Great breakfast tacos (get them with bacon) and fish tacos were awesome (but only available after 1030am or so).Can’t speak for the coffee, but the fire water was perfect on a brisk morning.Service was great, no questions-asked replacement when the order was incorrect.

I had the Poke Bowl with a substitute of cabbage instead of brown rice and absolutely love it!!! My 25-year-old nephew had the single smash burger which he said it had the right mixture and was enough for one person.. The ladies this afternoon were awesome and helpful on explaining what was on the menu. We sat at the picnic tables that were between a walking trail and across the street from the beach. The ambiance was a perfect beach day. The place also had blocks for kids to play

Loved the food! Kim-chi dog and fish tacos. We did laugh at the size of the salmon poke bowl for the price. Worth the wait it was good! Besides nothing else this good around. Was fortunate to find a parking spot.

This place is just the best. Its hard to find restaurants that have integrity with the ingredients they use. I love that they use organic ingredients, including organic and/or pastured meats. And then of course, the location cant be beat. We love coming here for breakfast, lunch, or early dinner. My only suggestion would be to provide a high chair or two for the littles. :)

If I can eat that salmon poke bowl every day, I’d be in a very healthy shape. Very fresh and perfect proportion. The matcha latte was fantastic too. Outdoor seating only, overlooking the ocean, listening to the waves, enjoying the warm sun.

Food is mostly 5 stars. Love the donuts, banana bread is the best ever, breakfast taco! Yum. Lemon bread wasn’t great. Not nearly as moist and the flavor was a little off. Great location.Service has been mostly good. A little sassy today and off-putting.

We got 3 fresh fish tacos and a tuna salad sandwich. The tacos were amazing - you really can taste the freshness. The tuna salad sandwich was also fresh but was a bit unusual. I think its because Ive never had tuna sandwiches with cabbage before. They also werent able to create a tuna melt, which was a bit disappointing but overall - this place felt like a hidden gem. I also loved the outdoor space where people gathered and ate.

I almost don’t want to let the secret out about this spot, but they deserve the credit. Everything on the menu is delicious and the staff are super friendly.Extra credit goes to the kimchi dog, which is an inventive, beautiful, and extremely tasty dish that we didn’t try until our 4th or 5th visit, but would recommend highly as a first visit item.Seating is all outdoors picnic tables, and somewhat limited. There’s also usually a bit of a line at the order counter, especially on weekends.Great spot to cap off walks along the cliffs or beach/surf days!

Tacos were great, thin layer tortilla rather than doubled, and crispy on the outside. Not overwhelming amount of sauce, one grilled piece of cod in the center which is nice. The fries were really crunchy and nice, matcha latte tasted weird and id skip next time.

This is a surprise of a place, a hole in he wall really, but they’ve a more extensive menu than meets the eye. The staff are nice and patient even when your kids are dragging things out, having a hard time making a choice. The location is really the main selling point, as the view is epic. The seating is all picnic tables. Very Santa Cruz!

This was my first time visiting this coffee house. I live in Santa Cruz county and must have passed by this place a hundred times. I really enjoyed my visit. Its always nice when you find a place that roast their own beans. Nice environment, clean and spacious.

This place is cute. I had seen the little sign out on the street for a couple of years, but I had never ventured back there until today. I just grabbed a Pellegrino, but the menu looked good. A little more seating outside and some gluten free/no sugar-added options would be a plus, but it is a perfect little spot for surfers to refuel.

Very chill spot with great customer service and amazing food options. Set at the edge of surfing paradise where you can watch surfers, and against a wooded area with a few walking trails, and relaxed outdoor seating. The trails made parking on a back street an easy option other than the main road by the water.

Amazing spot. Poke was super tasty. Surfer friendly (surf rack right in the spot), dog friendly (treats and water bowl) and right in the middle of a nice park with ocean view. Staff is also nice. A plus: they encourage eco friendly activities (free coffee if you feel a bucket of trash).

Food was the bomb. We had the fresh fish tacos, the kimchi hot dog, the nutella-dilla, the chai and the Turkish iced coffee. Everything was super good. Line was long but it moved really fast. They have many benches to sit and eat and there’s the pathway right next to it to burn off those calories. Lovely location and great food!

We love riding our bikes to steamer lane supply on the weekends. The breakdillas are insanely good, Great breakfast tacos pastries, donuts, granola cups and more. We had delicious, authentic Baja fish tacos. I also had their agua fresca which I didnt like at all. It was Meyer lemon, turmeric, and ginger so I should have known. LolThe cafe is attached to public bathrooms, which I assume are partly there to serve people going to Lighthouse Beach which is just up the street. The bathrooms are a life saver!The cafe has picnic tables and other spots to sit and eat. Its a busy area around there so its great that there were nearby parking spots and available tables.Only one party at a time is let into the single room you go in to order and get your drinks. They bring your food to a table near the door and call your name.Its not quite a cafe. Its more of a room and a kitchen.It was lovely to sit and eat there on a summers day. It really adds to the Lighthouse Beach experience.

Food was just okay. Fish tacos were a bit underseasoned. Poke bowl was pretty small for the price charged. Pulled pork sandwich and burger were not bad. Honestly, the main thing is that you can get some okay food without having to drive out from the area. Its not bad, its as just not as good as the reviews and ratings made it sound. Nothing to write home about food-wise, again its the convenience factor really going for it, its not a restaurant I would seek out if not for its location. To be fair to them they do seem to try to create a friendly and relaxing ambiance, and theres a fairly good menu selection. Its just not wow.

Whoa! What a gem of spot right next to the ocean. Most food spots next to the beach are usually not that good since they have a captive audience. However, this is not so with this place. The food is great and its a great place to go after getting your swim or surf on at the beach.

The chai is made in house, but its just a tea, not a chai latte, FYI. (You can add milk, but its not steamed.) There was no discernible ginger or cardamom flavor; it mostly tastes sweet with some cinnamon and maybe other spices? The food looked good; I hope to try that next time. Great friendly service! Ugh, beyond disappointed. Decided to try this place based off it being on an Eater list along with the high reviews and the food was awful. I got the pork bowl - the pork had no flavor, the “slaw” was just shredded cabbage, the kimchi had no flavor and was a weird texture. Also, witnessed someone in front of us return some sort of rancid yogurt cup & a worker tasted the yogurt cup to see what was wrong with it & brought back a new one like “oh it just sat out too long, sometimes that can happen - it’s not harmful though, just can get a funky taste”. Ew, just ew. Should’ve taken that as a sign to try another place. Only reason this place doesn’t get a 1 star is because we also got a fish taco and that was good.

They called the completely wrong name for my order. We waited for almost 30 minutes. EVENTUALLY, the cashier saw us still waiting and said our food was ready and that they gave the wrong name and laughed as if that was a joke?By the time we got our food it was cold, the burger soggy, the tortillas for the tacos were soaked and falling apart. This was our first time coming here and our last.Suggestion:1) if you can’t understand what a name is, switch to numbers for the orders.2) offer to re-make someone’s food when you mess up or at the very least, be apologetic

We only tried the fresh fish tacos. Yum. Very fresh tasting ingredients, juicy. Since it is Covid times I didnt get some hot sauce, didnt want to touch the community bottle. Omg..this place is great. What a genius place right across from the beach by the showers. Tons of beautiful scenery and outdoor seating. PLEASE bring your own cup and silverware! A lot of options come wrapped in paper and foil. If you are eating there bring a plate or ask for no foil to cut down on waste. They have some yummy choices but some sell out by mid day. Coffee and food is delicious and thoughtfully sourced.

A great stop, very hidden, along the waterfront walk, near the lighthouse. Really no other cafes or markets nearby at all, this place serves extra good coffee, interesting food, bottled drinks and home-made horchata. I heart Fire Drink! I always love coming to this super chill spot to get some delicious quesadilla concoction and let my daughter play on the fallen trees in the sun while we people-watch and soak in the good vibes. Nice gem on the cliffs. All I wanted was coffee without driving down to the boardwalk area super pleasant surprise to stumble on this place. House made and organic eateries much appreciated, agua de frescas, watermelon slices, donuts, breakfast food and lunch menu. The prices are reasonable considering the convienance and location. The atomosphere was super chill with outdoor seating nestled among the wooded area and giant jenga. The only thing I could say that could be improved was the service. I went here 4-5 times over my vacay while chiilin at the beach with my son. The staff was not all that friendly to us. They saved thier pleasant attitude for thier other guests. They are not very personable seem bothered by answering simple menu questions, wear poker faces, looked like it would kill them to smile or interact and engage with us. I thought maybe I look like a vagrant, lol, to them🤣 bc I had been in there with beach wave hair and sand in my nails. I noticed they were friendly to the older white ladies that looked touristy. I came back another day not in my beach bum attire and same type of service to the point when I said TY to them they just uttered mmmhhhh. Typically, your welcome follows a thank you. But they already knew that bc they had all the pleasantries for the next customer in line including have a nice day and thank you. I work in marketing. Service thats not inclusive will always set apart your sucess. Maybe the new cofffe shop opening up on the cliffs will train thier staff to smile and say thanks to ALL thier customers!!!

This little cubby hole spot is the only place around for a cup of coffee and a snack. Its a great, social spot where you grab a bite, a bevvie, and a chair outside and watch the passerbys to the sound of the ocean in the background. On this first Thursday of October that Im sitting here, theres a guitarist and violinist volunteering their artistry, a friendly gal behind the counter, a moderate breeze, and the sun shining on my back. Well behaved dogs and their pet humans are welcome here. It would be great (for me) if they served beer, but its understandable that they dont. The prices are a bit sharp, as one might expect from the only coffee/snack shop within a mile west of the Wharf, but theyre not ridiculous, as one might also sometimes expect of a place situated 50 yards from the beautiful West Cliff banks and a few hundred yards from the legendary lighthouse at Steamers Lane. And if youre taking a stroll along WestCliff Dr., its a bonus that the public restrooms are housed in the same building. Theyre also the only ones of those within a mile.
