Was pretty empty when we got there on a Thursday evening. Really kind staff. Its not doughy and very crispy. I usually prefer doughy pizzas but their pizza was tasty! Id revisit when Im back in town.

One of the worst pieces of pizza I’ve EVER had! It was sopped in grease worse than Poppa John’s and there was no structural integrity. The dough was chewy and not in a good way and the cheese was stale. There are also only TWO pizza options … TWO! You either get cheese, which doesn’t have sauce mind you, it’s just melted cheese on bread and it’s not even warm, or you get whatever the pizza of the day is, which was ok. And there are two sauces that are both bad and do not go well with the pizza at all. Do not go here, any pizza is better than this.

Wow. Such a simple yet amazing concept.Pizza of the day and some salsa verde, was this a dream? 2 of my favorite things, together and killing it.Run, don’t walk here. Pictured is the pizza of the day with really fresh ingredients. This pie is gluten free and you can’t even tell. Wow!!

The pizza and salad if the day were both delicious, though I was surprised there was no sauce under the cheese. The green sauce on top of the cheese was great, I just wish I knew I could get more at the sauce bar before I had finished!The bathroom situation is a little underwhelming, but Im grateful for any customer bathroom on Telegraph. There was a trash can holding open the Mens door so I walked by some guy as he did his business 😅 But again, glad there ARE bathrooms.

They only have one type of pizza/ pizza of the day and it changes every day. You can also order half pizza. Its pretty decent. The green sauce was pretty good, too. There is plenty of seating inside.

Our friends - who are UC Berkeley alumnus - highly recommended us to try this place. So we - Asian couple - ordered the half pizza and shared the slices. It tastes fresh with lemon juice, green sauce(?) and a little bit spicy pink sauce, which my boyfriend said it’s similar to hainnei chicken rice in Singapore. We haven’t tried favor like this in Asia before but we all love it!

Hanging out in Berkeley while my daughter and her friend go see Rex Orange County at the Greek Theatre. Needed to go to the bathroom, so looked for a place to get a bite. Lucked into this place. A W E S O M E! Not a traditional pizza place, which is a nice surprise. Sun pizza of the day is a great pick. 👍

LOVE THEIR PIZZAS. I drive an hour once every few months to eat at Sliver/Cheeseboard. Their green sauce takes the pizza eating experience to the next level.They are one of the very few places who make a great vegan pizza. The pizza is great. Typical Berkeley one flavor only sour dough pizza. There is often only one amazingly dedicated employee working the entire restaurant and this is not okay. Nobody should have to work alone on Telegraph avenue. This is irresponsible management of this business and arguably cruel to the friendly, lonely worker serving up great pizzas and slices. The ownership should feel ashamed and should pay for more employees. I fear they are taking advantage of their employees for profit.

It is beyond bad: it is offensively bad. Gives a bad name to pizza. I mean, pizza is not a refined culinary delight, but Sliver sets the bar really low there. We ordered 3 different pizzas to feed five people: all 3 came oozing with oil, sticky grease, flavorless gooey cheese, and the dough did not even that taste like bread dough. What is this dough: mashed old crackers soaked in crisco? I dont enjoy throwing food and money, but we all felt finishing these pizzas would have cost us our health. In the garbage they went. $75.

This is what they call Berkeley style pizza.Its trash.Its primarily bread, which is not chewy or crispy...Couldnt tell if there was any sauce at all, and very little cheese. On the side they give you salsa and some green sauce. The green sauce is ok.Some of the worst pizza Ive had in a while. Tastes worse than Little Caesars, just using higher quality ingredients.

Solid pizza with unique ingredients that doesnt leave you with the sweats. You have to either do cheese or their daily special though. Really appreciated how hot the pie was when we got it. Sauces were nice complements to the slices, too. Theres a cozy interior with areas to just chill after downing a slice. Love it!

My favorite out of the two locations in Berkeley. There’s never a line and the pizza is prepared super quickly. Lots of tables inside if it wasn’t for covid. Pizza is fairly priced. Exotic but pleasantly surprisingly toppings. Green sauce is super yummy and the crust is a little chewy. Honestly one of my favorite places to go for pizza in the bay.

I think this might be my favorite pizza place in Berkeley. I come here pretty frequently, particularly when Im downtown and working late. They are a cheeseboard knockoff: one pizza per day, all vegetarian, and super fast service. The pizza is good, the green sauce is great, and they have TVs and beer. The only problem is that it gets super crowded, but its also a decent place for takeout.

Sliver is some of the best pizza Ive tasted and a bit better than Cheese board in Berkeley IMHO. Its cheap, fast, efficient, and has creative and delicious combinations.All the pizzas here are vegetarian and each slice comes with a sliver. The best Ive had was the corn pizza, and even ones without bigger vegetables still taste good. I usually dislike feta but the tomato one I had there was still amazing. I recommend this place to those who like citrus since they are big on limes and citrus flavors. Although its a bit oily, the pizza is flavorful, has nice texture, and reasonably priced.

Their sister restaurant Cheeseboard is better for pizza but here its better for drinks because of full bar. Then again I only came here once & probably last because of location, long wait for half a pizza to eat there. Bartender was nice, so was cashier for food (separate line). It was probably a fluke with shift changing or something because our pizza was very disappointing. Pizza was reheated, not fresh (see from pictures) & one of the slices had the tomatoes stem still on there (picture). For the hassle of finding parking & busy location, I wouldnt come here again specifically for the pizza. We did luck out & didnt order a whole pizza. Anyway, Id grab a drink, sit by the window on a nice day & people watch. That was a one star. Although for the drink I got, I didnt understand why it was rimmed with salt... eh, cheers! Great pizzas that make you feel healthy. They are unique in that they only have vegetarian options, but they are great none-the-less. They make one type of pizza a day, so the lines go by quickly because theyre constantly making them. Decent thin crust pizza in the tradition of Cheese Board, but I still like the original flavor better. Serviceable spot, close to the Berkeley campus. Although I didnt try it, it also seems to have a bar area . I came at an off-hour in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, but it was still fairly busy so Im imagining it tends to get packed at mealtimes. Multiple TV sets playing (all different sports games when I was there).

They give you a free sliver when you get a drink during happy hour. Yes, please! Great service, great drinks, and great pizza. Can get crowded, but definitely worth the wait. I love their margaritas (and their affordable prices!). If you are looking for a build your own pizza place, this isnt it (they have one daily pizza option). We showed up a party of 3 to a packed place on a Friday night with the line all the way to the door. We decieded to wait in the line because the vibe and atmosphere was good. They had a live band performing which made the time pass quicker. As long as the line was we made it pretty quick to the front and did not wait much after ordering or pizza. This pizza place you dont order what you want they make a certain type of pizza every day and thats what you get. I was thinking for them to do that the piece of better be good and in fact was. I dont remember everything on it but it had potato feta cheese and a pesto sauce on top but it was really good. Definitely a place I will go back with a group of friends or alone for a slice.

I came here multiple times and had varying results!IMPORTANT TIP: DONT COME DURING OFF HOURSWhen I did come during rush hour, the pizza was fine. With the cilantro dipping/drizzling sauce, it really adds more to the pizza. If I didnt have the off-hour pizza, I wouldve given them 4 stars.When I came during off hours, (I think I went at 3 o clock), the pizza we not what I expected. The crust was dry and soggy (which I have no idea how that could happen), the toppings didnt add much of anything at all and in the end, because of this, I ended up eating cilantro sauce with a side of pizza because of how bad the pizza was. The cilantro sauce redeemed 2 stars for the pizza.tl;dr: Cilantro sauce is bomb, wait the extra 10 minutes and go when there are more people or else you get cold sad pizza (at least make sure youre not the first customer in a while)

I only found out about Sliver a few years into living at Berkeley, and boy was I missing out! Sliver offers a great quality pizza for a seriously reasonable price, along with a nice environment to dine in if you choose to eat at the restaurant.The selection changes day by day, but basically every pizza Ive had at Sliver has been delicious. Make sure to try the different sauces they have available, as they only add to the taste of the pizza. Sliver has a pretty good selection of drinks too, if thats your thing.One of the highlights of eating in at the restaurant is the live band. Every time Ive been here when theres a band, Ive really enjoyed the music and its enhanced the eating experience. Definitely would recommend at least trying Sliver, I dont think youll regret it!

Sliver is an imitation of cheeseboards pizza concept and they do it well! They serve one special a day and it is always good at worst and emotionally moving at its best. They also have a vegan pizza and their renound pesto sauce if the special does not do it for you that day. You also get a free sliver or two with orders of a half and whole pie respectively. The price is $20 plus tax for a whole pie in Berkeley, but the quality of the pizza will leave you without regret! If you want potential free pizza go 5 minutes before close on a slow day and order; they will give more than you asked as a freebie. The only hard part is finding a slow day, they are always packed and for good reason, 5 stars!

Really great pizza from the same folks behind Cheeseboard.I prefer coming here because they open later than Cheeseboard and there is also a full bar. Always a plus.The atmospheres a bit more sports-bar like, but they do have live music like Cheeseboard. The last time I went we sat outside and people watched. As far as customer experience goes, this place might as well be another Cheeseboard location. The pizzas are very similar and there is only one type each day. They include small extra slices with your order. They even have the same green sauce. The only inconsistencies, really, are that Sliver is closer to the UC Berkeley campus and has a shorter line.If youre really picky like me, you might be nervous about going somewhere that offers only one type of food. This actually hasnt been a problem for me. The times Ive gone, theyve happened to have pizza Im okay with. They also post the menu for the week outside, so you can see what theyre offering each day and plan your weeks meals accordingly.

The one thing I love about this place is that it opens late compared to Cheeseboard, so I can always make it after work, and it offers beer selections, allowing you to watch the game. Parking is atrocious in Downtown Berkeley FYI so be prepared for that.

These guys are awesome. I dont know why Google doesnt list them as a pizza place, because thats their main deal. They are very similar to Cheeseboard, except for how the business is run and where the money goes to, but the consumer wouldnt really know about that stuff if all they care about is flavor. They make a new pizza everyday, and every evening there is live music. It has an awesome atmosphere, more seating than Cheeseboard, and a full bar. Former Cheeseboard employees bring the pizza a lot closer to students.Im typically around campus two times a week in the Fall and when I need to grab something to eat, Sliver has been a great option. I thought Id try this pizza based on rave reviews, since Cheeseboard is closed on Sundays. Unfortunately, the flavor profile of the pizza was Very bland and the crust was like tasted as tasteless and dry as cardboard. I cant rate them on their pizza, coz I couldnt eat it. The only slices you could get are their special for the day. That had mushrooms, which Im slightly allergic to, so didnt order one. I was told that this place is run by the same folks from cheeseboard. since i failed to try cheeseboard on my last sf eating trip, i was glad to find this place exist that also open later. i had their daily slice. i wasnt too crazy about their signature crust and variant of cheese used but i got used to it and started to appreciate after few bites. it also helped to have some good beer to pair with.

Sliver is great, perfectly located for lunch and the pizza is just great. There isnt a pizza here that is bad and actually I had the salad catered once and it was also really great. They are quick and friendly, their slice to slice variation has gotten a lot more consistent (almost approaching the consistency slice to slice at cheeseboard), and I really just have no complaints about the restaurant. If youve got a pizza craving sliver will satisfy you perfectly, and dont forget the green salsa! The one thing I will mention is that the delivery service they have with Caviar is kind of a rip off, theres a huge service fee and the driver we had for the Caviar delivery was super sketchy and had a lot of trouble finding us on the edge of campus (and then ultimately stopped in a silly location blocking traffic). If you want sliver for a function on campus just have someone walk over. Thats more on Caviar than sliver though.

This is one of those pizzaria that serves one pizza that day and thats it (with the option for vegetarian and vegan versions). When it comes to pizza Im open to trying new pizza joints but I do have my loyalties to certain pizzarias throughout the bay area. With that said... And I hate to say this, but the pizza served on Tuesday December 11, 2018 is the best pizza Ive ever had... Ever. This is also the first time Ive ever been here, so Ill need to make a more thorough review later since I only picked up the food in passing not thinking much about it. I always enjoy going to Sliver because of the great tasting pizza and the warm welcoming environment. A couple of days ago I brought a whole pie to my friends who were grieving at the childrens hospital. Somehow everyones mood just light up because the pizza just tasted so good to them. If you are a fan of Arizmendi, Cheese Board, or Gioia, you will want to try this pizza joint, at a new location. They have a daily special (always vegetarian), which is available as a slice, half pie or a whole pie. Its cheap, thin crust, freshly baked, laced with seasonal veggies, artisanal cheese and uber delicious. Make sure you get a few pumps of the green pestoish tangy salsa sauce from the side. This adds a new flavor dimension to your palette, as the succulently crispy sour-dough crust, dances with the tomato sauce and delectable toppings (in my case, the green sauce worked well with the Bulgarian feta on the daily special) - I nearly drool as I recall my experience.You serve yourself, order at the counter (there can be a line, but its worth it). On the plus side, there is ample seating, and large flat-screen TVs to lounge around. They also serve beer, Kombucha and made-to-order pizza and salads. My goto though is the daily special pizza slice.Parking can be challenging, so be prepared to walk a little if you are planning to drive there.

Formerly Blondies Pizza. Very good food but Telegraph Avenue in that particular area has lost its popularity since the 1980’s. Primarily from Telegraph Avenue’s diminished aesthetic appearance. This due to many of the buildings being in disrepair. The sidewalks are very unclean and unkept today. This being, of course, from Berkeley’s strict rent control and the Socialist government running the city. No monetary funding to put back into the buildings. Even Berkeley’s infrastructure is crumbling. The once beautiful Berkeley Pier has been closed for many many years now and will probably never be repaired or replaced. Very sad. The Pizza is still great, but the real action has moved from Telegraph Avenue down to Shattuck Avenue. Shattuck Avenue is jumping! Enjoy!

Pizza of the day. Fixed price. Good beer and spirits selection all at a decent price as well. Must try the cilantro pesto on your pizza!
