We came here on a Sunday morning. Food was good. We had the Spanish omelette, chocolate chip pancakes and their lattes. The food was prepared fresh and from starch which I appreciated. I would rate the quality good but the food average. The customer service was good from start to finish.

We were looking to enjoy some coffee breakfast after checking out of our hotel in Palm Desert. We got a glowing recommendation from a hotel employee to visit this place.Upon first arrival, we were seated and seemingly forgotten for several minutes. After what seemed like 10 minutes, we were about to get up and leave. One of the waiters then acknowledged this, came over, apologized, and took our order.We ordered the French crepe as well as the Belgian style waffles. I had an iced coffee and she had a hot latte. The food was brought to us quickly and the waiter had hot sauce and ketchup in his apron. I honestly dont know why more waiters dont bring hot sauce and ketchup with breakfast and fries. (This is why I only took off one star for service for initially forgetting about us.)The French crepe was out of this world, possibly at the best Ive ever had. It was a perfect combination of flavors from the ham, cheese, and greens. Perfect textures and perfect temperature. Ive never had Belgian waffles before, but they were very tasty. No need for butter since they were so soft already.The atmosphere is similar to a diner but theres a full bar. There were numerous tables available on a Tuesday morning.

Tonight we dined at Si Bon. It was no surprise to hear this restaurant was chosen as one of the best in the USA! We ordered from the AMAZING 3 course Summer Menu they offer. Just $32.00!!!!!The presentation, portions and quality of the food rates above 5 stars! We were very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the attention they gave our table! The bread pudding which was a dessert offered on the Summer menu was one of the best I’ve ever tasted! Go to SI Bon, you won’t be disappointed.🍴🌞🌴🍴

True professionals. Bravo!Stopped by on accident hungry after desert adventures and hot springs fun for Memorial Day Weekend.I left like royalty. This food is incredibly good. They are professionals to the fullest here. The flavors and freshness out of this world. I got a fish special with fries and mayo of course!The host greeted me with a warm smile, and graciously sat me down at a European Style cafe section with a gentle breeze cooling my body. The food is first rate. Id give them a Michelin Star for brunch.Doesnt matter if you are a carne lover, fish enthusiast or veggie vegan, They have something for everybody.Very kind people. Excellent! Staff more than attentive and make you feel so welcome! Even the chef walked by and checked in with us! We opted to take advantage of the happy hour which offered perfect size portions- we had the fish & chips which had 2 pieces of fried breaded fish filets, huge amount of fries and cole slaw and i had the thai shrimp salad bowl and it did not dissapoint. Dessert was really good too, omg im so full loloh, i saw cucumber soup on the menu so bought some for tomorrows lunch and i cant wait!itll be so refreshing after hiking all morning!

We’ve been coming to SI Bon for years .. and it never disappoints… Belgian fare at its best, it’s difficult to find high quality spots down here as consistency seems to be a killer here …. This place has been a favourite with 3, and counting… generations of our family being long time customers… the staff are very friendly and professional, the food is always freakishly consistent and the beers and wines are always complimentary to the food . I highly recommend this place, and they have a decent patio that allows smaller (well behaved dogs ) absolutely love this place

My friend and I came towards the end of brunch and it was packed. But luckily the wait time wasnt long at all and they managed to squeeze us in. We both ordered the Fried Chicken Waffle Sandwich. It was tasty, but it felt like something was missing. Maybe if they had a sauce for the chicken on the side it wouldve tasted much better. For the price, I wouldnt pay $20 to eat this again but Id come back and try different things from the breakfast menu.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it was absolutely spectacular in every way! Beginning with the cucumber soup to the final dessert course, I cannot say enough about the flavors, presentation and quality of our meal. The Chef came around and introduced himself, which we very much appreciated.Kelly M. served us and she was just terrific. We will definitely be returning!!

I came here with a couple of girlfriends for brunch, and the service and food were immaculate. I ordered the Mango Stuffed Belgian Waffled, and they were so good. Granted, there wasnt much mango stuffed inside the waffles, but the custard and fresh berries that topped the waffled were more than enough. Also, their decaf coffee is so good. The service was so wonderful. The server was very attentive and made sure my coffee cup was never half full. Also, they have fresh orange juice!

A venue with good food, good service, good atmosphere and moderate prices.Visited at 1pm today, Sunday, and in spite of the fact that the parking lot wasnt available due to resurfacing and stripping, the facility was almost at capacity. Food was very good as always, but we think the Thanksgiving dinner was waaaaaaay overpriced at $42 per plate.. Everything was tasty, but the simple fare and small portions were very disappointing.. We went ahead with the Thanksgiving plates because we had a gift card to cut the expense, but wouldnt have paid the high price per plate otherwise. Do love this restaurants fare, and no complaints about their normal prices for their Belgium based menu, but again, the simple turkey dinner and small portions were very disappointing...

Decent but I have higher expectations for French cuisine. Although the food was good and the pricing is decent, they didn’t have the attention to detail I would expect. We came for brunch and it seemed like the food sat under the heat lamp waiting for us and didn’t have as much flavor.The bar atmosphere is pretty awesome and they do have a robust alcohol and wine selection. And the Bloody Mary was spot on. Overall the 4.5 rating a bit generous.

Went here to celebrate a friends birthday. He had went the night before and raved about the food. I was less impressed. The service was GREAT and prices were reasonable. Dont get me wrong, the food was good, just not mind blowing. The lobster bite apps were good. I had the 6oz filet with shrimp. The wife had salmon. Both were good!

Dinner and Breakfast Review. BREAKFAST: My partner and I visited the restaurant in the morning to figure out whether this is a place we wanted to go to with companions in the evening. We had the Crepes French and Mexican. Personally I didnt care much for the crepe French, I found it lacking in favor. I tried my partners crepe Mexican, which was very good and I wished I ordered that one. The coffee was good. Regardless, we enjoyed our time so much we made reservations for supper. DINNER As a group of four we decided to make reservations at the restaurant prior to going to see Frankie Valli over at the Show located in Agua Caliente Casino resort. We were seated on the patio which is very nice. They have many heaters to keep the winter chill out. I had the Osso Bucco, others had: Beef Stroganoff (x2) and Sole with Lobster. The meals were delicious. None of us had room for dessert. With the exception of the Sole, all meals were served on pasta. At times we found it a bit noisy but people were enjoying themselves. They have dinner tables on the patio around the side and away from the larger patio area which is quieter. Unfortunately, our companions arrived earlier and were seated there but they had not turned on the heaters and they asked to be moved due to the chill. Ironically, we did not know they had arrived and had moved seats, so we were sitting in that area initially, they had put the heaters on, and we found it quite pleasant and had to turn the heaters down. Regardless we finally connected with our companions in the other area and had a very delightful pre-show evening. Staff eye pleasant and efficient. So whether you want to go to Si Bon for breakfast or for supper, I dont think you will be disappointed.

Very well received on a very busy Tuesday night. We were early for our reservation and with a little patience, they still fit us in. Great service, lovely atmosphere, awesome staff and delicious food. We will be back later again for sure. We had the mussels in a Chablis sauce, brussel sprouts, pasta, ravioli, and chocolate for dessert.

They messed up my gluten free pasta and brought out regular pasta. Glad I asked if it was gluten free when the food arrived. They took it back and my husband and son ate while I waited for my food to be cooked like I originally ordered. The gluten free shrimp Alfredo linguine had good shrimp, but the Alfredo sauce was lacking flavor. My son got the kids Mac n cheese, but my husband said it was lacking flavor. My husband got the Grilled hanger steak frites that he really liked and I was able to get the fruit and custard crepes with a gluten free crepe and it was REALLY DELICIOUS!! That was a great dessert! Overall, its kinda hit or miss with the flavor for some of the dishes, but those two items were tasty!

We love that they serve breakfast until noon during the week for those days we want to sleep in. My wife always gets the crepes and I get the American breakfast. Not greasy and fulfilling. My wife and I met another couple here for brunch and let me tell you, there were so many amazing entrées, we could hardly decide. She ended up getting some crepes and I got the best blueberry pancakes I have ever eaten. Thats not hyperbole, they truly were the best Ive ever had. The other meals were equally good... we hardly talked while eating!This place was so good, the only negative thing I can think of is that it would be pretty hard to spot while driving and decide on a whim to go. Si Bon delivers the basic French cuisine. Theres no flair to their menu, but there in not much to compare it to in the desert. The chicken salad was a mixture of mayonnaise and chicken with salt and pepper, no seasonings were noted. Waffle bread did not taste fresh. Other dishes were subpar compared to local French themed cuisines in the area. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Service was excellent! Atmosphere was romantic chic.

4.5 Really cute spot, friendly service, good food and selection.Came here for brunch with our daughters. We had the eggs Benedict, 1 daughter had the chicken and waffle sandwich, the other had the Belgian French toast. All the food was really good. Potatoes were really crisp and full of flavor, chicken was really well prepared and moist, eggs Benedict and hollandaise was great. Only thing was the bacon, not crisp which is my personal preference.We will definitely eat here again.

Popular Palm Desert French restaurant recommended by fellow restaurant people. For a place that takes care of all kinds of guests, it seems to pander primarily to conservative and elderly palates. Half full Saturday afternoon, messing up really basic and easy things that can only be attributed to laziness, carelessness, and conformity. Dry, hard eggs, cold waffles, caramelized bananas that are only caramelized in theory, flavorless, soupy oatmeal. If there were higher standards, if the kitchen habitually tasted its food, if expo cared, some of our food would not leave the window. The positives: Somewhat attentive service, good latte, nice silverware and linen napkins.

They have a large, charming patio area with lots of flowers, heaters and umbrellas. We didnt even have to ask and they moved the umbrella so the sun wouldnt bother us. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious.

We traveled in from St.Louis to Palm Springs on honeymoon. We got go lucky, asked a local, the suggested Si Bon! We had THE BEST VALENTINES DAY brunch ever!!! The staff was incredible, the patio was amazing, the food!!! ..hands down the best! We ate here a couple times in the 6 days we stayed in the area. Local regular’s update: docking 3 stars. Awful service, lackluster plating for dinner.Came here for dinner for my birthday and made a reservation in advance.Ordered lobster Mac and cheese. What arrived was a basic dish that I could order at any brew pub. Chunks of lobster in a literal sea of pasta and sauce. This pasta portion was insane and the dish was unnecessarily large without any side dishes to break up the onslaught of heavy, rich foods.But aside from the plating and meal, the service was some of the worst in the valley. We ordered a full meal with drinks, appetizers, entrees and a dessert. Our server was rude and a far departure from the outstanding crew that runs the weekend breakfast. Food was dropped off unceremoniously.Folks, if you want a great breakfast - highly recommend.For dinner, it’s just another loud, overpriced, uncomfortable bistro.I wouldn’t recommend for special events.Old review:A top spot in the valley. Sunday Brunch! They had a separate lunch and brunch menu. Their mimosas were delicious! We had their Crab Egg Benedict and the Chicken Patty Melt. Both served on waffles instead of the normal bread choice. The waffles on each of our plates were different. The Patty Melt had the fluffy yet crisp on the outside waffle, while the Benedict had a crunchy, all the way through, thinner waffle. The waffles added a fun touch to these plates and complimented the protiens very well. We look forward to coming back again!

My first time at this restaurant. We had a girls lunch out. Our service was excellent, the patio was very nice and somewhat enclosed to block from the parking lot. Our waiter came around regularly to pour our champagne and check on us. Prices were about the same as everywhere these days, but more worth it when you get great service and food. The quiche Lorraine was excellent, but expected a little more for the price. Bigger salad or other options on the side dish. The Greek salad was good sized, but not as flavorful as you would expect, but I understand the beef served in the salad was excellent!

We had a fantastic day at Si Bon! We started with the bread, a lovely beet salad, and some beverages. My first drink order was a vodka, soda with lime juice, to which the server inquired whether Ive tasted a gimlet. I havent heard of it before so I got it and was not disappointed. Delicious breakfast. The menu is pretty small but the options all sounded really good. I got the Mexican crepe which was fantastic, and even though the potatoes looked not crispy enough they taste incredible. My friend got the mango waffles and the custard over took the mango but it was some damn good custard. The berry champagne were supposed to have muddled berries and they just put a few berries in the glass instead, so its not really worth an extra $1. Over all great experience and coming back again.

Been coming here for several years now and its honestly my favorite place. The food is always delicious and fresh. Sylvie and Arturo have made it a pleasant experience everytime we visit here. Theyve done a great job making the outdoor dining area very comfortable during the high heat by adding more fans and AC units. And theyve been handling the pandemic fantastically. Theyre very thorough with sanitizing tables and wearing masks and checking temps of incoming customers. I highly recommend the Quiche Lorraine w/beurre blanc! Delicious!

I went to this place with a family party,12 people . It was in a palm springs strip mall next to a store called swiss donuts. The restaurant was very well decorated with paintings of rene magritte. Nice wine selection and the menu extensive you could eat something spectacular every night for a month. I had waffle escargot awesome! And a ceaser salad with white anchovies that had a strong flavor, in a good way. The salad was dry for my liking, more dressing I thought would have been to much flavor. The reason why this place gets one star is because the service culture was just plain bad. They rather lose us as a client and not serve the breakfast special a few minutes past 11. And still charged us $7 for two coffees. We went to Wilma & Frida instead. Letting your customers go for a few minutes late is just bad service in my book. I really do not understand why there are any good reviews for this imitation of a restaurant. 3 of us ordered 3 different dishes and one was worse than the other. We could not finish the food as hungry as we were. That carton with infused mango in it was the worst. I know coffee. I was toasting coffee with my grandfather, in his store, since I was 8 years old. Their coffee was water with a hint of coffee. My experience with this place tells my that he owners couldnt care less as long as they keep coming. Why they keep coming is because there are no good choices in the middle of the desert but that doesnt justify the good reviews.

I had a glass of their Sancerre white wine which was complex and really complimented my lobster ravioli and even was wonderful with dessert! My husband had the sangria and then a glass of Chardonnay, both of which he enjoyed very much. My husband really loved his wild mushroom ravioli and it’s so evident that both raviolis are made in-house, just divinely delicious. Our server Dianna couldn’t have been better, she was attentive and sincere and made great recommendations, thank you for recommending the featured dessert, it was a perfect ending to our wonderful meal. Review of Breakfast OnlyNothing really impressive. Family got several dishes: American Breakfast, Salmon Omlette, Fruit Crepe, Meat Crepe. All were decent but nothing outstanding. Thel $14 American breakfast is equalivalent to a Dennys/Ihop version you can get for half price. Portions here are on the smaller size as well as you get 2 large pancakes w the chains but Si Bon gives u dollar pancakes which are quite smaller. (To boot, Si Bon charges $3 extra per plate for blueberry pancakes, which i find extreme considering they are dollar size) The salmon omlette was ok - nothing special, salmon and eggs. The crepes were probably the best items from what we ordered. Good flavor and the custard and fruit is a good combo. Maybe the best value at $10. Overall, I rate the meal a 2 star due to overall value ($80 for 2 adults 2 children) and compared to other options that are available in area. Lunch and Dinner might be better options.

Our Valentines meal at Si Bon was terrible. The twin filets were tough and overdone. The vegetables were o.k., the mashed potatoes were good but a very small portion. The waiter was very nice but will never eat there again.

Ive been here a few times. The food is always good. I ordered lunch even though it was before lunch time and they made it for me anyway. That was awesome. I got the lobster mac n cheese and the Greek salad. It was very good and nice portions

Si Bon has a most attractive menu, the food is fantastic & the service is excellent. This lovely little restaurant was a real find for me. Couldnt believe its next door to Albertsons on Monterey Avenue! Such fabulous sand dabs! I saw a huge fried chicken sandwich in a waffle delivered to a table too. So many oohs & ahhhs came from tables near me the whole time I was there savoring my delicious lunch & chardonnay & dessert!!Almost hate to share this fabulous find for fear it will become so popular that reservations will be very difficult to make.But DO make a reservation, even for lunch. Super popular little piece of heaven dining spot. Very charming ambiance too.Cant wait to dine at Si Bon again!!!

Our server Ramiro went above and beyond, Hes a rock star. Were very pleased with the service. Food was like as always on point . But definitely Ramiro was the kinda server you have to keep in your restaurant. Our son lost 2 of hes toys behind of the booth, Ramiro made everything possible to retrieve the toys. Thank you 👍

Nice atmosphere, great service, yummy food. Best Belgium waffles my husband has ever had! I love that they had gluten free and vegan options too. We ate there twice while we were in town and was very satisfied. I highly recommend Si Bon!

The food is always delicious! Daily specials are unique and usually worth trying, as it may not be offered again for some time. The lunch sampler platter specials are always a hit with our friends. We brought 3 friends, as they had not been here, and they just loved it. The hosts brought us a dessert waffle as a special treat. It is those personal touches that make Si Bon special.

I have been here a couple of times, once with a small group and once with a large party of family and friends after my daughters baptism. Both times, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and warm. Dining area is very attractive under a tented roof outside but looks permanent and no ugly views of parking lots like so many other places, this dining space is very normal looking! Food was delicious, we each had a different dish: short ribs, skirt steak, meatloaf, sandabs. Everyone said their meal was delicious, and the part I liked best was that it was served piping hot on heated plates! Why cant other restaurants do that!?! Service was friendly and very attentive to the water glasses! Price range was excellent from upper teens to $45+. Wide selection. We will go back!

Four of us had dinner here yesterday evening and it was a wonderful experience. The earliest reservation we could get was 8pm and during our meal the restaurant slowed down (senior living!). The Menu gave us some wonderful choices ... I went with mussels, and bass stuffed with lobster. We shared a great dessert. We all enjoyed our choices which were delivered promptly by an excellent, articulate waitress, Sophia. The other personnel were equally friendly and efficient. The cap to all this is that the prices were most reasonable. We also got to meet the owner who was a gracious host. This place is highly recommended. We could not think of a restaurant close to home (Manhattan Beach) where we would have had a comparable experience and value.

Exceptional breakfast spot with a Fench flair...my savory crepe with guyere cheese was outstanding and the mango stuffed liege waffles were decadent. Great outdoor dining option and service was friendly and speedy. In these times of pandemic mediocrity, Si Bon stands out as an establishment that doesnt compromise on quality or experience. Bravo!
