2023-11-12 00:57:44Stopped in for lunch on a sunny, Saturday afternoon. Dining room is small, functional and most importantly, clean. Service was prompt and courteous. We had the dumplings, orange chicken, pork fried rice, and beef chow mein. Everything was fresh and delicious. Though similar, the dumplings were far superior to the traditional pot sticker — the exterior was firm yet delicate and perfectly thin, and the filling was packed with flavor. Similarly the orange chicken was a standout — generous bite size pieces of crunchy yet succulent chicken bathed in a well balanced, citrusy orange sauce.

2023-11-10 15:18:23I cant say enough about this place. It was amazing! A colleague of mine spent many years in SF during his college years and said this was one of his favorite places years ago.We all went, and he advised that the flavor hadnt changed. It was my first time going, and I was highly impressed. There are a lot of food options. The meat pie is a must! Orange chicken was super flavourful. Everything else was sooo good.Location has plenty of seating and staff was awesome. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends and family.

2023-12-25 06:26:37What a hidden gem! We were very happy to stumble across this restaurant on Christmas Eve, when other popular restaurants had a 45-minute wait for a table. At this restaurant, they opened up the second floor dining area just for us! We felt like we had our own private dining room! Our waiter also looked like such a genuine guy - he was friendly, polite and helpful. The food was very tasty too (we shared 4 dishes between the 4 of us)! It was my first time trying food from the Hunan region and I really loved it!

2023-06-10 05:45:05Stopped by on a weekday night and enjoyed this authentic and tasty Hunan experiences in SF. We ordered a few specials (smoked pork, eggplants and green beans, and the money pop eggs). The flavors were deep, clean, nostalgic and comforting. I especially enjoyed the eggplant - they had a smoky, savory flavor and were not oily and mushy, which can sometimes be found at some other places. The green beans, with their slight crunch paired well. Green tea was served in traditional teapots - the tea was light with a floral note, balancing the defined flavors of the food. Downstairs has a modern vibe with bright colored lights while the upstairs offers a more minimalist vibe (where we dined). The upstairs space is elegant and was bathed in the soft tunes of classical music which, along with the green tea, is a great way to cap the end of a day.

2023-10-23 18:12:15Authentic Hunanese cuisine at the heart of SF Chinatown. As a native Hunanese, I’m usually very critical of the proclaimed Hunanese restaurants in the States. But this place is different - the food reminded of home-made dishes growing up. The smoked pork (腊肉) was the highlight and brought me instantly back home. 😭 the second floor has a completely different vibe that you forget you are in a Chinese restaurant.

2023-05-13 03:09:59老板热情,饭菜正宗,口味绝佳,值得再来!We love the food and the service. I born and raised in Hunan, the food reminds me a lot of my grandparents and what they used to cook. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming. Knowing my husband is learning Chinese, he stayed for a good amount of time, to explain the food in Mandarin.

2023-10-02 01:45:25I found this place by pure coincidence while heading towards Chinatown. While it doesnt look particularly remarkable, its one of few places opened on Sunday evening in the area. I tried their signature dish - smoked pork belly with rice on the side and it was super tasty

2023-09-13 05:54:44Dont be deceived by the first floor, head up to the 2nd floor for beautifully decorated restaurant setting. Friendly service, spicy stir fry and cold beer does the rest... ahhh...
