The food is awesome! They offer a senior discount. Great for large groups. Great for families with children. There are many options for seating. Hot Pot at its best! We always get the spicy soup not to spicy. Creating a balanced meal is a snap vegetable plate, seafood and meats are high quality, and they even have wagu beef. Make sure to try the pepper paste.The service staff are always on point. They will help you order and are happy and pleasant. They will come by and offer service many times just right. They have many special offers throughout the month. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant! You’ll be glad you did.

Intimate, cozy and yet full of friendly staff. I have to admit I was a little intimidated when I first walked in because most of the customers seem to be regulars. My feelings were put at easy by the friendly staff and owner. They took the time to explain their process and teach me how to use the equipment.The meat options are not large but the quality is superb. The meat cuts are excellent and so are their vegetable trays. Their shrimp is cleaned, peeled and without the heads. So, you are actually getting to enjoy your flavors. I have gone to the buffet style shabu shabu restaurants but I have to say this place was better than those. The quality of the food and broths is impressive. The buffet style versions are full of fillers but they give the illusion that you are getting more for your money (lots of fillers).I paid around $30 for myself and that included their basic meats, vegetables and soda. If you ask me, the best $30 in a shabu shabu style restaurant. I will definitely visit again. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center sandwiched between In N Out and Panda Express.

We got the AYCE and food quality was surprisingly super good! The beef belly was our favorite. Love that they’re generous with the sauces and vegetables too. Don’t sleep on the dashi broth!But the best part of our dinner was the service. Every server was super helpful and friendly - we accidentally lost track of time and stayed 30 mins past close *oops* but they never rushed us. We felt so bad! They were so nice regardless so of course we left them the solid tip they deserved. Definitely coming back!

My partner and i ordered unlimited meat. Server said hell serve the 2nd batch after we clear the initial he served. We were waiting for the server for the 2nd batch of meat, like 15 minutes, until we lost our appetite. Left disappointed of the service. We still paid for unlimited meat.

I went to this all-you-can-eat shabu place for the second time and had a reservation at 7 pm. Its a small dining spot with a shabu bar in the center and four long tables to share with others. The tonkatsu broth was thick and had just the right flavor, but I noticed the meat quality had declined a bit. On the bright side, their lobster balls and fish cakes were tasty, and their curry from the side menu was a hit. However, during my second round, the lady who took my order somehow lost it, which resulted in a delay. I had to wait longer than expected. Also, navigating through people seated next to you can be quite challenging. At the end of the day, though, it was a pretty satisfying meal.

Great ayce shabu shabu option. Protein choices are a bit limited: beef, beef belly, pork, pork belly, and shrimp. Wagyu beef available with added cost. Although protein choices are not extensive, but what they have are pretty good quality and definitely not a big step down just because its ayce.My favorite soup based is sukiyaki, the slight sweetness highlights flavors of both meat and veggies.

We made our reservation and it stated we were #3 on the list. 30 mins passed. A few more families went in. 1 hour came by. Still no table. This place is VERY small. Price is reasonable but you have to share one pot for 2/4 people. I didnt understand that concept. Place was so so. Will not go back.

First and foremost, amazing customer service. Really made our first time here feel so comfortable. Everyone was super attentive and helpful. We loved that it wasnt a big place, that made the experience very personal.Very good selection of items, not too much to overwhelm you and you could realistically try almost everything in one trip. The meat quality was great and best of all the soup served as a great base! Season the soups to your liking, we personally love that the broth was not too overseasoned, we can really make it our own but the base is very very solid.We went with the pork bone broth and the spicy miso, complimented each other very well. Definitely give the diablo flavor drop a try, a little bit goes a long way, the right way. Personal favorite cut of meat was definitely the beef belly. This spot is located in a small shopping center. Theres on-site parking. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. We ordered the spicy miso and the tonkatsu with vegetables, fish and shrimp balls, pork, shrimp and tofu. Everything looked fresh. Will be coming back for more!

My husband and I go here a couple times a month and its is hands down my favorite place to eat. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is up beat with orders and chants of appreciation being called out in unison. Great place for social dining!Update: unfortunately theyre never open anymore... We went here for an early bite to eat on a Monday evening. The place was relatively empty, because it was so early. We ordered a hot pot and a few side dishes. Everything was delicious. Their spicy soup is not very spicy. Its got the slightest amount of heat and so much flavor. I would definitely come back here.

Made a reservation for two at the counter and they gave us only one pot for two people. The pot in front of me was being by someone else. When I asked how come we only get one pot we were told there were two soup in a pot. There was no one else sharing a pot so they just lied to us. I would have had to reach across a stranger to eat from a shared pot just because they wanted to squeeze another seat in to somewhere they didn’t design for a seat.

This place is awesome! Great food, great vibe, great staff, its all good! The food is delicious, and with so many options its hard to go wrong. If youre new to shabu-shabu or grilling, the friendly staff will guide you through the process to help you get it right. The space is lively, so dont expect to go there for a romantic date, but do expect to enjoy the buzz of lively conversation, sizzling food, and tasty treats! Parking is right outside (this location is in a mall), and is free.

We were going to eat here, and my daughter picked another place. Ill come back and try the food in the future. I took pics while I was waiting. Very Japanese, clean, zen, and nice decor. Really nice staff but didn’t love the shabu shabu. The ponzu soup base was too sweet and there aren’t that many food options. The vegetable variety is very very limited as was the meat. Was pretty disappointed given the price - we got the all you can eat expecting a lot more options. I’m rounding up and giving it 3 stars because the people are nice but wouldn’t be my first stop for this genre of food.

I got sucked in because of the table top Japanese BBQ charcoal grill. My wife and I shared one large prime beef shabu shabu set and prime tongue and prime rib eye for the Japanese BBQ. The beef quality for the BBQ was good but very small portion. However, the shabu shabu set was a joke. Didnt try any hot food from the kitchen though. If you have a large party, you can call ahead to reserve a table. The staff are very nice and attentive.

On if the best pleasures in life is sitting and having a meal and everyone is reaching for the food without complaining. This is very rare in my family. Almost at every restaurant someone is unhappy with the food choice. Nothere. They have shabushabu which is soup based and ikiniku which is grilled based. You cook on the table and the staff there teaches you what to do. It was great and highly recommend. I suggest the spicy soup based which is not really spicy. Do ask for soup bowls. All the beef they has was good quality and tasty. Dont be intimidated go in and just ask them to explain or recommend. Good Luck

One of my favorite shin-sen-gumi restaurants, sort of a hot pot restaurant, your choice of meat sliced thin to cook in the broth with assortment of vegetables. Tiny charcoal grill available too for BBQ. Relaxed atmosphere, authentic modern Japanese feeling. Not all you can eat, but its like ordering entrees at any restaurant, the larger the steak, the higher the price, in this case its the cut and size of meat. Im here at least twice a month.

What an lovely first shin sen experience! Had been interested in trying this place when we lived in LA. We ordered the kobe beef prime rib platter ($26), then spicy shabu shabu with korabuta pork large ($23) plus extra orders of meat. If youve been to one Shin-Sen-Gumi, you kinda know how the system works and this one isnt different in terms of quality and taste. However, if you havent been, this Shin-Sen-Gumi is focused on shabu-shabu for an affordable price and always stellar service. Waits can vary (on a Wednesday night, we waited for less than 10 minutes) and went mainly for the late night happy hour (which happens from Mon. - Thurs. - 8-11PM). You pay about $18 for all-you-can eat beef shabu shabu. It wont be the best quality meat and youll have to pay more for extras but its a solid meal and they have a ton of other options available from side dishes to beer/sake. Parking is plentiful with a private lot.

This is by far my favorite ramen spot in California. Ive been to all of the Shin Sen Gumi Ramen spots, and the one in Gardena has the highest quality of service and best tasting out of all of them. Highly recommended, get the tonkatsu with bacon.. and the takana chahan fried rice.

I ordered pork bone and spicy umami soup. The soup was so delicious! ! ! It was amazing when I ate it with a sauce made with ponzu sauce, grated garlic, and green onions. In addition, you could choose from yuzu pepper, grated daikon radish, mustard greens, etc., and enjoy the shabu-shabu with various flavors. There were four types of meat to choose from, pork and beef, and they were all delicious! When I went there on a Saturday night, it was probably understaffed, so the staff didnt come over very often, and before I knew it, I was full. 💦But everyone was so kind!

An all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant. There are several types of soup to choose from, and there is also a raw egg, so you can make it sukiyaki-style. The meat was 2 types of beef and 2 types of pork (there were some for a limited time, but they were sold out). Every meat was delicious. All-you-can-eat vegetables, other ingredients, rice and curry rice. Soft drinks are an extra charge, but I was happy to have all-you-can-drink and cold green tea.
