Shogun Japanese Restaurant in Stockton

My first time here was because our favorite spot happened to be closed. I liked the reviews and decided to give it a try.We were not disappointed!! The service is excellent! And the fish is fresh and the sushi is delicious and creative.Came back for the second time to celebrate my Mothers birthday. Definitely planning on coming back soon!

The fish roman is wonderful. The staff are helpful . I have been coming here for special occasions with family since I was little and the plase is just as good now under new management as it was under the old management.

Server and chef was very friendly, and food was excellent.Please, order the BBQ ribs.We ate them so fast, I forgot to get a photo of them.

The cowboy roll was good and the sashimi tasted fresh. But we watched as our calamari sat on the counter for 5-7 minutes and it wasn’t very hot when we got it. Overall it was a nice little sushi place but not really something I would go across town for.

This place is really good. Fantastic experience! Such a great place. Super clean and GREAT food! The pictures shown have the Falcon roll and the Lion king roll. Great hot 🍶sake and Japanese beer. Friendly servers and cooks show that they put care into their food and you experience. Im going back again soon sooo good 😊 five out of five 🤩

The food was great. I was invited by a friend to meet at Shogun. And now I am keep coning back. The service and food are good. People are nice and make you feel special. I recommend to try it. And now updating my reviews, 8/18/2022, went there to celebrate birthday and they went beyond. I didn’t have a bday cake for my son but they made a way so he can still “blow a cake” as tradition. I salute them for this effort as mon means so much to me. Thank you and God Bless you.

First time here! And the food was great and hot. My coworkers and I decided to try it out. The service was good as well, fast and friendly. Felt like a comfortable atmosphere. I personally enjoy having my food come to me nice and hot like another other customer but I really love it when the employees seem happy. And I seen them all smiling and laughing. Which makes the setting very pleasant. Im really REALLY picky with my sushi so Im glad I found a place close by (work) that I can go to. Definitely going back again!

9/10/22 Saturday morning lunch. Greeted and seated right away. Ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees along with beer and hot sake. Food was amazing. The balance of rice, fish and sauces were perfected with the roll. The sashimi salad was flavorful. The appetizers were cooked to perfection. The service was great! We were given undivided attention and also they made sure drinks were refilled etc. If you come in during a busy hour just keep in mind they are short staffed and be patient. Its worth it!
