Succulent Slabs of Sushi !Best Yellowtail Sashimi Ive ever tasted. I got the Sashimi Lovers and they let me choose my favs.Thanks to RJs review pic from 5 years ago !The yellowtail and tuna were so epic, I asked for a custom roll with them combined with soy paper, avocado, cucumber & tempura crunch.

Place is mostly overpriced for the type of sushi you get. Portions are large but if you are accustomed to some of the more high quality sushi restaurants in the area, this is not for you. Better than market sushi but a bit commercial i.e. imitation crab and microwaved edemame. Whatever you do dont order the popcorn shrimp. Frozen shrimp covered in some nasty mayo sauce.

Quality fish for sure. Great selection of fishies. Ankimo was very yummy. Enjoyed the live sweet shrimp and live scallops. Red snapper and black snapper were cut well great chew and flavors. Truly enjoyed the experience and will be back.

Im not a rolls guys, but for rolls, its pretty good. Fish tasted fresh but the rolls ultimately all tasted somewhat similar after awhile. I got the solantro roll, crispy rice with tuna, spicy albacore roll, the so what cut roll, and the baked scallops. My favorites were the spicy albacore and the baked scallops.My background, Ive been to all 5 of major islands of Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, and Okinawa, and usually visit Japan twice a year.IG: kay_okay_eat

We love love So Sushi so much! Ryo is great and has a wonderful personality. Came here for our anniversary and I had all my favorites. I ordered Ankimo sushi, so what handroll and cut roll, uni and Toro cut roll (soooooo good and creamy), Japanese mackerel sushi, jumbo scallop sushi, and amberjack sushi 😍 soooooooo freaking good.

No. Just no. I wouldnt be back and Id hate to bash on the place, but that was not enjoyable at all. Im really surprised the place has an A food grade. The way it looked, from the dining area to the kitchen to the restrooms, Id think the place has a B grade, at best. Just did not taste fresh at all. Seemed like the fish was sitting out for days and as soon as you walk in it smells like a fish market in there.

I have no words this place is amazing! Food tasted very good but the best part it takes only 1 minute to wait! Mostly in other restraunts it’s like 15 minutes but this is amazing! I recommend going here. Chef is a pretty cool guy.

One of the best sushi restaurants for sashimi Ive ever had! We both had the small Sashimi Lover Meal: Tuna, Yellowtail, and Albacore served with soup and rice. Wow! It was fresh, high grade, thick cut, sashimi that melted in your mouth. We couldnt have been happier with our meal! Compliments to the chef and owner. You have a top notch establishment. One of the worst sushi experiences I have ever had. My wife and I have been sick ever since we got home. The fish tasted horrible and tasted like freezer burn. I can tell that nothing that came out was fresh. I am not sure if this was just a bad day but I am so surprised at the high reviews of this establishment. The food I ate today was horrible. I shouldve realized it was going to be horrible and left when they brought out all of the rolls, appetizers, and nigiri within 5 minutes of ordering. There is no way they prepared it fresh. I do not recommend this place. This is not okay and an extremely dangerous way of serving sushi.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had in a very casual, authentic atmosphere. However, just a few pieces of nigiri were overdressed (too much oil, sauce or other add on). We didnt ask, but I bet theyd go lighter on it if asked.

Best sushi in the entire valley.I literally didnt really like sushi until I came here. It is so fresh and masterfully prepared, my mind was forever changed. Each roll has such well-rounded and enticing flavors. And if youre not a sushi lover, they have delicious appetizers and teriyaki and miso meat options as well.Only thing, this place gets packed so make a ressie or dont come at peek hours. But, even if you do, they are so popular, they opened another location down the street called So Sushi Also 😆Just come here, you wont be disappointed.

I am very puzzled why this place gets so many good reviews, but food here is atrocious especially for the price asked. i doubt i would want any of it for free, but for ~ $50 per person its completely unacceptable. lets begin: edamame - never thought i would ever have to send edamame back to the kitchen, but this place made me do it - overcooked, slimy, tasteless, sad soggy plate of beans... the manager came out and explained that they use premium black edamame. just because something is considered premium, doesnt mean it is, and definitely doesnt mean i want that plate back on my table, it was gross and you reaaaaallly have to try hard to mess up edamame. hand rolls - soggy seaweed, 3 versions of crab hand roll, the crab had pieces of shell in it, completely overcooked crab meat, visually i had to overcome something to even try it because it looked like someone chewed it up and spit it out. the fried crab handroll was particularly gross. the rice was overcooked and under-seasoned. out of 3 hand rolls i barely ate half of 1 and the price for each is $10 +. fried rice/spicy salmon appetizer - salmon was bearable, in fact the only thing i could eat without cringing over it. the fried rice was once again - overcooked prior to frying and fried to the state where it was nearly impossible to bite into. and last but not least - signature sosushi roll A - i bet your local grocery store at the end of the day has better quality fish on their pre-made rolls than what this roll had. it also had a spicy sauce on it, which was the only thing you could taste, it was that type of heat when your mouth is on fire and you can no longer taste anything, so totally pointless to even have fish on that roll, couldve been just rice dipped into the sauce, i wouldnt be able to tell the difference. i guess fish gives you that risky factor of how your stomach would handle this dining experience afterwards.service was attentive, facilities were clean, the atmosphere was quite charming and i really wanted to like this place, but i guess it wasnt my day.

Great service. We had a very attentive waitress however we found that the food we have come used to was not the same consistency and quality. Too bad because we truly loved this. Little neighborhood place.We order the yellowtail carpaccio and it seems like we had left over pieces of sushi. The pieces of the fish were not thinly spread on the plate. A bit disappointed.

What a fantastic meal. Completely was blown away by the quality! The chef was very quick, would barely finish one order before the next arrived. The waitresses were also very prompt at refilling drinks and clearing plates. Get the yellowtail belly if you want to have your mind blown.

What a treat! Went here with my mom about a week ago when I was down for my daughters wedding. I live in Nevada City, California and there arent great sushi places there. So, I took a chance on this place having never been and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Excellent sushi! I will definitely be back next time I visit my mom!

Great sushi! Fresh fish, very good rolls. I would suggest making reservations, as I go there very often, and see how it gets packed and there is often a wait to get seated if you prefer a table. Somewhat small place, but definitely good food there. I recommend.

I really like this restaurant the sushi is really good but you can’t place takeout orders at 9 when they close at 10? Doesn’t make sense unless you’re driving 1hr for take out sushi. I get it maybe if the cut off was 9:30 but 9? Oooook I’ll go place my $200 order at the neighbors sushi place. 👍🏽

I love this place ❤. Ive been there countless amount of times and was always happy with the quality of food and service. Its not expensive at all for the food you get.Rio is a super star. Best sushi chef and charming guy.I strongly recommend this spot. But, guys, if you dont want to spend like half an hour waiting for the table, please pick up the phone and make a reservation. I wish this spot was at least a little bit bigger. But I guess I wouldnt want it to lose its charm.

Came here on a date for my Birthday, and the food was absolutely delicious, the service was above par, and environment was warm, intimate, and welcoming. They even turned off the lights and surprised me with a bowl of yummy icecream with a candle while the entire restaurant sang happy birthday. Ill be back.

This is easily my favorite sushi place in the valley. Great food, super nice staff, and the prices are good! We can stuff ourselves and have drinks for a reasonable price, and the whole time one of the owners is greeting people, chatting, and making us feel welcome. Definitely go!

There are 2 restaurants So Sushi and So Sushi Also. Both are are beyond great. The tuna is flown in from Japan 2xs a week. These restaurants serve the highest quality fish and I wont go anywhere else. Thanks to Rio and his brother these restaurants are a cut above

Ive been wanting to order from here because one of my friends raves about this place. But when I look at the online menu it seems to be missing menu items and when I call, no one answers. The last time I called, someone did pick up but it seems like they just did it to stop the phone from ringing because all I could hear was background noise, I didnt actually get speak to anyone. Went back to this place and unfortunately it So Sucked. The menus were dirty. The staff was quite friendly, however they did get my order wrong and tried to charge me for it. We were seated by the kitchen and towards the end of our dine, they decided to dump their stuff out. What stuff? I dont know, but it reaked of fish and older food that made me and my gf get out even faster. Was great the first time, and didnt really experience anything too bad aside from funny looking edemame.. sorry but I prob wont be coming back for a whiiiiiiilllleeeee.

This is about the soup and Miso and anything cooked with water. The water here is fetted. It smells and tastes like chlorine and rusted pipes. Which means the miso, udon, tempura etc. Shares this taste and smell.AVOID AT ALL COST

This is my go-to sushi spot in the valley. The chefs are passionate about heir sushi. I remember the first time I went there I asked for spicy mayo and Chef Taka suggested that I not eat sushi with that since it masks the flavor. Instead he offered chili oil and said thats best to use if you want added spiciness.

Everything here is delicious! I have not tried one item here that I did not love. The flavors, the freshness, and the portions, you just cant find it anywhere else. Im hooked! I live an hour away but ever since Ive eaten here, its so hard to find comparable sushi else where. My boyfriend and I always come here to celebrate or just for our date night. Taka and Ryu are so awesome! Must, must start off with their sashimi salad, its THE best sashimi salad Ive ever had. Period. Theyre toro, uni, and sweet shrimp... omg... Just speechless.
