Loved these tacos!!! My favorite was the squash, corn, chickpea taco, had the green crispy potato taco and the black bean pepper, all great.Fish taco and beef taco were flavorful- crispy fish.Service was immediate and there was a DJ, place was clean. We’ll be back.

Stand out tacos in Socal, thats saying A LOT. Big loaded tacos with premium ingredients and dont discount the veggie ones theyre just as good. Im as far from being a vegetarian as it gets but I was super curious to try some of the vegetarian offerings here.I started off with the crispy green potato tacos and Im going to give those ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!! They are the best potato tacos Ive ever had. Super crisp shell, fluffy potatoes and the cilantro suace is KILLER.I also tried the black bean and yellow chili tacos. They dont compete with the potato tacos in my book but still an extremely solid veggie taco choice.Chickpea elote nachos.... vegetarian or not these are just plain delicious. Corn, chickpeas and zucchini on my nachos? Never in a million years, but after today these will certainly be on repeat with me.Drinks....the horchata and the watermelon agua fresca were both very good and fresh.Non veggie...fish tacos were good. Not overly battered and the handmade tortillas have a great texture. I did order a beef cheek burrito but that ended up coming home with me. Ill have to update my review on that later.

They deserve 5 stars for everything. They know what theyre doing and you can see and taste the stra8 forward concept of this restaurant. I visited for the first time and Im instantly convinced to return regularly to try everything. Im so happy that they offer so many vegetarian options.If you like fresh and full flavors, this is the taco joint you want to go to.

Love it!! We ordered brussel sprouts, smokey hibiscus and steak tacos. They were all good! Vegan chocolate tres leches was awesome! Not too sweet which i like! Cant wait to try the rest of the menu next time! It was worth the drive!

The Restaurant moved to this location about a year ago. It is much larger now.The food is mosty vegetarian, with some interesting item including Jack fruit tacos.We both had the (real) fish tacos, two each, which were excellent, a side of beans, chips and guacamole and ice tea and a beer. Their Crispy “Green” potato tacos and their Black Bean tacos are Bomb!!! 🤤🤤 The crispy green has a jalapeño kick. We usually order them with handmade corn tortillas. We always get extra Red Sauce because that in itself is pretty good. Their Cucumber mojito is good too!! This place is Great for People who are not Vegan and Great for those who are Vegan. You really can’t go wrong.

I like to visit this place whenever I get the chance, and Im lucky that I live just a few blocks away. They have some of the most unique tacos and burritos that Ive ever had. The service is fast, and the staff is very friendly and quick to get you whatever you need. On top of all that, the dining area is nice and clean and always has good music playing.

Lets start with the atmosphere... the location of the strip mall where this place is located is lack luster and I think the business owners can actually add some more personality to the outside to make it more welcoming; the inside has a cool younger, laid back vibe with a wall facing the customer/entry that prevents any visual past the counter (I personally admire food facilities that allow you some sight into the kitchen)- Id like to know whats happening with the food beyond the wall. Service is pretty standard, you order at the counter, you get a number, and you wait at your table. The food is really the reason why you would come here. They have a menu that provides options for vegetarians and other limited diets- I am returning only to try their cauliflower tacos... we had tacos, burritos, and nachos...their nachos were delicious thanks to the salsa, fresh guacamole, and cheese... the meat was my least favorite... it lacked freshness and flavor so it actually hurt the flavor of a burrito and tacos... we only had steak so I cant provide feedback regarding the chicken. If you decide to dine here, I recommend items on the menu that do not include steak.

I had three delicious vegan tacos (Brussels sprouts, chickpea elote, and crispy taco) and a wonderful vegan horchata.The staff were friendly and helped my friend and I order since it was our first time.My meat eater friend also enjoyed her food, so I recommend for vegans and meat eaters alike and I definitely want to go back!

Saw a video on Instagram of a rif on nacho fries that looked so bomb. So I had to try them out. It was worth the drive. The fries had chickpeas and a cilantro sauce on top. It was actually vegetarian but it tasted so good I didnt even notice. They were so fire. And honestly it was huge I saved half for layer. I got the water Melon fresh juice too and it was perfect. Tasted fresh and not too sweet. Definitely will go back to try more items.

This place caught my eye and I had to stop by for a couple of tacos. They serve real meat and also have plant based options so I got the beef cachete (cheek) taco and the jackfruit taco. The cheek taco was delicious, it had a buttery soft texture- something like bonemarrow mixed with soft meat. It was a tiny bit greasy but I think thats just because the type of meat it is. The jackfruit taco was flavorful- it had an almost tinga like taste. Both of the tacos were served in homemade corn tortillas; nicely filled up with onion and cilantro. For under $8 I got full off these 2 tacos. I took off one star for the initial presentation of the restaurant when you walk in. I wasnt sure if it was open. They have some kind of case there with shirts or some other folded apparel. Other than that this place is great. The only employee I saw was the cashier who was friendly and knowledgeable.

The owners were intuitive and kind enough to let us sample the Black Bean Pepper Taco (pictured) which inevitably blew my mind. The crunch from the pepita seeds, the handmade corn tortilla, the perfect amount of heat, the finely sliced green onions, actually, every aspect of this amazing taco was spot on.All three meat options were perfection as well. Chicken, Steak, and Pork were precisely seasoned and so tender. The Salsas were both 5 Star. I can’t get over it.

I found this restaurant in a magazine and recommended it to my parents. My parents ate here two times without me and the third time we went as a large family. My family recreated the nachos because we could not get enough of them. I would recommend getting the nachos, a variety of nachos, and the drinks. The environment represents the restaurant and is small but an upgrade from the car wash. I would extremely recommend eating here and supporting this small hole in the wall restaurant.

Believe the rating, Ive tried about 5 different Mexican joints in the past few weeks and the tacos served here are simply the best. I tried the combo with both pork and steak and the pork was hands down the best and they are about twice the size of your typical street taco. Highly recommended!Oct.23 update. Food is still delicious, unfortunately, there is just less of it. Instead of tacos stuffed with meat like it was when they opened, there is about half the meat now. I just turned three skimpy tacos into two normal tacos so I knocked it down from 5 to 4 stars

A hidden gem connected to a car wash station. The food was delicious! A twist from traditional Mexican food with many vegetarian and vegan choices. I tried the hibiscus flower, black bean pepper and cauliflower tacos on fresh handmade tortilla. Recommend trying it all! The hot sauce also has a nice kick. The prices are higher than traditional Mexican restaurants at $2.50-$3.50 per taco. But they are slightly larger than the usual street tacos. I highly recommend trying at least once ! An excellent albeit different kind of taco shop than what you would typically find in Southern California.This taco shop is better described as a taco window, which is connected to a carwash. There is very little parking for those looking to just get some tacos and there is very little seating for those who might like to eat their tacos as they wait for their car.This restaurant specializes in vegetarian (not vegan except in special cases) tacos but also has chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. That said, they are known for their vegetarian.When I visited I chose one of each of the meat tacos on their homemade tortillas and a vegan horchata. The meat tacos are also not what one would expect. You arent going to get Al Pastor or Carne Asada here. All of the meat tacos with the exception of the shrimp are braised and pulled meats. They are delicious for what they are, but if you prefer a grilled and chopped taco, this is not the place for you.None of the meat tacos were particularly memorable but they were still very good. The vegan horchata tasted exactly like a regular horchata to me (maybe thats a good thing?). The salsas, which I think are probably the number two most important thing at any taco shop, were only so-so and were definitely nothing special. The tacos were honestly better without the salsa.I would recommend this restaurant but only if youre looking for vegetarian tacos, which I will have to try on my next visit. Perhaps it is the vegetarian items that are really as mindblowing as the current rating suggests. In the end, this is a good taco window, but Im not sure it is quite up to the standard of my 4.7+>100 Reviews list.

Seriously the best vegan/ vegetarian tacos in Orange County!! I have eaten a lot of tacos to find this place. Most vegan/vegetarian tacos place use fake meats that contain soy, I prefer veggies to fill my plate and straight up tacos does just that!I love all their veggie tacos but my favorites are the potatoe and black bean pepper! The flavors are simply amazing! My husband loves the black bean pepper burrito and adds cauliflower for a little crunch.Their homemade aguas (drinks) are perfection, not too sweet and very refreshing.With excellent service and prices, what more could you ask for?!!Love this place and will continue to come by at least once a week for my taco fix!

I bought the homemade taco combo (4 tacos and a drink). I got the cauliflower, carne asada, crispy potatoe, and crispy meat and potatoe. They were very flavorful and delicious. I do think the carne asada meat was a little bland that is the reason for the 4 stars. I got the hibiscus drink, yummy. It is in a. Actual gas station/car wash as pictured so the parking is a bit hard. The employee was very nice and labeled the tacos on the foil packaging. I will definitely be back here.

Okay, hands down, best place to get vegan tacos for me. Before I went gluten-free, I used to get the majority of the vegan items they offer, but now that I am gluten-free, I got the brussel sprout tacos. OMG, these tacos are to die for. They also make a really good gluten-free vegan posole as well. The staff are super nice, and they recognize me when I come in; I drive out from LA to have these tacos. If you haven’t done so, check them out, you will hopefully love them as much as I do. Heads up, they offer more than vegan food stuff too, and it’s all pretty yummy 🤤 according to those who eat non vegan.

You MUST try this spot. The hibiscus (vegan) and shrimp tacos are DIVINE! Try the aioli sauce on the side, its phenomenal. Their Happy Hour deal is unbeatable, I have introduced my family, both vegan and nonvegan, to this spot and they all absolutely love it. Its really nice that they have options for everyone and the prices are so reasonable. Mexican food is my favorite type of food and this is by far my favorite taco spot of all time. Its been nice to see their business grow. My boyfriend and I started getting tacos at Str8 Up Tacos when they were still a tiny walk up spot and weve been addicted ever since.Its only $2.75 per taco during happy hour, which I believe is Tuesday-Saturday from 1-4pm. You literally cant beat that price and find better tacos at any price... A very hard to find small hole in the wall in the corner of a gas station/car wash with whom they share a parking lot, so the parking can be chaotic at times when the car wash is active. However, The food is great and this is great place for Tacos, in addition to having vegan options and gluten, they have vegan options that are gluten free, just ask them for it. The Hibiscus and Jack Fruit tacos are the best. The Red spicy sauce that give the Tacos is very nice too. The customer service is also great, they can get very busy at some times.

This place is amazing. Their vegetarian and vegan options are so good that many non-vegetarians I know come here specifically for the vegan food. The staff is super friendly and remembers regulars well. My sister is a regular customer here and she is allergic to avocados. When you get here dont be surprised if you think youre lost because it is in the same parking lot as a car wash and gas station. But there are cute little tables on the side in which to eat upon. I literally fell in love with my first bite of their cauliflower veggie taco (not actual name of taco, forgot). If youre vegan this place is worth the drive, if youre not vegan this place is worth the drive(they have meat too) and one I will be making from San Diego just to devour these tasty morsels of heavenly delight😋

This place has a very unique flavor profile. My first time in I got the steak nachos (quality meat) and they asked if it was my first time which it was and the chef threw in a delicious taco on top for free, I believe it was a breaded chili of sorts with salsa and tasty toppings. These are possibly the best tacos Ive tried in orange county. Hands down one of the best! They are a bit on the pricy side but well worth the money to come out and try them. Just so you can understand how good these were I ate 11 tacos!! These are not your average tiny tacos with no flavor, that you have to try to compensate flavor wise with spicy salsa. These are traditional tortilla sized tacos with an exploding flavor with each bite. If your nearby dont hesitate to stop by! Make sure to try all 3 meats they have and the shrimp ones! Hidden gem! This modest taco shop has the best street tacos in the area. No joke, I was stunned by the tastiness of the food here. I love Mexican food. I grew up in the area but moved. While visiting this summer, Ive decided to load up on Mexican food. I got 2 beef and 2 pork tacos, 1 shrimp burrito, 1 beef burrito, and 1 chicken nachos. Figured that would also give me a good sample of their flavors.First, the good. The ingredients seemed good and fresh. Chips were nice and crispy, as if they had just fried them. Their red hot sauce has a nice smokey flavor and their green hot sauce is flavorful as well. I just wish the red sauce was a bit spicier. But what killed it for me, was that the meats were all way too salty. Totally over powered all the other flavors.I know they slow cook their meat, so maybe it got saltier as it was later in the afternoon? Who knows, but sad to say, it didnt leave a good first impression.

Looks can be deceiving.I told a friend about this place and we drove up to it and I decided to drive off. He then later decided to come out during his lunch break and check this place out. Canada tell me how good it was so I ended up joining him the next time we were inthe area. I was definitely impressed and felt bad for giving it a judgement before trying it.Parking isnt the greatest as it is located on a Car Wash and Gas Station. Ive popped in here at least five times this summer. All the other reviews are right on.. these are the best vegan tacos in SoCal. Do not be put off that its a part of a car wash/gas station. My favorites are the cauliflower and potato. Im usually not a fan of soup but I tried their cabbage mushroom posole recently. It was delicious. I havent really had anything other than the tacos or a bowl. They taste delicious so why Veer Off Script? 😆 The prices are very reasonable. I like that you have the option of getting a regular taco or Street taco. The service is also very good and they really Hustle to get your food out. A note about parking... there is a school adjacent to the carwash that you could pull into and walk over.

The hubby and I went to Str8 Up Tacos for the first time tonight. We almost missed it because its in a gas station. BEST local taco place!!! The food is AMAZING!!! Food is great service is Meh. Takes a long time and dont order online because they dont honor the same things online as in the store. They sometimes purposely dont answer the phone staff said that last time I went there. But the food is good.
