Top notch sushi. Not overly expensive. Also there is an all u can eat option + buy one beer get the next one for .99¢
I always wanted to try this spot out because me and my wife love sushi. So we gave it a go because it was all you can eat. So they have a pretty big selection of items to choose from. The price seemed acceptable for what was being offered. But the quality was just average. The speed of service was also average at best. We spent about an hour and a half and did get full. The parking lot is small and can hold maybe 10-15 vehicles. We didnt have to wait but we only could be seated immediately if we ate at the bar. My final conclusion is that I wont be returning because I felt it was nothing special other than you get quantity over quality.
Waitress felt the need to discriminate as soon as we walked in she took one look at us and said @no more all you can eat” mind you we were there for one sushi roll and a salad, the worst part was when the second average looking couple came in she did not say that to them. Sushi was good but the waitress was cruel and hurtful.
Do not eat here. The website says they are open but they were closed which is very misleading and they didn’t have a phone number to call to confirm if they were open or not.
One of my favorite go to spots in garden grove! Im glad they finally allow dine in again, even though theyre currently not all you can eat, it still tastes amazing! This time youre able to bring the food home!I believe they also increase the fish to rice ratio since its a la carte now. Come by early because the parking spot is small, so make sure you carpool!
Great place for sushi in Anaheim/Garden Grove area. They have patio seating which is great during the pandemic. Plenty of space between tables. And most importantly their menu is to die for. Hands down the best selection for sushi rolls. LOVED the tiger lobster and soomi roll!
We came to this establishment for a team dinner for 30. The location doesn’t accommodate for large parties very well and they are not organized for splitting multiple checks.During our time one member in our party was not ordering and the manager made it a point target our table to ensure that he didn’t eat anything from another persons plate. To the point of having all her wait staff rotate on checking.In the shuffle of all the commotion being caused by the manager for the one person, multiple orders where missed, incorrect and at the end they were asking who was paying for drinks after all the parents had already paid for their food and what they thought were there children’s orders. Even to the extent of add a beer to the drinks that they claimed were for the children’s table. Not ok!At the end of our time the Owner came to my table and I greeted him with much respect and started to explain my disappointment with the service. Without letting me speak he interrupted me and told me that my food was free and never to come back again.Overall our group spent $500+ dollars on mediocre sushi, cold and like warm dishes and unwelcoming customer service.Never will return, not because of the owner. Worst out of town foodie experience ever!
The staff are super nice and the service is good. However, if you really like sushi skip this place. Almost the entire menu is very similar. They have over 50 rolls and we had a tough time getting variety. Its mostly crab meat, tempura, salmon, and spicy tuna. Obviously there is other stuff but it will feel like youre eating the same thing over and over. We had 10 rolls and none of them was memorable. Im not from OC, so it might be that the people here like fried rolls more than other but there were more hot rolls than fresh rolls.
No its not the best sushi in the world but its very serviceable for the price and anything less then five stars hurts their average which I dont want to do. The restroom is in serious need of a renovation but that is harshest criticism I can give. The interior could also use reno but its not terrible but its clean for the most part which is very important to me when Im having sushi.
Amazing sushi rolls, high quality sushi here and one that I can trust. I think their all you can eat is not a special anymore but I don’t care, I still come and pay for their sushi because it’s worth it!
Went here with a dear friend. First time trying sushi or shrimp that wasnt in fried rice. Gotta say the experience has me craving for more in the near future. Wether its back here or elsewhere. Im going to be more open minded to seafood.The service was great. The two waitresses covering our table while there were very helpful for this first time sushi eater.Plenty of parking when I went there.Got busy towards the end. But for the most part it was very open. Not many patrons from 130 to 530 when I was there.Will consider returning to try the other fishes. Only went with the fish I knew. Salmon roll.
This is an ayce sushi place that had some really creative rolls. I started with tuna and eel sushi. The rice was really nice and the tuna was fresh and tender. The pieces were huge! The eel was incredible. Nice big thick pieces perfectly prepped. Other highlights were the baked lobster roll, firecracker roll, baked salmon roll and the lobster killer roll. Another offering of note was the spicy rainbow roll with spicy tuna replacing the usual Cali roll they also have a great beer special buy one and the second beer is $0.99 all day long!
The service here isn’t great, it took 20-30 mins to get my food when other tables around us got their orders first. Food is good but I think the bad service would make me not come back. My family and I witness this and will be sure to spread the word on the service we received.
Really loved sushi until now. Soyokaze was the best @ one point, like 10 years ago literally, thats how long Ive been going there. On my last visit, lastnight my first roll was delicious, the other 5 after werent. In fact its 450 am at moment and woke up barfing with cold sweats, and yes Im blaming the sushi, as I was eating something didnt feel right, I should have gone with my instinct. Now Im calling off work because I cant go feeling like this. I really loved sushi and this place really turned me off for a long time. FOOD POISONING.
Undoubtedly one of the worst sushi places in OC. Fish didnt taste fresh and the cooked stuff was way overcooked. Service wasnt good either; a bunch of forgotten orders. To be completely honest, its vomit-inducing. I fully expect to get food poisoning and/or worms in my body. Huge rip-off for $25.
Ive gone about two times now and Ive got to say the sushi there is amazing. The location is pretty small, but the times Ive gone Ive had great service. Not going to lie. Its a bit pricey, so I recommend going during lunch.
I would give this place negative 5 stars if I could.I go here all the time, every time has been pleasant.They served us rotten salmon skin, and when I told them that we lost our appetite after eating that, they still wanted to charge for the whole ayce price.The salmon skin was the appetizer, folks.These people had excuses after excuses on why they had to charge us even though after eating rotten food. They said we ordered the others and had to pay for what we couldnt eat. Mind you, this was the first tier of ordering.Once you experience bad sushi, how are you expected to continue eating without thinking about the concequences.Last time EVER at this place. Sad, really.

All you can eat sushi! Pretty worth it since im a big guy and my girl loves sushi. Wait time isnt terrible and servers are friendly. My favorite is the dragon because of the eel and she loves the lobster killer.
After a long wait for only half of the food we wanted, we received another tables food. After we informed our waitress that this was not the food we ordered, she then took that roll to its intended tables. The roll had obviously came with a second roll, which we are thinking it was ours before realizing no one order the other roll. I cant believe that she offered an obviously disturbed and touched roll to another table. The following 2 rounds consisted of us reordering rolls that never made it to our table and fending off other tables rolls. What really set the atmosphere was the pilot of the new show Blood Drive on the TVs in the dinning area. Nothing like graphic gore and sex scenes to go with other tables sushi, all followed by a water show from a pitcher of water on one of our table members by the waitress. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Meh not the best ayce sushi out there. I ordered 15 different sushi dishes and i received around 11 with 2 orders similar to each other. Some fishes are not fresh. The rice is a bit dry and sour (probably too much vinegar). The salmon skin salad is a meh as well. Burnt skins, crispy black.... My first time seeing a sushi chef wearing glove to make sushi.
The place was extremely noisy and the workers of this establishment did nothing to lower the noise level. They played inappropriate television shows on the tv that made it rather difficult to want to eat due to the gruesome content. The waiters would not bring out all the ordered food and consistently mixed up our orders with other tables and tried to serve the half-eaten sushi to the proper customer. I will never come back to this establishment again.
I love this place. The service is great and the staff is amazing. The menu is pretty standard for a sushi place as is the price. Come here if you wanna feel welcomed.
Number 1 Sushi Restaurant in OC/LA area!Being a connoisseur of sushi & sashimi I can tell you this place has the best quality & largest cuts of fish. Youll be amazed at the proportions of fish to rice, its what everyone dreams of! These pictures dont do it justice, each piece of fish can become 2 large bites to the little knuckle worth of rice. This has been our regular spot after our conference once a month on Saturdays. They have a great AYCE and they work hard to serve us. We always have a party of 15-20 and they have accommodated considering how small the restaurant is. Definitely a great place to come :)
This place rocks! Good quality sushi sliced in HUGE portions. Full menu for all you can eat is like $24 or something for dinner. The only thing I dont suggest here are the oysters....
Hidden gem in Orange County. They provide so much fish and so little rice for the plate. The price is reasonable, and everyone is super friendly. Come here, you won’t regret it.
Came on Sunday Night to celebrate party of 10, was asked to add our name to the clipboard outside. After 45 mins of waiting outside on the cold (they did turn warmers on after we asked) a hostess came out to tell us that it would be another 45 mins til we could get in. At that time we asked if we could be seated separately. After 20 mins more we were seated.. during that time we had already selected our food from the AYCE menu so we could be ready, our drink order was take after sitting for 20 mins. Then the server forgot half the drinks. He asked if we want to order and we handed him the selection sheet for the AYCE, and asked if it would be possible to see menu for the 5 not doing the AYCE, he said sure and took the paper with our food selection that normally goes to the chef, and crumbled and put in trash, then came back to bring menus and said can you fill AYCE menu selection as he lost ours and we told him you just crumbled it up and threw it away.. he seemed so dazed. So we did it again and asked if we could get the rest of our drinks, he said oh yeah and left. Anther server brought part of the non AYCE food and we asked for the drinks and finally they came .. the rest of the night continued like this.. and we then were charged a automatic 17% ($35) tip for party over 6 even though we could not sit together and the service was so bad we laughed. Would have given 1 star but the food was amazing!

Excellent got the Lunch buffet to go, that actually is a Bento but it was really magnificent, got my favorites like chicken katsu, assorted tempura, fantastic spicy tuna rolls, rice, miso soup and salad, and the price was very accesible for the amount of good, try to them, you wont regret it!!!

The quality and freshness of the fish was outstanding, and the attention to detail in the presentation was impressive. The sushi rolls were creative and delicious - I especially loved the spicy tuna crispy rice and the dragon roll. The staff were also very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. It is very delicious. Im only giving it a 4-star for now because Ive only tried it once via take-out so far so I dont think that is enough visits to give a full review, but am excited to go back many more times and try the rest of the menu and potentially give it 5 stars if it lives up to the hype.We tried the Cajun Salmon Roll, which Ive never seen at a sushi place before, and it is so good! Its perfect if you like spicy food because it has jalapeno and sriracha on it. Spicy is my jam so I was all about it.Im very excited to go back several more times and try other rolls soon!

2019-03-24 03:29:35Had a hankering for AYCE sushi and this spot was nearby. Parking was good because we came on a Saturday evening and the overflow parking lot at the neighboring place was available. The variety of different rolls is definitely here! Love the cajun sushi, it had this gorgeous smokiness that was delicious. The superman burrito and green dragon were well made, flavorful and just different enough. The citrus roll was lemony and bright. All in all a positive experience with attentive waiters, good seating and very good sushi.

Their hand rolls are delicious and the sushi rolls are very tasty and well done. I recommend you try the Chef special every time you go and the Oysters if they are in season you won’t regret it. Itadakimasu!

Servers are so nice and helpful for suggesting which option is best for us. Romantic and cozy place. They have indoor and outdoor options. Plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant. Price is quite decent for the quality of food & service you receive.

2022-11-29 01:54:16I got takeout sushi so I didnt get to experience it perfectly fresh in the restaurant but I did get to eat it within a few hours and wow, let me tell you.. that salmon tasted FRESH AF, and their rice is bomb all on its own! Nice and flavorful. 10/10, eat here. Also, the waitress who gave me my order was really nice with a smile on her face so that was pleasant.

2018-10-03 04:02:36The sushi here was average. We did the AYCE and ordered a bunch of different things. One thing I noticed was that the fish slices were HUGE, and I dont mean that as a good thing. The rice wasnt that good, kinda just falls apart. Fish isnt that fresh but acceptable.

Now that its not anymore I still come cause I really enjoy the rolls, but $20 almost a roll and the seafood isnt fresh? Come on, I felt stupid to pay your prices with good fish when everything changed. But tonight paying your prices with old fish that tasted just wrong? Naw I wont be back. Thanks for the good times when that would never happen. I should of just gotten gas. (Second food review Ive ever written) 🤦♀️

2022-07-06 18:01:59Pretty empty. Parking is in back. Restroom is in back parking lot. Upon greeting we took wrist temp. Notice the next couple didnt and she still allowed them in. So why have the machine if your not consistent? Rice was really not sticky with the sushi therefore it crumbled fast. The cuts were uneven some were large vs small. The meat seemed fresh no issues. The variety is a spin of tradition with their own twist. Vs others are as you order everywhere. We will return they also have lunch specials and dinner combos. Friendly service. Small quaint.
