Soup Shop in South Gate

I went during the evening and the place 3qs busy. I stood around for a bit until a girl came and took my name down. I waited about 15 minutes to get seated. There seemed to be some sort of confusion or lack of communication between staff. They were dry and everyone coming in would stand around confused as to how the place works. It was strange. The Jasmin tea tasted like old lady perfume. Never again. The pho was okay. Wouldnt order it again. As for the pros, the wings were tasty.. cooked to perfection. Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. The mango habanero sauce was good too. The cauliflower dish was good as well. It had a unique flavor. Would I go back? Probably not. Maybe their service will get better with time.

I’ve been coming here frequently for over a year and every time i visit i’m more and more disappointed. I absolutely fiennnnd for their fried rice. It’s so good but it seemed more like a soup today with the amount of oil in my plate. I had to stop about halfway because I knew the heart burn and stomach ache was going to be atrocious. A year ago this review would’ve been 5 star one but latley this place has been such a hit or miss.

The food was amazing. 3 out of 4 people in my table got the combination pho and the other was shrimp pho. We added some extra noodle and egg . It was amazing all the orders were good. Although Ive had more beef balls in other locations. It came with half a beef ball. Cut in 2. A little underwhelming because I had way more soup than ingredients. But nevertheless, the soup is good too. I also ordered the hoechata pandan. It was creamy and flavorful. I think I will be back for another option . The restaurants atmosphere was good. The place was busy. On a Thursday night. The service was a little different if I have to say. But overall the experience was nice. Oh also the truffle fries are super good I recommend . The sauce is good.

One of the best foods that you can find in the area. I came in and got the combination and it was very amazing. You don’t have to go to Orange County just come here and enjoy their delicious pho. Definitely recommend it to anyone. The meet is not hard and you can enjoy it and have a good time with anyone.

I love this place and I know today is busy but my eggrolls....came with one and a half! Not even a half but like a bite left. Like...did one get eaten by someone or what happened. And they were old tasting not crispy at all. Disappointed

Love love love it here! This is the best pho Ive had. The beef broth is so rich in flavor and is very refreshing! Fresh bean sprout, veggies and chilies are provided to make the soup tastier. The soup is a bit pricey but it is SO worth it. The portion is big, youll be very satisfied!

HORRIBLE service. So rude and so rushed. I’ve came here a few times and it’s like the customer service gets worse and worse. My last straw was today. My takeout order took forever to be prepared and they gave me a broken lid for my broth so it spilled all over the bag making a huge mess. My egg roll got soggy and my rice was cold. This is my last time coming here, I’ve had enough of the bad service and bad food. I don’t know how this place is still in business.

Seriously the best Pho you will ever have! I wasn’t sure if this place was like the one in Anaheim but they are the same! Everything’s cooked to order and super fresh ingredients. This time I had the truffle oil fries, very tasty. I also had the crab fired rice, which was also very good. Service is very quick and staff very polite. I love this place!

Man, I love pho and I wished this place couldve given me the experience I sorely wanted. We arrived, were seated and waited nearly 15 minutes before my waiter returned(I nearly left due to the inattentiveness), after which it took 5 minutes to order water, then she took my order. Thankfully, food came quickly. I had the filet mignon pho while my partner had the brisket. We LOVED THE PHO, but we did find a hair in it. I informed the staff, but they offered me a free drink(which I declined)- honestly, I wanted a sincere apology and comping the bowl wouldve been the right thing to do. The egg rolls I ordered were unimpressive and the sauce was too sweet. Id go back in a few months in the hopes that I will have a more pleasant experience. BTW, great parking!

My wife and I like to explore to find restaurants near or depends travel to different area and find these restaurants try their cuisine. We travel to South Gate a friend of our recommended this restaurant its a Vietnamese restaurant called Soup Shop. Asian cuisine like Vietnamese,Japanese,Chinese and Korean and other enthic are very popular with Latino enjoying good Asian cuisine but also springing up in Latinos community. The Soup Shop is a very popular with locals and others who come to visit the restaurant.We find a table right away then the waitress hand us a menu the we look what to order my wife decided to order the vegetarian p⁷ho and fried rice then I order the chicken pho and wings for appetizers. They brought the wings with garlic. Thev wings were cook perfectly and the garlic dipping sauce wereDelicious.. My chicken Pho was really good the broth was light and very favorable with spices and other ingredients I really enjoy it. My wife enjoy her Vegetarian pho she say the broth was ready rich flavors. The service was really good we need to comeback soon.
