The foods are delicious and unique where not much Vietnamese restaurants have on their menu. The service staffs are friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the takeout food from this place. The order was exactly correct, which was awesome as i did not check the order prior to leaving the restaurant.Perfect... i will stop by this establishment next time i am driving on by!

Very happy with my visit today. Last Pho place I went to in Pomona was bland and over priced. SJ was surprisingly great. The staff was really nice, the prices are average and the food is good. There isnt a lot of seating due to Covid but it was still nice.

If you are doing meatless Monday, the Lemongrass Tofu and Vegetarian fried rice is AMAZING. Seriously, just like my momma made it for me. Thank you!!!

The owner (the old guy) is so ignorant and rude. If you are not open don’t have your signs up saying you are open!! Even on the website you guys say you are open! No need to be so rude about it and kick me out and being so ignorant when I was trying to show him what I was there for. I was just trying to do my job and DoorDash, I walk in a 10 ish when the store is clearly open and right away the old guy is telling me get out that they open in 30 minutes when they have everything on their saying open?? Makes no sense do better. How are you guys gonna accept a DoorDash order and not do it, I had to wait there for a good 30 minutes that is insane. Would not come here again.

I have no idea how this place received 4.5 stars. We ordered chicken fried rice, 1 egg rolls, 2 pho, and 2 bone marrow soups. We could not even finish half of it. We left sick to our stomachs. We only ordered 1 order of egg rolls then brought out a 2nd half batch that we didn’t ask for and then charged us for 2 orders of egg rolls. The bone marrow was still frozen in the middle so we think they pulled it out of the freezer and reheated it. The fried rice was very dry. Unless you want to be up all night throwing up I would not recommend. Before we left we got a couple bobas and it was not the best decision. That was also disappointing, maybe bc she got our order completely wrong. We even told her we saw her make it wrong and she told us she didn’t. Sure enough it was wrong.

Saw a tiktok video made about this restaurant. Decided to try it since we were in town. We ordered some exact food they had on the tiktok video and they definitely did not taste or look the same. We had the fresh pork rolls, pho, and a beef dish. Our beef dish was filled with a bed of chopped lettuce with a few pieces of meat on top to make it look full. Our combination pho only had a few pieces of meat in it with 1/4 piece of meatball only! Pho portion was good. Our pork for the fresh rolls were so thinly sliced filled with chopped vegetables. You could barely taste the meat in it. We were very disappointed in our food. We couldnt even finish our food because everything tasted very plain so we left and grabbed food from a different restaurant. Food was also very pricey. I would not recommend this restaurant. 😐

Ok I dont mind gong to a resturant that has a b it can be minor stuff, Ive worked in resturants having a b can be from plumbing or something broken not a big deal worry when they have a c or f well f the resturant would be closed anyways the place is super clean food is awesome one of the waitress is omg amazing her name is Jenny, she has this spark always happy, and makes you feel special, always asking is everything ok, I love that shes very attentive. awesome personality. Food is always great great taste cant go wrong coming here 😋

Superb! I eat here all the time. When I first started coming to SJ they were called Saigon Village. I havent even tried the pho yet, which is one of their specialties, however, all of their course dishes are excellent! I would recommend the pork chops! Their prices are also going to be hard to beat.

I read mixed reviews of this place but still gave it a try. Came about 830 before closing. Place is very clean, service was excellent. The food came out fast. Spring rolls were very fresh. Ordered soft egg noodles with chicken and veggies for the kiddo. It was hot and freshly made. I had the Pho. Piping hot and very delicious. Ive tried tons of Pho and this place has a very good broth, not to heavy. Usually the thai basil and sprouts always generally look old but here it was fresh actually beautiful. Tripe was super clean as well. We got milk tea boba. Buy one get one free. I would return again.

I am a Vietnamese, just moved to Pomona so I am starving for real Vietnamese food. I found SJ as a saviour after having bad experience about food and service from Pho Ha ( even I order to go their staff who took order was rude) .I had to gave up all Pho,spicy beef noodle and Rice after trying to eat. It was almost 70 usd food went to trash bin since we could not try. It was not Vietnamese food, poor quality ingredients and lazy cooks which you can see obviously on the way how they make food for you.I was like hopeless to find good vietnamese restaurant nearby my place but luckily SJ helped me out. I was doubtful when I first came but I gave a try. I was surprised how good and authentic their food was1. Pho: Good Pho has clear broth which is from beef bone and Pho spice, not blackish and look like there was dirt inside. They made it. The tenderness and fresh of Meats requires to be tender, juicy not soft like melting and dry like wood, they also made it and last but not least Pho vegetables is also important to enhance Pho flavor, you need a fresh look vegetables and here SJ they made it. My family was so happy to eat and empty the Pho bowl.2. Spicy beef noodle: this one is not easy to cook sinve it requires to have flavor of spices for this special noodle, I ate this bowl and I was satisfied with its flavour. They cooked it right way and used good noodle brand not cheap one like I tried before, you can feel from noodles texture3. Broken rice: They used real broken rice not regular rice like the one I tried . The flavor and texture of broken rice and regular one are different. It would be cheating to mention Com Tam - Broken Rice but then you use regular long grain rice to sell to your customer.BBQ pork was tender and flavourful as well as steam egg was tender and fresh, very good fish sauce.4. Pad Thai: presentation look not attractive but when eating it was very delicious, the shrimp and chicken were tasty, fresh and juicy not as dry as wood like another place.5. Shaken beef rice: Beef was very tender even we tooked it home and warmed it up again with microwave.I barely go to do review but I think I should since they are deserved for hard work. Their food was good with good price too,not over price.

Ordered the pho soup on special according to the banner, under new management. asked for an extra pack of veggies, willing to pay. was charged 6.50 ish for an extra bag of lemons and bean sprouts. I was told 2.50 would do it but she charged me 2.50 extra plus 3.50 extra. went in to ask, she says sorry the 3.50 was a mistake she gives me 3. i said where are my quarters she says sorry again my mistake here they are. go home, 2.50 extra bag o veggies is really just bean sprouts, their regular bag which i paid for an extra...consists of bean sprouts lemons pacaked seasoning, and all the other goodies that come. If I paid 2.50 ...give me all the goodies that come. Rude rude rude girl. Under new management lost my business.

Not your typical Pho place, this restaurant has many variations of Vietnamese dishes. Last week I tried there curry lamb with French baguette and it is out of the world. Definitely come back.

Bun Rieu does not have shrimp paste.Dont call it Bun Rieu if it doesnt come with shrimp paste. None of normal Vietnamese people want to eat bun Rieu with hoisin sauce.Ps. I gave it 3 stars but the owner said to ignore it so I gave it back 5 stars. Next time, remember to add a piece of shrimp paste.
