State of Mind Public House and Pizzeria in Redwood City

Our group of 8 arrived at 5.45pm, just in time to catch their happy hour. also ordered 3 pizzas, french fries, onion rings, naked wings, & camembert cheese. everything was oh-so-yummy! especially the grandmas pie! loved the array of dips that came with the naked wings too! 😋

The place had awesome vibe... live music going around.. food was good. Had the cheese pizza, jalapeno cheese balls, dirty fries and shishito peppers. Had beer with it.. too full. Also the moon was fabulous today. Full moon. Service was great.

I’ve been to the Los Altos location before but this was my first time at the redwood city one. The atmosphere is modern and charming, perfect to grab a slice with some friends!! We tried the peach burratta and were thrilled with the flavor explosion of the peach combined with the warm bread, basil, and creamy mozzarella. We also loved the grandmas pizza. Our family generally opts for thin crust but this had to make an exception. The employees were all really friendly and attentive. Our waitress was named Ada and she did a great job checking in on us and telling us her recommendations!! Would definitely come back.

I love that there are Pac-Man machines. I thought there used to be more arcade games here. The pizza is amazing! I also love checking out the beer rotations on tap and in the fridge. Tonight I tried the Alvarado Street canned sour beer (like drinking a sorbet! Yum!) because they were out of the cider on tap.I believe order ahead is through door dash but you can also call the restaurant to place an order for pickup.All of the staff have always treated me kindly and with patience (sometimes it is hard to decide!) Overall, I choose this place over Dominos or Pizza Hut any day!

Found state of mind a couple months back and fell in love with it immediately. I had the chicken sandwiches (all) and a couple weeks ago tried the pizza. This pizza is one of the Best i have ever had. The crust is amazing itself! They also have some great beers on tap 🤤🤤🤤

I walked over for the lunch special. I asked one of the employees about their lunch special and she recommended it. As she was doing her job and cleaning tables I walked in. I waited at the counter and no one came for a while. It looked like a manager was sitting close by at a table but didn’t acknowledge me. The employee came back and quickly helped me. She was very kind and helpful. The food was great and her service was top notch I just wish the rest of the employees were as helpful. I recommend you check out their lunch special!

Great new pizza spot. Place was hopping on a Friday night. The pizzas were great and very filling. 5 adults easily put down 2.5 of them and then were quite full. We got there about 6 and there was already a short line. Like another reviewer, I was so excited about the pizza I forgot to take a photo before we started eating. I’ll be back to try more things and especially the fried chicken sandwiches.

I happened to stop here as another place I like had a private party going on. What a stroke of luck to discover this place a couple doors down. I had the Shroom pizza and a Pliny. Very fresh pizza, crust just right.Did not care for the bar stools that much, but that is not a deal breaker. Several large screen TVs to watch sports or whatever. Friendly staff. I will be back!

Wanted to give a 3.5/5I was really excited to try this place out as the distance was just about 5 minutes away from our lodging. My wife and I are from Virginia and we quite often eat at many local mom & pop pizza especially when we go to New York. We ordered the insomniac pizza 14 inch medium ($23), 12 pieces of naked wings no sauce ($17), an iced tea $3.25, overall we paid a grand total of $53 tax and tip included. I think the price is ludicrous especially since its a self service restaurant. You order from the counter and they bring you the food, if you need extra stuff youll need to go back to the counter, the same as if you have bottomless drinks. The pizza was great but we noticed that after a 2nd piece, it got a bit boring and the taste was getting dull. The chicken wings lacked flavor, wish it had more spice. The ranch I think was homemade so that was great. Staff was friendly, large size TVs for sports, there were really cool bobbleheads displayed and interactive arcade machines that you have to pay for (they could have made it free for already paying customers) but money is money.

Pizza lives up to its award winning status. Generous amount of toppings, great chew and flavor, thinner crust adds up to great pizza. Chicken sandwich also very good. The breast meat was super moist. Breading very tasty. Staff is really friendly. Great place.
