Came here for impromptu dinner with mom and sis, wait time was 20+ mins after 4pm - understandable, because this place is bustling. Dinner was delicious and entertaining! The chef, was so funny and younger than most I’ve had the pleasure to watch. He refreshed the show that’s put on 🤩 the server was also great - very personable, attentive and accommodating. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Nice place and huge, attention buy employees is outstanding, starting from the entrance to the person who seat us the bar tender and the cook, price is reasonable and bathrooms are very clean, if I come her again I will visit this place for sure

I find Shogun to be a really enjoyable meal. I definitely felt the pinch in my pocketbook at the end of the meal...ouch.. but that is just me. It was crowded but not too much as we waited a mear 12 minutes for the whole of our party to arrive and a station to be cleared. My only real complaint is that the dinner show (cant recall the correct terminology) is dated . The food is cooked well. The service is above sufficient, and for a special occasion, Id say to definitely give them a go.

Everything about this excellent restaurant is marvelous. Great service, clean, delicious Japanese food. 5 stars!!

Shogun is one of the best dining establishments in Pasadena. Not only is the food ALWAYS prepared to perfection, but the wait staff is so accommodating and attentive, and its always a good time being in there on a Friday/Saturday night! On our most recent visit (with a toddler and a 1-year-old) the wait staff was so on top of it! They brought the kids drinks with lids, extra miso soup, and white rice without even being asked. Rita is the best server ever and the chefs always do an amazing job with any modifications (like no butter). This is honestly our favorite restaurant to go to as a family, and the quantity of food is always MORE than enough!

The Wife and I enjoy Shogun. Food was good, our waitress was on her A game and got a good tip. The only concern I had was it was too bright inside, not cozy, couldnt see the flame on the onion volcano. Otherwise good place... Go

First time there food was excellent I will definitely be back

I ordered the Genji combination (Seafood), which consists of Shrimp, Scallops, Calamari Steak and Lobster. It came with fried rice and I also ordered Sushi. My food was pretty good. 4.4 stars. My Lobster was the highlight. It was tasty. Good flavor. I want to order that again. I would come back for sure.

The food was great. Grill area was quite busy like for a Monday night. We chose the sushi / dinning room. I did not like the cheap laminate tables. Some nice wooden floor and wood on tables would make this place more appealing. I tend to come back to nice places more.
