Be careful when you shop here. I bought 2 packs of LoMein and Chow Mein fresh noodles and a box of rambutans.The noodles didnt have expiration dates on them. I thought they should be ok but within 2 days when I wanted to use them, they were moldy. I opened one and smelled mold and quickly checked the other pack and found the same thing.The box of rambutans was $30. The top layer was filled with red fresh rambutans. Upon opening the saran wrap, I found the bottom layers were black, moldy and rotten. I only ate about 7 good ones on the top. What a scam!Upon calling the store and asking for a refund they said that fresh food doesnt come with guarantees. So they can continue to sell rotting food to unsuspecting customers and its perfectly fine!!! What BS!!

Looking for a dozen eggs in the Dairy section. Went end to end to search. Finally stopped at checker to inquire where eggs are. She looked at me, confused with no reply. Two people there in line said farther away in the separate room with Fresh Vegetables. Sure enough. Even when you enter the area, the eggs are in the left corner already behind you. A new definition category for eggs....In the Fresh Vegetable section.

Upon entering you get hit with the foul smell of something rotting. The both times Ive bought shrimp, I get ignored at the butcher counter. They will help and attend Asian customers 1st before attending me. I may not be pleasant to look at but something civilly doesnt feel right. There may be some laws violated here. I dont recommend you shopping here.

Vegetarian heaven. They have plant-based meats such as Chicken, shrimp, beef, ham etc. Also vegetarian instant noodles, buns and, sauces. Normally we go to Ranch 99 for these but now we dont have to. Parking seem to be better too.

Huge Asian grocery store. Yes, its smelly. But Ive never seen a place with live/fresh seafood that its not. I particularly think its part of the deal. They have a big produce section and the prices are good. Will be back. :)

This market is nice and big. It’s bright and clean and mostly empty on a Wednesday when I went. They have a whole isle of foods that would interest my Latinx peeps. It says Mexican but we all know Goya is a European 👀 company. But anyway, the whole sauce isle is intense. I want to buy every sauce. 🤤 anyway you have to come down and give this store a chance!

This place must make a lot of money because they obviously see no need to be decent to their customers. My mom often goes there to get products she uses for cooking her Thai food. I went with her today and she asked for help from two people in the fish section. No other customers were there and they refused to help her. One man even just walked away without acknowledging us. The taller one kept pointing at the scales to her. She wanted to buy several catfish but they were heavy and slippery to pick up and would have been grateful for assistance. Since the two guys did not want to help her she ended up only getting two, less than she wanted. They also like to keep boxes all over on both sides of there aisles on the ground, so it is hard to get to the items you want to buy, and can be a fire and tripping hazard. My mom spent $300 dollars there today. Every time she goes there once a few months she spends about that much every trip. I told her she should not go there anymore if the people there are going to treat her so badly. They obviously do not need her business. I would recommend not just to my mother but anyone else who thinks about shopping there maybe go to 99 Ranch or seafood city instead.

My experience at this Supermarket was very bad these people are very prejudiced even their customers I walked in there and needed assistance and was ignored as they tried to pretend like they dont speak English and you can hear them speaking English so I went ahead and went into the customer service line stood in line and waited and two guys came behind me and the woman attempted to help them first before me I had to demand her to help me first I was asking for a certain thing in the store and they were all acting like they could not understand me or did not know where it was very unfriendly very prejudice and grocery stores like this dont need to be in the neighborhoods I will be posting a video of my experience on tiktok

Great store. Only issue is that they should have more associates that can speak fluent English. I mean you are dealing with the public. Whenever you ask a question that the associates dont understand, they just walk off in the middle of talking to you.

I think this place because you have a big parking lot for mainly this grocery store. There are a few restaurants and to go places on the side but they share the parking lot with Target. So it is easier to find parking here compared to other Vietnamese grocery stores.The vegetables here are always fresh and pretty cheap! Their seafood oscillates in prices and freshness. I think it depends on the demand and the type of fishes theyre importing during the time you go...

The fish market smells bad but you cannot tell which fish has become bad. The digital scale is not zeroed and after telling the staff, he either doesn’t know how to do it correctly or just doesn’t want to do it. The weight is always not zero when nothing is placed on the scale.

This grocery store is never busy when I shop here. Some aisles are a little narrow in their most trafficked areas which is a little annoying. They can try to improve the layout. Because sometimes people are blocking the entire aisle with their carts. They have duck wings here and fresh seafood! The prices are good and not too expensive. Not my favorite place to get southeast asian ingredients but it is closer to home.

I love the fresh fish and seafood. They have a large selection and they also will clean it for you as well. The shrimp & fish are reasonably priced. Large selection Japanese, Chinese, + Thai noodles. Theres about 3 or 4 aisles plus in the refrigeration area. The downside of the store is their produce is extremely high I saw it go up at least double two weeks ago. And why I gave them three stars is because some of their prices are extremely high and since Im American the workers dont talk to me and will take other people before me at the cash register. Their customer service is very poor.

About the only place I can get Thai chili peppers & and anything in your most favorite Asian recipes. Came in for fish oil, besides oyster sauce. Was super overwhelmed by the multiple options. Walked out with everything I needed for an 8 person main course for under $30. You should also check out their seafood section while there.

Great prices on produce, and meats. Dont buy any regular American items, as they are overpriced. But anything Asian is at a cheaper price than our American food stores. You can even buy a whole fish, and they will deep fry it for you. Ive been shopping here for over 25 years. Under a different name. But the prices are still great.

Ive stopped going to most stores since the pandemic, but this store is one I feel safe at and will always visit! Best fruits, mushrooms, vegetables, always excellent quality. And the staff are beyond helpful, excellent customer service! I wouldnt have made it through this pandemic without the oyster mushrooms, bags of vegetable gyoza, and the occasional rambutan.

Todays experience was beyond terrible. I was next in line at the poultry department when a butcher proceeded to help me only to be interrupted by a woman speaking in vietnamese. The butcher then bypassed me and began helping the woman and completely ignored me. This is unacceptable! At this point I wend ahead asked for a manager as I would like to discuss my experience but the female employee said no speak english but yet she could clearly understand what I was saying. I asked another employee for a manager but she said she not here. So whos running the store? Why is there no manager available?

Worst customer service ever! I called to see if they carried a particular item before driving 14 miles down to buy it. The lady who picked up the phone was extremely rude! I went to Sieu Thi Thaun Ph...,to buy a bag of frozen shrimp; they have various different types/sizes of shrimp, including imported shrimp and farmed shrimp.They sell various sized bags of white rice as, well as different sized boxes of both brown and white rice.They are basically an Asian store and they specialize in the sales of all types of Vietnamese food products.They have on site butchers that prepare different types of meats for consumers and also sell different types of packaged meats.I have found their meats to be very fresh.They also sell many types of American food.They have a large area - south side of their large market - where they sell lettuce, kale, onions and many other types of fresh vegetables, including some Asian varieties of vegetables and melons - when in season too.They sell fresh and packaged breads and other bakery goods.I recommend that if you know exactly what you want thats related to Vietnamese and other Asian foods that you come in to their store and check it out for yourselves.They also sell South Seas fish of various types, mussels, various types of fresh and frozen shellfish, etc.,etc.,etc.This large Asian market is centrally located in the large Linda Vista business area.

I gave one star. I know this Sieu Thi Thuan Phat Supermarket is not friendly.My mother and I went to this market to purchase all of our items on Thursday, July 2, 2020. I had the receipt with me while walking outside. My mother didnt want one houseware because of the large size. The next day, we went to the same market again to return one of our items to a manager. Sadly, there was no customer service in the market. My mother showed the item to the manager who spoke and gestured, no. The manager was impolite. The receipt says, REFUND/EXCHANGE WITHIN 24HR WITH RECEIPT. The receipt was proof that was true. Even so, the manager said again, no. The market doesnt accept returns everything for refund/exchange. The market doesnt honor...I read every customers feedback on yelp. Some of them seem to be unhappy when they tried to return the items to Sieu Thi Thuan Phat Supermarket. However, the market refused.I suggest you go to Zion Market, 99 Ranch Market, H Mart, and Japanese Market in your location.I have three pictures. Attached are the pictures.If you dont believe what I said, thats okay. You will be surprised and shocked when you go to Sieu Thi Thuan Phat Supermarket. Good luck.Thank you!

They have some good Asian things but anything thats not Asian food is way over priced and old. Also dont ever but anything from there freezer section everything is bad Im not sure if they turn there freezers of at night or just have allot of electrical problems but you can tell all the ice cream had been thawed and refrozen and everything else in the freezers is rotten its disgusting. If you eat anything from there freezer section you are going to get very sick and it will taste horrible.

I am a long time customer since it was VIEN DONG, I was there today, Aug.15, 2021. Of all the Asian markets in the area, this probably is the most competively priced store. Their merchandise is consistently lower in price than the rest of them. This place has been here for at least 20 plus years so it is not spanking new like H Mart or Zion Supermarket. They provide free meat butchering and fish cleaning and frying services. We try to avoid going there on Thursdays because the parking can be crowded with the weekly farmers market.

This Supermarket is in Linda Vista area of San Diego that caters to the Vietnamese community. They have lots of fresh vegetables and seafood. We shop at this location every time we visit our family. This has many things and your are more likely to find your cooking needs here. They have all kinds of food and fruits that originated from Asia. They have a meat and fish station in the back and veggies/ fruits station on the side. Big supermarket filled with many items. They also decorate according to the season. I recommend coming here on Chinese new year for the big fair!

I will never shop here again. I shopped here three times and had a decent experience the last two. This time, I came from another shopping center and stopped by to see if they had any good deals on fruit.There wasnt any good fruits, so I walked around to see if I could find any other good deals. I noticed a guy in every aisle I was in and thought he was a customer, but when I looked straight at him, he acted like he was stocking shelves. I was being followed.I didnt find anything so I went to leave when a women rushed after me. I thought I dropped something so I looked around on the ground, but she demanded she see in my bag. I told her no at first and was very confused. She demanded repeatidly so I showed her. Only item I had was something I purchased at another store, which they didnt sell, but she inspected it closely. Then she told me next time to leave my bag at the front. This is my shopping bag. Everyone else had their bags and I didnt see anyone leave theirs up front.I look very different from the other people shopping there, but this was no excuse to treat me this way. I will never shop here again and hope they learn to treat ALL of their customers respectfully.

While this market is on my way home from working out, I would rather drive a little farther to get good quality food. While it is your typical Asian market, and if you are looking for a unique ingredient, there are much better Asian markets in San Diego. If you just need one or two items it is worth stopping in. Their produce always looks fresh and I have never had a problem with anything that I have bought there, however, I typically use it the same day. While it is convenient I prefer to drive the distance to other Asian markets.

Its a huge market, seems like they expanded to another space next door because it looks like two separate stores. The isles are spacious and clean but Im not too sure about the logic of organization. Had to call the manager because cashier would not ring up my items. Had 14 items and went on the empty 10 items or less since the line was completely empty. I was not holding up anybody and the cashier just wanted to be lazy and not ring up any customer that did not meet the criteria. Extremely disappointed with the way they choose to do business here. Prefer to sit around and have a bad attitude rather than give customers an enjoyable experience.

Love the variety of merch. I can find my mochi, ginseng tincture and frozen stuffed buns all the time. It is stocked very well. Has a small household stuff section. Smell?...yeah...probably every asian store who sells fresh fish has it... What to avoid- do not buy exotic fruits. Like i tried yellow watermelon and some other things- simply aweful. This Asian supermarket is pretty huge. They have a lot of hard to find spices and condiments for your Asian cooking needs. Also theres a fresh vegetables/fruits section as well as a Meat/Seafood section along with the typical grocery items. I particularly like their selection of tea. Bought some fish after work hoping for a clean meal tonight. As soon as I drove away I could smell a stench in my car. I didnt want to believe it but had to when I got home and started unloaded my bags. There was a smell of death. I cleaned the fish in water and seasoned it but the smell wouldnt go away. Beware of their frozen foods, some of them are not labelled with expiration date yet they look like frozen pale old, much older than frosty the snowman. Do you notice if there is crystalized ice on or inside package? I believe that means food has been thawed and refreezed. Good thing that they have them. We are not talking about Elsa’s crystal palace, are we? And before entering the seafood section in the back, I am pretty sure that you will be greeted with unique stink. So unique that you will have natural deodorant.Nevertheless, I admit that their fresh seafood (such as crabs) are cheap in prices, produces are cheap as hell and if you have lucky day, you will get bonus super duper cheap service from cashier. Weighing scale cheatingWe purchased some shrimps from this grocery store (a little less than one pound) and we didnt check the price from the sticker. When we went home, we were so surprised to see the high sticker cost for the amount we purchased (Its more than two and a half pounds!). So we went back to the store and asked for reweighting. They found that they weighted it wrong and overcharged us $10. However, they refused to reimburse us. They explained to us that government just calibrated the weighing machine, we should look for solution from government and they have no responsibility.

Worst place ever to get your meats butchered. Rude customer service and management didnt have a clue to what I was explaining to her. The meat department is just horrible and the meats they have are a dark color. I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy meats or seafood there. The products and the prices are ok, but the customer service is the worst I have ever come across in many years. They were dishonest, rude, insulting, and dont know their products.Last night I tried to return a whole frozen durian that was not ripe. I buy these several times a year so I know the fruit well and occasionally some are not good. After showing them it wasnt ripe, the woman helping me insisted it was good and didnt want to return it. When I persisted that it wasnt ripe she said she knew better because she was Asian and I was not Asian. She said the insides were hard – because it was frozen, but it was clearly not frozen anymore after two days...Then a man (who happens to be Asian by the way) comes to help her, concedes that it isnt ripe and says if I take it home and let it ripen it will be ok. Well, once fruit is frozen it cannot ripen after being defrosted – it needs to be ripe before freezing.After they lost those arguments, they pointed out that their return policy was 24 hours. But they would give me an even exchange, and asked me to go shopping and bring my items to the return desk.The previous arguments could be attributed to their ignorance about durian, but what happened next is where they were truly dishonest. When I returned with a durian of lesser value/weight and some miscellaneous items to bring the value up to what I was exchanging it for – they short changed me by not allowing me to get the other items.Anyway, if you are looking for better customer service try 99 Ranch Market - thats where I will be going. They have a 7 day return/exchange policy and if the durian is not ripe or bad – they exchange it no questions asked.This is a fruit that is $20 each, and needs 24 hours to defrost, so its not worth getting stuck with a bad/unripe one. And shame on that woman for saying that since I wasnt Asian I didnt know better even after another Asian man there conceded that the durian was not ripe.

The fish and produce isle smells rotten. . You can sometimes smell it going in the store.The butchers behind the counter are will cheat you if you arent careful. I once tried to buy live crab the claws were missing on one. The others he didnt want to put rubber bands on saying they were out. I said ok well zion market or 99 ranch has them. He magically found bands. Theres a cashier who acts like a zombie and is rude. You are better off going to any of the surrounding markets like zion or 99 ranch. The only good thing I can say is the cost, the produce is probably 1 day away from rot. I myself have had enough. They are closest to me, but Im willing to drive further for better.

I can wander around this place for an hour just marveling at the wacky stuff they sell. Shrimp flavor candy?! You gotta be kidding me! I am a 2nd generation half asian and spent 5 years in hong kong and I found so many asian ingredients that I havent seen in years! This place might have an... odd smell that QFC doenst have, but Ive never found ANY good asian grocery that didnt have a little funk. I also found items (like coconut milk, straw mushrooms, etc) that are available in chain supermarkets, but were 1/3rd of the price here! If you want a frebrezed fish section go to albertsons. If you want to find asian ingredients that are hard to find, this is your place!
