We had Smoked and Tasty cater a birthday party dinner at our house and everything was beautiful and delicious. From the appetizers to the mains to the desserts, everything was absolutely top notch, delicious and made from scratch. We will definitely be using them again and if you are looking for the perfect catering company, look no further.

Smoked and Tasty at 138 W. Grand in downtown Escondido was our lunch spot today. Situated on a block that hasn’t been kind to unique food joints, let alone any restaurant, this gem brings flavor in spades. You will love the aroma of the shop and their sandwiches were amazing. She had the lox on a plain bagel. Fresh smoked salmon with a delicious cream cheese made in house. I devoured the chicken on a jalapeño bagel. Smoked to perfection, covered in a bold pesto and cheese. These people really have the best stuff, and are so genuinely kind. I will be returning so so so many times! If you want a taste of the eastern European block or really appreciate well smoked fish that is well balanced and not overly salty this is it. Oh and dont skip on the salmon jerky, its beautifully done. Smoked fish from Smoked and Tasty, bagels from Signature bagel, flan from Auroras Bakery.

Friendly staff and extremely helpful and patient. We, as newbies had little knowledge of the different types of smoked fish. The kind and simpatichnyy young woman behind the counter patiently explained, described and even gave us samples of the fish. Will return for more smoked fish.

Hired Smoked and Tasty to cater my birthday! We had about 30 people and everyone was super impressed with the food and everyone came back for seconds!For mains we had the steak, chicken and salmon and all three were scrumptious!!! For sides we had the rice, mixed veggies and roasted potatoes - there was nothing left by the end of the evening even though we had ordered extra!Guests were also raving about their desserts. Highly recommend and we will be returning again and again!

I have been driving by this place for a couple days now and finally got the chance to stop in tonight. The lady that works there was incredibly polite and helpful! She let me try the salmon jerky and I ended up buying about a half pound of it!I am so extremely excited for the locks and bagel to be offered there in about a week or two I guess! We really need a good place here in Escondido that can craft a legendary lox and bagel. I have high hopes based on the quality of the meats and amazing service that I have seen so far!Welcome to town! :)

We attended a party catered by Ksenia last weekend and the food was delicious. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and I am very picky with my salmon. Grilled veggies were to die for, I went in for seconds and thirds. The cake was sinful and the cheeseboard was anything but boring. It included golden berries and I thought that was such a delightful and adventurous touch. All in all, smoke and tasty are now on our list of catering resources. Highly suggest!

My parents came from Eastern Europe, and this deli was like going to a old world village shop full of fresh goodies! We had the steak sandwich and the smoked salmon bagel, and both were delicious! We bought a few other things we haven’t tried yet, but such a treat to have this here in Escondido. The owner and her staff are friendly and helpful, and they offered some delicious samples while we waited. Just left an hour ago and already visualizing what we’ll come home with after our next visit.

We ordered catering from Smoked and Tasty for our baby shower. The food was amazing!!! Our guests enjoyed it so much and many asked for their contact information for future events. They delivered the food to downtown San Diego on time and the owner was very quick to respond whenever I had a question. I will definitely order from them again.

I schedule 2 Charcuterie boards for our Executive Meetings and they were amazing. Prompt delivery, presentation was amazing, food was delicious! We ordered a catering a few days before the event. The Smoked and Tasty went above and beyond to make the food so delicious. I love their store, it’s impossible to leave the place without any purchases. We tried picked salads, meat, fish, bread, cakes and more…

So rare to come across fresh smoke fished of such quality and variety. Absolutely delicious! Store also smokes meats (duck prosciutto? Yum!) and bakes fresh bread and desserts. Blown away by everything here.Will look forward to going back again soon!

Came to pick up our pickup order. Lady said that they cancelled our order. We werent notified. Said that they no longer do sandwiches and that they were already closed. Hours and info online do not reflect this. Havent heard from this restaurant, yelp, GrubHub, etc

We were so lucky to attend the soft opening of this wonderful store! I am so happy to have a place to buy gourmet charcuterie close by. Tried the awesome smoked salmon and bought the salmon jerkey. Havent been able to find any south of Eureka. Lovely shop and will be back.

Stopped by for the first time. Wow! I have been waiting for something like this to come to Grand. Locally made artisan food. The beef jerky they make is the best I have ever had. The first thing you taste in the jerky is beef. So good. Unfortunately my son ate the whole beef jerky, fortunately I get to go back and get more!

Very good smoked meat and fish. Anyone in Escondido should give this place a go. We stopped by on the way home from Carlsbad. My wife was sitting in the car with our toddler while I was on FaceTime showing her the store. I asked if she wanted Copicola, she said no, but the store lady already started to cut several fresh samples of their wares. My wife tried Capicola first and immediately changed her mind, so we got capicola, smoked eel, smoked ribs and cold smoked bacon as well and teriyaki salmon jerky(the best I had so far).We are definitely going to come back for their duck.Prices seemed very fair and not too expensive and quality was fantastic.Highly recommend this store.

If you like smoked salmon you ought to try their Smoked Salmon and Smoked Salmon belly. Very friendly, they will let you sample other delicacies (smoked shrimps!). A rare find.

We just tried Smoked and Tasty for the 1st time. Smoked chicken: delicious! Grilled vegetables: delicious! Desert macaroon beyond delicious. A little pricy but quality is worth paying for.Try it you won’t be sorry you did.

Today I saw a great addition to the store.. The front of the store cute little courtyard with a benches and a table where you can sit and have a great sandwich with smoked fish or a couple of smoked ribs!! My best purchase today was smoked ribs and cold smoked Salmon!!! OMG!!!
