I love the color schemes and decorations. The sandwich I got was so delicious it was insane. We also got the Greek salad and that was amazing too. Kids eat free with a meal I believe.

The chicken panini sandwich with pesto was delicious. A small little part of the chicken felt a bit uncooked, but the majority of everything else was good. I really enjoyed it besides that small part being uncooked. Next time, I ll ask if they cook the chicken a little more. The brownie was delicious. Drinks are delicious. I would come back again.

We really enjoyed our meal here. I ordered tomato soup and the vegan smoothie, my husband had orange walnut salad. I felt the portions were reasonable. We were surprised and happy to learn that kids meals are free, so my son got pb&j sandwich, fruit, and almond milk. It was nice to find a place that offered him almond milk rather than just cow milk or sugary juice. He enjoyed it too.The atmosphere was very fresh and clean. They even had live orchid flowers on the table.I guess the only downside for us was they closed promptly at 7 and we met a friend there that was stuck in traffic and couldnt arrive until almost 6:30, so our meal felt a little rushed. We tried to go out to talk in the parking lot but couldnt stay there either due to an alarm system. So it might not be a good place for you to go for dinner to meet friends unless you go earlier or have takeout.Aside from the early closing time, I definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again!

This is one of those places that has a hip ambiance to lure people in, but the food is meh. It’s great to take pics for social media but the food leaves much to be desired. I got the chicken pesto panini w a garden salad. The panini was barely grilled so bread wasn’t crispy and cheese wasn’t very melty. Which are pretty much the only two things I ask for in a panini. They boxed the hot panini with my cold salad. I had planned on biking home and eating at home but had to stop and eat the salad really quick bc otherwise the heat from my sandwich would steam the salad :PAlso the salad was pretty sad, it was just a pile of spinach (not even chopped or anything) w some carrots chunks on top accompanied by a vinaigrette that was ok. I guess leaves and carrot is technically a salad. Don’t be fooled by the Claire’s-esque ambiance, the food is not great. Service was good though. Restaurant seemed very clean, at least.

Not sure how much parking is available cause I walked over. There is a big lot nearby though.It’s super cute inside and still has their iconic beautiful green chairs!!Pricing is outstanding!! $10 something for a sandwich and it includes a side (fruit, salad, or chips)!!Kids eat for free!! Amazing!!!I ordered a pesto tri tip sandwich and it was delicious!! I chose sweet maui onion chips to compliment my meal.They also have a lot of different teas and lemonades! I enjoyed the Cobb salad. It was initially given to me without bacon and eggs, but as soon as I realized it and turned to look at the counter, the person behind the counter realized it too and made it right. It was a good portion and the ingredients were fresh. My friend always gets the curry soup, even in the summer, because its so good.

Lots of good options for vegetarians and vegans. Friendly staff who double checked which cheese we wanted after ordering the vegan chicken on a satisfying Pesto Sandwich. I sampled some of the teas and lemonades, all of which I will consider getting next time I go, though the smoothies also looked good. We walked there from the park a couple blocks to the north, so the light food was very refreshing in the summer warmth.

Oct. 2023.Thank you to the owner for replacing my sandwich and the refund.This sandwich was much better and the salad was very good & the fruit.Unfortunately my sandwich was so bare and nothing to it. I like substance inside the bread. I didn’t want a bread sandwich. 2 (1/2 teaspoon) of mashed Avacado. So no taste of Avacado. 1/2 teaspoon of the dressing, not enough.I will never go there again :( It doesn’t make sense to me to make such a weak sandwich.

First thing I noticed was the vibe. Its definitely a relaxing place to enjoy some food or study (free WiFi). The food here is so fresh with a variety of choices for all! I really enjoyed all their teas! The cherry raspberry and blueberry lemonade teas go well together. But my favorite item was the coconut curry soup. The staff was very friendly and even offered samples of their soups of the day. The only reason I knocked off a star is because my sandwich was swapped with my friends sandwich. I ended up eating a bite and realized it was chicken. I havent had chicken in over 10yrs. Fortunately, I let it go and enjoyed my actual meal. I definitely recommend this place for a good healthy meal (they also make smoothies).

Im stoked I found this place. Foods delicious, and in very generous portions. The owner is super friendly and takes care of everything, from running the register to cleaning the place.Their Curry soup is delicious! And everything else can be made into a salad, a wrap or a panini. Everything we ordered was spot on.The place also has great decor and is as clean as you can find them, literally sparkling. Theres free parking on the back and free WiFi.When it comes to prices, theyre average. Not cheap but not expensive. Actually their drinks are super cheap and with many options.If youre looking for a good healthy bite, I couldnt recommend this place more!

I will go back soon and I highly recommend this for your healthy eating pleasure. Very reasonable and worth it at $10.9/8/22Who puts walnuts in their sandwich? It IS SUPER GOOD! This is the Walnut Pesto Panini, it has sour dough bread, basil pesto, walnuts, sweet pickled onions, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, and agave mustard vinaigrette. Only $10.20. Ill keep you posted :)

Nestled in between a vitamin shop and a 24 hr fitness gym lies a great dining joint that boasts healthy fare that tastes great to boot. Its unassuming from the outside but has a a very warm cozy interior. Clean farm housey vibe. The owner is a genuine friendly and generous fellow (thanks for the free chips) I had the Jamaican sandwich with trip tip for the protein which is now my favorite. The offer up salads and sandwiches soups with a healthy organic slant. So far I have that sandwich and the orange walnut salad and all so good healthy and flavorful as well. Highly recommend.

I go every week for lunch and love their menu. The wraps are so creative with great flavors and lots of choices. Wonderful salads. Their teas and lemonades are delicious. They have a cute seating area outside and its nice to enjoy their cold drinks on a hot day. The staff is very friendly. The owner really enjoys being there and makes sure everything is perfect. Awesome and healthy smoothie! But one of the men that work there, (manager? Owner?) Rudley came up to me and my girlfriend and claimed we weren’t customers there when we hadn’t even sat down yet. Staff there is really nice except that one employee really left a bad first impression of the restaurant and we likely won’t return because of that. It really is a shame because the smoothie was great!

After leaving the gym, I decided to get something healthy to eat.It was my first time trying this place.The owner (Latino man) greeted me when I walked in, and most of the staff seemed distant, or just busy.I mentioned that it was my first time, and inquired about how things worked.I ordered my food, and I was pretty much left alone after I sat down.A White family at another table was waiting for their food. It was their first time too, as the dad mentioned.(Note: It was just me, and the family, no other customers at that time.)The owner got their attention and offered some soup.Its on the house!, he yelled from behind the counter.I thought, Free soup? Thats nice.I was waiting for him to offer me soup, but he didnt.Awhile later, when everyone was eating, he yelled,Is everything okay?I looked up and he was staring at the family, and smiling.I thought he was going to turn and check-in with me too,but he didnt.None of the staff checked-in with me.Maybe, they are catering to a specific kind of customer?Overall,aside from the strange experience, the tuna wrap was amazing. I also enjoyed the tea selection, very healthy, and the side salad was nice.(This is the reason for the 5 stars.)I am passionate about Equality,and so, I will not be returning.However,I encourage you to go if you are looking for something healthy to eat. While waiting for my car to be serviced at Sierra, I took a walk and saw Something Healthy Cafe. The food was delicious, fresh and well made. I also enjoyed the choices for protein on my sandwich since I am vegetarian. I ate half and took the other half home for dinner. The blueberry lemonade was tasty and refreshing. I’ll definitely go there again and recommend it.

Im a big fan of places that serve delicious and healthy food (you could say its a delicate balance). I got the pesto salad with tuna, and it was amazingly delicious. I couldve ordered it as a wrap, but I was pleased with what I got. The salad was more than reasonably portioned. I was very satisfied with my lunch. I had their cold brew smoothie, which had peanut butter, banana, and whey in it, and that was surprisingly good. The restaurant itself is small, but has a very comfortable atmosphere. I cant wait to come here again and bring my family.

Beautiful set up. I liked the simplicity of the menu. The cashier guy was kinda emotionless but whatevs. I got the southwest salad and a fruit side. Loves the portion size of both salads and everything felt fresh.Kinda wished there was romaine or more crunch in it. Too many onions, and the southwest dressing just tasted like chipotle salsa. The tea selection is bomb. Lemonade however tasted like old lemons to me. Id definitely go back though and dabble in the sandwiches next time.

Ive driven by this place hundreds of times didnt know what great food they served well worth the extra wait and a few dollars more but well worth it to enjoy the food and variious antioxidant teas recommended by nutritionist and oncologist to fight cancer. they offer with no limit on the various teas Also . ask to get a $15 discount from your present purchase and future purchases as well. No advertised discounts else for this cozy, comfortable setting. It draws a nice crowd of people and the owners adult children are especially respectful and attentive to serving you. Well done by the father/ owner. This will be a regular stop for me weekly. Ample parking in the rear enclosed property.

The owner and the employees have all always been nice and friendly. Needless to say the food here is great since I said I’ve been coming here for years. Always knew this place was there but because it was behind everything I normally eat it was in the back of my mind and forgot about it. I made a concentrated effort to eat there and it was great. The people are nice and friendly. The Cobb Salad was very large with a lot of toppings. This is the only place I have seen with unsweetened fruit teas in a variety of flavors and they are bottomless. They give you a cup with ice and have mini cups to try the different flavors before you dedicate to a flavor that might be not to your taste. I tried the jackfruit and it was ok, but the cherry and raspberry blend was awesome with a tart aftertaste. If youre looking for a great healthy place to eat with a good atmosphere give this place a try. Its behind Churchs Chicken and near 24 hr fitness but you have to enter and exit on Shamrock (Where 24 hr fitness is but one driveway lower).

This place is great. Great tasting sandwiches (faves are chicken pesto and italiano with tri tip) and for a pretty good price. $10 for panini and a good size salad. Starting to get some more traffic so it could take a while for your order if you go @ noon exactly but still worth it. The iced teas are great too.

I was visiting Monrovia, CA and looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat. Based on the recommendation of a worker at the Michaels Craft store I gave this place a try. What a gem! Review from 2010.I decided to try this place for lunch today and Im glad I did! The restaurant is located in an awkward place where its in between Churchs Chicken and 24 Hour Fitness on Shamrock street. I didnt really take a look too much at decor and such only because I was famished and couldnt wait to get my grub on. All I remember was that it was clean.So I walked up and and asked the cashier what was good and she was helpful to give me some ideas. I ended up getting a half sandwich and soup. I really didnt want to eat too much since Ive been watching my portions lately. I ended up getting the Sun-dried Tomato Turkey sandwich and Tomato Basil soup. They were both really good. The Sun-dried Tomato Turkey sandwich had avocado, alfalfa sprouts, sun-dried tomato spread, butter lettuce on sourdough bread. Everything about this sandwich is just really good! It definitely tasted light and that was something that I wanted. I hate eating the heavy stuff and making me feel like *ish the rest of the day. The Tomato Basil soup was creamy and good. It was definitely the perfect portion for lunch. I do plan on coming back possibly even tomorrow and trying other items from their menu or I might just order the same thing because it was just that good!There is something that I recommend them improving and that is to put fun upbeat hip music to kind of get the staff going. They all seemed a bit calm and not as happy. Customer service would be even greater if they seemed a bit more upbeat and smiling more. Id also like to see that the cashier be a little more informative about what makes their store unique as opposed to other sandwich shops. I honestly didnt know that they make their own dressing, sauces, and spread. They should also mention that they only use cholesterol-reducing unsaturated oils. I think that is important to tell newcomers. I actually found out after bringing my lunch back to the office and looking at the brochure I took with me. This place has a lot of potential.

The food is healthy, thats for sure, but the salads that my wife and I got were somewhat boring. The ambiance is nice with creative decor, which I liked. The parking is not an issue, but the location is so-so. However, the reason that I am giving this place 3 stars is not because of the food, nor the ambiance, nor the location, but because of a somewhat weird experience we had with one of the staff members. While we were in line this person snapped (not harshly, but snapped nonetheless) at a little girl for leaning on the wall where there was some menu items written in chalk. Completely not necessary in my opinion. I mean come on, its chalk, you can just write it again. And then when this same staff member brought the food to our table he or she noticed that my wife had two apples instead of one on her plate (their fault and not a big deal at all). Instead of just letting us have the extra apple, this person went to grab a paper towel to pick up the extra apple off of my wifes plate. Now I have worked in the food service industry before and this is a huge no-no, not to mention just kind of rude. If the plate touches the guests table then it absolutely DOES NOT GO BACK TO THE KITCHEN! Anyway, this whole experience turned me off to this place. I dont know if Ill go back, but I doubt it.

Just had a light dinner that was healthy and filling in all the right ways! I agree with previous reviews below and Ice Tea. Unsweetened several choice s and wonderful with tha beautiful half roast beef and half Cesear salad. Hubby had a big salad that made him smile. Something Healthy is a great local alternative to good and affordable eating in the city of Monrovia.Its conveniently located next to a 24 Hour Fitness and have ample parking in and around their lot.The menu consists of delicious and hearty sandwiches, wraps, panini sandwiches, and soups. My favorite sandwiches of all is the SUNDRIED TURKEY SANDWICH, which is loaded with a sun-dried tomato spread with avocado, alfalfa, and butter lettuce in between two slices of sourdough bread, I love this sandwich and never get tired of it. If you order a 1/2 sandwich, it usually comes with a side salad.

Theres also a sandwich with a side of sald chips or fruit. Also you can pick from chickian, tri tip, tuna, or vegan chickian as a protein option for that salad and sandwiches. For the sandwiches you can choose whole wheat bread, wrap, panini or gluten free bread.They also have some drinks and deserts you can choose.

Green chairs are uncomfortable. Staff is nice. Many decorarive books line the wall, and many art works that looks like they were made by a homeless person ar2w scattered throughoutThey close at 3:30pm which is beyond weird.
