Best sushi I have had in A long time! Very $$$$ pricy for sharing the bill. Also we were ask if we made reservations! So we sat At the sushi bar. It was very busy & you must try the eggplant special

This spot is really quite incredible. A true oasis of great food in the desert. I highly recommend you make reservations if you have a party of more than 3-4 people.The menu is very simple and everybody in mymgeoup loved the food. The fish was incredibly well prepared and the attention to detail was evident in the presentation. Had the sushi dinner and found it to be a culinary treat. In particular the albacore left me and a few of my buddies raving.The staff was super friendly and our waitress was excellent at recommending sake. Try the unfiltered for something a bit different!Completely spaced on taking a picture of my dinner, but took a snap shot of some of the fish!

We finally came back after a few years, and wow, I don’t need any other sushi place ever again. The sea bass was even more incredible than I had remembered from a few years back and it just melts in your mouth! The sushi was perfect — not too cold, but also not warm or anything, unlike a lot of sushi places that have very cold pieces of fish. This was the perfect temperature, and each piece melted in your mouth. I highly recommend the sea bass combo with the sushi. We went at 5:30 pm on a Saturday with a reservation but it wasn’t too busy.The wait staff was very nice, unlike a couple other reviews mentioned. They were attentive and provided me with a recommended sake, which was very good! It’s a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it for the authentic Japanese delicacy that Master sushi Chef Masa offers here. ご馳走様でした！また来ます！

Shogun Sushi is a small restaurant that you could be completely forgiven for missing as you drive past on an unlit evening.Id encourage you not to do so.This quiet, clean, unrushed and utterly unpretentious establishment has seemingly one focus, and that is the quality of the sushi they prepare. I enjoyed a spicy tuna roll that was spot on in its subtlety and focus on the flavor of the tuna, something only done at restaurants not motivated to hide their lesser quality ingredients with an overabundance of heat.Likewise the salmon roll with scallop was a subtle and well-integrated dish, made carefully, and presented well.My appetite only permitted me to try the two rolls, but Im now eager to go back with friends.There are many paths to disappointment and regret whilst attempting sushi in the AV. You may spend just a bit more here, but you will feel better about yourself (and likely just feel better) after you dine here.

Had an amazing sushi dinner a few Saturdays ago. The staff and chef are super sweet and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and fish quality is excellent. I was really thrown off to find a traditional Japanese restaurant in the middle of the desert and am very pleased. The current owner is the widow of previous owner/chef and she reopened the business. Please come and support them! Also, please beware that this is establishment serves traditional Japanese food, which takes more care and time to prepare so please be patient.

I went here with my sister and it was by far some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The service was absolutely excellent, the establishment was throughly cleaned and provided safe distancing for dining. It absolutely some of the best customer service I’d ever received. The pricing was affordable and worth every penny. The food was served quickly, and our hostess attended to us when needed. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. Absolutely 10/10!

Review for March 23rd 2022. Shogun Sushi Restaurant is located in east Palmdale California. Masa San is the owner and the Itamae. This place is by far the most authentic sushi place you can ever hope to visit. Truly a Hidden Gem and we are very fortunate to have this place here in Palmdale. The owner here literally goes to the San Pedro Harbor every day to buy the fish he will be serving that day. A true master at sushi. This place is not very big but the authenticity of the sushi here is far beyond anyone can ever imagine. Possibly the best sushi in ALL Los Angeles county. Im not guilty, to say that I absolutely LOVE 🍣 SUSHI. If anyone ever have the privilege to visit Shogun Sushi, youd been the fortunate few to ever have REAL AUTHENTIC sushi in Los Angeles county.

Not only was the food fresh and prepared as delicious as possible, the setting was as enjoyable and the service a full, 5 stars. The server helped when it came to picking sake and food & everything was spot on, they went so far as to ask us what tastes we like to make sure we got what we wanted. Thank you!

Simple, straightforward, traditional sushi. Youre not going to find anything called a Hot Night or Vegas Roll here. But the quality of fish is simple perfection. I was a bit disappointed that they didnt have any uni or saba when we came in, however the flavor of the salmon, scallops, and toro more than made up for it. Plus, they have natto!

Delicious! The food was amazing and service was great. Total hidden gem. Pictured is the spicy shrimp roll, eggplant tempura, and mixed tempura.
