Breakfast was not good. Pretty disappointed after reading all the good reviews. We tried the brunch burrito and the breakfast sandwich and couldn’t finish either of them. Eggs were disgusting and grey. Sandwich was dry and needed some sort of sauce. The sausage and croissant were good but the eggs just ruined it. Can’t speak to their coffee or any other food but I’d recommend going anywhere else for breakfast.

My cappuccino seemed like a medium roast. Perfectly balanced (wished it had basic coffee art). The early bird burrito had super well seasoned sausage. I loved the spice on it. The tortilla was to large for such a small burrito. The eggs did not taste fresh and the onions in the pico de galló inside were very strong. I usually don’t mind onions.The atmosphere seemed cold and uninviting. The color and decorations were dull. The employees didn’t seem happy. Wasn’t welcomed or thanked. It was just off. The building was actually cold inside and the music was only playing near the register.Won’t be returning the Steel Cup Café 😕

The Brunch burrito and breakfast sandwich on their home made biscuit were both HUGE and super delicious. Potatoes were phenomenal and super cheap for the amount of potatoes you get. I loved the art and chill atmosphere. They have an awesome book wall as well. Their plates are restaunant quality dishes- so they really mean it when they said they hand craft each plate and cook to order. Will definitely return!!

Lots of community art for sale, great idea! Stopped by, recommended by my daughter. She had a sandwich & bagel for later. I tried the banana muffin & must say its the best Ive ever had. Would definitely go back to try other items bcuz everything looks so good. Definitely a great place to remember!

Quality coffee for sure! I had an iced latte, the pricing was not too bad and it was ready pretty quick. It came in a cute mason jar mug, even though the drink was iced the handle was warm! The overall ambiance of the shop was so nice and relaxing, great place to study. There were lots of places to sit, my sister and I sat on the couches and played cards (they had a box of games) also whoever was on aux 🔥 definitely will come back to try their food!!

The food is delicious, we both got breakfast sandwiches and loved the options. It’s great to see easily customizable vegetarian options! Coffee wasn’t the best but the food is worth it and they have non coffee options.(Edit: We came back, got the avocado toast, the french toast sticks and the breakfast burrito- actual perfection)

Have been having food/drinks here for 2 years. Unfortunately the service and coffee has went downhill. I dont feel that the staff ever want to be working there. The coffee comes out way to hot to drink. The last time I ordered a bagel, the cream cheese looked way to old to be serving to people. This was once a hidden gem but not anymore.

I ordered the breakfast burger which I attached a picture of for you to see! I added chorizo which was an amazing add-on and I highly recommend it. The burger patty was as big as the bun which was no small thing! We also got the French toast sticks but I didnt get a chance to take a picture because everyone ate them so fast. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Food is delicious. Not really a restaurant type setting. Its a coffee shop type atmosphere. We had a large party which occupied 3 small tables. They will not & did not want us to put our tables together. I wouldve left but it wasnt my choice to pick this place. You have to clean up your own table when done like cafeteria style.

My first time coming into this cafe. The staff was nice and polite. They had a great selection of breakfast and different kinds of coffee. There are plenty of open spaces where you can sit to enjoy your meal and drink. Decoration was also nice modern and clean. I’m an artist myself so I felt inspired when I saw the artwork hung on the wall.

Honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had.I ordered the Traditional Breakfast with eggs over easy, sausage patty, and sourdough toast. I am super impressed with how fresh everything tasted and how well it was prepared.The eggs were exactly as ordered and held a lot of flavor. The toast was nice and hearty with the perfect amount of butter. Sausage patty was handcrafted and fairly lean with a really pleasant and light spiced flavor.I definitely recommend this place for a nice and comforting breakfast. I’ll certainly be back to try out some more of their food. :)

If zero stars were an option Id have chosen that. Listening to management fight in the back while trying to enjoy a meal with my family wasnt as unpleasant as it was tacky, unprofessional & embarrassing. Hearing associates gossiping about coworkers who were not there to defend themselves was disheartening to say the least. I wouldve asked for a supervisor but again, the associates were in the back fighting & no one sounded mature enough to be of any authority.

This place is a mix between a Starbucks and a breakfast place. It’s pretty small and mostly a place to grab some food and coffee to chill and study. Their menu is simple bit good! Tried the breakfast sandwich with the biscuit. They are a bit pricey but the portions are good for the price. Their latte art was cute too!

This café is amazing. We have been coming here for years. I highly recommend it for food or coffee and they even have beer on tap! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Be aware they understandably get busy at times so be sure to bring patience. There may be a bit of a wait but it’s worth it.

A friend recommended this place and Im so glad we went. The food was delicious and my matcha latte was just right. They have a regular table to eat at, high tables, and a lounge couch area with games if you want to get cozier. I love that they have a book wall with a little bit of something for different tastes, including kids! I found the cutest story book for my toddler. Best of all here is the friendly staff who clearly set the tone and great atmosphere for the whole place.

Greasy food from a terrible menu with lazy service and absurd prices. What you see on the menu isnt likely to be what you receive--it will be lathered in slimy sauce and oily beyond belief. No onions? Yes onions. On a croissant? On greasy sourdough. The sausage is so heavy with oil and pepper that youll have heartburn before you take a second bite in the hopes of identifying any other flavor except rosemary. The sauce on the breakfast sandwiches is honestly foul and not mentioned on the menu.The biscuits are big flat tough discs of anti-Southern sadness. The blueberry pastry may feature as many as TWO entire blueberries and if youre lucky, it wont be dried out and stale! This is not based on one bad experience, but several--my husband enjoyed their burritos until recently, when the last two have been hastily made and chock full of onions. Ill give them this--the hot chocolate is pretty good.

I started to be a regular at this cafe, its beautiful inside and the employees are very friendly + polite.I live in Ventura which is 1 hr and 30 mins away from long beach, every Tuesday and Thursday I come into town to train jiu-jitsu.Im in town from 6am - 8pm, I usually go to the cafe from 1-5pm.Ive never had an issue at this cafe.Until today, the OWNER of this cafe sees me use the restroom twice without purchasing something, they do have a policy that says you must purchase something to use the restroom.He waits about 15 mins then approaches me about the situation, he says Hi can I help you. Which I respond No, thank you :)He then says Well if you use the restroom you must purchase something, I informed him I come in regularly and sometimes I dont purchase anything but am still allowed to use the restroom. I didnt know it would be an issue today.He replied saying Well you need to purchase something in order to use the restroom, this isnt a library. ( with an attitude) Then turns his back to me and walks away.The whole cafe is designed like a library.... Theres even books on a shelve that you can purchase.The point is he was very rude and didnt have to approach me the way he did, wasnt polite at all.I really enjoyed coming in to this cafe, but after today I will no longer stop in nor be referring any of my friends.

Live down the street and have tried a few of their breakfast dishes. Their chorizo breakfast burrito is awesome, hits my stomach funny, but a lot of sausages do that lol.Their breakfast burger? Oooooff the carts good. Thick patty, perfectly seasoned with salt. The peper Aioli pulls all the flavors together. The bun is always perfectly toasted. The strawberry Balsamic jam beautiful brings all the flavors together for a salty,pepper, sweet, and indulgent bite every time!

First time visiting and oh my God what a delight. I came here after having a horrible experience at the potholder in belmont. Limited menu but what they serve is extremely high-quality. I had the built your own breakfast with sourdough and their potatoes are seasoned perfectly. Free refills on hot and iced coffee. Cute little steel cups literally! Seating is great theres outlets near every seating area, so after youre done eating you can enjoy their fast wifi and hang out. Amazing mix between food, restaurant, and actual cafe where they dont mind you sitting down to do some remote work. Only wish the location was bigger! Great job to the owners who though about the set-up, you can tell they took their time thinking about everything. Very happy with service and food was delicious! Hopefully can come back soon :)

We stumbled upon this cafe while visiting Long beach. They had good quality brunch food, with a nice neighborhood feel. We ordered the brunch burrito, the egg scramble, and the French toast sticks. My sandwich was literally the best thing ever... balsamic tomatoes... some kind of avocado spread... ugh so good.I also stole a few bites of the biscuits and gravy. It was just just as yummy. It had a different taste then the normal kind you get. The best way I can describe it is Southwest style...idk... but it was good.I will definitely be back for more!

Wow! This place is so yummy! I stopped by just for a coffee, but when I started looking at reviews I HAD to try the food. I ordered a small cappuccino and the beef and bleu sandwich. The staff was very friendly and when they brought the food out the table next to me commented on how beautiful the sandwich was. I would never have thought to call a sandwich beautiful, but it was :) everything was delicious.

Steel Cup has great coffee! I always get a mocha and sometimes an Early Bird Burrito. They have outdoor seating if you want to sit and eat/drink. They also have some books for purchase if you like to read while drinking coffee and WiFi if you need to study or work. Sometimes their kitchen gets backed up during their busy hours, so maybe dont order food if youre in a hurry! But all around great place with friendly baristas!
