Shus Korean Restaurant in Santa Clara

A very homey feeling korean restaurant, that has a giant menu.Our table got the Ssam Bab which is a platter of veggies to wrap with meat. Lots of veggies and meat isn’t as much so you can order an extra meat dish to wrap with it. It also comes with a tofu soupLots of good side dishes so definitely good to eat.Parking might be a lil hard and very cramped but the neighborhood down the street has plenty of parking.The servers are your typical Korean ladies who like to mom you so be aware of that. Note: if you’re not used to it, it might come off as rude in some cultures.Lots of seating overall, meant for big parties.

The galbi was good. Moist, tender, well marinated/seasoned. The side dishes were good. The kimchi pancake was good tho I wish it had more kimchi flavor. I liked my male server but I didnt like the vibe of the restaurant it felt stiff/unwelcoming. The male server I had on Sunday night was nice enough but idk why the cook al older Korean lady came to get my order. I didnt like her vibe at all. She didnt ask how I was doing, she wasnt warm or friendly, a little impatient. I almost left because of that. Next time Ill just do to go only and just enjoy my meal from home.

I went to eat ssambap this time.The staff was so kind and the food was delicious.

There is so many appetizers for everyone, somebody will try fire rice, tofu soup.I tried Beef marrow and octopus soup.

Good place to get Korean food. There is limited street parking in front of the store. But there are more parking spaces at the back.

Super korean vibe, but dont expect the service they are super busy. The food options are endless and big, sidd dishes are great, taste also very authentic

The food was good, but I wouldnt come back because of the waitresses. First, they dont pay attention while dining. You always have to flag them down for their attention even when theres barely anyone in the restaurant. Second, despite the bad treatment, I tipped 20% in cash. That wasnt enough for them. Theyre mad because they want 50% tip. Lady, you were MIA the whole time. I shouldve given you 0% tip. Worse service ever! They give Korean restaurants a bad name. 👎

The server told me that grilled pork belly is for one person. However you might not be able to finish it unless you have 3 people. I had to order one more meal because I though it was really for 1 person. I had to buy two boxes for the food I couldn’t finish. What a waste of money.

Large portion, octopus pot with offal, super delicious noodles

My family and I love coming here when we crave Korean food. They also free give appetizers unique to the Korean palette such as kimchi, potatoes, pickles, and even soup to enjoy along with your orders. The service is good, the servers friendly, the atmosphere is simple, almost homely, which is good for conversing with family/friends. Most dishes are for sharing so the portions are large and the price seems like its expensive but youre able to share with 3-4 people, so its reasonable. My favorite are the chicken wings and grilled pork.
