The Best Thai in town. I love everything on their menu, very fresh and reasonably priced. The ribeye dish is amazing. Their summer rolls are so delicious. I also love the easygoing vibe and the super friendly staff. A hidden gem.

My go-to place for Thai food in the area. From dining in to take out and delivery, Ive enjoyed every dish Ive tried. The best value and variety, in my opinion, is the curry à trois. The Khao Soi is also delicious and worth a try for a traditional Northern Thai dish.

Theyre so kind and attentive, definitely reminds me of how service was thought of before our descending into general meanness.The food is always EXCELLENT and they have GREAT cocktails that arent $15-20 with like zero alcohol like soo many places post covid.Theyre great about dietary restrictions and menu changes. And they usually remember after 1 visit which is insanely rare nowadays!!!Theyre genuine, kind and clearly care. This is one place I eat almost once a week. Being a vegetarian its difficult sometimes to get good food but this place has very good vegetarian options particularly spicy fried rice, pineapple rice, veggie rolls, summer roles are to die for. Nice ambience, I mostly do takeout. Their red veggie Curry is also very good and good proportions. They also have a bar and variety of cocktails. Can go with friends or a date.

I ordered take out, Pad Thai (chicken) and Drunken noodles (chicken). Really good food, freshly cooked. You have to ask for the sauces, they do not automatically include it in the takeout bag. The ambience is really good should you decide to eat inside

I love this place ! 🇹🇭❤️ I enjoyed the Pork stake and Pad thai. The pork dish was so nice and familiar flavor to Korean 😘(두툼하고 고급진 돼지갈비맛 스테이크 !) And Pad thai was little bit salty but various ingredients were tasted harmonious. The mood was lovely and price was reasonable. There are some street parking spots and those are free after 5 pm on weekdays.

You can have higher expectations at Thai restaurants with certain items on the menu, such as som tum (papaya salad) and Thai grilled meats with sticky rice. There is also a happy hour with a great selection of drinks and appetizers. Tare tare is highly recommended! Came here with a group of 8 and had a great time. Loved the pad see ew and sea bass.Service was a slow after drink orders but isnt a problem if youre the to catch up with folks. I had to call someone over to place an order after waiting for someone to take our order for 20 minutes, but at least food came pretty quick afterwards. Happy hour is 5 to 7, cheaper apps and drinks.Delicious food, very good prices. I love that there was a curry sampler entree with all three major curries (yellow, red, green)! Usually I dont get to try all three. The curries had plenty of meat (or tofu) and rich sauces that were flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. It wont be too much for most people at the base level - if you want way more kick, I would ask. We also got corn fritters. Delicious and crispy, plenty of them especially at happy hour prices. and we got a Summer Roll - similar to a veggie spring roll but with avocado. Plenty of comfortable seating - I was super surprised to see so few people there. Staff was very friendly and helpful - they moved a nearby table together with our table once we got too much food, which is quite unusual. We didnt even ask them or anything. They were very understanding. The food also had beautiful presentation; hopefully you can see the pictures.I love this place and am definitely coming back. Hopefully I will have room for dessert next time. 😋Update: I made a subsequent take-home order and got the mango sticky rice!! 🥭 🍚 It was delicious.

We had a reservation at 7:30pm on Saturday 08/05/2023 for 5 people for my brothers birthday. We walked in at 7:35pm (5 minutes late) and were greeted quickly and told just a few minutes.At 7:53pm, we were still not seated - I walked the restaurant to check if their was even an open table, as I was doing this, one of the female servers pointed out the table and said we could go ahead and sit down. She didnt walk us to the table, she pointed in the corner towards the table and wanted us to walk ourselfs to the table.After sitting down, for ~10 minutes, no one greeted us. Finally the same female server brought us waters and said 5 minutes. I voiced up and said can we at least order some drinks? At this point we are ~35 minutes past the reservation time and still dont even have drinks on the table.We waited another ~10 minutes, still no drinks or anything. We got up and walked out at this point and went to The Branch Line Bar next door, walked in, sat right away, and despite the establishment being busy, received drinks quickly, and food appropriately.This is a shame for Summer Summer, despite suppose to have such good food, the service is an absolute disgrace.

I usually don’t give negative feedback but I feel something is not right here. I paid $26.50 for this mignon plus another $5.00 for a mineral water for lunch. After that, I was still hungry. It was good but I would expect to feel satisfied. I would think twice about going there again.

I purchased the mango and sticky rice and 3 other delicious treats. After purchase the cashier told me I couldnt wait there and come back in 20mins I Took a seat next to a Dasher since it was plenty of seats available. Then the lady preparing items behind the bar at the front door question what did I want and I kindly said I just ordered and showed the receipt her reply was come back when its ready 🥺 my reply was Im more comfortable waiting ☺️ With a big smile and not rude she then went to the kitchen and told them something so a gentleman came out the back, I showed my receipt and bought a few more items to lighten up the tension. Shortly after the purchase the Gentleman brought me the items I thanked him and showed my receipt again from my first order reminding him that I am still waiting for my first order. The Lady behind the bar asked why I havent left yet and I felt so Out Of Place And Uncomfortable 😣 I explained that my first order was not received, She then went to the Back again and 3 Staff members came out Including the cashier and the Gentleman who brought me the second order, I explained and he went to the back and bagged half my items and handed to me to leave lucky a young Lady from the back brought out the other half of my order The Gentlemen re bagged my order And I thanked them. An all time favorite for Thai. Everything we’ve ever ordered has been delicious. My favorites are the Roti with green curry, gingerly ginger, and the salmon bowl. For drinks the lychee martini and ginger martini are delicious. The portions are generous and there’s never a wait to be seated. Service can be a tad slow but they’re very friendly.

I think this is the best Thai restaurant in Emeryville. I am vegetarian and I have tried all vegetarian items here. All the items are good. I almost always try pineapple fried rice and it is good all the time. They are always consistent regarding the taste.In past they had messed up with my order by adding egg in it, but they fixed it by making fresh fish again. So if you are vegetarian then check your served item twice.Curries are good too. I generally order yellow curry which is good.They also offer cooking classes, but I have not attended any. I guess, it is good too.

I had the beef curry noodle with the lunch special and I was really disappointed. The curry tasted really watered down and there was literally 4 tiny little beef pieces that were tough. Also, I have tried many different Asian cuisine in my life and I never seen or taste what they claim to be a spring roll. Thats not a spring roll as shown in the picture... I definitely dont recommend this place if you are trying to explore authentic Asian cuisine.

Ive only been here once so far but was really impressed. I walked in on a whim as the menu looked really good. I had an appetizer and a soup (and Thai iced tea) and ask the dogs was really good. The Tom Yum soup was really really good. The flavor was complex (not just sour and hot). I want to come back many times to try more dishes. The service was friendly and pleasant as well. Yes theyre more pricey than most Thai restaurants but theres a good reason.

This is the most criminally underrated Thai restaurant in the entire bay area. There are seriously no mediocre dishes on the menu. Ive eaten at this place for years and every meal has been incredibly delicious. Like, seriously, top notch. Its tough to make a recommendation off of the menu other than all of it. This is fine dining quality food in a super low key, comfortable, non-pretentious atmosphere. Decent prices, too.The staff are always friendly and accommodating with answers to questions like what is the Thai way to eat this? They also always double check to make sure you know if youre about to order something insanely spicy.Theres always rockstar parking if youre there after about 6pm, too.Aaaand theres outdoor seating that even predates the pandemic, so you can eat outside if you want/need to.Just go.

The name and location of the restaurant is kind of low key and I worry that they dont get the exposure or business it deserves. The bay area is loaded with all sorts of Thai food. This place has really clean tasting food, which keeps us coming back for more. COVID delivery has not only been fast and reliable, but the food seems to hold up well (taste and texture) after delivery. Some of our favorite dishes include the rice noodle and the duck red curry (among others). Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes too.

I’m changing my review. I went back to this restaurant several times now and ordered through Caviar. The food has been outstanding. The portions have been excellent. In fact, I ordered brown rice with the chicken fried rice and it made the taste even better. Highly recommended. I think I caught them on a bad day before. Since they have mended their ways I will be back to being a loyal customer.Been ordering from this restaurant for awhile now. The food is pretty good but on my last takeout order they have substantially downsized the portion. The menu is a little pricey but the portions were always good. I gave Summer Summer a rating of two stars a month or so ago, rooting for them to redeem themselves (because their food is out of this world), and they did that and more today. Despite the fact that the delivery of our food took three times longer than it should have (according to both the delivery service company, and Google maps), our meals still managed to arrive piping hot, and the flavors were simply amazing. Im afraid that it would only be the outfits that deliver Summer Summers food that would let them down, unfortunately. This is the second bad experience in a row that I have had with delivery (I have since learned that Summer Summer DID try to contact me to let me know that they werent able to fulfill part of our order, and that it was the delivery service that I used who canceled my order at the last minute. The delivery service implied that the cancelation was Summer Summers fault.)But back to the positives! I cannot say enough about the Summer Summers food - in fact my words wont do it justice. If you are wavering on whether or not to give them a try... DO IT! I promise that you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Summer Summer!Dont get me wrong - my office and I LOVE their food. It is authentic and delicious and well done. But they really disappointed me today - enough that I am writing this review, and hoping that they can bring their rating back up to the five stars that they really deserve. Our office orders pretty frequently from Summer Summer - like I said, its a popular choice for our office, because their food is very good. We routinely order 10-12 meals at a time. Today, as I anxiously watched status of our order online, I received an email saying that our order was canceled per MY request. I assure you that I most certainly did not cancel lunch for myself and 10 other hungry people that I work with everyday. Turns out that Summer Summer sent out the wrong order with our dasher, and then realized that they had food availability issues, and could not fulfill our order. Instead of simply calling us to see if we would accept substitutions (which I am sure we would have - we were hungry!), they instead canceled the order without contacting us. Not cool. If we didnt enjoy their food so much, I would say that we wont ever order from them again. Their food is that good, that I cant say that with certainty. But I do know that I will hesitate before ordering from them again. Its a shame.

The older lady who was serving us just ignored us. The restaurant was going to close at 830 and we got there for our reservation at 745. The lady acted like she was too bothered to take care of our table. Didnt even give us the right menus and after 15 minutes they never even took our drink. Mind you this place was not busy and everyone else was being sat and served but we were just shooed away!Another disappointing apsect was she just rushed to a table that was connected to the people next to us. We could hear every word of their conversation amd itnwas inappropriate for a dinner. Very disappointing and will definitely not come back. I used to live around the corner and would go here all the time. Easily one of the best places to eat in Emeryville and IMHO the greater Bay area. Never had a single even mediocre dish. Highly recommend the salmon pineapple curry. Its an absolute flavor explosion. The entrees are great, but do yourself a solid and save room for dessert. The Lemon Snowball should probably be considered a schedule one narcotic! The peanut bomb is highly recommended for those who enjoy a more rich chocolatey caramel type dessert experience... Now I recall why I gained so much weight living here🤤. WORTH IT!

One of the few places open a bit later for dinner in the neighborhood. Prices are typical, and theres a lunch special price on most dishes. The drunken noodles were good, though the chicken was a bit dry, medium spicy was hotter than expected which I actually liked. Service was fast and very friendly and the atmosphere was good. This will probably be a regular dinner stop for me.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! After being regular customer for many years, we are finally fed up with the attitude of their staff, especially from the woman who claimed herself the manager. This is the third time our pickup order got stolen from inside their restaurant and we had to wait for them to remake it?! The manager tells me that this is not our problem if it got stolen. Found this spot conveniently located next to the Amtrak station, perfect for takeout in between train rides. Got an order of Pad Thai and a peach juice. Really good flavor, didn’t skimp on the peanut sauce or portion. Loved the mix of proteins with the noodle dish, shrimp, tofu, and chicken instead of having to pick just one like most restaurants. Only downside was the included Spork was a challenge to eat this with.

Their Roti is not good at all, pad kee mao is ok, sea bass is good.I really don’t have much to say about this place besides the bad service. There are only two Thai places I routinely go to in the north bay ( I love thai and try multiple new locations a month) and this is one of them.The best green curry Ive ever had and their roti took me back to Jamaica - very authentic.Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner outside. We got the spicy fried rice impossible and the drunken noodles with tofu, both vegan style and they were sooo delicious and seasoned perfectly! The draft beer was only three quarters full with an extremely foamy head to the beer. Which brings me to the service aspect of the restaurant. We were there after the lunch hour rush and the restaurant was not even half full, and yet I had to catch the eye of the waitress several times to get attention. We were never asked about wanting another beer or if we wanted anything else. Service staff seemed poorly trained in paying attention to customer needs. All in all, not the same experience as the first time and not sure we will return for a third time.

Also, when did restaurants in general stop packing up your doggy bags for you and just slap to-go containers on the table for your to fill up? Once there I headed straight to the bathroom where I had a mild adventure.In the morning my girlfriend, while getting ready to head to the airport, called and asked me specifically if I had experienced stomach upset. This restaurant was poorly suited to my palette. However, the storefront and the presentation of the meal were absolutely gorgeous, and the servers were attentive. The space is very open, and tables are separated enough that you know space was not an afterthought.In an attempt to further inform the decision on whether or not to eat here, I will describe what it was about my particular meal that I did not like. Perhaps it is a proper fit for others tastes, and if so, Id hate to ward them off. The dish that I ordered was the khao soi, and perhaps my strongest criticism for it is the flavor of the curry. The sweetness of it suggested to me that there was far too much coconut milk for my liking. While it was an acceptable if unappealing sweetness at first, it quickly became a bit too cloying for my tastes. This was the greatest dealbreaker for me, and it led to me being unable to finish my meal.However, the dish was not helped by the noodles which accompanied it. This is perhaps a criticism which I think most people would have, regardless of their tastes. The noodles were soggy, and it seemed as though they had been soaking up the curry long before the dish arrived at the table. This led to them being heavy, gummy, and overall unappetizing. The dish would have benefited greatly from simply adding the noodles at a time closer to serving the dish. Either that or they could have used noodles which were less absorbent.With all of this having been said, I may be willing to try this place again at a later date, though I would probably have to order a different dish.

Literally the worst Thai that Ive ever been served in a Thai restaurant. I know Thai. I trained with a famous Thai chef. This is just plain bad. My experience:--Pad Thai was absolutely flavorless. The sauce lacked tamarind. It lacked sugar. It lacked fish sauce. In other words, it lacked pad Thai sauce.--You should not have to cut the noodles with knife. They came to the table as a gelatinous mass that had to be cut with a knife. And after cutting, they were so chewy that it was like eating a rubber tire.--The fried tofu tasted like it had been fried in VERY old rancid oil. They seriously need to clean their fryers.--80 degree day, and the AC was off, and doors closed. It was sweltering inside.I ate perhaps 1/4 of my meal, and they offered to box it up for me to take with me. I love Thai. But I dropped the box in the first trash can that I came across after leaving the restaurant.I thought perhaps my experience was unique, because Id been given rave reviews. But since my visit 2 days ago, Ive spoken with two coworkers who were at Summer Summer on two different days, and they had the very same experience and swore they would never go back. One reported flies landing on her food throughout her meal.This was my one and only visit. I wont try it again. They won Best Thai Food in San Francisco in 2008. Apparently things have changed.
