Everything about this place is top-notch! They slice your meats on the spot, and your meal is larger than most. The price seems higher in comparison to Subway but not to others like Jersey Mikes. You get what you pay for. I will eat here before I would eat at any other sandwich place!

I love this place. They have squaw bread. Which is a game changer. They also ask you what cheese youd like - but like in a this is the suggested cheese for this sandwich kind of way. They be like ok is swiss ok? And you can be like no or just go with it. Which I appreciate. Because I never know what cheese goes on a tuna or club. The door to get in also has a foot door knob.

How can you not love Submarina? This one has the best service, friendliest staff, and they are pros at getting the line moving. Yes, Submarina is a chain, but the staff here (many who have been here for years) make it feel like a small town deli.

I work close by, and occasionally go for lunch and it’s always the same people, and they never mess up my order and get it right and ask if it’s enough of veggies of what I add. I’m writing this in the middle of eating t my sandwich for lunch and submarina is a godsend, I’m always so happy to leave them a tip! Highly recommend

I really like Submarina (even though theyre a Pepsi, not Coke, place) and this location is no exception. Submarina is where you can get bean sprouts, unlike most sub chains, and they have soup. This location has Dr Pepper, and its right across from a Guitar Center. If you like to noodle around on a few guitars before lunch, this is the place for you.

Why would you go anywhere else? You can taste the freshness of each ingredient in every bite you take. I love the option of sliced bread vs roll. The ATC sandwich is my favorite. Try their squaw bread, it is absolutely delicious. I also like that I can order on the phone during my lunch break and go directly to the register to pay for my sandwich and save a lot of time. I do have to mention that the staff is always very nice and polite. Love you SUBMARINA!

Honestly this place was really delicious. I had a Meatball Sub and also tried the Veggie Sub. Both were full of flavor and portion. I only got the 9 inch and I thought it was gonna be very little sub to what Im use to, but I was really full off of the 9 inch. The meatballs were really big as well, they didnt skimp out on it. The bread was also what contributed to the experience for me as well. The staff was friendly enough with nothing really to complain about.

I love the squaw bread and sprouts on my sandwich. This is one of the few places that I have found with both. We had a large order and they worked hard to fill it quickly. When they made a mistake on one, it was a quick apology and correction. Staff is wonderful. Theyve had an interior design update. The new tables, wood accent wall, and updated shelving rack for the chips make for a very clean and relaxing dining room if you want to eat in.

I love this place for sandwiches. They have the sqaw bread on hoagie roll which I LOVE. They also have an onion roll as well, plus the other normal breads for your choosing. Nice service and they move pretty fast. If you have a large order, please call that in to speed things up. Be considerate to them and other patrons. Enjoy eating here! Its good!Oh I got the Cali sandwich on a sqaw roll. Thats Turkey breast, bacon, avocado and swiss (usually provolone). I added sprouts (love that it is an option!) 🔥

I havent had submarina in YEARS!!! And the expectation was high to say the least, and this location did NOT disappoint! I got there right when they were opening and having been in food service 90% of my adult life, I know its tough to greet the 1st customer with happiness and bubbly personality but these workers did just that! They were even training a new employee and were so patient and kind to her, I was delighted. The owner rang me up and was kind enough to exchange some pleasantries too. Food didnt disappoint thank goodness, I think my heart would have broken!

Submarina is my favorite sandwich place bar none. While it may be more expensive than Subway, each and every one of those dollars pays for quality that Subway could only dream of. They have the freshest ingredients, bread that tastes like and feels like real bread and mountains of freshly sliced deli meats as thick or diaphanously, deliciously thin as you like it. The staff at this location and all others I have been to are always wonderful. None of the chains, big or small, compare to Submarina and the Grossmont location is one such exemplar of excellence.

I think this is the only location in San Diego!? I visit here once in a while, their sandwiches are yuummmmy. I came in, not very busy. I ordered a small sandwich, the regular size get me overly full. Fresh bread, meat and most importantly avocados were fresh!!! The lady who made my sandwich was very polite and male cashier. Tables were clean, the place overall was clean and calm.
