This is the best Thai food in the Oakland area! My friends and I came here for a lovely dinner. Between the three of us, there were so many dietary restrictions (nut allergy, gluten free, vegan). We started off with Crispy Tofu and Vegetarian Spring Rolls. We shared several dishes: Vegetable Pad See Ew, Basil Eggplant and Pumpkin Curry. The kitchen and the servers were so thoughtful of the allergy and the dietary restrictions. All the dishes were delicious! I had Thai tea and it was really good; I thought it tasted pretty authentic! Jack (the owner and chef) is so sweet; he sent the most amazing Mango Sticky Rice to our table for dessert. Will definitely continue coming back and taking my friends here for great Thai food. I highly recommend coming here; the food is delicious and the staff is so kind, thoughtful and efficient.

This place is my staple Thai restaurant (best I’ve personally found in NY and CA) for vegan pad Thai. Been coming here from in and out of state for 4 years and the food is consistently delicious. Its always challenging to find vegan Asian food and this place is a breath of fresh air, and the staff has always been very friendly. Highly recommend!

First time here and loved it. All other reviews were spot on. Excellent flavor, great service, fair pricing. Used to go to Sabuy Sabuy...theyre done and gone.......This is totally our new spot !

Vegan friendly. It’s clearly marked on the menu what they are able to make vegan. Food’s great, too. I like the Tom Yum, Pad See Ew, and fresh rolls. Have only ordered to go.

The basil tofu was well cooked. I thought the pad Thai was a bit too sweet—it needed more sour. But worse than the sweetness was the overcooked shrimp, which were tough and rubbery. I love curry puffs but Sukho’s version forgot about the puff part. Their version comes in thin won ton skins deep fried vs the flaky, mouthwatering crust that give the delicacy its name. The vegetarian potato filling was nicely flavored with curry, though.

This place doesnt look unusual, but the person doing the cooking deserves kudos. Ive been twice, the second time taking my skeptical husband who ended up agreeing with me that its the best Thai food weve had in a long time. The pad kee mao and the duck soup were both terrific.

Weve tried many Thai restaurants in East Bay - this one is the best! This is the most flavorful Thai food, and the ingredients are always really fresh. Try the Kao Soi! Bonus - most dishes can be made gluten-free!

Pretty good Pad Thai! I love when I can taste the tamarind. And a squeeze of lime juice on top is Oh. So. Tasty.Boyfriend got the chicken fried rice and I thought it tasted like they used fresh ingredient. Plus! Always.Also got the crispy chicken wing. Bomb!Would of took pictures but I was hungry. And it was too good.

Foods are amazing but services are very poor. Me and my family, Asians, visited tonight for dinner but I was very upset with their service and how they treated us. The staffs kept walking by and refilling the water to other tables but they didn’t refill the water to my empty glass until I asked for it. The staffs should get diversity training and not to discriminate Asian people, no matter where they come from or who they are.

I am working for Doordash, I arrived at the place, the order was not ready in time, I was waiting more than 10 minutes to pick up the order. I have 3 more dashers ahead of me who was waiting to pick up their order for a very long time either. One of the workers in the store was rude when I asked him about my order. The worker spoke to me in very impolite manner.

Have been here a few times and the food is excellent. Im a little obsessed with Thai curry and their green and panang are both really solid.Our last phone order took kind of a long time, but they were apologetic and threw in a Thai iced tea.In short, think this is the best Thai option in North Oakland.

Food is above average. The environment is nice inside, and great location. Service was poor. As soon as walked in the host seemed upset that we were there at 8:22pm- although the restaurant doesn’t close until 9:30. She ended up letting us in but it was awkward and NOT a great first impression.

This is absolutely the best restaurant anywhere! Its been our neighborhood favorite for decades, even before the present owners. Food is delicious, fresh, not oily, no msg, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. And the new decor is beautiful. All this for a $$ restaurant is unexpected and wonderful.

Ordered with a group of 5 and after everyone’s food was brought out got asked if I ordered anything. Was then told it would be another 10-15 minutes to get my food (Massaman beef curry). Never received any sort of apology for the mistake and server just said, “Ok you don’t want food? Thank you,” and went about her work. She never once came over and asked how our food was until everyone was done eating to ask if we needed take home boxes. Also never got water or beverage refills. Our group was basically ignored after the server realized the mistake. Giving two stars because everyone else’s food looked good. Service was terrible.

The best Thai restaurant in the area. Varied menu, several vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Several of the dishes are organic. All are very well prepared. The seats and tables are comfortable, and the atmosphere is tranquil.

Was going to try a different thaispot than my usual in Rockridge. Very rude and unwelcoming staff upon entering (12/21/2021 ~7:30pm). Went to Bankok Garden just up the street within walking distance. Much better service.

Our favorite dish was the yellow curry with chicken. We also ordered edemame and wonton soup. Everything was served with generous portions. The menu was a bit confusing but all in all we had a nice meal and the service was wonderful.

This is my second time here and they did not disappoint. I love places that are consistently good all around.I ordered the Green Thai Curry fried rice with chicken and mango pineapple curry. Both dishes were extremely flavorful and well portioned.When I went, the restaurant was fully packed but our waiter was extremely kind and attentive. I loved the ambiance and the decor of the place too. The chef even came out and checked in on us since things got a bit busy. I appreciate the hospitality here so so much.This is definitely my go to spot now. Great work Sukho Thai :)
