They run this place old school, but that’s what makes it great. Amazing course and worth the alumni association fee. Wish the pro shop had more items.Of course they have some great practice areas also.

Great old design of George Thomas and Billy Bell. Very well routed, bunkering is representative but comes off a bit repetitive at times as homogenous style.A routing gem not to be missed, but not open to the public. Finish is very strong.

Very professional, clean, very professionally maintained course. Tasty menu in restaurant and bar. Pro shop well equipped and friendly. Lots of parking.

To the man who was patrolling the entrance on April 29th at noon: I came to Stanford as a prospective CS MBA student after a successful career as a tech executive in Mexico. When you ask someone what country theyre from, your response should never be Im sorry to hear that, as if you knew me enough to make such a terrible joke. Over 1800 students that attend Stanford are Latino, and Im sure you would never make that sort of racist comment to them if they were of white heritage. Its a shame you were the first person I encountered, but thankfully, today was admissions weekend, and I saw the brilliant minds who will soon run that campus coming from all walks of life. I understand your comment reflects an insecurity you have and a complete ignorance of Mexican culture. I look forward to submitting my application and adding to the Latino student body, so youll have to see my face every weekend. I, on the other hand, am very inclusive and invite you to come visit our beautiful PGA golf courses so you can see that Mexico is a beautiful country with a lot of heart and one hell of a handicap.

Lovely course, very well maintained, tight and unforgiving of the wayward shot due to thick fescue grass... Accuracy more important than distance!

Really enjoyed the layout and conditioning. Course knowledge is helpful as trees unexpectedly create angle problems on approach. Greens are generally flat and not tricked up.

They gave free water in one part of it. Good golf course that isn’t overly exclusive. However I am upset that the water being used for it does not ever go into lake Lagunita which would be better for the commmunity than a golf course.

Hole number 9 was still closed and replaced by a temporary par 3 at the end, however, maintenance work is almost done.

Great course and superb, conscientious staff! There are marshals who actually want to speed up play. However, be prepared, a majority of the golfers walk and if you are in a cart, more often than not, the marshal is the one who has to ask groups to let those behind play through.

Stanford golf course plays beautifully, especially in the early spring when not only the course is green but the surrounding hills. The course is impeccably maintained and has a good deal of variety, both in the fairways and approaches. The sand is lovely enough that you might not even mind playing from it. One small criticism: there is not much water on the course and what is out there comes inconsistently from water fountains with old pipes.

Despite of the course-wide renovation, the greens are in great shape (but slower than usual) and still tough to score. Look forward to come back after the renovation is complete.

Beautiful, challenging golf course. Its hard to believe youre in the middle of Silicon Valley when youre out there. On a clear day, you can see San Francisco from the 18th tee.Greens are fast (much faster than local munis) and challenging. Back nine is hilly, get a pull cart if youre walking. Course is challenging but fair, and accessible if you put your tee shots in the right locations.

I am.not a golfer, but if I were (and I have played a couple of courses), I would definitely play the Stanford golf course with its long winding fairways, surrounded by the hills of the Santa Cruz mountains. The Coupa Cafe and bar and restaurant are also well worth a visit, reasonably priced very friendly, excellent service.

Great condition. Classic layout. A few awkward holes (back to back par 3s) due to re-routing many years ago. No frills clubhouse. Cool to see Tiger/Tom Watson memorabilia.

I am honored to be able to hit the ball on this schools golf course. The fairway is very wide and well maintained. However, I happened to encounter a few holes that were being repaired, so I had to take a detour and it was not smooth to play. $125
