I was super impressed with how fast the food was brought out. Hot calamari, spicy garlic edemanme. After we ordered it was out in less than 5 mins. I dont know if it was not so busy, but we got our food quick. After appetizer was brought out, we ordered our rolls and another appetizer (soft blue shell crab). In less than 5 mins we had a roll on our table and in another 5 mins we had our second roll brought out along with out last appetizer. It waz all so good. I got a spicy tuna roll with no rice wrapped in soy paper topped with spicy scallops. When I took my first bite of scallop my eyes about popped out of my head. LOL. Those scallops had a flavor on them that made my taste buds dance with delight. Also the scallops were cold on top of my spicy tuna roll. I was expecting hot scallops, so my mouth got a double surprise. I noticed they did not have riceless rolls on the menu, but I asked they were willing to wrap any roll in soy paper instead of rice!! I honestly didnt catch the price, my friend snatched the bill and paid before I got to see it. All good food, fast service. They had a tv playing how they make diffrent dishes. I noticed I kept my eyes on the TV. Lol good experience. If Im ever in the neighborhood I will swing by and try a salad next time.

I love their food, and its a great hole in the wall. Im just surprise that its not often busy when I go here. They have great options to choose from. They dont just have sushi. They do have bento meals, noodles, and delicious appetizers. Ill be coming back for more. Try their Dragon Egg!

Its a place that kids like. The prices are cheap, and Im looking forward to it because theyre starting to serve Japanese-style ramen and Korean-style ramen. Its a famous restaurant, so I think itll be loved by a lot of people.

What a joke. Ive had better sushi at a gas station. We paid $82 for 5 rolls, jalapeno popper and a dragon egg. Beyond disappointed. I shoulda went to sprouts. The fish on top of the rolls was so thin, you can almost see thru it. Unbelievable. I dont think I wouldve been disappointed if the rolls looked like the pics on the menu. But they dont. They were half the size. Im so upset I may file a police report because I feel like I was robbed. Dont believe me? Try it out. Dont say I didnt warn you. Oh and btw the prices went up $4-5 from the pics in the Yelp menu.

Sugoi translates as amazing and is an apt description of this food. First time visitor, Monday dinner, I agree with the majority of the reviews. Delicious food! Yakitori Chicken; great portion size, flavorful and hot. 2 chicken skewers with onions, bell peppers, 2 pot stickers, 5 piece tempura; deep fried sweet potato, broccoli, onion ring, prawn, zucchini. Helpful wait staff, short wait time, average prices.

This is my overall FAVORITE sushi place! I LOVE sushi, it is my favorite food, and Sugoi really knows how to make their rolls good and fresh. Great quality sushi, and lovely dining experience, with always plenty of seating, at least whenever Ive been. Take-out is great too, Ive gotten that a few times when I didnt have much time for the dine-in. Still tastes great and pretty much no difference than getting dine-in!

Its my 52nd bday and were trying them for the 1st time.The rolls are so different, they dont over sauce them or use too much siracha. The japanese burrito was my favorite. Fresh and clean taste. the salmon was flavorless or they would get 5 stars. But over all I totally recommend this place.

This was our first time at this location. Ive concluded their Beaumont location is hands down better food. Others must agree with me as this place for a Friday night was dead. Their Beaumont location always busy so the service suffers...but much better food. I usually ordered one of six or seven of my favorites rolls. What they served at their Yucaipa is not the same nor do I like it as well. Ill continue going to their Beaumont location and just skip this one in Yucaipa.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Service was garbage. Waited 10 minutes before they even came and spoke to us, brought a plate of noodles first, then appetizers, then 20 minutes later we got 2 rolls and told me they were out of salmon sashimi and then we never received our third roll after an hour. We finally got tired of waiting after everyone at except my husband and told them to take it off the bill. Do not recommend at all.

Wonderful customer service! Ask for server Aaron and you wont regret it. He made mine and my girlfriends dinner very enjoyable. Always checking up on us when we needed water and was quick to remove dirty plates from our table. Overall a great experience with great customer service!

Most of the time this place is great. The only part I dont like is depending on the cook that day, the rolls come out differently, same ingredients so the taste is still good, but my husband and I split rolls, so when we are expecting 8 pcs and only get 5 or 7, bcz the rolls are wider, it makes it hard to share. Besides that detail, this is our go to sushi place. The waiting staff is pretty great, and the ambiance is nice for a special evening out or dinner with the family. Good prices and great tastes.

Absolutely fabulous food with flavors so good, you won’t need to dip into sauces.I came in for lunch and the place was clean and everyone was on task. I sat at the bar and ordered the Jalapeño Poppers Crab as an appetizer and had to order it again as it was delicious. I followed up w the Dragon, baby lobster rolls, and 4 pieces of eel.Big portions of fish and swift service with the food.The baked mussels were moist, had added crab meat, and slid off the shell easily.I have been here more than a few times before and this place hasn’t had an “off day” yet. Great food and excellent service. It’s worth looking for this place hidden in the back of the complex.

The fish was fresh, the service was excellent. We like the very personable Sushi Master. He was very engaging and loved to tell stories of when he had his own sushi bar. This is a good all you can eat sushi bar with excellent rolls but if you are into more exotic types sushi, you might want to go elsewhere. The menu said they have Uni (sea urchin) and Ama Ebi (sweet shrimp) but we were told they no longer carry it as its not on the all you can eat menu so it doesnt get ordered enough. Still, we enjoyed our dinner here. The Salmon collar was also good.

I just discovered the Yucaipa location. I ordered online and my order was perfect! The food was delicious and fresh. Each item in my order, from the teriyaki beef to the sweet potato tempura, was very, very tasty. Sugoi Sushi has gained a loyal, frequent costumer. Great lunch options, great service. The guy who helped us out was fast and informative. The all you can eat is also definitely worth the money. If youre not feeling sushi, they have a plethora of other Japanese dishes to choose from. The tonkatsu pork and grilled salmon are my favorites. Though they dont (at least I didnt notice) have any ramen options, thats definitely not what you come for. The fish is fresh, the service is fast, and I dont think theres much more you can ask for. If you dont like a loud and busy atmosphere this is a great spot to find the sushi youre craving. Its tucked behind in the shopping center away from the street and doesnt attract a lot of attention, which can be a blessing or a curse depending on the vibe youre looking for.

We have had 2 experiences with this restaurant in the past month. The first was a takeout order which was very good. The second, last night, was dining in and was even better. It’s helpful to compare it to the way it was as Tokyo Sushi under previous ownership. The aquarium is still there! The stinky carpet has been replaced with hard-surface flooring and the booths seemed newer and cleaner. Most importantly, though, was the quality and quantity of food. The tempura was perfect and very hot. The rolls were nicely presented and much larger for the same price. Our party of 5 shared 5 rolls and a bento box along with a mixed tempura plate, sweet potato tempura plate and two bowls of miso soup. We came away stuffed and happy. We will continue to enjoy and recommend the new incarnation of our former favorite place for sushi in Yucaipa.

Wow… I tried to give this place a chance. 1st… I tell them about my sons shrimp/crab allergy and order his roll special.. no shrimp! No crab! Roll. His roll comes with crab. Sent back. 2nd.. baked green mussels $9.00 for 4… “4”! Oh these are gonna be good! I ordered 2 orders. NOPE! burnt, no toppings, no masago even when added. Overpriced rice. Quality is good, but portion sizes are dramatically off. $9 Sashimi for 5 pieces of salmon that are so small I wouldve gotten more by ordering salmon sushi from a competitor. A house special roll that is $1 a piece for nothing more than a California roll.

Went with Dan tonight ordered 5 rolls, 3 nigiri orders, 2 bowls of soup, 1 salad, 1 edamame.Didnt get anything for 15 minutes. Had to ask for the starters. Asked again 10 minutes later. This went on. At the end, we had to ask for each item and then only got 3 of the 5 rolls.It was a disaster and it wasnt even a really busy night.They gave discounts and free ice cream.Seemed like the staff was having an off night.

YUMMY! We really enjoy this place. The quality is great and the sushi is flavorful. Even the kids like eating here. Chicken yaki soba is good, volcano roll, aloha roll, raindow roll and ofcourse the California roll is a sure crowd pleaser. The Miso soup is flavorful. And the iced green tea pairs nicely. If you order all you can eat be warned that the rolls are smaller and have less fish BUT you can order as many as you want. They will charge you a fee if you dont finish all of the rolls you ordered during all you can eat too. Not to fond of the all you can eat but everything else is amazing. You can do a test like we did. Ordered the same roll off of the all you can eat. And the regular menu and it was noticeably different but both tasted great.

Unfortunately if you like really great sushi youll not find it here. The lack of customers in the restaurant should have been a dead give away of the lack of care put into what they call rolls. The first thing every sushi bar should be proud of is there rice. Which came as huge surprise, and let down, that Ive had better rice from a panda express. The bill was comparable to any other sushi bar, which begs the question, why such horrendous food. I ordered 4 seperate rolls to try amongst friends, and we all agreed they had either tasted the same or had little to no taste at all. A huge let down because sushi is known to be so explosive with its flavors. Id hoped to find some good sushi from my local sushi bar, and although I know we arent in Japan, just like their sushi...this place has left a bad taste in my mouth.

If you have to have sushi then sure... But in all honesty it was not my cup of tea. Catepillar roll was chilled because they dont cook their unagi fresh and instead just use refrigerated unagi amd throw it in. But because its cooked prior it is a bit mushy... and then it is over powered with a teriyaki drizzle on top. The california roll, which is a basic, had a very strong flavored mayonaisse. Not impressed one bit.

Theyve gotten better. However, the wasabi is not spicy at all, and that skimp on thr portions. You know, your customers know when your being cheap. Dont be obviously frugal, but be generous in some areas. Thats how you make the TV shows and WORD gets around. Remember, word of mouth is your best form of advertisement. Very good nigiri. Vladimir, was a great server. I started with 3 stars, but Vladimir allowed me to give yall another. Lucky.
