mid-lunch hour.I hope they get themselves back in gear, but for the forceable future, I think Ill dine someplace else.

Update June 5th, 2021Went for dinner at 8:15pm tonight. Sadly it was CLOSED. Saturday night, closed? Despite their Google listing, which has recently been updated, stating 10pm....Very disappointing to see. Went to 39 Degrees, 655 Redondo Ave instead.My new local for Japanese. Great vibes, great service. Really enjoyed my long lazy Sunday lunch.

The food is good, and the service is good, but with 2 hours and 30 minutes left they always change their attitude, a rushed and somewhat rude attitude, they rush you to eat or swallow and leave. I usually come here

Adults wanted sushi. Kids wanted ramen. So we came here during happy hour and it was delicious. The ramen bowls had delicious pork pieces while the sushi rolls were inventive and fun. I loved the one with a thin slice of mango on top.Patio dining felt safe and the wait staff was superb. Highly recommend.

I like Tom Kha Kai it is a soup with coconut 🥥 🥛 milk and small pieces of chicken, mmmm 😋 delicious 😋I recommend this restaurantGood customer service they help you fast. People are polite, and its quiet.If you enjoy outdoors, they also have tables and chairs in the patio area.They have a big TV to watch while you wait for your food.

Super friendly staff. Best sushi chefs, Ron and Chris. They truly care about their food and customers. Huge space can accommodate a crowd. Cheap happy hour beer! Poke bowls and ramen are also a great deal. Im a shin lifer!

The reason I gave it 2 stars is cuz the beer was good but do not order the spicy tuna! It was fishy smelling and definitely old. I ordered two roles and forced myself to eat one which I regret. I finally spoke up and returned the second. I feel lucky I didnt wake up sick. Also pricey for the quality. That was my anniversary dinner so Im very disappointed!

Should have known something was off when I pulled in to an empty parking lot. Sushi should not smell fishy or taste like mercury!! Had a bad experience here with rolls that were inedible. I was initially thankful the items in question were removed from my tab, but then an 18% gratuity was added to the bill, so essentially I still paid for it. Wont be returning.

Shin is an excellent sushi restaurant. I have been to a few places, though this one stands out. You have a choice to eat outside, which is nice. The atmosphere is beautiful.I highly recommend the highway rolls and the crab bombs. Thats what I had lastly.All in all, its a good place. Whether family friendly or one on one its the place to go!

I was out with a friend. We order ramen and sadly it was not up to par... The portion size of the ramen was smaller than other spots... The eggs werent the typical Ajitsuke Tamago, the eggs were just regular eggs (I was sad but it wasnt the worst) ... However when I tasted the broth, I had to stop... It was terrible I had to send it back, and the sad part is they still charged me for it (Man i basic paid to just eat an egg)... I ordered mango sushi dish, and the mango was not fresh it taste pretty dated but it was edible. Aside from the bad, they were quick and very hospitable, extremely nice. The waitress was always there and quick to take our order(the food came fast as well)... Overall I just wish the food tasted as good as theyre hospitality. I dont know what this restaurant is known for, I am determined to go again maybe 2-3 months from now (get the taste out of my mouth) and see if itll be better than what I just experienced. I have a feeling this place is a hidden gem that maybe wasnt having the best of days... Will keep you posted

I got a spicy ramen with pork and a hand roll Cali roll. I was really surprised about the roll. Never had one that wasn’t cut but they there rice is real. Semi sweet when you bite into it, not just streamed. Their whole egg was cooked to perfection, fully cooked with the yolk still a bit gelatin texture that you want. Not running or hard at all. The price is a bit more then most spot so if I could put 1 1/2 dollar sign I would. But over all pretty solid for a lunch

The Poke wasnt really good. Every other restaurant Ive been to has had a bar where they prepare it to your taste. Shin restaurant offers a variety of different poke choices, but its of their creation. Other then that the restaurant was professional, clean and had quick service. Id probably give them a 3 1/2 stars as a more fair rating.

Buzzing through Long Beach and saw this place along PCH... Stopped in with a buddy and what a surprise!! Staff greeted us we sat and looked at the wonderfully full menu. We ordered and food was perfect! Highly recommend stopping in for a bite.... Great Sushi, noodle, curry, Sake menu.

This place is amazing. I am curious why it always seems empty. They have Happy Hour 3p-7p and everything always taste amazing. The service is friendly and prompt. The beer is cold and crisp, and the atmosphere is comforting. More people need to be eating here!

Everything is amazing. I have not gotten a single thing that I have not enjoyed here. This is one of my wife and my favorite spots. I generally get the Pad Thai with beef, she gets Chow Mein with veggies, and my son eats anything. We start with a couple appetizers, we try different ones each time, and have never been let down.

My family first went here around five months ago and and thought it was good. Weve visited 3 times since then and been increasingly disappointed each visit. At first it was just that it was hard to get a server to bring you more water, then bringing the wrong food and the sushi on top of the rolls seemed to be getting smaller and smaller then on our last visit we were served some brown salmon that was an odd texture. Our thinking was that the sushi chef made this roll, they must have seen how off the fish was but they served it to us anyhow. The manager came by and after we explained she said ok and took it away, there was no Im so sorry about that or this isnt standard. That same night we sat and waited and waited for our check. We love sushi and we dont mind spending money on it but when you get the bill and the food was disappointing it always feels like a rip off. While we were eating still they began cleaning the floor with some really strong chemicals which is sort of gross while youre eating. We will not be giving this place another chance. The place is far from being updated but I dont really care how a place looks if it clean and the food is good. Poor service, comically small sushi on top of rolls and bad fish, thats a bad combo.

I havent been here for a while and decided to try it since it looks like its under new management. The sushi was a lot better than it was before but the waitresses were so rude. They had a rude face when dealing with the customers but would go laughing in the back. They didnt come check up on us and I had to fine them in the back to ask for my check because they were no where to be found. This is the closes sushi place to me but Id rather drive a little more to get better service especially when we were one of the only two customers there.

I used to love Shin Sushi so much. I always ordered from there because the food tasted so fresh! The customer service on the other hand is something else. My boyfriend ordered food from there and the driver showed up and handed him the food. Now, we always tip and he was looking for his wallet and couldnt find it so he told her he didnt have anything to give and she insisted to charge his card to which he said no because he had some charges pending. She still waited there knowing he had nothing to give so I suggested he give her some of our laundry coins and he did but he felt very uncomfortable because although he said he didnt have anything to give, she still stood there waiting and he felt forced. She even still charged his card extra money without telling him so he had an extra 3.31 cents charged to the order. So he ends up complaining to grubhub but they said Shin has their own drivers so grubhub contacted them and let them know what happened with their driver making us uncomfortable and for some reason they had the driver call my boyfriend on his cell. So she starts arguing with him and yelling at him (which im glad i recorded when she started raising her voice) and she was so angry she would cut him off or not let him speak. We spoke to grubhub again and they said they contacted the owners to let them know. I loved this place until it made me uneasy that they just have their drivers call you after you make a complaint and just make you feel worse.

I enjoyed this restaurant. This is in Cambodian Town, but it is quite nice. It offers Thai and Japanese dishes. There ramen is quite tasty. Give it a try if you ever want a quick bite or want to spend time with friends. Its a hidden gem!

Food and drinks are solid at their price point. Nice daily specials (seared salmon belly today!) and happy hour deals on Japanese beer, rolls, bento boxes, ramen, and appetizers. Service was great, and we even enjoyed a delicious chefs special on the house at the bar. Free parking in their lot, outdoor seating, and convenient PCH location. Definitely recommend for American-friendly Japanese food at a great price.

We had a great meal last night at Shin - we used a Groupon this time - but we will return to this place whenever we feel the need for Korean BBQ. A few months ago we did Chung Ki Wa in K-Town and - to my way of eating - this place was better. The banchan - little side dishes - were delicious and exceptional - the fish cake alone was heaven and the kim chee is spicy, sharp and delightful. The sweet potato puree was inspired and even the sprouts were well-served and delicious. We ordered the Emperors Feast - because it is quite a deal. We shared an exceptional tofu stew - I crave it as I write this - and had kim chee fried rice - its all part of The Feast - the server mixed it at our table -and it was so good - just the right amount of spice and the textures meld well to tease and please your palate.

OMG! The bomb. I am addicted. This is why I cant gain weight. I love the Caterpillar, and California roll with fried shrimp (Sushi). I love the ginger. My dish is the Kra Prao. They know me by voice, now. I order so much. They delivered to my home, my friends home and my work place. I am in love. OOOH! and the authentic Thai iced tea.🤤 OMG! Ramen is good and the hand rolls we ordered were also good. What wasnt great was that we got our orders wrong twice. Fiancé ordered a salmon skin hand roll and was given a spicy salmon hand roll... another server came by to correct our original servers mistake and told us to keep the first one on the house. Second time we asked for Miso ramen as well as shoyu ramen. With a quickness we were given two bowls when the second server came by to alert our original server that we were given another tables orders. Wow. Eventually we were given the correct order and were on our merry way.Ramen was just as good as ones we usually have in San Diego (after all we were just visiting Long Beach that day) and no msg which is awesome. Hand roll was packed with protein which was good as well. Dont know if this was just a fluke or not.
