A home style Korean cooking by chef-owner. A true gem!This gem if a restaurant is run by a chef that really loves authentic Korean food. All of her banchan was refreshingly fresh and entree choices are excellent. If you want to graduate from a run-of-the-mill all you van eat kbbq, this is it!A bit tucked away from other Korean restaurants in the area, but definitely worth checking it out. Clean and tidy restaurant with friendly staff makes your dining experience a pleasure! Thanks

This place has become one of my favorite Korean spots. I used to live in Ktown but recently moved to Downey and so I had to find a whole new set of places to go. This restaurant is at least as good as some of the popular Buena Park spots on Beach Blvd. The neighborhood isnt the best, but I dont mind. Im only here for the food and then Im on my way back.

Pretty authentic korean restaurant frequented by o.g. Koreans :)Tried their haemil zzim (tree garden special). Not cheap but enough portion for 5-6people honestly.The seafood and vegetable quality in the jjim is fresh, the sauce is tasty (adjust spiciness - I recommend regular). I like their side dishes as well - ask for refills :)

Definitely popular with Koreans.I ordered my fave Korean dish black goat stew--3 star for taste & tenderness. Avoid ordering the spicy noodles--subpar taste & texture, missing the flavor kick. Banchan saved the meal.Good experience. Great service. Prices seem to have gone up 35% since 2021.*Check receipt for accuracy!*Maybe casseroles are winners...More flavorful options a short drive away in Garden Grove & Buena Park.

Been here couple times. Great for group, clean and very tasty. On follow up visit with my parents near 90yrs, their opinion were very high with quality of food, service and cleanliness. Staff were bilingual and recommend sharing with non Koreans of ethnic dishes.

I normally dont write reviews and keep it to myself but wow. I have never had such bad nengmyun (cold noodles) in my life here. The broth is rancid, and no amount of vinegar or mustard was able to make the broth palatable. The food here was delicious when it was still the tofu house. Im not sure what the heck happened but I will probably never visit this place again.Hugely dissapointed, I couldnt even finish the food. Will avoid at all cost.

Good Korean food but a bit pricey. I ordered the Beef Short Ribs soup with Octopus. Broth was delicious and the short ribs were ok, but the octopus was very chewy. It felt like chewing on rubber. The extra small side dishes were limited. Be warned, some servers dont speak English well.

Their service is the best Ive seen at Korean restaurant! Very attentive and friendly. 낚지전골(octopus short rib hot pot) is not spicy, but the 낚지돌솥비빔밥(hot pot rice with octopus) was red and pretty good (not too spicy). You can ask them for a hot sauce to make it more spicy.

The place has pretty good side dishes. Fried tofu, spinach, kimchee, green onion kimchee, potato salad, acorn jelly, and korean seafood juhn. The kojijang soup wasnt bad or good, just ok. Thier beef jongul soup wasnt great just medium too. The service there seemed decent too. Going back maybe once every 2 month probably.....

Pretty good soondubu, but I like Kaju better. More menu choices than average, excellent friendly service, and a very authentic feel with the metal chopsticks and spoons in a container on the table just like in the Kdramas! Plenty of seating with no wait time, unlike Kaju. The Korean family I went with loved everything on the menu here. Ill be back!

Korean restaurants are ridiculously expensive, and they use so much seasoning that I feel sick for about 3 days after eating...One day, I followed an acquaintance to this place, and out of suspicion, I tried it out of curiosity... and all of the food was so delicious and full of sincerity. Now, I only recommend this Pine Restaurant to everyone around me.Its clean, friendly, and theres nothing wrong with it after eating.😀👍👍

Today, I enjoyed 🎶Bukbulgogi in Broth🎵 with my relatives. 🦆Its a great place to have a meal with a group, such as family or friends. The restaurant was spacious and had lots of seats, which was nice. The famous restaurant from the former Hwanghae-do restaurant has changed to 🌱Evergreen🌲Pine Restaurant⚘. It was a generous and delicious meal.👍❣

It was a my first time there and I ordered the cold noodle combo.The cold noodle was not the best but average.The beef bulgogi was not good at all. It was very dry and no flavors.I paid $25 for that lunch and not worth it.Naengmyeon came out at $4.99, and I was sorry to order only cold noodles, so I ordered a bulgogi combo, but the bulgogi was completely tasteless. I felt bad while eating. Naengmyeon isnt special, but if you order it for $4.99, youll enjoy it.But I had to pay $25 to get out. Even if the combo is $21, after tax and tip, its over $25.I was in a bad mood, but I came out thinking it was my fault for not looking at the price properly.

(Updated 10/28/23) The owner has changed. They are friendly, but the food is not very good. The side dishes are too sweet, the cold noodles are expensive, and the atmosphere seems like it would be good for sitting for a long time at a class meeting or class reunion. The prices have gone up overall.

Former) Korean restaurant opened in Anaheim under the name Sonamu by the owner of Garden Grove, Hwanghae-do. The taste is good, the service is good, and so is it. In particular, the lunch special, which is the best value for money, is very attractive with impeccable taste and good price. The broth bulgogi and hotpot are both excellent without any flaws. Good with rice too. It is also good as a food to accompany a drink.The old owner of Hwang Hae Do in Garden Grove opened this place.There are delicious food and friendly people. Can eat Yuk-Su Bulgogi and various hotpots on the stove. Especially the price of lunch special was good because I could feel free. I strongly recommend this place.

I am writing this in Korean so that only Koreans can see it.I submitted pork bulgogi and pork cutlet around 8pm last night.I go home and eat1) Chopsticks, napkins, nothing2) The rice was covered in yesterdays stove (I think it was cooked too much) and it was really hard, so I ate it covered in rice cake.3) Food is just so-so4) The pork cutlet is $17, but it is really hard and tasteless.Im never going again.It may not be the right food, but rice is really not that kind of thing.

The pork cutlet is the worst. Dont eat pork cutlet here. Ive tried pork cutlet about 3 months apart, but its too hard and dry, and the meat is too thin, so its the worst for kids to eat. Even though I asked not to deep-fry it when ordering, I threw it away because it was deep-fried and hard. They also left out the pork cutlet sauce and didnt add it. Unlike before, the tripe casserole did not have as much tripe and was not tasty. Not recommended.

Its a restaurant that I go to occasionally, but its so disappointing!Its hard to even eat because the whole body is covered with sweat while eating! In hot weather to save electricity bill ~The serving was done by two housewives, so they didnt care at all, and the amount of beef bulgogi was reduced by half compared to before!So, there was a reason the guests didnt come!I hope you get back to the basics!

It did not disappoint my expectations after a long time at Pine Tree. I ate bossam and broth bulgogi bibim naengmyeon at Perio, and the bossam went fantastically well with the binnaeng. As expected, the side dishes were neat and delicious. It was a different feeling eating the broth bulgogi outside. Anyway, its been a long time since I ate so well and the service was great. After receiving it well, I was able to change my mood from being depressed due to the coronavirus. The side dishes at this place are really amazing.

In general, the side dishes were poor, and above all, it was as if you were ordering from a mechanical man...
