A fly in my pad thai!! it rhymes. I have to be honest this time. food was good but a lot of flies. I count around 5 flies around my table. I told Annie the server/cashier and she told me there is nothing she can do about it. I notice other customers made same conplaint. I hope managent can do something about it.
Absolutely amazing. The vibe was cool, the energy was right. I talked to the nice man working the counter. He was very helpful. He told me how the lady who cooks the food makes the dishes from scratch. The food has an authentic taste. I got the Orange Chicken and fried rice👌
I will never return to this Thai restaurant. The quality has changed and the prices continued to increase, but it was still worth it until this weekend. The dishes were bland, but the major kicker is that they tried to pass frozen boxed chicken nuggets as orange chicken. We always ordered their orange chicken, so we knew this wasnt right.
Ive eaten here four times now, and as critical I am of food, Im thoroughly impressed. The cook is a Tai, that learned to cook in Thailand from the age of 8.This explains why the food is the best Ive had in California, and probably the US.Highly recommend... I absolutely love this place! Ive been getting the pineapple fried rice for a couple months (Ive been several times) and its my favourite ever! The staff is very nice and friendly as well which I appreciate.You should definitely check this restaurant out for lunch or dinner.

Food was delicious! The Pad Thai was amazing, Orange Chicken and Egg Rolls were incredible. Meat was cooked perfectly to a nice crisp. Every bite was full of authentic flavor. Plate was neat, packed, and worth every penny. Service was friendly and fast, will be coming back soon. White rice was also great! I had previously only had Su Thai Om through services like DoorDash, but after finding out how little the restaurants who participate in their program make I decided to pay them a visit so I could support them fully. The atmosphere is great, the food is PHENOMENAL (Especially fresh! I cannot stress enough how much better it tastes hot off the pan in person!), and our server Tanya was so sweet and attentive. She truly made the entire experience even better - and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon.Again, I urge you to go support them directly, their food is better than any chain you could ever buy from, and the food is so much better in person!!
Came here for the first time tonight after driving past this place for a year. Why did we wait so long??? The yellow curry and shrimp was incredible. We also ordered the tofu spring rolls…they were huge! The fried calamari was pretty good to. Will definitely be coming back.

Loved it! If you are looking for authentic Thai food that is absolutely delicious, this is it. Not a fancy place, sort of a hole in the wall, but the food and service is fantastic. Some of the best Yellow Curry Ive ever had. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely give this place a try.
I didnt ask what our waitress name was, but Id love to say that she did an AMAZING job! Hands down the best waitress Ive EVER had. You can see how passionate she was about making sure we were OK. When it comes to the food 5 stars all the way. Every was fresh and flavorful. I will definitely be visiting again. BTW what I can say about her (waitress) is that she had long pretty hair and was literally running around lol amazing! ❤

Undoubtedly the best Thai food restaurant I’ve ever been to!! Jerry, the owner, is the kindest soul and opened up a table to our group just so I could celebrate my birthday! And the staff was equally as kind and servant-hearted...and of course the food was AMAZING!!! No doubt, I’m coming back here!!

Loved lunch here today. Very reasonable lunch prices from 11 to 3, they even serve soup with it.Ordered the Panang Curry and was very happy with my choice. I asked for 7 of 10 spice, couldve been a bit spicier but was amazing nonetheless. Clean, great service, and cozy atmosphere. Will be back for sure.
Delicious Thai dishes that will make you come back for more. Friendly and nice service with well fresh quality ingredients.We have been coming here for several years and my husband love Fried rice with shrimp here very much. Crispy Fried egg noodles with shrimp is so delicious. Also Larb Kai is very tasty and in generous proportion.
My five star review is changing to a one star due to the recent change in the orange chicken recipe. The orange chicken was the reason I would come here and it’s now not even the same. Whatever I just got in my order was honestly horrible in comparison. I would rather have the Panda Express orange chicken than the new recipe. Portions have also gotten smaller lately too. Sad to see this place going downhill.
That place is off the hook, fantastic! I have no clue what the other reviewer is talking about.. every other site (urban spoon, yelp, etc) has glowing reviews of this place, and its easy to see why.Their won-ton soup is the best I’ve ever had – just wonderful. The green curry is still making me drool just remembering it. The heavenly noodles lived up to their name (especially with rice noodle substituted for the crispy). The fried spring rolls were so crispy as to be unreal. The jasmine rice smelled wonderful, the basil is fresh.. everything you would of course expect in a good Thai restaurant and then some.My family of 4 stuffed ourselves like pigs at the trough, and even after a healthy tip, walked out of there under $50 and had food to take home.The only complaint (and that one small) of the evening was that they were a little slow in seating us.This is the kind of place where once the cook had filled everyone’s orders, came out to personally ask how we were doing and to play with our 3 y/o daughter.This is just a small, wonderful, Thai restaurant - and well be visiting it many times in the future.
Just give me a bag of cheetos or ramyen if youre going to give me this many empty carbs and a few pieces of meat for $20.
Update 08/2022: this place is still a gem. I still order from them atleast once a month. Still the best place for Papaya Salad in all of North county.***********We love this place for the curry, orange chicken and green papaya salad. This is probably our favorite place to get papaya salad.
They used to put a good size portion and now that the prices have gone up the portions have gotten smaller. The food is always good but I feel ripped off everytime I come.
I had always heard good things about this place, so I decided to try it a few weeks ago. We had fresh tofu spring rolls and pad see ew. The wrappers of the spring rolls were very thick and chewy. The interior was inoffensive, just stuffed with a salads worth of mediocre lettuce. The noodles were oily and lifeless, and there wasnt a lot of flavor one way or another. Im really disappointed because I thought Id found a good option for Thai in the San Marcos area. I hope that others have a better experience than I did!
Just amazing overall. As a vegetarian it is sometime hard to find food that is healthy and tastes good. The staff are so friendly too. Just a heads up, their spiciness levels are funny. A five could feel like a seven at times.

Omg! Delicious! I have been looking for basil fried rice with chicken that tasted like my favorite Thai restaurant had. They moved back to Thailand for family issues. I have found my favorite place! Thank you! I missed my favorite meal! And everything else was awesome!

Best Thai Spot in the world, and I say that with the utmost certainty. Tom Yum Soup is the best in all the land. Fried Tofu is perfection. Easily the most authentic Thai. Service and Hospitality are there as well. A must try.

I love coming here. The food is much more substantial than Palomars food court and for a much better price too. The soups are economical and packed with flavor. You can also get a free thai tea with your student ID.

Best drunken noodles in San Marcos in my opinion. The tofu is excellently made with stir fried texture, the veggies are tasty, and the spice level is always on point (usually). Everything tastes fresh and the owners is a really delightful person. The orange chicken here is also very delicious and both meals are generous in portion size so good for leftovers, as well. I will continue to order from here when I’m in the area.
My go to lunch Thai place in North County. I seem to always get the stir fry with chicken. Excellent flavors and authentic preparation keep me coming back. plus its a great value.
Ordered this because our usual place was charging 6 dollars more a plate. The egg rolls have frozen vegetables in them and the food is not great. Ordered a 7 and it came out a 2. Would not recommend. I took 4 bites of my food and threw it away!
Maybe Im biased because this is the first time place Ive ever been to but Ive been coming loyally for the last 7 years and its still my favorite after trying most in the local area I dont have a favorite but I am partial to Curry and the fresh rolls, best peanut sauce in town!

My husband and I have been coming here frequently for many years! Formerly known as Happy Changs, Sue Thai Om still has the same incredible chef (Sue), and continues to serve the best Thai food in San Diego County! We sometimes like to start by splitting a pot of Tom Kha soup (pro tip: add some rice in your soup for a more hearty meal). We also love the egg rolls and Thai Golden Bag apperizers! My husband usually orders the Heaven Noodles or Phad See Ew. I usually get either Yellow Curry or Pad Thai. You cant go wrong - everything on the menu is delicious!!
Super good vibes coming from the server! Really chill environment. Great for Palomar students who are out for lunch. You get a free iced coffee with your student I.D.And really great food! Mmmmmm....

Well, its a mid-week rainy night. I order online, says pick up is 20 minutes, I rush over, get a confirmation thats about 22 minutes, maybe extra from my long checkout looking at appetizers. I get there and they about 4 orders behind. Im waiting Well over 25 minutes for my order.

The Tom Ka soup rocks. Do yourself a favor and add steamed rice or fried rice in your bowl with the soup. Ask for fresh basil as well with your entree... really enhances the flavor
There are many choices around the immediate area but when it comes to flavor and the time you receive your items, this place will satisfy. I have stoped by a dozen times and each time is a good experience. You will enjoy.

Delicious food without being doused in sugar. My favorite is the Basil Beef, but everyone should try their Sweet & Sour. Its totally different than what you are used to!

So I read all the reviews on how gr8 this food is well its not even close we did take out and after 5 mins we thru it out and bought Chick fila Do yourself a favor and $$ try another place 50 bucks down the drain.
Pick-up lunch specials for six of us at work. Took 15-20 minutes for the food to be ready, inexpensive and tasty.

We read the reviews and they did not disappoint!Our super server, Tanya was super friendly and sweer! Turns out that the food was on par with the great service! We had some fresh rolls with tofu that Tanya called Thai burritos! They were huge and the accompanying peanut sauce was the best Thai peanut sauce Ive ever had.My daughter ordered pineapple fried rice and I ordered eggplant stir fry. Both were very good. We ended up with at least 1 or 2 more meals each because the portions were so generous. The prices were reasonable. The place wasnt too busy, so I hope you will try them and support this restaurant!

Their panang curry was absolutely delicious--so flavorful, and the spicy level was PERFECT. Level 6 had enough heat to keep me sweating and sniffling without obscuring the taste of the meal. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely return whenever Im in the area. Highly recommended.

I’ve been looking for a good authentic Thai place that brings the originality of Thai food without the sweetness for the American palate. A small family business with a extremely hard working young couple. Please come and support! I’ve loved the food and the service every time. Highly recommended!

2018-10-19 19:47:35Pad Thai was soggy and over-flavored in a bad way - lime on the plate was dried out. Chicken was flavorless and dry/overlooked. Hate to give a mom and pop low stars but this was just average edible food at best. Only saving grace is the spring roll that was included with the lunch special. Won’t be coming back.
