I recently visited the Whittier location of Soup Shop, a Vietnamese restaurant chain, and had an outstanding dining experience. The seating was comfortable, and the ambiance was delightful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for the meal.I ordered the crispy flavored chicken, which came with rice and a side salad. This dish was fantastic, with the chicken cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. Alongside this, I also tried the egg rolls and garlic fries, both of which were excellent. The egg rolls were crispy and packed with savory fillings, while the garlic fries were perfectly seasoned and addictively tasty.Overall, the food exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend the Soup Shop in Whittier. Whether youre in the mood for a hearty meal or some delicious sides, this restaurant delivers quality and taste in every bite.

Great little Vietnamese soup shop in whittier. They specialize in pho. I got the bone in ribeye pho. It was really good. Broth flavor was so good. The meat was tender and flavorful. It all mixed well. I also tried the house pho and the brisket pho. The house pho was so good. Lots of meat; the meat balls where yummy, the broth was good. The brisket pho was also good. Flavorful, tender meat, yummy broth. We also tried the egg rolls and boa buns. The eggs rolls where ok. We werent a fan of the boa buns. It wasnt that flavorful and the ground meat with the egg wasnt our thing. Actually I felt the ground meat was dry, not so much the egg being in it. I would def recommend this spot for the ribeye pho. If your looking for a beefy meaty soup for the hang over, this is your choice.

We have been to their location in OC. They are highly rated and we made the drive and had a great experience. Well we no longer have to drive for 45 minutes to have legit pho. Now only a couple of miles from home, this is our new Pho home.Service was good and food was yummy. My husband had the ribeye and I had the veggie and tofu. The Thai iced tea was delicious topped of by and edible 🌸…how cute is that?? SO cute. And the little drawer with all the equipment was cool! We will definitely be coming back next time the need for pho arises.

Solid pho place in Whittier. Ordered the combo pho. Came out quickly. Broth was aromatic, flavorful, fatty but not overly so. Tripe was cooked just right and didn’t have that grisly mouthfeel.Also ordered the hot tea which I’m guessing was jasmine green tea. Tea was flowery and bright.Ambiance is nice. Place was clean. Only downside was the restrooms didn’t have toilet paper or seat covers, but was quickly addressed after I mentioned it to the waiter.Service was good. They checked in several times.Price was reasonable especially for the amount of soup they gave.Best part was that it did NOT have a strong cleaning agent smell! So many restaurants are starting to use strong chemicals to clean, but luckily this did not. No smell, yet very clean!Overall would recommend.

Ordered take out.They have the option of vegetable or beef broth, highly recommend the beef broth.We ordered brisket pho and chicken. Broth was HOT do not recommend holding it on your lap. But it was excellent because when we got home, we still had a hot soup for dinner.The ladies working were very nice and attentive. Excited we can pick up pho close to home.Only 4 star because No Spring Rolls. If spring rolls appear on the menu, then I will update my review to 5 stars.Will be back for sure.

The restaurant is very clean and has a fresh atmosphere. The food was freshly cooked, hot and of good quality.... The waitresss attention was excellent 👌 she made us feel welcome and very kind and friendly. Highly recommended place to have a good time and eat delicious 😋

So far, the best pho in the city of Whittier!The broth is full of flavor. It does not compare to the other locations in Whittier.A well served portion of meat and noodles is provided.The service by the staff is amazing. Super friendly and attentive staff. Especially Luke, whom was our waiter tonight.I usually go all the way to Yorba Linda for pho, but I’m glad I found this new pho place close to home.Great place to try out on a chilly night (:Side note: they do not provide the ox pho as advertised in this location. The ox pho is served at the Anaheim location.

Absolutely amazing Pho!!! Im not a fan of pho but this place made me a new lover for pho 😍 the best was the Jasmine Milk Tea, its absolutely delicious! The pho has amazing flavor and the broth is amazing! I slurped that bowl clean 😂 the waiters were very nice and comforting. Im embarrassed wanting to come here everyday lol its amazing 😍 you guys gotta try it! Best pho in Whittier 😊

Nice and cozy restaurant. I ordered takeout and it was delicious. Everything was warm and fresh. Just dont put my fixings bag inside of my bowl. Thats contamination.

The pho here is so good! Definitely worth a five star rating. They offer takeout and outdoor seating. The inside has a wood interior that makes the place feel modern. I highly recommend the chicken pho (it comes with so much meat!), the Thai or jasmine teas, and the crunchy bao. Seriously try the crunchy bao, it is so good! There’s one all gender restroom with a single stall. Free parking is available in front of the restaurant, but beware, it can get really crowded during lunch or dinner times. If you’re using a mobility aid be advised that the door only swings outward and that the tables are close together so it might be difficult to move around.

I seriously don’t recommend coming here. I mean, by all means you can try it. But just be warned, the food is Awful, the food is straight AWFUL. It smelled like cow barn.(This gets even better, keep reading)And by FAR the worst staff, manager and owner I’ve ever encountered in my life. They don’t care about you, they won’t accommodate you, and the staff is extremely undertrained.Terrible smell, bad aftertaste, and probably the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered in my life. I almost puked after the first bite, which has never happened. And this wasn’t just me, this was my entire party of 3.I asked if my friend could have a similar dish since the first one was just.. it was just terrible, they told me sure and began preparing it.It gets better.. keep reading..5 minutes later the waiter comes and says it’s gonna be an extra $7. This is very odd. it’s kinda inconvenient to not like your food, then be told, hey since you don’t like the food, we’ll replace it with a similar dish and then charge you extra, since you didn’t like it. Again.. not about the money.. more like.. uh ???I asked why they would charge us extra, and not accommodate, I mean it really wasn’t a big difference.(Id like to stare that I really don’t look too deep into the details of a restaurant, but this was insane)There are standards for every food establishment. And this one ran its business worse than a fast food restaurant. Fast food restaurants are actually really accommodating, when there’s an inconvenience and it’s never like a back and forth war zone over $7. Taco Bell cares more about its customers than this place, it was quite hilarious.(It gets better)But the service was so bad that I eventually asked for the owner. The manager gave me the phone and I had a 30 Minute phone call with the owner. (30 MINUTES). I was just listening.. and listening.. and man.I was blown away from the insanity of the owner and his mindset on his business, it was 30 minutes of him basically saying, it doesn’t really matter about dissatisfaction of customers, or bad reviews, or reputation. He kept going on how business needs to make money! It’s all about profit! Basically screaming, this restaurant is essentially a cash cow for me, that $7 difference means a lot to me, and I’m willing to be on the phone with you for half an hour, but you’re not getting that dish for same price. (Again, not about the money). This was amazing entertainment, I really wish I recorded it. The owner is a personally for sure.Keep in mind, this man doesn’t mind being on the phone with me for 30 minutes, but is so focused on money that he wouldn’t replace the dish my friend had that tasted terrible. This was about a $7 difference. 30 minutes with the owner. Over replacing a similar dish, because every dollar counts, and it’s a business!Over and over again, he talked about how it’s a business, and every penny counts!’ (Not joking lol)Its important for restaurants to treat their customers well, especially when the food isnt good. Restaurants are in the industry of hospitality. I wont go back and I’ll probably never forget that interaction.It was pretty funny being on the phone for 30 minutes with the owner exaggerating about how money rules everything around him.This was more entertainment than annoyance.Again, don’t come. You wont like the food, but you might be entertained by a phone call with the owner. He’s a personality.

Ordered 2 brisket Pho yesterday. Instead of brisket all my pieces were nothing but fat with a sliver of meat. Where is the meat? Im disappointed because I really love this place and try to support the business.

Only got take out but the service was great on that alone. Hands down the best pho Ive had in a long time, but if Im being honest, the bao is why Im definitely coming back... SO GOOD
