They make the best green onion pancakes! Also, it’s incredibly hard to find a place that makes julienned potatoes (土豆丝) and I love the tartness you get from theirs. It’s a taste of home.
Well, atmosphere is probably a 5!The food is a 10!And... they always go out of their way to gift something extra for the meal.I love the menu and food is always ready on demand!
Me and my husband have been coming here for I think close to 10 years now.Their food is always so good!My favorite here is the hot and sour soup. I havent had a better hot and sour soup anywhere else I have been.They always give you such large portions and we are never unhappy with anything we have chosen to try.Definitely would recommend!
Absolutely fantastic little Chinese restaurant. So hospitable also. The lady who works here is so sweet and makes it really a wonderful environment. The complimentary watermelon and grape platter at the end was a fantastic touch and incredibly sweet. Will come back next time I’m in the area.
This place has the best dim sum. Its xiao long bao soup dumplings, spicy pork wantons and cucumber salad match that of Din Tai Fung [although the dim sum selection is smaller] In So Coast Plaza! Su Mai the owner makes her own chili sauce and adds no additional salt and uses only the best super secret soy sauce. The service was fast and friendly...And its right here in HB!
Ordered 3 different dishes... all were delicious!! Sue Mae is a wonderful host/ server... she provided us with great customer service. Gave us a dish to try on the house... #3 dumplings in a spicy sauce...OMG! Will be ordering them every time we go!!! The sauce is out of this world! We ate the dumplings & used the sauce on other items. Found a fantastic Chinese restaurant & will be going back there soon!!
Expertly done Chinese food. Family owned, the son took our order and the mother came to ask how we liked it when we finished. Mu Shu Pork, Pan Fried Noodles with beef and a good sauce. My husband and I really enjoyed eating there. Yum!
Decided to try this place since its really close to home and was very disappointed. Ordered the Orange chicken which was very bland and not spicy like the menu states. However, the woman working was really nice and added some fried bread bites(not sure what they were) which were actually enjoyable. If only the food matched the service.
Was visiting Huntington Beach for work and found this place. Ordered the wonton soup, potstickers, and sesame chicken with some hot tea. The wonton soup was my favorite part as it one of the best I have had. All the food was fresh, hot and tasted delicious. Happy I found this place.
Authentic Northern Chinese food made by cooks from Northern China. Just like homemade. Not Americanized with sweet and sour sauce. Especially the dumplings remind me of my mothers cooking from my childhood. You just have to try different kinds of food on the menu. Explore. Dont let the Irish name fool you. This is good Chinese food. I only ordered take out, so cant speak to in-restaurant service. But the food is always quality and they are generally ready in line with their estimate. And they are very friendly too!

I went here for the first time today for Mother’s Day with my family. Seven of us we treated to the most amazing food and service!! Family owned and they truly make us feel special. I highly recommend this wonderful hidden gem.
If I could give this place a zero star, I WOULD! It was overpriced, the portions were small, and the chicken was nothing but fat. On top of all that, the staff was totally rude! I will not be returning here ever again.
I love this place. They are so nice and always smiling. The food is good and they have a good variety... Though I usually get fish with black bean sauce and my husband likes the Kung Pao chicken.

I use to live in New York, and the chinese food from there is delicious, when I moved here I found this restaurant through Google, And when I saw the menu I thought that what I see looks similar to New York chinese food and I tried and was good but that is like 10 years ago. Now the food is not good anymore I ordered some food yesterday for delivery I ordered house special Lo mein that was supposed to have pork, beef, chicken shrimps and have nothing no shrimps no pork just beef and chicken and thats no good because the price is $15.00 for a plate and also the taste of the food is not good anymore so disappointed about this place, I dont recommend this place to anybody sorry
The food was good but now it is just horrible.... Service is NOT good but the food is smaller size and no more egg roll dry, no flavor, rubbery... The kitchen doesnt know what theyre doing back there. They playKorea, there television loud!

Dont let the name Sullivan throw you off. This restaurant serves really good Chinese cuisine. I discovered Sullivans about 8 weeks ago and have become a regular.
I love this restaurant for its freshness (we could hear the vegetables being chopped as we waited for our meal), its ambiance, and great customer service. I will never hesitate to return.
Food is to expensive here! I paid for order, that I usually pay $8-$12, $34 o_0. I said I dont eat meat, only sea food, but I still get alot of meat in my sea food soup. Only rice cost me ~$6 : (

Best Chinese food Ive ever had. The staff is very kind and inviting too. I recommend the Pork Wontons and the Pork Xiao Long Bao.
Never even delivered. We called after 1 hour and were told maybe 30 more minutes. They charged us but never cared to make our order! Don’t go here. Horrible customer service. You’ll be lucky if they decide to deliver your food.
The owner is soo nice and the food is soo good no wonder they have been in business for 17 years. Definitely try the salt and pepper chicken wings.

2023-03-24 02:35:15Delicious, fresh ingredients, skillfully cooked - tea bar is a lovely compliment. Dishes are flavorful and well cooked instead of being hidden by heavy sauces. Onion pancake is a treat. Dumplings are lovely. Walnut shrimp and orange chicken are crispy without being overly sweet. Vegetables in every dish are super fresh. I don’t know how I have lived in HB so long without discovering Sullivan but, now that I’ve found it, it’s our go-to for Chinese food. Don’t miss the sizzling rice soup!

I guess they don’t give out any fortune cookies anymore…. Good thing I made my own white rice at home….. I wouldn’t recommend this place, I’m sure we can find a place that is good with reasonable prices…..

2023-10-13 01:15:40I dont understand the good reviews - got sesame chicken for takeout and it was so awful I assumed there was some kind of mistake, so for the first time in my life I took my takeout back to the restaurant. I asked for pork fried rice instead and its at least edible, but perhaps the worst Ive had from a restaurant. I love Chinese food and get it regularly as an indulgence, but this was just a big disappointment. And its pricey: $18 for fried rice? Or $18 for a chicken dish but it comes with nothing but the chicken - no rice and not even any broccoli or peppers or anything in it. Definitely will not go back.

I’ve been here as a guest for a couple years since 2016 I came down to so-cal from Bay Area . The owner sumei is already a friend for me as well as her families nowadays. Xiao long bao and dumplings are my favorites, plus delicious plates such as orange chicken and potstickers. Sumei’s service and attitude are the world class ! The restaurant won my 5 star review, I’d like to give one more star if google allows it. Thank you SUMEI！

2023-08-27 03:16:45Ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, the chicken was incredibly chewy and tasteless. Very gross. Same with my mom and brothers food. When we complained about the food to our server he just walked away and gave us the bill. To top it all off, the fortune cookies we got were all incredibly stale. Additionally, the food was very overpriced for the amount you get in general. One of the worst experiences Ive had at a restaurant. Do not eat here, youre better of going to Panda Express or The Wok Experience.

2019-09-24 02:28:21Get the dumplings! All of their dumpling dishes are made from scratch. I highly recommend the pork dumplings in spicy sauce. The sauce is only mildly spicy and has a wonderful rich flavor. The Xiao Long Bao is nice but not as good as other places. The potstickers are great. The soups are rather flavorless. However Im told that the Special Wonton Soup is different and better than the regular wonton soup. The rest of their Chinese food is nothing special.
