This is a fun place to always watch them prepare your food. The chefs are good and the weight staff is a tentative. Its not knock down delicious but very decent.Its a pretty expensive place.The tips are built in for large parties which is typically why they get are high. The floors could be cleaned a little bit better and the countertops since a lot of the prepared dishes are more greasy thus its harder to keep the surfaces as clean.

Went for my Oldest Grands 20th Birthday. Very enjoyable, entertaining and all around fun!The Host, our Waitress and especially the Chef were amazing! We had a great time, even though we got a lil loud ☺The food was good and we all took home leftovers.Thank you Soho for a very nice evening.

I can’t think of a place with better customer service. My spouse has dietary restrictions. We informed the server of what they were when we placed our order. We did the hibachi dinners. Our chef read the order carefully before he began to cook and communicated well. He doubled checked everything while he was cooking. He was careful and methodical. He did a great job. The attitude of the staff is positive and amazing. The food was fabulous. I highly recommend this place if you haven’t yet tried it. The hibachi is a blast! Fun for the entire family.

Certainly a busy time during dinner and weekends of course but to my surprise the night staff were very excellent and organized considering all the chaotic customers of sorts; families and children or couples and friends. The food there is delicious and the staff are just delightful! I had a very fun time there with my mother and so did she this is a great place to go for any occasion especially if Lynn, Ellen, David, Sean, Monica and whoever else was there to help make sure everything ran so smoothly! A cook YELLED LOUDLY in front of us at the wait person for trying to get us in for our reservation so we left... but here are the details.I called ahead for reservations for 12:00 but was told no, 12:15 is better. I specifically indicated it was for my birthday. We arrived and were told we had to wait awhile. We asked the wait person how long we would be waiting, she said your reservation is for 12:30, which no, I told her I actually wanted 12:00 but was told 12:15.She then tried to get us in and a cook berated her in such a demeaning way it was terrible, embarrasing and uncomfortable! He yelled at her that he would not accommodate us (reservations and all) .We got up and left.That is not how you treat employees and not what a customer wants to hear, especially choosing YOUR restaurant for their special birthday meal.Shame on this place.

This was our first time here I called he got us in at 6pm we loved the whole experience me and my hubby took our grandsons. Leo was the most awesome chef 😍 he was great with out grandsons and also the other family at the table. The whole staff is great and just so welcoming and apologize for checking me our wrong but totally understandable no worries. Great service and food. They have a good menu selection for teppanyaki, steak and lobster, seafood combo....The chef was fun and entertaining and wait staff is so friendly and quick to get what you need. I would definitely recommend Soho and will be going back!

Went here this past Easter Sunday for my mom’s 75th birthday. We had 2 adjoining tables since we were a party of 13. The service and chefs were great. The food was good (too much soy sauce on the fried rice). Overall, we had a great time and spent over $700 plus both chefs were tipped separately $20 each.I signed the bill, took family pictures and off we went. That evening, I finally sat down to split charges with my siblings, I went through the bill and turns out that SoHo charged 9.4% in tax (vs Roseville tax of 7.75%) and included gratuity of 21.3% while it should have been 18% based on subtotal excluding tax (which is how it should work). My sister called the restaurant the next day to inquire, the worker who answered confirmed the menu stated 18% gratuity will be added for parties of 5 or more. She asked if they could reimburse us the difference to make it right, but the following response to her was “You should have said something while you were here”. Seriously? We need to calculate all that ourselves? I would have thought they would have a device to add/calculate everything as a service to their customers.As much as we would like to go back, they just lost future customers. Advice - learn math, get your calculator app ready, and prepare to argue with the staff.

Just like Benihanas! Excellent food. Great service! We did call in a reservation just in case so I would def call ahead. We will be coming back for sure. The filet mignon was delicious. The shrimp was the best thing here. Salad was very good too.

Arrived a little late but was still accommodated quickly. Ordered the trio with lobster, steak, & shrimp. Lobster was over cooked & rubbery. Shrimp was delicious. Steak seemed a little bland & fried rice was delicious as well. Our server was nice & helpful. The chef that was at our table cooking did some cool tricks and entertained the kids. Parking can be an issue during peak dinner times.

Definitely call ahead if you want to sit at the hibachi. They were missing a chef (or 2) when we went so our chef was a little rushed. All in all, he did a good job, was entertaining and the food tasted good.

Some much better restaurants Ive ever seen the chef are amazing so polite and respectful, the hibachi Shrimp 🦐🍤 with fried Rice 🍚 was deliciously good that I devour it up and the veggies were delicious 😋 the volcano 🌋 the chef did with the onion was amazing. The waiter was so there to help us after it was just us the people were so awesome on letting us watch the football game out load on tv . These people are awesome. The butter 🧈 fly that the chef said as he did the butter on the rice was a laughing out loud funny. Anyway good service and great awesome chef and waiter just to let you know the birthday song was awesome on our birthday 🎂

I feel compelled to share a very strange and uncomfortable experience I had with this restaurant. I work in hospitality and just experienced one of the worst customer service moments I’ve ever witnessed. Dave, the host who greeted me when I walked in, was extremely abrupt, rude and snappy to me for just asking if there was a table available for 7 people. I understand it was a walk in and last minute, but being told “No. we aren’t taking you” without any context or even a simple polite greeting is not customer service. “We aren’t taking you”?! How do you say that to a patron wanting to dine at your restaurant? Not even a warm welcome or a smile. I then asked when next available seating was and told “nope, not servicing you. We are closed” when the restaurant was clearly open. After I looked around he said “we stopped seating at 7:30” (it was 7:40) with a very stern and negative delivery. I don’t get it, all I did was walk in and ask if there was anything available for my family and kids and received one of the coldest responses I’ve ever experienced. Dave is not an example of customer service, nor should he be representing this restaurant and its brand. I hope someone is able to give him this feedback so he can learn from this as we all have “those moments” or bad days, but this is just something I can’t stomach for not being addressed. Especially with a restaurant that has such great reviews and ratings. I hope management can give him this constructive feedback so he doesn’t degrade or make people feel so unappreciated just for wanting to be patrons at an establishment that has the online ratings it does. Unacceptable, unprofessional and discourteous. Best of luck to his ability to simply be a better human. And hopefully just chalk it up to a “bad day” because we all have those moments. Horrible and dirty place, 0-star service. NO GO!We have visited this horrible place yesterday and were waiting for 2-3 mins to be seated. Then once sat close to the bar, a server gave menu to us, but never showed up to receive an order. I have looked at this place for a few years in the parking lot but never checked it out. We finally decided to give it a try. We came here on a Saturday night with no reservations. We were sat with another group within minutes. The customer service and attentiveness of the staff was some of the best I have had at a restaurant. They generally cared about you having a great experience and enjoying the food. I ordered the hibachi steak and it was cooked perfectly, my fiance ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was full of flavor. The garlic chicken fried rice was amazing. Our chef Erik made it very entertaining and had great conversation. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Overall I rate this experience 5 stars. The food was excellent, mostly because the ingredients were all freshly cut and cooked in front of us as part of the show (Teppanyaki). The Teppanyaki show itself was likewise excellent, and since others at the same table ordered different dishes, the cooking portion was longer than most and was very entertaining.

The food and service was great, our chef was Jose who was hilarious and talented. Everything was great. There were only a couple negatives. The first is how hot it was inside. I understand there are grills everywhere and they are constantly generating heat, but there has to be something they can do to cool cool it down a little in there. The second thing I feel like needed improvement was the decor. Or lack thereof. The walls are plain and empty besides some lights. It needs to be decorated and needs a good vibe or ambiance in there and then I would give this place 5 stars.

Dinner and a show, and both were superb!All the food is cooked to perfection right in front of you. The atmosphere encourages conversation - not one person in the restaurant was playing on their cell phone, except to take memorable pictures.The chefs are skilled, engaging, and very entertaining. Every table at some point cheers with laughter. While there is often a significant wait once you are seated (even with a reservation), the performance completely outshines any delay.Various sushi rolls are available, as are mixed drinks. But the real fun is with the teppanyaki. Choose chicken, steak, shrimp, or even tofu.Watch as the experienced chefs twirl and juggle their knives. Fried rice, veggies, and proteins are cooked before your eyes with imagintive and appealing presentations. The kids had a wonderful time trying to catch broccoli or rice tossed their way.The chefs also clean the grill right in front of you, adding to the sanitation of an already clean establishment. Restrooms are tidy and convenient.Prepare for $30 to $40 plates for each adult, but kids meal portions are also available. The tables typically seat about 8 people, but a couple of tables on hand accommodate up to 12. Reservations are highly recommended.But enough talk - grab a family or group of friends and go have a fabulous experience at Soho Sushi and Teppanyaki!

Five stars to Eric our teppanyaki chef. Just the right amount of show vs cooking, everything tasted wonderful.Five stars for flavor and quality, as well as the service from the rest of the staff.Three stars for value. Pretty expensive for a strip mall teppanyaki restaurant.Two stars for cleanliness. The hoods are in dire need of cleaning, and the cooktops were all rather grungy.We would come back.

The reason for 3 stars was 2 main reasons: 1) It took nearly an hour after being seated for us to get our main course. 2) The sushi bar was not open for ordering which we werent told until after we were seated and given our drinks.

As we all google our restaurants, I did. I was planning a fabulous night for my daughter’s birthday. She loves Soho in Ranch Cordova this place she frequents. It’s so far for me so I found the same company in Roseville they had their menu online and had the exact same items… I made reservations. We got there and begun to order… no they don’t have same items…none of what We wanted did they have, no party boats no crystal balls, no oyster shooter, no oysters. Half the selection of sushi. And it was so dang hot inside and then to be seated at a hibachi grill ugh. I felt so disappointed. The fact that the place does not update their menu website it was like a bait and switch. I even left a message on the answering machine that I wanted the big party boat. And when they called back no mention that they don’t have party boats. The sushi rolls all tasted the same.I recommend the Soho in Ranch Cordova for a sushi experience. The Roseville servers were very pleasant in Roseville. The hibachi chefs were fun and pleasant too! If you want hibachi the food looked ok. One in my party had ordered that and he said it was ok. I think some decor change, a good scrub, and update the menu online so you know what your getting would be good. Air conditioning is a must, make sure to check to see if they have ac. I hate to leave negative reviews. I think this place has tremendous potential. The prices are good, service is good. Ice tea for 4$ is insane and it’s just plain ice tea lol. But knowing what your getting is huge…I wouldn’t say don’t go here, don’t go by the menu online and they said the restaurants are Soho 1,2 and 3 that would also be helpful so you can go to the restaurant that Serves what you desire.

Delicious food and such a fun experience for a family outing or with a group of friends. The staff and our chef Alex were so nice, warm and welcoming and made us feel like family. Alex was awesome on the Teppan and made us laugh and feel involved while cooking. He did some really cool tricks too! Some of the most yummy fried rice and food ever. Our appetizer was comped because it came out after our dinner which took us by surprise since it didn’t bother us at all. We were so grateful! Had such a fun time and recommend this place to all. Ask for Alex! Great flavor in food and extremely reasonable priced. The ambiance is comparable to most hibachi grills. The sushi selection has a nice variety. This particular place is super accommodating to large groups and even more so children! Family oriented, prompt service and our favorite was Alexs personality as well as overall knowledge of the industry. We have been here over the years under different management. This last time for my husbands birthday was definitely one of our favorite experiences. We will be back.

Food at the hibachi grill is really nice. They have a separate menu and area from the rest of the restaurant, so I cant speak on those.The hibachi menu isnt very expansive, but the food is delicious. Both times I went, my steak was a little over done, but I dont hold it against them. I rarely actually get medium rare when I ask for it.The staff were nice and helpful. The one commentary I do have is that the hibachi menu didnt come with the drink menu or appetizers, which was kind of annoying.Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. The food was good, not top notch, but enjoyable. There was a lot of it, so I walked away pretty full. Ive been there twice, will definitely go there a third time.

We had a reservation for 7pm. We got there, tables were full. People were getting seated but they only had 3 chefs. People were waiting at the tables and not being served. A guy was there for more than an hour when he was told 15 minutes. They were still seating people and not serving them. They had like 7 tables, only 3 with chefs the rest just waiting. We walked away. One of the waitress told us straight that it will be like 2 hours until we get a chef on our table, we appreciate his honesty. The owner was seating people to get them drinks and having them to stay but we chose to walk away. Being honest at the beginning would have been by far better.

My first time here, but pleasantly surprised. Got there when they opened only a party of 3, they still sat us and got right to us. Unlike another place that I USED to frequent. Ricardo was our chef. He was fun and talented. My new favorite Teppanyaki place. Loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Went with a friend during the Christmas Holidays and had a wonderful time. Tim who cooked our food at our table was awesome. He cooked the food just the way we liked it and it was really good and his performance while he did it was amazing. I made a reservation confirmed twice and when I got there they didnt have my name down, said they only had two chefs (on a Sunday) and couldnt serve our party, we left and found a very nice place in Folsom. Im giving this restaurant a 4 star so it doesn’t affect it based on one employee. I had a reservation for tonight that I made yesterday, the guy who made it didn’t take down the number of people in the party and I realized that later on so I called back today at 4 when it opened to make sure they had 4 people down.I got a really strange call from the same guy and he told me I called a different location today to book another reservation and that he took down the number of people I had yesterday. I checked the numbers I called and all were the same Roseville location number so I’m pretty sure he was making it up. He argued with me on the phone about it and then told me he was making sure it wasn’t a prank call and he had serious attitude. It was just really odd. I’m guessing he got in trouble or talked to about not taking down how many people we had and so he decided to call back with an excuse and attitude. I called later to cancel my reservation because of how rude and awful he was. Management please keep an eye on him, it was very strange.

Summary: You need to go!Absolutely loved this place. We knew some of the cooks from other teppanyaki places that had closed down, so we followed them here. The chefs all put on a great show and are friendly. Last time we went, we had a group of about 12 and everything was made perfectly. Its a more expensive place, but the portions are massive.

Thought we’d give this place a shot for some quick sushi rolls for dinner (7:30pm) even though some recent reviews have not been good. They were in the process of seating a large party. Couple waiting in front of us had been there 5 minutes with no greeting. We waited another 5 minutes when a harried employee arrived and asked if we had a reservation? No we would just like sushi. “Sorry no sushi tonight “ was all the explanation we received. So of course we left and won’t be back. The teppanyaki side looked busy. Their website says nothing about not selling sushi during all of their business hours.

Great place! Came for a early dinner at teppan room.Food was great! Service was superb! Walked up to the restaurant and saw a sign that read No sushi today, sorry for the inconvenience. We turned around and got back in our car. A lady came out waving at us, apologizing that they didnt move the sign from lunch, so we went back in.The food portions were generous, but unfortunately didnt taste very good. I ordered the cucumber sunomono, which ended up being cucumber on top of cabbage(?!) in what seemed like watered down vinegar.My entree was no better; the tuna was not fresh, and the crunch topping was stale. The roll itself was a good size, but the pieces were unevenly cut and too large. I had to bite each piece in half in order to eat it. Not sure if they were understaffed but the service was super slow. Normally I dont complain since I worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years, but we asked for our drinks 3 times and finally received them when we were almost done eating. We were charged for the sodas that we didnt have much of a chance to drink. The host/ server first seated us at the hibachi table without asking us if we were ordering hibachi. Then he asked us to move to the other side of the restaurant when we ordered non hibachi items which wasnt a big deal but they left us at a table and forgot about us. Our miso soup never came with the bento box meals and my oldest daughter never received her miso that she ordered separately from her sushi roll. We were charged for the miso and had to ask the server to credit my card back the amount. The food took an hour to get to the table. Food was ok. Bento boxes had yummy chicken but the tempura was oily and not cooked very well so the batter was still a little gummy inside especially the broccoli. My daughters crunchy sushi roll was just ok. I will never go to this restaurant again and want the server/ host to know that he shouldve done a better job. Maybe get another job that isnt hospitality because he surely didnt know how to accommodate.

The male that kept stepping in for her was amazing. I really hope shes having a bad moment or just didnt like me or something. Only way Ill come back is if she isnt my server. Options for sushi extends to baked, deep fried, torched, traditional, special and rice free rolls. Rolls arent very expensive $6-$12 most depending on the style of roll, also the rolls are quite large up to 9 pieces. Appetizers range from $4-$7. My husband and I love coming here, its affordable for sushi and its a great value.

This was our second visit to Soho Sushi. We met Chef Edgar and was impressed with his sushi preparation skills. My hubby and I shared garlic edamame which was deicious, warm and garlicky. The sunnomo, salad had the right amount of sweetness and crunch. I dont remember the name of the rolls we shared but they we great, fresh and just the right amount of spice and the sauces great. The chef had excellent skills, he had just the right amount of rice in our rolls. And the way I rate good sushi. If the sushi is good, you dont need soy sauce.
