Such a great find! We were in town visiting family today and they took us here. Large portions, delicious food and wonderful customer service. It was a pretty busy place but they still got everything out to us quickly and it was still piping hot. We got the quevos divorciados, pancakes ans sausage etc. It was all so fresh and delicious! Lunch menu looks great too. Thanks for a yummy breakfast!

Had a nice breakfast this morning at Snooty Fox Cafe, and it was very good. I ordered the Spanish omelet and added sausage accompanied by sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese. The service is always good and the food was tasty and enjoyable.Great little spot. Recommended.

This place has great food, friendly and quick service, and fills all the basic requirements for a good breakfast at a very reasonable price.Basically a no-frills offering, don’t come for a high end experience, come for a great meal, the place is right off I-5 in Laguna Hills. On Easter Sunday it was crowded but we still got very good food and service.I have never been to a breakfast place that has a biscuit and gravy on their featured dish, the snooty fox breakfast was right up my alley, add an egg and those potatoes (hash browns w bell peppers and onions) and you have a winner.The Mrs enjoyed the French toast, we will be back when visiting the area.

I can only speak to the breakfast, but I was pleased. The service was great. The food was good, standard breakfast fare. I was on a special diet, and when I turned down the included hash browns and toast, the server automatically asked me if Id like some other options, all of which were on my diet. There was no extra charge. That impressed me. Ill have to try dinner here sometime, but Ill be back for breakfast when Im in the area again.

The Snooty Fox, it seems, is a cornerstone of the Laguna Woods/Lake Forest area, and you’d be lucky to show up and be seated without a significant wait time. However, if you ask me, this revered status really only survives through nostalgia and tradition. True, the staff are lovely and wonderful people, and the decoration and atmosphere are truly something you don’t get to see much anymore. If you want to go just for the experience, I think it will be worth it. The food, on the other hand, is… fine. It’s just fine. I heard that the cinnamon rolls were amazing, but I found the presentation and taste to be rather underwhelming. The chili burrito, as well, left much to be desired. Even the signature “Those Potatoes” (hash browns with peppers and onions) were good, but nothing too special. For those who love the Snooty Fox and come back time and time again, I can see why, but it just doesn’t do it for me.

Great breakfast place, an established restaurant for many years in Laguna Hills. Really enjoy their old school waiters and waitresses, good portions of basic breakfast grub always cooked well.I meet there for business breakfast often, theyre very accommodating.The restaurant could use a little freshening up, but its clean and efficient.

Great home cooking style traditional breakfast. The portions were generous and the food was great. My only complaint would be they could use more seasoning for the potatoes. I had “those potatoes” and had to add a little sauce to get the flavor profile up.

Very busy, but good-tasting food and a great server. Everyone enjoyed what they got.The New York Strip Carne Asada was awesome. Steak was cooked well, not over cooked. I would say about medium well. The hash browns weren’t great. The eggs were fine. The beans tasted really good.

Snooty Fox feels like having breakfast at Grandma and Grandpas place. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so comfy and familiar. We have breakfast here at least once every time we visit southern California.The deep fried french toast is as great as youd imagine it and both the eggs benedict and eggs florentine are wonderful. Each plate comes with a ton of food so either come hungry or share with a companion.

Second time here, made it a point that if I’m ever in the area, this is my go to place for breakfast. We feasted on the Florentine Benedict as well as the Egg and Chili Burrito with Hash Browns. Benedict and Hollandaise sauce was on point with great plating. Egg and Chili Burrito will keep you full for the rest of the day, really tasty chili and hash brown was very well done.

I love the snooty fox! Its my go-to place for a delicious meal and a cozy atmosphere. Although they do need a redecorating. I love food, but before food comes people and the people that I met here, the hostess, waitress and some other patrons were genuine and wonderful. I had huevos rancheros and they were delicious. The waitress was a little slow on refilling my coffee, but she took responsibility for it and made it funny. After that my coffee, which was excellent, was refilled regularly. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a breakfast and lunch place that loves the USA. The Snooty Fox is not snooty at all. The food and people are incredible. I will be back to sample more of the menu, just have to wait for tomorrows breakfast.

When I looked at the menu, I thought it was a bit on the expensive side, but the food was good, and the portions were extremely generous! I had the veggie omelet with those potatoes. The eggs were fluffy, the omelet generously stuffed, and the accompanying biscuit was light and tasty. The service was prompt and friendly.

Great food. Serves a variety of breakfast plates, lunch and supper. Prices are a bit on the high side for a dinner. But it compensates for the fresh, authentic and delicious food served. There are two preparations of potatoes offered with breakfast. I recommend you go for the hash browns over those potatoes.Wonderful and pleasant staff. Inspite of the restaurent being 80% full at the time I went there, the staff found time to speak to most of the diners. While being diligent they did not rush.According to one server, this restaurent has been in existence for 42 years.Its time the management gave thought to an interior upgrade.

I dont say this about a lot of places, but the line is worth it. Snooty Fox is an old style diner filled with happy people and huge portions. Theres nothing fancy on the menu. Eggs, bacon, waffles, and meatloaf seem to be the staple as I looked around the joint. Located next to a retirement community, theres never a shortage of happy older folks enjoying their meal here. Come early, leave happy.

I absolutely love this place. Good portions, great prices, delicious food, and still has that neighborhood diner feel. I always get the Eggs Florentine with those potatoes well done and everytime, its delicious and hits the spot. They actually cook the spinach down before adding it, so the meal is still hot when you get it. Im a stickler about poached eggs and theyve always come out perfectly. The wait is never that long, either, and the servers are prompt with coffee refills! Always looking for an excuse to go.

This place was pretty popular from the reviews I read, and while the food was not bad, it wasnt anything exceptional. In fact, were pretty sure some of it came from a can (or a jar, as it were -- Pace Picante sauce possibly?).We had an omelette and the French toast. I wouldnt recommend the deep fried French toast -- it was a little too dense. The regular French toast was definitely better.The waitress (I think her name was Katy), was very helpful in helping us choose our plates. She was very nice and attentive.

I got the New York steak breakfast. It was pretty good, never get a New York steak breakfast so I thought it was yummy. We stopped by on a Saturday around noon and this place was very very packed. A lot of people waiting outside and inside as well. The location is not too big and the seating is a bit tight but the food is delicious. I totally plan on going back. The wait for 2 people was not that bad considering the amount of people waiting to be seated.

I went for lunch and had corned beef hash and sunny side up eggs. The eggs and toast were delicious. However, the corned beef hash didnt have enough corned beef for my tastes. Hence the deducted star. You may feel differently.The service was a bit too slow, but the restaurant was very busy. The staff were very nice though.I liked the small outdoor section, but the indoor area was way too noisy for me. I was frazzled just paying the bill with how busy it was.I would go back, but I would try the Eggs Benedict next time. It looked good.Keep in mind that this is a busy place. So, clearly a lot of people love it. I think I just ordered the wrong thing. It happens.

There tends to be a wait with a line out the door, but they sat us in 10-15 mins as a table of 2 if you come on Sunday. Considering how many people were waiting outside, that was really fast. I was really disappointed. The other reviews were so good that I was expecting something of quality. The other potatoes were burned on the outside. The omelette was brown from being overcooked and about 1/4 thick. Overall a bad experience. I wont be eating here again.

I just want to start off by saying thank you, my boyfriend and I were in Laguna for the weekend and decided to stop in here and eat. It seemed to be a family business but everyone who works here was so nice and helpful. My boyfriend wasn’t feel good and when I told the waitress she offered to give him a large drink for the road and even went as far as boxing up his food for later, I will 100% be returning to this restaurant I used to work in a diner and it gives me a lot of nostalgia to go to diners like this, there aren’t a lot of these types of diners in Los Angeles or Orange County anymore and it was nice to find one that took me back home for one meal. I can’t wait to try more of there menu

Bloody Mary wasn’t too great. And I LOVE bloody Marys. It was weird that the celery stick was very soggy; like a magician’s wand doing a magic trick, you know the one, where it’s really stiff then really wobbly. But they exchanged it for a mimosa that was tip-top. Eggs Benedict was great. Sunrise special was great. Good service. Oh, and there was a beautiful dog near us. Oh...but I did say potatoes for my sides and they gave hash browns for both. Lucky the has browns were fire.

Fantastic food and service. We stopped by on the first day of vacation and ended up sending most of our hockey team over as well. We went one more time in the 4 days we were there and know most of our team went at least 2 times some even went 3 times.

For over 10 years, Snooty has been my whole familys favorite after church brunch place. The servings are big enough for 2 meals with a 1 meal price and the food is always delicious. You will probably have a bit of a wait to get a table but its well worth the wait. Excellent service too!!

It had been over a year since I ate here. The food was terrible and expensive. The quiche had raw bacon and a wet, mushy crust. Instead of 3 big round pieces of tomato and a piece of toast, add a small bowl of fruit. The quiche already has a crust -- you dont need bread. I made an excellent quiche -- this was just disgusting. A big jumble of minced egg with lots of raw bacon. Two big pieces of cheese on top. The cook needs to open a cookbook and learn how quiche is made. Absolutely terrible. I ordered a small side salad. A bowl that had a handful of lettuce slopped messy in a bowl with 4 cucumbers pieces was delivered. Thats NOT a salad, especially for nearly $10 . I dont know what happened to this place...maybe a new owner.

Years and years ago I worked at the Snooty Fox in Laguna Niguel. I loved the food then and I still do, even though it is at the other location in Laguna Hills, the original location.It is a bit of a drive from SC, but well worth it every time.The food and recipes have kept the original taste for All these years and boy is it good!!! Eggs Benie, omelets all the way to delicious sandwiches on squaw bread with handmade onion rings. The Bomb diggity!! Even the decor is the same, a cozy old diner. Many of the employees are from long ago, what a testimony Mike has kept it all the same. He is a smart guy, when you have a good thing working, you keep it going. Delicious, generous portions, nice country style interior seating.Theres appealing covered sidewalk seating, but I question why they have seating in the parking lot (adjacent the sidewalk). It looks shabby to me and I suppose it was added during COVID-19 and remains to provide additional seating (they were at capacity for breakfast on a recent Saturday).Bottom line: I look forward to another breakfast here!

The eggs Benedict wasnt the best that I have had before but there french toast deep fried was amazing. Probably one of the best french toast that I have had in a long time. Also, the service and quickness of my food getting done was impressive. I would have given them a 3 star but decided to give them a 4 star due to how good the deep fried french toast and they had excellent quick service as well.

The outdoor seating is very pleasant. Just a very solid diner. Service was almost nonexistent. I sat at an outside table for 10 minutes then a person clearing tables took my drink order and gave me a menu. Another almost 10 minutes went by and a server came out and took my food order. Then it was about 10 minutes and I received my food. It was very unremarkable. I have been dining here for over 20 yrs. Entire family celebrates birthday breakfasts here. They’ve known my youngest brother since he was a baby and they never forget us. Standard diner fair, food was bland, Those potatos were overcooked, then undergrilled and needed seasoning. I had to pour on salt, pepper and tobacco to get any flavor out of the mush. Ham steak was lunch meat, pancakes were large and ok. Prices seemed a bit high for what you get. A small sandwich is a half sandwich while the large is a full. Due to insane amount of bacon, a small is always more than enough for me. Great American breakfast that has that homemade feeling to it. The staff is very friendly and the only problem is how crowded this place gets, so you have long wait times and the its hard for the waitresses to keep up. Still, the food is amazing and thats why it gets that crowded. Very recommended

ABSOLUTE DISAPOINTMENT! Employees and friends must FLUFF the reviews. Service was a joke, granted covid doeesnt help but this place was a joke.. waitress passed our table 2x in 15mnts, didnt offer drink, menu or a simple hello..tables around us had to get up to ask for help etc... didnt see any clear plates or hear neighbors talking about good food etc.. so confirmed it was a bust.. after another 5 mnts.. total of 20 sitting down with not even a hello and seeing the surrounding ppl just as frustrated we walked.. To the Snotty fox, get rid of half your tables, its obvious you dont have the ability to handle it an your greed to have tables with BS service doesnt do any justice for paying customers. At least an acknowledgment may have limited this review but you couldnt even do that.. ditch 1/2 your seats, give your servers a fighting chance.

A few Pros and a few Cons. Portions are big, home cooking comfort, old school 1980s sheik. Long wait, not many healthy options, old school 1980s furniture is pretty beat up. With a greasy diner, i need some more charm to go along. I did splurge for a side of biscuits n gravy, it was massive and the biscuits were super doughy, in a good/heavy way.

I live The Snooty Fox! If you like an all day, hearty breakfast that tastes amazing and great service, look no further than this locals favorite spot. Ive had lazy Sunday breakfasts with family and business meetings alike and the team at Snooty Fox knows just how to treat you in any situation. The food is always on point and theres something for everyone.

The food is great, my server was awesome! They have a ginormous mirror wall and it’s pretty interesting. It is a little diner style and I think if it had a little facelift it would be a little more modern and awesome.Go check it out.

Its hard to find one of these family style restaurants around here, most places are chains and not worth it. This place is amazing! The food, the service, the price, Wow! I love it and this is my go to breakfast spot.

I had the Snooty Fox breakfast and it was delicious. I also appreciated how my coffee mug was never empty. The service was very friendly. This is a great place for comfort food in a homey environment.

This is a classic old style coffee shop. Lots of food for reasonable price. Very popular with local folks so always crowded at breakfast and lunch. In a strip mall right off of the 5 freeway. Great to have a place that isnt part of a chain.

This is not Covid friendly. I did not see the waiters, waitresses and cooks wear gloves when handling of peoples food. One of the staff that took my order had his mask on below his nose. Like that defeats the purpose of it. The waitress brought out 4 plates of food and she was juggling all of that herself. Her finger was in the plate of food. I didnt see touching my food but it was not under my plate but in it. Gross. Not happy at all about that. Were living in a pandemic and I dont know where the staff have been. I dont know where their hands have been. So for them not to wear gloves its really reckless especially now that theres 3 different types of Covid viruses. Not coming back.

Even though we had to eat outdoors due to covid restrictions, it was very pleasing, the portions were generous and my eggs benedict was very, very yummy.Even the coffee was tasty, not a hint of bitterness.

Such a great place to grab breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday same three or four waitresses that look like their grumpy 65 year old women but theyre actually super sweet. My five year old son and I have been going there for boys breakfast on Saturday or Sunday mornings since he was about 2 years old!!! Their cinnamon rolls are to die for....

Our waitress was incredibly friendly and the food was wonderful. My friend got fresh biscuits which were fluffy and buttery, and I got huevos rancheros (a special) which came with homemade tortilla chips. Great atmosphere with lots of light!

Cozy and warm. Staff is kind and friendly, very welcoming. Food was delicious and very fast service. Tasted homemade and yummy. Treated us, vacationers, same as the regulars who I watched them laugh with.

Average food and below average service. We beat the rush on a Sunday morning but still caught a waitress who burned out long long ago.Large food portions but more a matter of quantity over quality.An ok place for breakfast but I would not go out of your way or wait too long for a table.

Came here for breakfast on 3.16.2019Ordered French Toast, 2eggs and sausages.Food was excellent, friendly waitress, except took a while to get the check. They dont want you to leave.. lol
