Sumo Dog in Indio

Let me start by saying the food was great, the cashier was friendly and helpful, and it has a cool interior design. I had the Sumo Dog with tater tots; my husband had a Sumo Chili Dog with tater tots; and my son had a plain burger “dog”. Everyone agreed - the food is delicious! My son was so happy that the burger in a hot dog bun (literally as it sounds) was an option because he’s not a huge hot dog fan… plus, he got cheese to drizzle on top, and a new Sumo Dog fan was born.Now for the negatives. The tater tots are too salty. And, more importantly, the meal isn’t cheap! For the 3 hot dogs with sides and 3 drinks the total came out to $46!!! That’s crazy for a meal of hot dogs. We’ll be back, but it won’t be often.If you haven’t tried it, yet, I recommend going. Just be ready to shell out some cash if you plan on having the signature hot dogs they’re known for.

This place wasnt bad. I tried three different hot dogs my first time here. It was the sumo dog, miso katsu, and the bacon banh MI. My favorite out of those was the sumo dog, great flavor! The only downside is that the hot dog meat tastes very strong, and some bites that flavor overpowered the toppings. However, I still want to go back and try the other hot dogs.

Love this place!!! Omg, I love the concept and fusion of the Asian toppings. Now for the best part - they have vegan and gluten-free options! This made my day so much. The sumo dog and the toppings on the katsu dog (both of which are not 100% vegan) were absolutely amazing with the vegan dog and gluten free bun. You can remove toppings that aren’t vegan if you want. I was so excited to try the sushi rice tots and I loved them. I’ll be back for sure!!

A fun experience! I got the Miso Katsu, Bacon Banh Mi, 2 fries and 2 drinks. At the end of it all total sent was $40 -50. Not a cheap spot but worth the experience.

Had their chicago dog and their Bahn mi. Chicago is usually my favorite but this was pretty mediocre. Bahn mi was great. Had it with the pork sausage. Its weird to say a hot dog was refreshing but this was. AC didnt seem to be working when we went in list Saturday, was pretty warm and stuffy. All drinks and sides are a la Carte though I think I spied one combo advertises when I was there. Service was really helpful. Outdoor seating looks like it will be good when the weather cooperates more.

Fantastic new restaurant in Citrus Plaza. Great tasting hot dogs with cool Asian fusion dogs. I had a Bahn Mí Dog with a side of tots. All the drinks are canned, and overall it is a little pricey but well worth it! Five stars.

A unique twist to an old classic. Great flavors and variety. Beer was perfectly frozen foam. Did I mention Chili cheese tater tots! ..

New strip mall next to Ralphs on Jefferson - Canopy @ Citrus. Fun place with indoor & outdoor seating. Japanese inspired Dogs, Even serves Vegan dogs!! Tater tots were soooo good!!

They can vegan-ize just about any dog and have a beyond dog. I got the Katsu dog which was really interesting and delicious. My omni friends got the regular dogs and enjoyed them as well.

Service was good. Menu is very creative, lots of options, but the actual hot dogs themselves were pretty average. Bun wasnt warm and the hotdog itself had a rubbery exterior, as if it had been sitting for a while.
