I first heard about this place a few years ago from my Auntie, but came for the first time a few weeks ago while visiting my family. I’m in no means a fan of vegan food, but couldn’t tell a difference between the vegan beef and chicken compared to real beef and chicken. My mom got sweet noodles (if you’re a sweet tooth you’d love them) and my auntie and I got the drunken noodles w mild sauce (they definitely had a little kick to them, but were overall really yummy). We also got orange chicken which had great flavor! Will definitely come again next time I’m back in town. Our server was attentive and the mango tea was delicious and refreshing!

So sad. Been to this place a few times. Always get it to go. Today I ordered the Veggi Pad Thai. It was SO disappointing 😔I have not ordered this dish from here before but because everything I’ve tried in the past was good…..I trusted it would be “good”.It was really BAD😩 the noodles were packed in the container soo tightly that I could lift the entire gloppy mess with one chopstick. The only veggies were onions. The sauce was sooooo salty and the vegan chicken was, just bad. I ate all the onions and tossed the rest into the can. Still hungry! And my wallet is $14 lighter! :(Bummer Sipz. May think twice next time.

Yesterday I went with my whole family. We were seven people. Every single Dish was so amazing. Whole food came so fast without any delay. I been to so many restaurants and never saw service that fast. Prices were reasonable too. Best spot to go with your whole family!

Great place for vegetarians! The whole menu is vegetarian, so it was the first time in a while that I had a difficult time deciding on what to get! Food is excellent and meat substitutes tasted great to my non-vegetarian friends. The cookies at this place are absolutely delicious and really soft, so grab one when you order!

Really awesome vegan/vegetarian options with Thai food!! The face general tsaos chicken was delicious and the pad Thai was pretty good - really hard to get through and the flavor wasn’t super strong but still tastes good. We got the “beef” with the pad Thai which I wasn’t a big fan of. Kind of a spam consistency but vegetarian? We also got the spicy noodles which were pretty good but not all that spicy at all. Good portion sizes, decent prices and the food stayed warm all the way home! Will definitely be back to try more options.

A restaurant serving only vegetarian and vegan food specializing in Thai fusion food. There were a couple standouts such as the spring/summer rolls. The crispy gyoza was also delicious. The pad Thai also looked very tasty but for me the chicken that they use is not very appetizing and I would have appreciated if they just used high quality organic tofu instead. Portion sizes are extremely large and staff is very friendly. The decor is ok but tons of space so thats the saving grace for this place. Prices are also quite reasonable.

If you are looking for some good Vegan Food. Sipz is the place for you. I ordered takeout. It was quick and easy. The prices were reasonable. The portions were perfect for me, But I am tiny. If you are a man, you might need a extra spring roll or something. 😛 The staff were friendly. The menu had a wide variety of options. The food came out in a timely manner. My overall experience was good. I recommend checking this place out.

Literally the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant in San Diego hands down. All dishes Ive had here have been large, filling, and reasonably priced. Pretty much anything on the menu is a good pick, but my favorites are the chargrilled veggie salad, summer rolls, and Vietnamese iced coffee.Likewise, all of the staff at this location are helpful and kind. Ive never had any issues regarding service and Ive been coming here for about a decade.The atmosphere is laid back and far more casual than the other locations, but I tend to prefer it. It has far more of a cozy feel. Ever since the pandemic started, it seems like the majority of their orders are for pick-up, these days I tend to mix it up and Im never disappointed. I have noticed less patrons in general, so I hope more people give this place a shot.

A vegetarian staple joint that has been around in San Diego for years. They no longer have a wait staff after everything changed for the world which reduced a bit of the charm of the restaurant a bit. The food is still wonderful and their vegan sushi is still amazing.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the best vegan Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in California!! The texture of with their “chicken” is amazing. And even though the bites are very filling, they give you a generous portion. I always end up taking some home with me, and I can put away some food lol.They also have a very impressive array of desserts, so make sure to save room for that too. Definitely will be coming back whenever I’m in San Diego!!

Waitresses seemed over whelmed with a bunch of tables but they were nice and good with the water refills. The fake chicken was ok in the curry, Ive had better. But the vegetarian sushi was on point. Serving burnt food to me during Christmas is a pass in future. What were they trying to accomplish with these seeming refried left overs? So disappointed and so expensive to be sub standard. I feel taken as they also served me rice noodle wraps with old stale and hardened rice inside with no flavor. I eat vegan and Asian almost daily and have never had worse food. Sad. They are not fully customer service friendly but they are quick with responses. No one has checked to see if I am okay and staff is not washing their hands between bussing tables and serving freshly made dishes. Pass!

SipZ is literally life. Ive been coming here for over 10 years. They have many amazing dishes, including Japanese Fire Noodles, Tom Yum soup, Papaya Salad, Salt & Pepper, Veggie Surprise, Summer Rolls, and Garlic Jalapeno Tater Tots. I also really enjoy the Mounds bar boba slushie and the coconut cupcakes. The service is usually great here, though I suggest avoiding the lunch rush if possible. It is a very popular place and it gets a little too crazy during the 11:30am - 12:30pm timeframe. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone, whether vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore. There is something for everyone and even their mock meat appeals to meat eaters like myself.

I love everything here except the mock duck is just ok. I like the Tom Kah, fire noodles, salt and pepper shrimp, veggie surprise, drunken noodles, and even the orange chicken which is a dish I usually can’t stand. Sipz is definitely not my first choice but if Im in the area its okay (maybe dine here 1-2x a year). With so many amazing vegan restaurants in SD you think they would invest and upgrade their decor/appearance. This place needs a major renovation, they havent changed a single thing in 10+ years and kinda gross to notice dirty floors (old crumbs and food).The service and quality of food is much better at Plumeria and Loving Hut (Mira Mesa).The Tom Yum and Kung Pao were both ok, not amazing and not terrible.

I have been eating here for years and I have nothing but good things to say. The salt a pepper dish with fried tofu is my favorite but there are so many great dishes, including the vegan pho with either mock beef or tofu. Their buffalo chicken is great for a spicy twist and their general t dish is a great way to mix it up with mock chicken, tofu, and veggies. What a blessing this place is and I highly recommend it. 😊

Coming from the Midwest, the dry and thirsty land of all things vegan food, this place was incredible! I had the vegan shrimp with the Drunken Noodles entre and they knocked it out the park! General T’so chicken was fantastic too. I can’t say enough about the quality, freshness, and flavor. Mr. Win, the owner, took our order and was courteous and very pleasant to deal with. If I could make vegan food taste this good at home I would probably become one. :)Came with a vegan friend and we tried the vegan appetizer sampler and 3 different vegan sushi rolls. All were amazing and the sushi was thick, generous portions. I had no idea that the caterpillar roll and the dynamite roll had non-meat substitutes in them. There was also a sea-themed roll that was great. We also tried a few desserts, and while they do taste more vegan to me than traditional egg-and-milk recipes, the peanut butter brownie and the cookies were particularly great. Will come back here again!

I like supporting local businesses and this place is owned by a very sweet family. The food is good. As a vegetarian, it is great to have a place to take my meat-eating friends and they still like everything on the menu. I do not call the food here great, however. Sipz is quite frankly the best thai food around and its vegan. I actually find their vegan meats more satisfying than the real thing. The staff here is always friendly and food comes fast. But the flavors and the portions sizes are on point. They do everything super well and spicy. My only criticism is I wish they had a tap list for beer. The people at Sipz desperately need to open a high end version of this in north county with a good SD craft tap list. Id never eat any where else. Well at least 4 days a week. Maybe 5.

I am a regular at sipz. Its nice to go somewhere and eat anything on the menu because everything is vegan. However, since I changed my diet to be grain free, there is a bit less to eat, although I do eat rice noodles on occasion. Also, they use soybean oil for cooking. I wish they would use a healthier oil. But the dishes are always delicious and they give you a large helping, even while they are only doing takeout right now. Special lunch prices help too! 😁

I’ve been frequenting this place for years now and will probably continue to do so. I’m a really big fan of the caterpillar roll they make, and I’ve never had anything that I didn’t enjoy. Staff is friendly, food is awesome. This location is the one I go to more often, but I’ve been to the one in North Park too, and it is of the same quality and caliber. Try it, it’s great. My first visit here was on my birthday. I ordered the Veggie Pad Thai. Super tasty! It is consistently good every time I go. I have only tried one other item so far, the Steam Bowl (veggies, mushrooms and brown rice) and it was also really good. Every day has a special (Tuesdays my favorite as it is happy hour from 2pm-closing). Theres also happy hour Monday-Thursday (2pm-5pm). I used to come here on a regular basis (before quarantine), it is by far my favorite vegan restaurant. My non-vegetarian friend love this place as well. Service is superb, and the food tastes amazing (my favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken and garlic jalapeño fries as appetizer). I have recently come here to test out the take out system. Its amazing to me that a 100% vegetarian restaurant this big exists. Many items on the menu are vegan, gluten-free, or both. Prices and portions are satisfactory, and food that we ordered was tasty.I didnt try any mock meat so I cant comment on that. Lots of typical dishes from a variety of Asian localities (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai).I got the soft chowmein (apparently a customer favorite) with tofu, and was happy. Sipz has been around for a long time! Reason: theyre so good!! The food is vegetarian. So if the menu says chicken its actually not chicken but instead their vegetarian substitute. I believe the substitute meat has gluten so if youre gluten intolerant just check with them. Being lactose intolerant I havent had cheese cake in so long but the dairy free cheese cake that they make is to die for. I order it every time I go there!

It comes with people that came later than us as we were first ones there. It was delicious, we get gluten free and I ask for chili sauce or a nut sauce which costs another $!. We got lychee slushy, a ookie, Thai Boba Tea, it is adding up but so good. So what is the issue?I got the check and see I was charged $8.25 not $5 for my bowl. I was told by the waitress who didnt take our order ther owner did, that mine was special and i had to get tofu. Seriously? I have been before and not charger that since I pay $3.00 extra already for the shrimp so it has its own cost and serioulsy, its vegan not a lot of work to cook it. If the logic is correct my daughters friend who asked for no tofu should have been charged extra as well. What I asked for let them keep the tofu, (profit) and charge me for vegna shrimp (profit) but instead of $8.00 I paid $11.25! At the register after I had already left the cash for the check, I double checked there was no mistake with the owner. He pulled up my check and as my teenger who is autistic is grabbing another $3 cookie I have to buy he says he can take fix the difference but I said I had already paid, and I need to get my kid out of there before she buys $50 in cookies and slushies.They have been in business a long itme for a reason, the food is great and owner is uber nice but service is an afterthought. Just be sure to repeat what you are ordering and if it is a special check it is the orice you think it is. Next time I will order a side of vegan shrimp and share a bowl with no tofu with my daughter. I have enough hassels in life and the point of eating out is to NOT have them and have a break. I cant help that I cannot eat soy or gluten and appreciate the effort.p.s. As a former waitress years ago, I am not even going into how long I have waited for someone to even take our oder as other posts have said. We have waited a long time, gotten water and 3 different people helping over hours with little or no refills on water or coffee or tea and it doesnt matter when you go. I usually go right at opening.

Good food, fast service, good price point. Nice place for sharing with friends and for vegetarians. Most of the dishes are soy based, so if you have a allergy keep that in mind. Both of their locations are clean and nice to visit.

I am not a vegetarian, but I was looking for something healthy to eat. I was already at the plaza where this restaurant is doing some errands and decided to give it a try. Not only the food is delicious, but the staff are attentive and polite. They have great choices of food and the environment is nice and clean, I will for sure come back.

Im not a vegetarian, but my wife is and I enjoy going to vegetarian restaurants with her. The food is good, the staff very nice, but I dont understand the fake meat. I was burping fake meat taste the rest of the night. Why would a true vegetarian want anything that resembles meat. Next time we go Ill ask for a substitute.

Came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and waited so long we almost walked out. There was no one else waiting besides my wife and me, people would come in time to time to grab food they ordered to go. It looked like they had two huge parties and were very understaffed to handle the events. After 25 mins of waiting we finally were seated and rushed two glasses of water. The waiter didnt return to take our order for another 10 mins! If we werent staying at a hotel within walking distance I would have left, but I didnt really have a choice. We ordered Pho because we felt it would be quick to make, it did come out quickly and it was almost flavorless.I wont be returning to this location again.

The Asian lady at the front sat us down from the counter, but didnt hand us any menus. We had to wait about 10mins for one of the waiters to be free to ask for the menus. He apologized and was fairly nice about it. The food was pretty good though

Best vegetarian restaurant in La Jolla. Their chicken is flavorful and mimics meat very closely. Their orange chicken is some of the best I have ever had (vegetarian or not). The taro slushy and boba are incredible additions. Creamy drink even with almond milk and boba are perfect consistency. And the tofu cheesecake or chocolate chip cookies are the perfect finish!

This is a sad excuse for a vegan restaurant. Nothing is organic, they still use a lot of chemicals in everything like hfcs and such, their water isnt filtered and therefore their soups have all the crap from the tap water. It was a good try, but they are not very conscious and mindful about preparation or ingredients. I will never go back there
