Ive been a regular customer at Submachine since 1984. It is hands down the best submarine sandwich in the Antelope Valley. If youve never been there you really need to try it out. Enjoy!

Food is always fresh and tasty. Sandwiches are bigger and better than Subways thats for sure. Employees are always polite and friendly. Very clean eating area. Also, they offer a discount if you purchase a shirt and wear when you go into their restaurant, either to pick up food to go or dinner in. You can order online very easily too!

I love submachine!! I haven’t found a sandwich place like it anywhere else & I haven’t lived in the AV for 8 years. Every time I come there, submachine is A MUST! Today I went there & the little dude with the cool glasses was so very helpful, making suggestions about different items, giving me heads up about the different chips. He was so kind & patient. I get the club with roast beef instead of ham, “everything” except lettuce & onion. The Italian dressing is amazing. They had cantelope & honey dew which was so perfectly ripe! They were also playing my favorite music, shout out to who’s ever plays it featured PawPaw Rod & jenevieve!! Thanks for the great experience everyone.

I ordered a 3 foot Party Sub with Double Meat The Kansas City....OMG !!! Best Party Sub EVER !!! The bread was Tender, Moist, and Ultra Tasty. The Meat was some of the best I have ever tasted. The Cheese (Provolone) was Awesome. Single meat would probably be a little weak on meat for me and my friends. Their Vinegar and Oil Blend was Ultra Delicious...it was Creamy and gave the Sandwich a Perfect Finish. My son said this was a way better Party Sub than our usual chain store party sub. I will always go to The SubMachine for my party subs from now on, and even for a personal sub for myself. The Sticker Says they are the Best in the Valley....and They are Spot On !!!!

Worst sandwich Ive ever had. havent been here for years but today was that last day. Bread to meat ratio horrible. All bread no meat. Then they shove the meat at the bottom as if it were a taco. Diced tomatoes and onions not good to me. I asked if there was lettuce on my sandwich she said yes. She sprinkled it on there. This was a club sandwich. Ham, turkey, bacon, avocado. Subway makes a way better sandwich. At least you can see what theyre putting on your sandwich at subway. Desert Deli is hands down better then this place.

I ordered the Giant pastrami sandwich (AKA The Dillinger LOL) and got 3 inches of meat on a 12 inch roll. I’ve been coming here for many many years… but haven’t been for a while. Things have changed. This used to be the best pastrami sandwich in town, but sadly that is no longer the case. John Dillinger would be rolling in his grave!!!

This place is beyond amazing. If you have the chance to go definitely do and don’t forget to get extra dressing if you get a sandwich.I legit drive here from Las Vegas sometimes for a sandwich. I mean I’m usually headed to La or something but I get it with all the wet ingredients on the side so I can enjoy half right then but then the other half later. I wish they had a Las Vegas location. I would literally open my own franchise if I could.

I love this place. They always have friendly staff. Your sandwich is made in front of you with lots of choices. Joel who works often is so amazing. If your not sure what to try or want sandwich perfection hes your guy! I highly recommend Submachine for lunch or dinner. The line can get a bit long but its worth the wait.

Tried this place out for the first time today and I was very impressed and happy to see its not like other sandwich franchises. It is unique in a good way with keeping history alive with bomb flavors!! They use fresh ingredients, great taste and were intentive, welcoming, and very helpful with their customer service. This place is more than just a sandwich shop they put passion into every item on the menu and they have a chill atmosphere and I love the decor and theme! Definitely a must try if your in the area! OMG absolute best sub place I have ever been to. I will never go to Subway or Togos ever again. No place can compare hands down. I was so surprised when I saw in the bag they gave me some chopped up pickles, an get this, they also out some Grapes in the bag. I almost lost my marbles when I saw that. Best experience with subs I have ever had. I truly recommend this place to any an everyone. The quality of there meats are unmatched. No one can compare.

Very rude, stood at the counter for several minutes until I acknowledged one of the counter persons, they told me to hold on a couple of minutes. I waited several more minutes while being the only customer there yet everyone acted as if I didnt exist. U finally decided to walk out and knowone even bothered to acknowledge me. I love your sandwiches but probably wont be coming back anytime soon.

Weve been stopping here on the way back from Apollo park for about 5 yrs, it was a bit of a tradition. No longer the case after this last visit. Seems to have changed ownership and the food is not that great anymore. So much bread and a few slices of meat and the veggies seemed old and welted. Staff was kind of pushy especially the heavy set guy with glasses and cap. He was impatient and pushy, they messed up my order in the end didnt give me everything I paid for. Had to ask for fruit, they used to ask. It was an overall bad vibe not as positive as before.

I used to come here all the time when I worked close by. I have left the state and over the weekend returned home for a quick visit. I wanted a sandwich and rushed over to Sub Machine because they always made the biggest an best tasting sandwiches. I ordered my usual turkey and cheese. Even after 14 yes I didnt think it possible to mess up a classic, but they did.I ordered a medium turkey and cheese. The sandwich had 3 razor thin slices of meat, a bunch of lettuce, barely any mayo/mustard and 6 pieces of cut up pickles. Yes, there were few enough that I could count them.This is the place I used to rave had so much meat and toppings you could eat half and save the rest for dinner with a medium. I dont know if this is due to staff, the pandemic or what, but this sandwich was terrible.

Staple in the A.V. for sure. I love that their ingredients are always fresh. No matter when Ive come rather it be a rush or a slow day early or near closing, Ive never experienced a stale piece of anything. MY BOYS. This place has two to three angels working there. They are magnificent human beings that will tend to you like if you were a wounded animal. The service is always fast, always perfect. Always have great specials on foot longs that you can split with someone and have a perfect sized meal. I choose submachine over everything in the antelope valley when it comes to a sandwich.

The very best sub sandwiches in the entire Antelope Valley, for the money**. (See Revision**). I have been coming with my family to sub machine since they opened approximately 3 decades ago. Ask for double meat and cheese and you will get an incredible sandwich. In my opinion the bread rolls here used to be much fresher and of better texture and flavor. The rolls once seemed as if they were baked on the spot, but they are not.The only constructive criticism I can offer to an already excellent sub sandwich Deli / restaurant is to improve the quality of the rolls and put more meat and cheese on the sandwiches, two more ounces would be perfect, without this customer having to order double meat double cheese.That being said this is still the best sub sandwich shop in the entire Antelope Valley if not Beyond these borders. The best iced tea as well brewed fresh from Farmer Brothers.The only way to top sub machine is 2 go to Southern Louisiana to the many po-boy Shops Down Yonder way. I love walking into the sub machine the smell of fresh-cut meats and veggies is utterly delightful as a deli is and should be. Keep up the good work.**Revision- July 2020 [For the money this is the best Sub-sandwich shop in the AV. The rolls at one time were much fresher and tasted homemade. The last two times I ordered to go here, the rolls were dry, almost stale, and overly flaky and much fresher. Not sure if yall changed vendors a year or so prior, but the roll quality is going downwards. Note: a business should never move in a negative direction due to quality standards. I spent my life as a Quality Mgr for 3 Aerospace Corporations in the AV/Plt. 42, I do know quality when I see it, smell it, taste it et al. Dont go here if you are a first time visitor with dark skin. :( I walked in with my family and was treated like dirt it seemed.The first thing I told the women behind the counter was that This was our first time here. Instead of educating us about what each sandwich had on top of it they treated us like we were the stupid ones cause we didnt know.I ordered two sandwiches and a childrens sandwich. She was so rude when I said my son wanted a chocolate chip cookie with his meal. It was like she felt I should have known the meal included an oatmeal raisin cookie. UM I said I never had been there before!The two women were looking at us like we were nuts. Im a smart women but I cant read minds and the menu doesnt say at all! I noticed that every one else in the restaurant was white and highly respected it seemed. But we werent at all. :(The food was just okay -- it wasnt amazing nor horrible. The prices were slightly high because we normally only go to Subway. The only plus I can think of is that they carry raspberry tea ( our favorite ) and have very large cups.I doubt we will EVER go back to a place where we were so unrespected again. I think we will stick with our normal Subway where they arent mean to people with dark skin and treat US like we are the dumb ones.

Sub machine is an AV institution. In years former, their sandwiches were good, but pedestrian in their topping offering. Recently, they have stepped up their game (probably with Jimmy Johns coming to town)They now offer 3 bread choices and toppings for days. And unlike subway, theyre generous with their toppings. I can eat a Subway Footlong and be hungry soon after. A sub machine, its hard for me to finish a full size. And unlike Subway, their meats and toppings are fresh.

The foods ALWAYS fresh. Always. And always great customer service. Just didnt like I HAD to tip when I paid with a card, there wasnt an option to not tip at all when I paid on their machine. I dont tip at Subway because theyre getting paid to do their job already. Same with them. The salads are huge so my hubby and I share a salad and it was split perfectly when theg noticed we only ordered one salad and they gave more than usual just one salad because of the situation. Everythings always great, Ive been going for years, especially when they were in Palmdale by the mall. Miss them being that close too.Btw, the comment about being dark skinned is just racist. Ive seen excellent service all the time to every race. So dont listen to everything you read.

You cant go wrong with the Window Specials, the have for $7.25.. They for sure have a unique sandwich menu of Hot and Cold Subs and they pour on loads of toppings in your sub. Today was my first time ever trying this place and it wasnt a pleasant experience.I walked in with my family and no one greeted us. Ok whatever no one said hi, not the worst thing in the world. Get over it....Then the lady at the counter ask what we would like. (Younger girl with dark hair) No smiles, not very friendly but not rude either. First impression tells me she didnt want to be there.Then this older red headed lady walks in and the mood changes. First impression is she is the mean boss lady because everyones demeanor changed as soon as she walked through the door.Anyway my husband states which bread he wanted and the young lady informs us they dont have that bread. Ok whatever, it happens right. so he settles for white bread. He ordered a pastrami sandwhich. Red head lady comments another pastrami in a tone like she didnt want to have to make a pastrami sanwhich?. I didnt really understand the necessity of the comment. So husband wants to leave after that and take our money elsewhere because this place clearly does not Have a grasp of good customer service.We decided to stay.Now comes the weird part. Red head lady comes out of the back and is like why do you guys have such a hard time keeping the stuff in the right containers then with her bare hands starts picking out all the veggies that had fallen into wrong containers. She then brings out fresh veggies and scoops the veggies out with her bare hands into the old veggie containers. (old should go on top right!) Um lady, you need to put some gloves on those hands! Especially since i seen you wipe the counter in the back with that wet rag and now your touching our food with your nasty dirty rag hands. So now we got veggies in that bin that will go bad and have already been exposed to bacteria and now all that bacteria ia getting into fresh veggies. Then when you place your order and tell them which bread they place your bread in the window on the counter. No plate, no napkin, no anything.hello guys, even though you wiped that counter there is still bacteria on it! Wow i am like disgusted at this point. So anyways...I order the gambino. Wow what a dissapointment. I felt like i was eating microwaved meat. Very poor quality . the chicken felt soggy and with every bite i took i was eating mouthfuls of lettuce and marinara sauce. I was looking in the sandwhich to make sure there was meat at first.My husband did not care for his pastrami sandwhich, which is odd because my husband loves pastrami sandwhiches. We both agreed we would rather go to subway.In conclusion, my family will never eat here again.Red head lady definately needs to take a course or two in proper customer service, proper food handling tequniques and proper way to treat employees.As we left my husband said if we get sick, we know why honey .First impression:Poor quality, poor service, and contaminated food.The sitting area was clean. I was highly dissatisfied with the customer service at this location. My girlfriend and I went there for our first time and all 3 employees that were there made us feel very uncomfortable and made us feel like there was a joke and we were missing it. **UPDATE**I am heartbroken to change my review. But a while ago these guys lost their bread vendor. Without that amazing bread, this place has floundered between pretty awful and kinda ok. But they arent anywhere close to the amazing Submachine of old... the Submachine I was a super fan of. =(**ORIGINAL**Im pretty comfortable saying Im a Submachine superfan! As close as Ive found to genuine East coast subs here on the West coast. Awesome rolls, fresh ingredients, and probably most importantly, above average customer service.I also highly recommend their soups. And their salads are amazing, but bring a friend... theyre HUGE! The chef salad is my favorite.Dont forget to check their daily combo and weekly window specials. And insider tip, when they offer you dressing for your sandwich, you want it!
