Wow. Never would have I thought I’d find great Korean food in Chula Vista.We were warmly greeted and welcomed by Nick, who was so friendly. He told us we could sit wherever we wanted.The inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean. There’s a pool table and tv playing music. My dad would’ve appreciated the 80’s hits being played. There’s also a full bar.We ordered our food through a QR code. Our selections were; bulgogi fries (my favorite), Ramen with bulgogi and an egg, and chicken bibimbap bowl for my husband.The bulgogi on the French fries were marinated soooo good. I loved the flavor. The sauce topped on it was fire too. The fries were cooked to crisp perfection.At first, I thought the ramen was ok. It came out piping how and was steaming until the end of our dinner.But I took it home for leftovers and it was a great decision. The bulgogi was tender and the flavors aren’t too salty.The bibimbap bowl was a great choice for my husband. He cleaned that bowl up.Whenever we’re craving Korean food again, we’ll come to Spoon House :)

I am local to the area and I just got to say that this spot is a nice little hidden gem. There are not too many options on third avenue and I am happy I have this spot a chance. Delicious Korean food made fresh. The owner is an older Korean woman who makes the food herself. Our waiter was very nice and provided excellent service as well. Also, they have a full bar and serve cocktails. The Kimchi fried rice was one of my faves. I recommend using their sauces, especially their hot sauce.

Only spot that can make this dish authentically in Southbay, they had a pool table and it was disappointing that I wasn’t able to bring a partner with me because it looked like it wanted to be played 😀 jukebox is touch tunes, appreciate that cause that means my tokens from all the other places that have it also can be used here. Really clean and the staff was exceptional with their service. Surprised I didn’t see anyone come in while I ate. The recipes here are too good to be this underground.

I’d definitely return for the soju cocktail I had. Food wise - I definitely have had better Korean bar food in SD. It’s tasty, but did not hit.

This is such a cute little place! I’ve passed it many times and never noticed it before but today the word “Korean” popped out at me as I’m really into K-Pop Culture now and K-Dramas on Netflix so I have been attempting to try all sorts of dishes I see on my K-Drama shows and was excited to find they had a lot of the dishes! I’ve been dying to try like tteokbokki…. And the Korean chicken It was scrumptious and everything I ordered was really tasty 😋 I’m so glad I found this place I got tired of eating at the same old K-bbq food places it’s so boring and this is authentic cooking by a real Korean Chef! Authentic cuisine… I only wish they put something more noticeable like a Korean flag or something because I never saw it before and passed by billions of times. I’m going to Seoul Korea in March next year only 4 months from now and I can’t wait!!! I’ll let you know if I still think this is the best Korean restaurant around here, until then go give it a try!…..🙏🏼. 👋🏼

After driving by so frequently, I decided to stop in. The food was so rich and delicious. I really enjoyed and would recommend the rice cake/fish cake appetizer and the ramen. (I got it not spicy, but you can order spicy) The broth of the ramen was really savory!Also, a full bar is a bonus. We had the margarita and the Paloma. Hopefully, they can, in the future, further expand a possible cocktail menu?? Just a thought😋

Stumbled upon this place by accident. We were looking for a spot to watch the padres v dodgers game and nowhere was available so we decided to give it a shot.It was pretty darn delicious. Food was savory and fresh. Service was attentive and friendly. Definitely going back and bringing my crowd!Thanks for a great experience.

The food is worth any wait this place has. It has a lot of flavor that is strong and genuine to Korean cooking. The service was great too. I recommend eating there not just once, not twice, but at least three times.

I ordered a rice based dish, and I dont like rice that much. I would order something else next time. The service was great. The lady (owner?) added the sauces and mixed it for me. 😊

We had a delicious dinner at this new Korean restaurant we ordered the Sundubu Jjigae - Hot Stone Soup and the Spicy Pork Plate.The staff has great at the food recommendations. I am just starting to venture into Korean Cuisine, and this experience will definitely have me coming back to try more items off their menu. 🥰

Was told order will be ready 20 minutes from order but waited for 40 even though only two tables were seated in the restaurant. Despite that the food is excellent and this is a valuable addition to downtown Chula. The food is amazing.

Staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. My dining companion did not care for the bulgogi fries (has American cheese on them??) but I had the Soondubu Jjigae which was very flavorful and delicious 😋 The chicken wings were perfectly crispy.

Monica has this restaurant with great food and great happy hour prices. The restaurant is nice, clean, and spacious. This is the spot for great dining, great happy hour and fun vibe. Just check it out for yourself.

Very cool spot! Best wings and pot-stickers (they call them dumplings) Ive had in San Diego in a long time! Decent Margarita and Mule, especially for the price. Fun Soju cocktails.The owner is Korean and allegedly also the main chef. The space is kind of plain, so maybe not a place that would come to mind for a celebration, but for a casual meal, it checks all the boxes.Very attentive, kind, and welcoming waiter who doubled as bartender. Will definitely be returning.

First time here, but we’ve heard all the buzz about Spoon House so we had to retry it out. It’s located on Third and F in Chula Vista. We tried the Galbi and Spicy Fried Korean Chicken. They offered us three free sides (kimchi, cucumbers and spinach). When I put the spinach in my mouth, I was taken back to Dong Yang in Wahiawa, HI. “Ahhh,” I thought, “I gave a good feeling about this place.” All of the sides were good. The Galbi was plump, juicy and it had a little sweetness to it. Yum! The fried chicken was god, but I preferred to have the homemade hot sauce on the side. The server, Esteban, was also the bartender. Fantastic guy! When you come here, be patient because it’s just the owner who cooks and Esteban at the front. Parking is free after 6pm. Come early because the parking gets filled up fast.4-4-23: We came back tonight to try the ramen. GinaBee had the Ramen with boiled egg and Bulgogi and I had the Ramen with boiled egg and Chicken. We chose mild flavor but it still had a little kick. We liked it! The gentleman remembered us from our last visit. Very hospitable. Comfortable and quiet place.

Walked past this place multiple times and finally sent my dad in because he was wanting ramen. He has done nothing but rave about it and returned again.I had dinner that same night and the wings and dumplings were on point. But....her (the chef) hot sauce is absolutely 🔥. I wanted a bottle to go but no luck. Guess that means Ill have to go back . My friend also had ramen and said the broth is delicious.The gentleman who took care of us was Esteban....te agradesco.A must try.

This place was delicious, me and my father thought the food was gonna be a little disappointing but when we tried the food we were immediately humbled.The food was astonishing. We were surprised on how amazing the food was but barely any people. The lady in the cash register was super nice a helpful. I will certainly comeback for more😁👍

The food might be good but the vibe is off. The lighting is very bright and it feels as if you are on display to people walking by. They would benefit from different levels of lighting and maybe adding some textured elements to the walls. The concept for food is comfort but the atmosphere feels sterile. Overall it is not very welcoming.

Excellent food!!!! My daughter and I ordered the Spicy Ramen and it was superb! Ive had ramen all over the world being in the Navy and this was absolutely outstanding.Esteban and his Customer service were excellent, warm and friendly, the food amazing, and the vibe was chill. We will most definitely be coming back weekly after BJJ!

Save the trip to Convoy. This is such a great place for homemade Korean food. Every dish was delicious and with it came some of the warmest customer service one can offer. A solid 10/10.

Just had take-out (pindaetteok), but it was very tasty. Friendly staff. Will go back to try other dishes. Havent tried their cocktails.We only ordered (pindaetteok) to go, but it was delicious and interesting. The staff was friendly. We will return another day to try more dishes.
