Shor in Hawaiian Gardens

Just had dinner here and was pleasantly surprised and blown away by the creativity and freshness of everything, from drinks to food to service.Ordered the mantu (beef dumplings) and dahi puri (puffed crackers with fillings) and both were delicious. The dahi puri was room temp and fillings were cool so a very welcome dish in this hot weather.For the mains, had the eggplants off the special menu and the chicken biryani and both were also delicious although the biryani was quite spicy.Topped off with some drinks (double apple served smoked and the pina coloda).Would highly recommend and even though they were very quiet on a Monday evening, hope they succeed because everything was great!

I visited Shor restaurant this weekend with friends. The staff were friendly and welcoming, however I cannot recommend this place because the food was low-quality it didn’t taste authentic, serving sizes were small and the prices were much higher than at other restaurants. My friends didnt enjoy their meals either, and I felt like I wasted both my money and time. The restaurant itself looks nice and fancy, but the food needs significant improvement. We spent around $160 for 3 people. Here are some of the pictures from food only chapli kabab and nan are missing from the pictures. Very good presentation of food.

The ambiance and service were really good. I would definitely recommend the goat cheese naan, although the curry could be better. The chole bhature we ordered had a very basic taste, nothing special. The saag paneer was also just okay. I dont remember the taste well enough to want to go back and eat it again. The dosa was definitely tasty and well-cooked (crisp). My friends ordered chicken and kabab, and they also thought that the taste was average. They would not go again. If you remove the ambiance from the equation, then the food is just average.Most importantly for the prices we are paying, its not worth the food taste and quantity.

The Shor restaurant has plenty of parking. You are greeted on entry and a very friendly manager guides you. We ordered the appetizer that was all good. The Balauch chicken is good. The best is Karahi-dish we got the beef one it was exceptional well cooked tasty beef. It is enough for 3-4 people. The bread is awesome and we had the sweet dish and tea. Osaka was an excellent server on our table .We enjoyed the dinner and will be back soon. They serve free fruits, dates and the cool drink roohafza that were all complementary due to the fasting month. The drink was awesome I also had the mango lassi which was superb.

I was intimidated by the exterior look and the Instagram posts, surprisingly it is way friendlier. Prices are fair, it is family friendly but at the same time very romantic and cozy. Food was delicious, menu is not as extended as other places but it definitely has a good selection, I believe this contributes to higher quality food. Mocktails are also tasty. Service was A+. Will definitely come back, couldnt find a single item I didnt like.

Made and served with passion and out of the box thinking. Our whole group rates it 5 all the way! Our server was Costa and he was well-informed and courteous.

Shor had a warm and cozy atmosphere, the food (lamb chops and shrimp curry) was more sweet not spicy, the lamb didn’t have a smell and was prepared with consideration. The service was not what I was expecting in such an establishment, after the dinning experience I felt uncomfortable being asked for my number by the waiter. I would have appreciated a peaceful dining experience, especially as solo dining. I didn’t like being approached in that way. I hope management will voice it to the staff and take that into consideration to make sure it doesn’t happen again with other diners. There should be a professional staff and atmosphere in such an establishment. Thank you for understanding.

Food which come with the traditional flavour of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Very good ambience and a traditional tadka with desi music takes you back to your country. Must try.

The food is really amazing and the atmosphere is on a different level. This restaurant is a must try. Will come back again for sure.
