This is the most well stocked, clean, and organized grocery store I have ever been in. I was here two weeks ago and wanted to take photos but I had left my phone it the car. I was back again today and managed to take a few pictures. This is an awe place in the middle of the desert.

Normally good store, very well stocked. Picked up a rotisserie chicken and it was rotted and it was apparently cooked today at 2:55pm. Such a waste of money won’t be trusting their service deli again.

Usually has great selection but not the best prices for what your getting. Definitely love coming here for produce, and meat selection. I like that they have Crispy Cream doughnuts! Also they have a lot of baked goods that are wonderful but they do go bad rather quickly.

Visiting from Europe we were in the search for fresh fruits to eat instead of a burger 😍 we found Stater Bros Markets by chance vai Google maps - Stunning an epic and clean and super highly furnished in diversity supermarket with exceptionally fresh fruits and veg and broad choice of organic food - the young woman at the cashier was so nice and picked the apples with such a grace that left me emotional - never had such grace and kindness in a super big supermarket thank you for the grace and kindness it made my day 😆

Ive order your Thanksgiving dinner for many years. This year Im very disappointed that youd be serving turkey loaf roll instead of real Turkey. It looked nasty. And $22 for that dinner was ridiculous.

Our neighborhood grocery store. They always have everything we need when we go. Rarely of ever out of stock. They have firewood and large bags of ice. They have a good selection of alcohol and beer. Super cute holiday selection of alcohol. The bakery and deli is great too.

Has just about everything you need from a grocery store, in general staff is very nice. My only gripe is there deli, I always get either attitude like they dont wanna be there or there undertrained. No one in that department makes something the same way, so one week something will taste very good and then the next it wont because they either added to much, less, or not enough.

Butchers station employees are A-1. Very approachable, listen they know there stuff when it comes to cuts, and styles of meat. Never had a bad experience. I witness some of the kindest customer service with ADA customers that it put me at pause. Exceptional.

A local grocery store that has almost everything you need. A big store with plenty of parking and bathrooms, and a perfect place to load up if you’re camping at Joshua tree, they have all the essentials including a fruits and vegetables aisle, and wood for the campfire.

This stater brothers is awesome these workers are so cool and fun. They also saved my life one night when being chased by 4 car loads of people. Who mistaked me for some one else I drove in the parking lot and they chased them off. I love this place.

Laura was very rude. Upon trying my store ID to get the sale prices, she made me get my phone and sign up again. After I signed up, it still wouldnt work. Other employees insisted they could just use the store card, but Laura held tight I couldnt use it. During the time I was signing up, she was talking rudely to a coworker about how usually people do it (sign up) before they come into the store. After a while of going back and forth, she finally conceded and allowed me to use the store card, which for everybodys reference if needed is just the stores phone number as per the Google listing.All that salt over a couple bucks of digital coupons!P.S. All the other employees were WONDERFUL. But afterall, the cashier tends to leave the most sticking impression. The other cashiers seemed to not really like Laura either.

Wow! NO Krispy Kreme donuts available again today! This is my 3rd trip to store in a row to 29 Palms store to pick up donuts for my office workers. I decided today to speak to the manager & asked the cashier for a manager. The manager responded by phone to the cashiers inquiry that they have not seen that vendor for 3 days. Please note that I was Not informed IF the manager planned to follow up!

Took a 90+ year old friend shopping today and she had a spell in the store. Everyone was so helpful, from the Baggers to the Cashier closest to us to the Manager. Cudos and much appreciation to Jeff for the impromptu power shopping cart lesson and assistance getting her to the car. His patience and demeanor were a godsend. Stater Bros staff rocks! I’ve been going here pretty much everyday for two years, some of the staff are extremely nice, but some of them are extremely rude. Unfortunately the rude staff has made experience so bad that I no longer wanna shop here. They lied to my face and took my money, which was very much not cool. If you wanna buy a lighter and you’re 18 too bad, but they’ll definitely take your money for it. I’m tired of being treated like this by a store I frequent and know almost everyone who works there. And I’d especially like to point out the Manager Jeff who isn’t a very nice guy, and treats people depending on how they look and dress. I don’t like being profiled when I shop, considering I spend over 1000$ a month here

I have been going to Stater Bros. my whole life, ever since I was a kid, and I have always liked it. But, I moved to Twentynine Palms about a year ago, and the Stater Bros. here is glaringly bad. The friendliness of the employees is hit or miss. Some of them are friendly and polite, which I am used to being normal. However, many of them are decidedly unfriendly. They often do not even offer a greeting at the checkout, nor respond politely when communicated with regarding purchases. And almost none of them have any clue about bagging groceries. Almost every time I go, they do something obviously wrong, like stacking heavy goods on top of bread or soft produce, or bagging gallons of milk after being asked not to. There appears to be a serious problem with the management of the store, either not training their people, or not supervising. To be clear, Im not picky. I know its not a premium store, but the few other Staters I have shopped at were not like this one. Over the last year, I have had so many negative shopping experiences here that, even though I have always been a loyal Staters customer, if another major grocery store were to open in town, I would go there instead. On the bright side, the store is always nice and clean.

Thats it- im shopping at walmart in yucca.At this location, Old school cheap Lean cuisines are nearly $4 now! They raised their prices on everything then added low price stickers all over the aisles so it looks like a clearance blowout- like people who shop there everyday wont notice.Raise your prices all you want, but knock it off with the yellow stickers when you raise prices 50 CENTS- $1 overnight.Food choices are limited, very little variety, no good vegan, vegetarian, keto options.Food at this store is decades behind all food trends.They gouge all shoppers, inflate prices bc they accept EBT.For instance, same frozen rice packets are 1.99+ @walmart are 3.99+ at staters.I will absolutely spend the time and gas to shop elsewhere.

I had one elder African American man yell at me for leaving the sandwich bread on a different aisle, and telling me that I’m not the one working there. If you’re going to do your job do it right if not then don’t go to work at all and continue being lazy at home like usual.

I absolutely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately for me it is the only grocery store we have in town without having to make a 35 min to 1 hr drive to go some place else. It seems no matter what time of the day you go in there the lines are backed up around the store. They have so many employees and so many registers yet they seem to be able to only open the express lane and a regular lane...I feel like they could do so much better but they do not care. They know people will keep coming despite the horrible customer service. Its as if everyone working there hates the lives.

My cashier, Veronica was extremely rude and had the audacity to roll her eyes when I asked her to watch out for my crushable items. She seems annoyed customers kept coming to her line even though the other line was busy as well. I have made complaints about her in the past and it seems Management is apathetic regarding how your employees treat customers. I avoid her line usually because my bread items tend to be squished when she throws down all my stuff and just overall lacks concern. I want to know why she is allowed to continue with this negative attitude? If you hate dealing with customers so much, why work retail? Maybe corporate will handle this person better than inside store management. After shopping here over 15 years I have never had a cashier display such poor attitude. And Jeff if you read this, I have spoken to you personally TWICE about her in the past few months. What happened to taking care of it?

Everytime I go here, I typically have a positive experience. Depending on the time of day one goes, it usually doesnt take a substantially long time to run in, make your purchases and leave.There are a couple of motor-mouth cashiers who love to talk about everything PLUS the kitchen sink with customers whom they are buddy/buddy with; but other than that, its okay.

I ordered a 2 tiered cake initially and called to change it to a 3 tiered cake the day before I was to pick it up. There no problem with the last minute change. The cake was beautiful. The colors were perfect. My daughter loved the decor and the color palette. Our guests really had no idea that Stater Bros made such cakes. It was beautiful, so moist and delicious. The only grocery store in town, and despite that its pretty good. It has its own butcher and a decent selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. Deli section is so-so but OK for deli meats and cheese. They have a bakery too and will make birthday cakes and so on. OK selection of odd imported things (they have Marmite!) but only non-perishables. Not a good cheese selection. Staff is friendly and efficient.

I do appreciate the fact that they have clearly posted the hours of their deli. Of course the grocery store chain seems to encounter the issue of making sure they have enough cashiers in both the first few hours of their day and during the last two hours. It becomes a rather large issue.

Service has been good, but due to this covid everything is backed up with shoppers so they tend to not have stocked shelfs at times but generally they have everything I need when I go. I love their produce section with all the organic fruits and vegetables. Their meat counters and butchers are in my opinion the best around, and the quality of the meats are unsurpassed by all other stores. The only way to better them is if you buy grass fed directly from Montana ranches.

What an experience 👏 somewhere between the hot marines hitting the gym, the vagrants hanging behind the burger King, and the dude who commented on my butt outside the dollar tree, I found myself delightfully overjoyed to see such colorful locals... the guys having their car meet up (for whatever reason) added a boppin soundtrack to the whole excursion. Also Other meats like Fresh and Proper Pork Belly, and Not just whats leftover after the Employees have had their Take!! Times are Hard, and I know that I mentioned some expensive food items! Store seems to really have gone downhill in customer service for a while now. Never enough registers open and when they have new employees in which it seems like they always are hiring and not alot people stay. The new employees especially in the meat department are rude or have no idea what they are doing. Went today and had to almost argue with the employee over what I kept asking for. Didnt get it I was given something I didnt want instead and was over it so I just left.

This review is solely for their fried chicken. Ive never had better fried chicken in my life!!! Better than KFC! Best fried chicken in town. Always fresh and super reasonable in price. $10 for a dozen of the dark meat portions or $8 for a whole chicken (cut up of course). Perfect for a picnic at the national park. Last night (July 30, 2019) I had to come here to buy milk for my son. I am new to the area however, been here a few times before. The closest store that provides the milk my son can drink. I walk in the store and go straight to the milk. Everyone is already giving me crazy looks. As I make my way to my car they start sounding their car alarms as if I was up to no good. I get in my car and leave the parking lot to realize the cops have been called on me for no reason. On my way home Im pulled over and questioned about my visit to the store..... was profiled for no reason at all....i was dressed in black sweat pants pulled all the way up on my waist and draw string tied and an OKC Paul Gorge jersey. Entire outfit relatively new. Was not walking around causing trouble, did not say anything to anyone, was polite to the cashier lady. Literally did nothing wrong.Tired black man walks into a store buys milk and gets cops called on him because the store wrongfully profiled me to be a threat. Very sad! I have no intentions on doing wrong, I have 4 kids that need me in life have no time, nor room to jeopardize that! I have long days and long nights on the basis in order to coach the girls youth basketball team I started also do all I can for my children throughout the day. Havent experienced this type of treatment other than in Bakersfield, CA and the officer at that time was honest with me and told me when these things happen its because of racial profiling. I would have given them a zero but was unable to do so. I ordered cupcakes for my sons football team 24 hours prior. I asked the young lady for a particular color (team colors). They called a half an hour before pick up (next day), to say they didnt have the color. I gave another color, and still unable to give that color as well. Ill start by saying my main reason for going to stater brothers last night was to get a filet mignon roast. For a un planned BBQ. Well for what ever reason the 29 palms store was short staffed and the man who was supposed to clean and close the meat depart (not a butcher) just a friendly man with a willingness to help went in the back storage area of the meat section and found the item i wanted and then told me that although he did not know how to make the eye catching picture type cuts as a butcher does he said hed do his best. He first was very clean by washing his hands and the knife and chain mail cut proof glove. Then trimmed the roast of undesirable chunks of fat that was at least a pound. Which translates to about a $14 savings and finished packaging it up. This is exactly the type of service that they provide that keeps me coming. So i say thank you again to that cleaner guy and keep up the good work....

Im handicapped and I have a service dog that is supposed to be near my mid-section-heart, for this reason I bring a blanket and put it where children sit and my service dog rides there on her blanket. Had he listened hed have heard that Im handicapped due to a broken back, therefore there was no possible way for me to carry my 22lb dog through the store. Rude, unhelpful, zero empathy, zero help! I hoped for a heart attack so that I could sue him!!! Havent been back in the store since! They have a misinterpretation of how the Adult Disability Act is supposed to be followed Concerning Service Animals. Blue Cape therapy dogs do not have access rights the same as Red Cape Service Dogs. The only Therapy Animals with full Access in the USA are those that help People with PTSD. The only proper identifications weather a Service Dog is full access or not, is: dog wears harness with the color red or blue to Indicate its type, the dog is trained and well behaved no agression, no butt or feet sniffing, obeying commands, visually trained actions stays on the left side of owner at all times, and sits still and attentive when not moving with owner. The owner must have copie of Service Dog letter from a Doctor of psychology stating the need is real for this type of therapy and that the doctor has observed the dog is in compliance with ADA regulations. If a property owner does not believe the person is telling the truth about the service animal because of service animal is not acting like a service animal or because the person is walking with their supposed service animal with a choke chain then the person in charge of the property has the right to ask if the dog is a service animal. If the dog does not act like a service animal the manager has the right to call the police and should do so because the police are the only people that can determine whether or not the identification for the service animal is valid or not and theyre the only ones that can ask to see it. Because of the safety of everyone in a grocery store for sanitation reasons and in restaurants this is also extremely important because of Sanitation reason that only real service animals be given access. Blue Cape therapy animals only have access two places of living like hotel rooms and apartment buildings. They do not have the same rights unless given by a doctor of psychology which would be stated in the letter of identification for service animal. My right to have my Service Dog for my PTSD because War has the right not to be distracted when working by stay every day pets when in places like restaurants and grocery stores, school, on Airplanes, court houses, and privet business. Any where a non disabled person would go. They are lax about safety, dont enforce mask wearing, Ive never seen them cleaning carts, they have less selection than other stores.

Just bought beef shank that was set to expire on the 7th. When I opened it a weird stench came out. I decided to ignore it and cook the meat anyways 🤢 it was repulsive. Lesson learned lol

Friendly Staff and decent variety of product. Look at your receipt! Price tags often do not match so your being overcharged.
