Very good vegan soul food! Ive enjoyed it so much! All no refined sugar!!! Loved the soul food platter with tofu bbq, corn muffin, and banana pudding. And refreshing beet lemonade, I couldnt take better pictures because I forgot and already started to eat it...recommend this spot.

My first time at The Stuff I Eat and I am so glad I made it! Mr Davis, Chef Babette’s husband, was there and was so fun to talk to and knowledgeable!!! I had the Organic Nachos Salad (I added sour cream and jalapeño), with the cranberry lemon cheesecake, and the beet lemonade… WORDS are not sufficient for the bursts of flavor and how good these were- Plant Based??? I live in another county and have been waiting to eat at the restaurant. It owes me nothing. I loved everything. The enchilada pie was so good. My mom made it, but of course, it was not vegetarian. But, omgoodness, it was excellent. I also got blueberry cheesecake, oatmeal raisin cookies, and lemonade beet juice. You all go support.

I was super impressed with the vegan nachos I had! Very flavorful and spicy, even without beans. The sauce was so tasty and the tortillas had a nice flavor. I also added the tofu, which I never used to eat, and I loved it! The staff was friendly too. Such a nice quiet area and the art and ambiance was lovely!

I enjoy coming to this restaurant 😋. They offer a lot of vegan food options that taste really good. They service is excellent, and staff members are top-notch. I recommend that if youre looking to try something different and want it to be vegan, go check out this place.

Delicious food! Clean eating with some down home soul food vibes. The ambiance is warm & inviting! Not a speck of dirt in this place! Highly recommend the enchilada pie and the vegan soul food plate. Honestly everything looked amazing. Countless orders for their burrito & nacho salad passed by us. Husband and I enjoyed the Organic Nutburger this afternoon for lunch and it exceeded our expectations. OMG! It was delicious! Absolutely delicious! It was also very large and a complete meal, coupled fresh salad topped with an authentic dressing and well seasoned potatoes. Needless to say, the experience was well worth the 40 mile drive and we enjoyed every minute and look forward to our next visit to Stuff I Eat. First time here. VeryNice lady in the front, great flavor on the sauce, I asked for no rice in my lava burrito. Took a little while to get my order. Theres rice! I returned,.lady was nice about it. However I waited another 30 minutes to.get the second plate. So pretty much 1 hour altogether just waiting for food. Got a free slice of pie because they closing. Great place but wished that if they messed up your order, that they place priority in making it.

It was my first time there !! The minute I walked in I got the best feeling!! The people,the atmosphere and the good vibes!!We were immediately seated Chef Barnett the owner herself.The great experience started immediately!! Awww then the food !! It was all out of this world and generous portions!! It was sooo nice being vegan and not worrying about anything we didnt want or eat getting in our food !! Then the interactions with all the staff was amazing.They even got up and sang, we got up and got out photos take ..Made my day !! Amazing all around !! Instant good vibes from the moment we walked in, but the food is truly outstanding. I had the jerk tofu, and from the size of the pieces, to the sear, to the seasoning it was well crafted. I also had the lentil soup which was fragrant and perfectly spiced. We got the soul food sampler with the spinach, kale, BBQ tofu, sweet potatoes, potato salad, slaw, and cornbread. My vegan friends in the Lord, these are the greens you have been waiting for.

I had the lunch burrito. It was loaded with lots of flavor and texture. Amazing burrito! However I also purchased the blueberry cake. They have them sitting on the counter. Unfortunately they had very little lighting inside so I couldnt actually see that well. I opened the desert and this foul smell came out. It smelled like spoiled/rotten milk. I took a bite and it was so nasty. This has been sitting out way to long. I dont trust any restaurant that dosent monitor things like this. All this could have been rectified but you cant get a hold of anyone. I wouldnt recommend any cake dessert.

Yummy! Glad the tofu wasnt in giant chunks it was very evenly blended so that the tofu was subtle, but your fullness isnt. The tropical juice blend is great. I ordered the Somethin Somethin And my friend got the enchilada pie. Cant wait to go again and build my own salad!

Visited here three (3) weeks ago. Hubby found this place and wanted us to try it. The cashier was helpful. While we were waiting on our order. One of the workers came to quarrel with the cashier. Apparently an elderly couple were served twice. Now, you all couldnt handled this different? Go in the back have your discussion or argument there. Another gesture give the couple the meal on the house, if it could be done. That was very unprofessional and our first time there. Not a good look.The food is a lot. A bit pricey. Different things to sample, has variety. Mac n cheese was good. Candid yam was a bit sweet. Hubby mentioned was ok. Not sure if we will try again but good to know what is out there.

The vegan soul food sampler was very good. The greens, coleslaw, and yams were my favorite! My teenager who is not a vegan had the burrito and said it was amazing. My toddler was particularly happy with cornbread and mac and cheese. The desserts were very rich and each of us could only eat a few bites. We were all really full and still had food to take home

I enjoyed everything on my plate with the exception of the tofu which was a little on the slimy side and the cornbread was extensor grainy . I did have to add a little seasoning to my mac and the hot sauce really brought it to life . ( literally some of the best vegan mac I have ever had ). Spent $36 for 2 ppl. The staff was friendly but the service wasn’t great . My friend opted to sub the sides which included more greens but when they brought our food out they actually told us they usually top off the greens but ran out so split them evenly between us . HUH? . ( as you can see in my picture ) . I would go back because the vibes were good . They played great music and I felt like I belonged . All the staff had natural hair and wore head wraps. It just wouldn’t have been nice to have been asked if we wanted something else for the shorted greens .

The food was very good and well seasoned. I ordered the Soul Food Platter but it really didnt taste like soul food. My favorite on the plate was the corn bread, which reminded me of corn bread and water bread......yummy. Nevertheless it was good but I could have done without the Mac & Cheese. I love, love, love, Mac & Cheese so it hurts me to say that.I was with other friends who ordered the crispy fry potatoes and the lava wrap all were scrumptious.

We got there in afternoon with no crowd, and ordered the soul food plates my husband had his without the barbecued tofu. This was our first time and we are learning and switching to a plant-based diet so it was definitely delicious the greens were the best ever, I swear there was some pork in there but I know there was not! I am honestly a cheese fan and not ready to give up the cheese so the mac and cheese was my least favorite all in all tasty. We will be back! Which is most important. Everyone was super nice and I like there sustainable mind.

Enjoyed the deco vibe. The food was what I expected. Full of flavor and well potion too. I enjoyed the meatless Nachos. It was my first time there, and I was nervous to try one thing and maybe not like it, so I ordered the tacos, which are 2 for $8 taconThursday and a small nacho. OMG the Im saving the nachos for when hubby gets out of class at 330p to eat that too while watching a movie. 🤣 I will definitely be back with no questions asked. What I do hope is that the service always remains the same because when I really enjoy an establishment, I will continue to spend money.

In a city full of vegan and vegetarian options, this place just doesnt make the cut. I had heard good things about it, so gave it a go, but was incredibly disappointed. Dont get me wrong, its good to see a vegan place like this trying to bring healthier food to areas such as Inglewood, but the quality simply isnt there. I really hope they dont turn away people from veganism with the slow service and mediocre food.The interior of the restaurant is very sparse, and not in a stylistic, aesthetic way. It just has very dull, brown colors for the flooring and the tables and the walls. It all felt so unappealing and dry. The menus are wrinkly and old, and look so unprofessionally done. A little more effort, please.The service really isnt that good. All the tables were taken, giving the illusion that its bustling and crowded. In actuality, very few people are actually coming in - its just that once youre there, it takes forever to actually get your food. We probably waited a good hour to finally be served what we ordered, and waited thirty minutes just to get a table! No ones eating, because no ones food is being served!!The food itself is unimpressive. I hated the macaroni. It tasted so mushy, it was literally worse than easy mac. The quesadilla was okay, but very thin and not filling at all. The corn bread muffins were just weird! A greyish brown color.....I cant even describe it? I didnt like it. Its expensive too!! This is supposed to be affordable for the people in the area? Im not seeing it...I hope its being successful in its mission to bring new markets into veganism, but I cant see how. Its slow service and mediocre food surely turns away a lot of people, and its prices really arent all that affordable. Theres so many better options elsewhere. From the high-end Crossroads, to the fast-food style Veggie Grill. Either way, find vegan fulfillment elsewhere.

I got the burger and I added cheese. It was $3.50 for the cheese! I thought they had added gratuity to the bill since the numbers didnt make sense. I almost didnt tip because of that. The burger was pretty good, (mushroom, nuts and wild rice not impossible burger). It came with a side salad and cottage-fried potatoes. My potatoes were disappointing, they were diced small like hash browns and soft like boiled potatoes - nothing crispy or fried about them.

The greens were deliciously immaculate, the mac n cheese was good but lacked a bit of seasoning, the enchilada pie is more like a brick of corn masa sitting on top a plate of beans covered in sauce... but it was still yummy, although I see no relation to enchiladas, its more like a tamale. Cornbread tasted like cardboard but Im sure it is healthy. The yams were yummy, they use ginger instead of cinnamon and it taste really different and has many health benefits. The coslaw was good. The potato salad was ok, it could use seasoning and bell pepper but then again its just my opinion. The beet lemonade is freaking delicious!

I enjoyed my beet lemonade I brought 2 of them. and the split pea soup was awsome. The blueberry cake was a hard funny tasting brick. Calling it a cake is drastic overstatement at 11$ a slice it is waste of money in this time when money is tight. should be taken from the menu until you do better.

Food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and professional. I had the enchilada pie, which was EXCELLENT. My 22 year old daughter had the nacho salad and she said they were some of the best nachos shes ever eaten. We also ordered sweet potato pie and enjoyed it very much. Chef Babette was inside the restaurant posing for pictures and giving hugs. Definitely will be back. Five stars all around.Note: plan to wait about twenty minutes for your food. In looking for new Vegan restaurants I came across this place. I ordered their Lava burrito and let me tell you. Phenomenal! The burrito had a great seasoning to the stuffing mix and the salad dressing was delicious as well. Like a slightly sweet vinaigrette but almost buttery. Veggies were on point as well. Good stuff and definitely recommend giving that a try. Look forward to trying more of their food.

We drove a little over an hour just to try this restaurant for the first time...We had the Organic Soul Food Platter and the Nacho Salad... Most of everything was really good! 🤗 This was my second time trying tofu and although I didnt think it was bad, I didnt like the sauce on it. I also got the banana pudding cake and the pudding part was good, but the cake was completely dry and just not good and it cost $10 each 😑🤫 All in all I will definitely be back to try the other menu items and next time a smoothie and maybe the mango pie the cashier recommended. 😉

In town for a concert at the Forum and stopped here for a vegan meal. Not disappointed. There is no wait staff, so you seat yourself, go to the counter to order, and then sit and wait for your food. There is a good variety of food to choose from. I had the enchilada pie, which was good, but my friends Southwestern salad was even better (she let me try it). The wait was a bit long, but the food was really good, so worth it.

Came in here today with a migraine . The guy at the register immediately had an attitude because I wasn’t smiling and lolligaggin with him like the customer was before me . A conversation that could have waited until he took my order being that we all would have been waiting for the cooks to prepare the food . Also probably salty I didn’t laugh at his joke . Again, migraine. I’m already paying for my food, I don’t owe you conversation or entertainment . Now I’m sitting in the car with a salad, never offered utensils . I had the Vegan Enchilada Pie that came with a nice green salad, beans and chips! It was unbelievable, hearty and filling without weighing me down. One of the owners, Babette is a beautiful as they come. She came out and greeted each customer in the restaurant personally took selfie shots and make sure we were all good with our food. As a former restaurateur of The Crab Pit, I am impressed and can give their entire menu to thumbs up! I love this place and I will be back!

Stopped here after arriving at LAX near dinner time and didnt want to hop on the freeway. I am not a vegan, just an omnivore. The neighborhood is not fancy, but parking was right on the street at the front door. There were a couple other diners in the place when we (3) arrived. I didnt know what to expect. The interior is kind of stark, and you walk up to the counter at the back, look at the menu and order the food. I never knew that there could be a vegan soul food cuisine. The food here was delicious. Each of us ordered something different and each of us was well pleased with the quality and quantity of the serving. I would go out of my way to dine here in the future.

I am not vegan but I was thoroughly happy to eat here. I liked it so much I drove back from the San Gabriel Valley to go there. The food is super flavorful and not reliant on soy and fake meat products. A man using cant wait to go back next time Im in Inglewood. We had the Enchilada Pie (literal heaven on a plate) and the Soul Food platter (a great way to sample a little bit of everything). Right from the first bite, we were amazed at how incredible everything tasted. We dont have many soul food restaurants in New England (and definitely not a plant-based one!), so this was such a unique, surprisingly good, one-of-a-kind meal well remember for a long time. The macncheese, black eyed peas, and BBQ tofu were some of our favorites from the sampler, but everything was amazing. My wife and I visited Stuff I Eat on the final day of our vacation in L.A. and we absolutely loved our meals. I had the lunch buritto and my wife had the nachos. The food was so delicious. My wife is vegan but Im not. I must say this food definitely makes me consider it. The only gripe I have is that it took so long to get our food but Chef Bs husband made it all better with a free desert. I was given a parfait that was the best I ever had in my life. Th customer service here is excellent. I showed up with a group of 11 people. They had all the food out within 15 minutes.The food is great. In our group only one person is vegan, yet everyone (even the children) enjoyed the food. This is a very good vegan restaurant. They normally have an assortment of Specials to go along with their standard menu. You order from the counter, get a number, and a server brings you your food when ready. A large number of people also pick up takeout orders. I often get their Enchalada Pie or their Soul Food Platter. Their chili is also very tasty. If you wait till the end of their day however, they can sell out of their hot selling items so be ware. They obviously take great care and pride in what they serve and want it to be tasty, earth conscious, and healthy (everyone has their own definition and criteria). The staff at the counter answered questions, made suggestions, and was very patient. I so hate to write a bad review being that I love to support every family owned business but I ordered the soul food plate go and when I opened the container at the restaurant it seemed as if it was previously ordered and cancelled so they gave it to me as a way to save food, the presentation was slightly off but I was in a rush so did not want to wait another 15 min for another plate. The food tasted okay with the exception of the black eye peas were overly seasoned. but after my meal about a couple of hours later food poisoning:( I was in the bathroom for hours and couldnt eat for two days. Whoever is in the kitchen that is spending low energy on preparing the food and plates need to be fired you can really hurt someones health. but overall amazing deco and tasty foods the ones that dont make you ill :( again soo sorry I hate to write bad reviews

I stop by usually on the weekends because there is no way I can make it here by 6pm during the work week. Staff is always very friendly and food delicious. They have a motto of only using what you need so I really like that. My favorites are the enchilada pie and sumthin-sumthin. Gotta try their un-tuna. Quite delicious. I will never eat here again, day after eating had the worst stomach ache ever. I asked for no soy due to allergy reason and was given it anyways. THEY even forgot the guacamole, like wtf. If I were a vegan Id be here all day every day, the food is just that incredibly fresh and tasty. Its the only place Ive eaten at that could convince me to go all mother Earth and all. And they do it without even trying. Wholesome, perfectly seasoned dishes that dont try to be something else, like so many other vegan places that seem to have some kind of inferiority complex. Delicious!I had the Sumpthin Sumpthin plate, spiced to a medium heat. It was perfect! It does come with a carrot un-tuna salad, which is just a carrot salad. I dont think it needs to be called un-tuna. And for those of us in the Inglewood area it also means we finally can get some food that is both yummy and healthy right here in the hood!It may be a little daring opening a vegan restaurant in this part of town, but the food tastes so good it just may make more than a few Inglewoodians believers in the benefits of a healthy diet.

Capitalism has the bad effect on Vegan restaurants now that theres very few competition and places like this can charge astronomical prices without having anybody to stand up against them when it comes to charging the costumer.-Costumer line takes a little longes than usual compared to Panda Express, very few people running and attending the restaurant, people on the kitchen do not meet OSHAs standard for hygiene in food preparing, you see them wearing 59-50s hats, piercings and tattoos without even wearing a mask on their faces.-The hours of opening and closing are flexible for the employees not the costumer, so theres something going on there.-Bathroom can be compared to one on AM/PM, the zinc has the size of a horses water faint and tile is old and rustic.-If you expect a Bose surrounding in every corner of the restaurant well youre in bad luck, the ambient is powered by a little speaker that is situated on the far left corner of the restaurant.-You have to make plans one day prior to visiting now that they wont give you quarters for bills, BRING YOUR OWN QUATER COINS, and prepare Yourself to pay tripple the price of an average meal.-The quality of the building and the service is far to low for the price Your paying.5 stars for the food!2.8 stars raring for the restaurant in total.Thank Yoh for reading this review :)...
