2023-11-20 17:17:19Delicious Asian food, great if you like rice and are craving for the optional spicy taste. The self-service free lemon water is good. The pork dish had the right crunch to it. The chili was good. The side vegetables balanced the taste. Our soup had tofu in it, it was mild until you add the chili oil or the chili seeds. Restroom was wide and clean down the hall. Staff was attentive and approachable for requests like take away plastic, extra bowl, or spoon and fork. Besides the mural, they decorated for the season too, it was a nice touch.

2023-09-21 21:19:22It was our first time dining at the restaurant. Very nice interior with high ceilings and a beautiful mural painting of Thailand, Laos and surrounding countries. We were invited to place our order at the register and pay prior to taking our number stand to an avaliable table. Iced water was self-serve on the counter near the register. We ordered the kapoon, kasoy, and the pork belly combo with sticky rice and sauce. We added an extra order of sticky rice. The portions were quite large for the prices listed on the digital screens above the cash register. Each dish was packed with flavor and we found that they were very unique to this restaurant. The kasoy had a generous portion of crispy pork belly as one of the toppings. The sauce that came with the pork belly combo was a perfect blend of sweet and salty. The kapoon came with a cute little metal cup filled with mint and whole dried Chili Peppers. We will definitely come back again to try other items in the menu.

2023-06-11 23:55:01Great little Lao spot near Concord / Walnut Creek. We were passing by and craving some Bahn Mi sandwiches so we stopped here. Both the Lao sausage and the bbq pork ones were really tasty. We also ordered the drunken noodles and the papaya salad to go with our meal.I like that this place has lots of seating options and service is counter casual style so order/pay before sitting down. All in all worth the visit!

2023-09-03 21:12:52Best ever, I love the mural on their wall. Great ambience, plenty of parking (even though we came on the weekend), good service, super duper funny staff, not an insane line to order. Pretty fast and pretty tasty. I’m be back!

2023-05-14 00:48:22Plenty of folks come here and are satisfied with this flavorful cuisine. The family that works here puts in a lot of effort and it shows. The prices are fair even in these days of inflation and uncertainty. The bánh mì I ordered was very delightful. If you are a fan of sausages, definitely try at least once the Lao sausage. They have great soups that can brighten any rainy day! I particularly enjoyed the Khaosoi Luangprabang/Minced Pork (that chopped up pork belly was perfectly done)I liked the art on the inside and found the hustle and bustle to me calming. I’m sure I’ll return!

2022-11-12 02:17:32Wow this place is a must visit for yummy and authentic Lao food. I would order everything we got again. The crispy pork belly and sausages was a perfect bite every time I ate it with the sticky rice dipped in the jeo. The banh mi is my favorite, the tofu tastes smoked or charred, I’ve never had anything like it. The grilled chicken was just as good! I’d recommend taking home at least 2 spicy pork rinds because they are bound to be eaten all in the car ride alone. The lemonades was perfectly sweet and refreshing. And to complete the meal, we had Noelle’s perfectly made coconut desserts. I forget the name, it’s coconut layers that are as pretty as they taste.

2022-07-15 20:29:10Best banh mi I have ever had. And I have had them from some of the legendary spots in San Jose for 17 years.Crusty bread on the outside, warm n soft on the inside. Vegetables marinated to perfection and super cold, contrasted with the meat which was likewise perfectly marinated and temperature hot.See the pics I attached. I ordered Xtra meat for a small charge. Well worth it. Ive had both the BBQ pork sandwich and the chicken. I cant say one was better than the other, so next time Im getting a half of each banh mi mixed together.I asked for a soy sauce to douse it and they gave me a nice bottle with dispenser top instead of a plastic packet.Restaurant is impeccably clean, incl what I would describe as luxury hotel restrooms and sinks. And the employees are beyond super polite. The shiz!
