I have enjoyed their Shrimp sandwich and their fries and their salad. Everything has been of the highest quality. Food comes out promptly which is handy if youre heading to a movie or a play at the Pantages.This has been a dependablego-to of ours for many years.I recommend it for both locals as well as visitors to Forum. Located in the beautiful Windsor hills, it is well located for parking and people watching.

One of my favorite takeout spots. The Shrimp Po-Boy is delicious. Sami sauce on the side is a must. Red Beans and rice is another one of my faves. The small is really enough for 2 people. Ive had this dish many times. It was a bit salty this time. Mint lemonade completes the order. Good service and plenty of parking at the Slauson location.

I stopped over for a quick dinner and got their vegan dirty rice. I appreciate the varity of their menu.The servers were courteous and helpful. When I asked for hot sauce, the asked if I was vegan because the hot sauce contains butter. Its thoughtfulness like that that will make me come back.I recommend calling your order in ahead because the wait takes about 15 minutes if you order in person. But the food was fresh and delicious.

Po’Boys are the best thing on the menu.The red beans & rice however are disgraceful. Tastes like the chili eaten on hotdogs. Not a lick of New Orleans seasoning: bay leaf, green onion, celery etc. Don’t order those, worst red beans I’ve ever had

Nice place to grab a bite to eat right up the street from us. They seem to be pretty popular cause people were coming in and out consistently.I ordered some vegan wings & fries... the wings can be a variety of flavors (I chose lemon pepper) they were good taste wise but were cooked a lil too long and were fried a lil too hard for me. Fries were on point though. My daughter got the surf & turf bowl and she said it was delicious.I will have to come back and try something else one of these days because I was told this doesnt normally happen there.Service wise, they were great, the wait was brief, food came out a quick and piping hot

The place is clean. The bathroom is clean. There is plenty of parking, great drink selection, lots of side options, and food is fresh and good. Only a negative is that they dont have ice, chairs are not very comfortable, and you have to sit next to each other, not across due to the seating. There is outdoor seating where you can see at a picnic table and sit across there. But inside you have to sit next to each other.

I had the catfish po-boy and it was delicious. I follow O&Y on Instagram and always thought the pictures of the food they post looked yummy, so while I was in Los Angeles I noticed the location on Slauson and Overhill Dr. and decided to visit. I was not disappointed at all. Very very good! Go check them out if you havent been there yet.

Might have been the dish I got but it was way too salty for me . I got the shrimp, salmon and sausage with bellpeppers sautee over white rice. Item was added to my order that I didnt place and didnt realize it until I was given a total of over $70. It wasnt until I checked the receipt to discover I was also charged for someone elses food also. I wasnt impressed with the food but the fruit punch and mango pineapple lemonade was so good that I went back the next day for solely that 😋

Got a shrimp and catfish poboy and Cajun fried. Pretty decent. Main caveat is just the two lacked a little in flavor. Both the seafood and fries were fried well, but could’ve used more seasoning. Baguette was alright, not the freshest, not sure why there wasn’t remoulade sauce smothered in. They do give you hot and honey mustard sauces plus ketchup. Po boy was a good size though.

Orleans & York location on Slauson Blvd is very rude. I decided to try something new & I ordered the Chicken gumbo soup. I ordered to go after a long day. When I got it home, it had oil swimming on top, I went to return the Chicken gumbo soup for being too oily. Since I bought it at night, I couldnt turn it that night because they were closed. The next day was a long day at work so I didnt return it till the day after the next. When I did the staff was argumentative & lacked knowledge of any written policies. They refused to give me a refund, citing a policy that was neither posted on their website or in the store. They took my phone number & told me to wait for the owner Jasmine to call. She never did, that was on a Friday. I decided to go back in on Monday, thinking Monday would be better to see if the owner or a knowledgeable manger would be present. When I returned, the lady, who called herself manager, informed me, You gave us the wrong phone number. I replied, No, you took down my number incorrectly. At which point she informed me that the owner would call me as soon as she could, shes in a meeting. So that means, I dont know what. I cant believe that Ive spent money at this establishment against me better judgement, as Im from New Orleans & the food there isnt that authentic. And Gumbo/Soup shouldnt be overwhelmed in oil residue. Ive Never had ANY restaurant refuse to refund if the customer is unsatisfied with the food. Not McDonalds, not Crustaceans, not Yard House, not Cheesecake factory, not Fat Burger & not even, In & Out Burger, So WHY does Orleans & York think theyre exempt? A business should try & reasonably accommodate the customer, not the other way around. It shouldnt take more than a week to get a refund on some food. Im NEVER going back there & I suggest if anyone who likes authenticity & good customer service, to Not Go To Orleans & York located at, 4454 W Slauson Ave, Windsor Hills, CA 90043.

Ive eaten at Orleans and York at this specific location for 5 years. I havent been in for a while and decided that I wanted to stop by for my late lunch.I am so disappointed with the SERVICE. And never the food - its ALWAYS GREAT!I purchased a banana pudding and as before they are always served fresh and sweet - however this time the bananas were black.I returned the initial banana pudding with the intent to purchase a fresh one although wed already paid for it.Instead of the manager being understanding and handing a fresh one without regard for paying, she tells me theyre bananas and we just made these today.I explained to her that Ive never had that problem and maybe they should utilize a sticker that indicates its shelf life for fresh quality.She just had no regard for my expression as a concerned customer. I totally respect this business. However the staff needs to be trained on how to properly execute customer service as this is not how it was before.I did not like her energy and she was very unsympathetic to my concern.

Orleans and York hit the ground running since they opened their first restaurant in Los Angeles. Since then they have quickly opened more great locations serving up some of the best Creole dish offerings and East Coast style sandwiches that will have you feeling like you are eating in New Orleans or New York...hence the name (duh)😁.I love their spin on traditional Creole cuisine like Gumbo Mumbo, the Big Mo and other delicious dishes. If you love Hero or Muffuletta sandwiches, O&Y completely knocks it out of the park. They always have a great variety of chips(including Voodoo), quality beverages, sides made in house, and a variety of fresh desserts delivered by local bakeries daily.TIPS:1. Very good sandwiches. When they first started they were priced lower and the sandwiches were bigger. But they kept increasing price very quickly over time. The sandwiches have also gotten smaller but with the same high prices. The family behind the counter has been replaced with new staff that is not as friendly or well meaning. Still, its a great place to get a solid sandwich.

My gumbo was describe in detailed on the menu it sounded so great to eat. But when I got my food it was 6 shrimp, huge pieces of chicken, and sausage cut up like strips, with an additional pile of grease at the top of my bowl accompanied by ground beef. Typically like the food but the chicken tenders are a hit or miss. More of a miss. Most recently ordered chicken tender platter. The chicken was fried fresh however the chicken tasted old as if it was no good and needed to be thrown out and not served to customers. I must have gotten a bad batch because the chicken was tough to chew and had a funny taste to it. Not to mention my stomach was queezy after eating these (so called) chicken tenders. Love some of the other menu items but I wont take a risk and order these again.

Absolutely amazing place and service that has overgrown there size! I lived in the area well before this place was ever around and have seen many places pop up in this small mall. This has been by far the greatest establishment to rival the Simply wholesome across the street when it comes to business.My experiences here have always been pleasant and i even started coming here so much some of the employees started remembering my usual order lol. Great family and great food. Everything Ive tried is amazing. The food is extremely flavorful and fattening with large proportions, so its best you also buy a gym membership if you plan on eating here more than once a week.

Not great, Sandwich was mostly whole olives. I opened my sandwich up and poured most of them out, but the beast of brine had already tarnished this breaded vessel. Get the muffaleta if you want to stock up on the next few years worth of olives, not chopped, juicy enough to sink the largest stale bread bowl, and so much flavor it will drown out any Italian cured meat.

I got the Surf and Turf bowl. It was surprisingly delicious! The outside of this place looks like a Po Boy lives here. The inside is way cleaner and updated. They were one of Burros Bites favorites.My husband got the Boston Classic. It was not as great. It had too much bread, not enough meat. It was overwhelmed with lettuce.They had a big menu with items you dont just find anywhere. Gumbo, fried catfish, shrimp Po Boys... I wish I could have tried everything.

I love this place and the food is delish. I was disappointed one time because my catfish was fried too hard in grease used too many times and my fries were stale! One time and one time only in the 2-3 years Ive been going there did they disappoint me. But I took the food back and my order was redone -fresh. The German chocolate cake and Red Velvet cakes are to die for. My banana pudding is better because I make my pudding from scratch - theirs tastes like pudding from a box. I like the redbeans and rice although again, I like mine better. I am from Louisiana and hold O&Y to a higher standard as I know first hand how the food should taste. The dishes Ive tried have been my favorites and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Cajun, Creole, & Southern dishes and NY subs!! Yummy, yum!! PoBoy heaven!!!

Someone once asked Johnny Depp to sum up America. He said all appetite, no taste.I feel the same way sometimes, just not today.Heres a little piece of Nawlins in the Historic Slauson Corridor. Well well well well. If Orleans and York Deli was listed on the stock market I would buy as many shares as I could. The market is going up. I opted for the Shrimp Po Boy and it was one of the best sandwiches ever. Not bad, being that this restaurant is in LA, home of the expensive flavorless valueless (speaking in general terms, there are other places around here that have flavor at a great price too). Here though, the price is not bad for what you get. Pretty sure theyre using some homemade mayonnaise which is adds exponentially to the flavor.Be sure to get a little of that delicious hot sauce from behind the counter, not the Louisiana stuff on the table. Im not usually one for spicy sauces but this one is not over the top and completely changes the flavor profile of the fried shrimp. Yes sir this right here is my new favorite nawlins!

(still the only place I will eat a Po-boy) Their name really does fit them, a lot of New Orleans and some of New Yorks favorite deli sandwiches.My first experience with their food was a little bit of heaven!I have had all of their Po-boys, the Shrimp platter, Oysters, Red Snapper, Catfish, Mumbo Gumbo and more. Most of their orders comes with tons of delicious fries.The shop is loaded with items you can purchase from the counter, chips, fresh baked desserts, pickles, peppers and more (there is something for everyone) :) They also have a cooler loaded with sodas and beverages and more desserts.Their seafood is the closest I have had to the fresh seafood in New Orleans (someone told me they have it shipped in) it is always so fresh.The seasoning they use is delicious and has a true Cajun taste.When I first started going the customer service was Spot-on, however they grew at a rapid pace and had to hire people outside of their family to main the counter and the phones (this was not a good experience all the time) however they are back on Point.I love that I can send people there and know they will receive the same taste and freshness that I always experience.They share a parking lot with other merchants and parking can be a little tight, however it is worth it for the experience.They are so State of the Art and I love reading the reviews that show on the flat screen as you wait (great touch). To ease the stress of the waiting time, they sometimes offer small bites to the customers in line (great touch, great customer service) Known as a Hot Spot in the area!They accept all major credit cards, Uber-eats and Grubhub are now available. (soooo happy for the phone in and delivery options)Their sign is Huge and visible from the street.I highly recommend them!

It was my 1st visit. Location is great (on Slauson), Id like to check out the other locations too. Food was delish! I had to give it 4 stars b/c the service was whatever. The young lady that helped us was blaaah. No smiles, no suggestions, no help. The owner (who I learned about by checking out things in the establishment- was extremely friendly, great personality). Ordered food from all three locations near the airport. Food from this location was the best. Perhaps because I ordered right before they closed, and everything was fresh and made to order. Ordering online cost more than it does when ordering in person. The shrimp platter in store is 11.99 and on Uber eats and grubhub its 18.49...and even after paying the higher price i get a call wanting more money for extra sauces. Which my total was already over 30$... for a shrimp platter and 3 pieces of catfish, which arent even filets, just little pieces of filets. The food was excellent. Just would prefer the already upcharged order to be upcharged.

Phone ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. Picked it up and got home only to discover that there was absolutely NO cheese on the sandwich. When called, they insisted that cheese was added and refused to give credit/refund. Cheese is the 2nd word in the name. It actually comes before the word steak. How do you screw that up?
