Classic Italian style deli with counter service. The sandwiches are piled high with excellent filling the meat and cheese is top-notch they must have 30 different side salads to go with your lunch all for a very reasonable price! Not to be missed.

Local sweet spot for sandwiches and side dishes. Ive been missing out on this deli gem for years living in chico. But better late than never. They will always be there to serve you quality and fresh sandwiches. You can choose between sliced or a roll bread with options of type of breading. Go grab yourself one instead of subway etc. You wont regret.

My first visit here today. What a delightful little oasis this is. The offerings are extensive and as fresh as can be, I’m so happy my daughter and her work mates turned me onto this place. I will definitely be back and the outdoor dining is a wonderful addition.

Ive been back in Chico for almost a year now, after a 27 year absence. Spiteris may be under new ownership (at least since Ive been gone), but the food, atmosphere, and service are still amazing! I had a 3 meat on an onion roll, girlfriend had hot pastrami on sourdough, kid had the lasagna, and mom-in-law had clam chowder. Everything was awesome! All of the salads in the case looked fresh and appetizing. They even have the GOOD ice! Well be back. Nichole and her crew are honoring Franks legacy by doing what he always did best: serve great food at a reasonable price.

What a fantastic deli! The moment we opened the front door the smell of fresh veggies slapped us right in the face. The menu is easy to understand and really straightforward; pick your meat, cheese, bread, and condiments. The chip selection is vast and they also have a whole bunch of other side dishes that you can order if you aren’t feeling the chips. Fountain drinks are self-serve, but the beer is not (for obvious reason).I ended up ordering a turkey and ham on wheat with pepper jack. The sandwich was absolutely to die for. Remember the fresh ingredients I mentioned at the beginning of my review? The meat, the cheese, and the veggies were all perfect. I came in assuming that they would skimp on the meat, like so many other sandwich shops, so I ordered two meats. I wouldn’t really call it a mistake, because I was delighted, but they put more than enough meat on their sandwiches so ordering the second meat wasn’t really necessary. The meat and cheese were both so flavorful and the lettuce had the perfect crunch; the lettuce was also shredded, which I prefer on my sandwiches.My kids got the tuna on wheat with provolone and absolutely destroyed it. They said that the tuna was really good. They also ordered sides of the bacon mac & cheese and it was phenomenal. I’m pretty sure I actually ended up eating the majority of the mac myself because it was that good.I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a killer sandwich in the Chico area.

Spiteris is AWESOME! Their sandwiches and customizable and SOO GOOD! Yesterday was my 1st time there & I Ordered a customized Pepper jack pastrami concoction and it was FANTASTIC!The sandwichs are Big! And Stacked with ingredients! I got a whole and I could only eat half- I saved the rest for dinner and it was even better because all of the sauce soaked in.The owner is Super nice!! She works harder than anyone there- her passion is unmatched 😊I DEFINITELY recommend Spiteris for your deli cravings! & They dont only have Sammys, they have all kinds of sides and fresh eats as well!

Wonderful little deli. I heard Spiteris has the best sandwiches in town and had to check it out. The food was delicious and a lot cheaper than expected. Our experience was very pleasant and we will definitely be going back.

Best sandwiches around and for a great price. If you like dill pickles, you have to try the dill pickle pasta salad, amazing!! You definitely wont be disappointed with your food or service here. Only caution is, if you go during any normal lunch times it is packed so just be prepared.

Went back after being away for several years. Everyone making sandwiches were using dirty communal pens and order pads, not washing their hands afterwards, not using gloves when contacting food, and one person had a grimy exposed band aid on her hand, also with no gloves on. Absolutely vile.

Its has wonderful outside seating with plenty of room between the tables--and this is true of the actual indoor dining room as well. Its very clean and the service was excellent--upbeat and cheerful. And the menu has a vast array of meats, cheeses, breads, AND side dishes such as macaroni salad, different pasta and potatoe salads, and many other types of cold salads. And hey, who deosnt love a deli that offers a meatball sandwhich?!
