Bright, lovely atmosphere and the amount of food you get for approximately $20 is also great. Definitely recommend the number 2, the kimchi butter katsu chicken w/ 1 hot chicken musubi.Can’t recommend this place enough.

Long wait for the food but definitely wanted to try. We ordered the Kimchi butter katsu chicken with rice and the chicken sandwich. The chicken was good but I think the Mac salad mix isn’t for me.We also came before closing and there was a DJ playing. Seems like a nice hangout spot while eating.

Decided to stop by while exploring Rodeo 39, and glad I did!I couldn’t decide which musubi to try, so I went ahead and got one of each they had available which were the spam brulee musubi, honey coconut shrimp musubi, and the hot chicken musubi. They were all delicious, tasted fresh, and all the flavors were very well balanced.I also got one of each cocktail flavor they offered on the menu, and they were nice and strong. I definitely recommend if you like fruity flavors.One thing I regret not trying was their hot chicken sandwich. After trying the hot chicken musubi, it left me wishing I had more. It will definitely be on my list to try next time I am here.The service was great. Everyone I interacted with were super friendly and all had smiles on their faces.I highly recommend making time (and space in your stomach) to stop here if you are in the area or exploring Rodeo 39!

If you want to wait over an hour for a small sandwich made by incompetent high schoolers then sure. This place is for you. There are definitely better places in rodeo 39 market than this place which is a shame because weve been here before, years ago, and the place was really good. Too bad its been congested by adolescent impudence for the food to be any good anymore. Attached is the one sandwich I waited OVER AN HOUR for.

Ahhhhhhhmazing! The kimchi butter chicken was so good and mouth watering. The macaroni salad was decent and they seasoned their rice with furikake so I didn’t mind consuming the carbs lol. Didn’t get to try the musubis but next time because they look goooooood too.

Delicious food! We loved the spicy katsu. It was our first time, and it got recommended to us.We also got to try the strawberry lemonade as well as the peach one (Destiny added a spritz of seltzer and it made it extra delicious!). Both drinks were really good as well.Overall, a 10/10 experience. Will definitely return and try more things on the menu!

We love the Kimchi Butter Katsu sandwich. My sister always grabs one while shes down in OC before heading back to LA. The Walnut Shrimp musubi and the Brulee musubi are also favorites. Theyre such a great suped up versions of the already delicious musubi. We either get the deal of 2 Kimchi butter Katsu sandwiches or the family meal. Cant go wrong with either. Let me add that their customer service is exceptional. Theyve got positive aloha spirit which is refreshing from a young group.

I wasnt ready for this place to be in a mall. But it was a food court and was actually amazed at the different varieties. I typically cant stand spicy. But I ordered my chicken spicy and was blown away by the flavor. Even my wife said that was spicy. But the cool wave drinks took the sting away. Would definitely go back.

I have never had Hawaiian BBQ before, but Ive always been very interested, and this place is definitely the right spot to try! I didnt realize this location was inside of a mall, so prepare to find parking, and then walk inside of the food court. Also, be prepared for the extremely high prices. If you want to save some money, grab one of their spicy chicken sandwiches, or do their 2 sandwiches for like $13, which is a great deal. But I got the spicy chicken katsu plate, with spam fried rice and Mac, it was DELICIOUS, oh my gosh!! So juicy and flavorful l, I would honestly come back and spend the $20 again to have this if I was ever in the area. So much flavor, so if you are ready to spend the $$$, then definitely try this place. The drinks sounded pretty good, but they are like $5 each, which would have brought me to $25 for one person, so I didnt get the drink. They also charge for sauce. Im pretty happy I came by here :)

Ordered the Loco Moco and made it a combo ($5 more) which adds a musubi of choice and a drink. Comes with rice and Mac salad on the side. Very good. Would order again. This place has a private outdoor seating area with a couple of long tables, a circular table and couple of couches surrounding a coffee table. Management might wanna switch up the high chairs they looked kinda dingy and gross to sit in.

But good righteous food. It even has a microbrewery. Try it out!! Parking in front or the back is easier to find a spot. There is a rear entrance.

Jalapeño garlic shrimp plate:Sooooo bomb. These shrimps are fried to perfection that even the tails taste good (kind of like a garlic chip). I didnt really taste much jalapeño and there were only a couple on the plate. The mac n cheese was good but not amazing. The rice was good and works really well w the garlic sauced shrimps.

First time trying Shootz.... I was debating between the chicken sandwich or the plate. I asked the person in line behind me if he had eaten here before and he said yes. They have the most amazing chicken sandwich.My kids always joke that I order the same food over and over so it was a no brainer to stick to my usual chicken sandwich.I decided to get the combo which came with a choice of musubi. I was told to try the honey coconut shrimp option, as it is usually more expensive when trying it a la carte. I guess I am not a fan of musubi. I didnt like the seaweed.Lets move on to the Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich. OMG! This was the most moist chicken sandwich I have ever tasted. They put macaroni salad on top of this chicken, which I thought might be weird, but it was pretty tasty.Definitely one of my favorite places inside the Rodeo 39 food court.

I ordered the hot kimchi butter katsu chicken sandwich and omg it was the tastiest thing I’ve had in a while. It’s hands-down a favorite now. The chicken was delicious, the mac salad was perfect, and the bun tied it all together perfectly. For $6.99 too?! I was satisfied with one, but I can definitely eat 2 if I’m really hungry (don’t judge me.) I will definitely be back to try everything else on their menu. Their prices are really good and they also have family-sized meals. The staff was suuuper sweet and friendly! (The employees helping me kept complimenting my outfit 😂💕 so sweet) I seriously can’t wait to be back. I took my food to enjoy at the beach, and it was still delicious, but I’m sure the food is even better when eaten there, which is what I will do next time.They were one of the busier spots in there (and I now know why) but they were quick to help their customers. I also appreciated the fact that I could order ahead online!

I had high hopes for this place… traveling from MN just to eat delicious food, Shootz did not disappoint. So much flavor and zest in each bite. Their Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken is by far the tastiest katsu chicken I ever had. The plate usually comes with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of mac salad, but a friend recommended getting 2 scoops of mac salad, and I did not regret it one bit. Today I tried Shootz for the first time. I ordered a kimchi butter katsu chicken plate, a garlic jalapeño shrimp plate, and a creme brûlée musubi. Each Hawaiian plate came w two scoops of rice, and an awesome scoop of Mac salad. The Mac wasn’t too thick like, but more fresh n tasty.And the shrimp was addictive! Personally, I like skin on shrimp. And lastly the butter and kimchi flavor was great on the katsu. Comfort food at its best!

Updated review (10/22)- Came back again with my sister in law, she wanted to try it since shes heard good things. I tried the Shrimp n rice this time. It was good, but def favorite is still the sando. My SIL enjoyed the sando very much.I am glad I didnt get any QC issues this time because I really do enjoy the food here. Everytime I order they never give my food in a timely matter after I received my text. I waiting 10+ min after receiving my text to get my food. I told the cashier once and I was standing at the side and then had to wait until she was done with the line. And then when it was slow another person ordered after me picked up. This place has a nice spin on Hawaiian food, we ordered 200 bucks worth of food an covered pretty much each combo an they all were very good. Definitely recommend trying it out. The shopping center is inside Korea town and the entire design is a clean set up and has a ton of dessert places an fun shops. It would be a good date night or place to kill time before or after a meal.

Food was okay. Mango Tea was too sweet and didnt find it to be packed with mango flavor. I had my first Spam Musubi in my life from here and I guess it was ok. More rice than Spam. Kimchi Butter Chicken was just ok, I thought there would be actual kimchi. Just Kimchi flavored butter. The macaroni salad is basically pasta and mayo with paprika sprinkled on top.The worst part was the waiting, more than half an hour wait was not worth it!

I was really excited to try this place for the first time. For a relatively simple order I waited over 20 minutes even though they had relatively few people ordering.I ordered the Katsu plate and only realized I had received the shrimp plate once I arrived home. While it was a more expensive order, my gf who doesnt eat seafood was a bit upset. I also ordered the spam musubi so she was able to enjoy something from here. The food was tasty, but a lightly overpriced for the amount of food received.If we can fix the wait times compounded by a mixed up order Ill happily update my review.

Based on recommendations I tried the butter chicken katsu sandwich and made it a combo with the spam masubi. Every thing was so delicious. I’ve never tried masubis before but they got texture and flavors of sushi and I really enjoyed it.

Have to say, I like trying new food from new places and this place surprised me. The menu is small but good choice of items listed. The hot kimchi butter chicken sandwich I extremely recommend. The spiciness level goes perfect with the macaroni toppings and the chicken was delicious and tender. Highly recommend this place, great staff and very helpful. Thank you

One of the best chicken sandwiches and the musubis are delicious. However the day we went they were doing some kind of menu photo shoot. So our order took for ever to come out as they seemed to prioritize the food they were making for the shoot. Bad customer service as advertising should come 2nd to a paying customer. Owner should take that into consideration.

As an Islander, the food looked good and the vibe was nice there. It was chill and the outside eating area was relaxing, But the food wasnt the best. The Spam Musubi was lacking in flavor and a little burnt. The short ribs were alright but could still use some work, and the Mac salad was hella bland.

I have been here a couple of times, and to be honest I only enjoyed it ever so slightly the first time, but after the sandwich I had today....it was the bomb!!!! The sandwich starts with a grilled brioche bun then finishes with a crispy chicken katsu with an explosion of butter then a slight kick of spice. The mac salad adds a creamy sweet tone to balance out the spicy oil. If that was not enough to get you to try Shootz, the Plate version is even better!!!! (Katsu naturally pairs with rice vs bread)Their masubis are unique. the coconut shrimp I had today was good. I had too much rice the first time I got it, but this time was better.I have also had their garlic shrimp plate which reminded me of the shrimp trucks on the North Shore.Upgraded to 5 from 4 stars!

Shootz is one of my favorite places inside rodeo 39 and ALWAYS hits the spot. the spam brulee misubi is a MUST GET. the only way a spam misubi gets better than it already is is if you add a layer of mayo and brulee some brown sugar on top. the jalapeño shrimp is always super savory and the flavor just goes so well with the spam fried rice.

Lunch at primal cut restaurant. I requested for my steak to be well done, it was medium rare.They had to cook another steak, meanwhile my sides got cold.They didnt bother to give me new ones, and they didnt apologize for the inconvenience. For the amount my husband and I paid,I would think the service would be better. DEBRA.

Got the hot kimchi chicken sandwich, was amazing! The chicken was extremely tender, almost no effort needed to bite through it. And the flavor is not spicy enough where you cant enjoy the taste, but just enough for a kick. Will be coming back!

Do not support this restaurant. They hired extremely rude, disrespectful, unethical, and ill manners employees. If a place could hire that type of workers. Do you trust them to serve you clean food? We waited 15 mins for a parking spot on a Saturday afternoon. Finally a car pulled out and we tried to pull in. An employee of Shootz came in from another way and stole our parking. I came out to let him know we were waiting first before him. Instead he started to use F* words. I told him I will report it to his manager and he said they will laugh as us. I asked him that the types of people working there? Unethical and with ill behaviors? I am beyond shocked and disbelief. He drove an old Toyota Camry with license plate 5YMN719.

I tried their new mango green tea lemonade but I wasn’t a fan of the mango flavoring that they used. I asked to exchange it with water and the employee was really polite and gave me two water bottles so that I got my money’s worth. My favorite place in rodeo!

Shootz is my go to place at Rodeo 39! Theres always a line and for good reason. The portions are big and delicious, and the workers are usually really nice.My favorite is the Kimchi Butter Katsu. The flavor is sooo good compared to other chicken katsu Ive had. Its the perfect amount of spice and flavor, and I always want to try new places at Rodeo but I always come back. I alternate between the plate and the sandwich, depending on if I feel like having rice or bread. The buns are sweet and delish too and it comes with the macaroni salad.I also love the jalapeno shrimp! It has a unique flavor and it comes with a decent amount of shrimp.The spam musubi is sweet and flavorful. A little pricey but worth it.Overall, I love this place and always come back for more! Definitely a must try if youre looking for food!

Fried rice was mushy, macaroni salad had no flavor or seasoning and the garlic shrimp were fried with the skin left on the shrimp, so all of the garlic flavor had to be peeled off to eat the shrimp, cause who eats the skin? Pretty much was a waste of 20 bucks because it went right into the trash.

That was my opinion after the first time trying it and decided to give it another try but still think the same... They have a very good presentation but taste isnt there... L&L Hawaiian Barbecue and Ono Hawaiian BBQ both have better tasting food than this...
