2023-08-03 14:23:47This was my first time visit to Sun Nong Dan. My party didnt order a lot of dishes. The two that we ordered tasted pretty good. There wasnt a lot of service being offered but on the other hand we didnt need many. I felt the restaurant was like a big hall. It can get very noisy when there are a good number of dinners. One annoying thing was there was a few flies roaming around our table.

2023-11-14 19:59:14Always a hearty place to eat at whether you got a group or just solo. They open late so that’s a plus when you want to grab dinner later on in the night. Their soup is extremely hearty for single servings but their meat is also delicious for big parties!

2023-06-08 17:09:47Haven’t been here since Covid, and omg it feels good to be back and I really loved the new renovation. So bright and clean, very roomy too!Would recommend getting #3 combination for varieties, and #7 Galbi tang, the beef short ribs were so tender so good (my new fave now) Loved their banchan as well.Parking can be a little difficult at times (yea it’s a busy plaza) Service was friendly and nice. Will be returning soon!

2023-10-07 02:54:25Please keep in mind this review is only for this (SGV) location. I always give a 5/5 rating for the KTown and Rowland Heights locations.Food quality and taste: I ordered the Special (Teuk) Galbi Tang. Unfortunately, the soup and meal did not taste good. The flavor profile was very lacking and for the very first time, I had to add in salt to my soup. You can tell the soup was not cooked for a while so the flavors could develop and it seemed like the kitchen rushed to make the food. The side dishes were a bit lacking in taste as well, it didnt taste as good and didnt have as much texture as the KTown or Rowland Heights location.Service: Service was just okay. Definitely can tell the restaurant was understaffed, think there were about 5-6 waitstaff servicing 30+ tables. I only interacted with the waitstaff once, and that was when I ordered my food in the beginning. I initially was not planning to tip more than 10% due to the lack of service, but I understood the restaurant was understaffed and the waiters were trying their best so I ended up tipping a gracious amount.Ambiance: Modern and spacious, many tables for various party sizes.Price: $$ or $$$ based on your food item. My item was $21.99 - not including tip and tax.Overall Experience: 2/5. Terrible food taste and profile, mediocre service. Definitely lacking compared to the other locations. Do not recommend and will not come back.

2023-10-18 07:16:59When I first came to the United States, I ate here once a month. After the epidemic, I ate here several times. A new store was renovated. The place is large and the beef is still delicious.

2023-03-01 06:25:04Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We visited this restaurant for a late lunch, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Our waitress was excellent, providing attentive, friendly, and considerate service throughout our meal. She definitely deserves a 5-star rating. We ordered the Koh Galbi Jijm, which was more than enough to feed four people, priced at $95. We added cheese for an additional $8, and I highly recommend doing so as it adds even more flavor to the already delicious dish. The braised beef was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also appreciated the complimentary kimchi, which tasted great and was a nice touch to the meal.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

2023-04-06 05:18:02Sun Non Dang has the best Galibi Jjim Specialty in the area!! They are very famous in K-town and there is always long wait with horrible parking there. The San Gabriel location is very spacious and clean with plenty of parking. The Galibi Jjim is incredibly delicious, and the Korean braised short ribs are fresh/flavorful. The side dishes included radish, kimchi, and chives. They also have very good Korean oxtail and beef brisket soups as well.Quick tips: They are now open 7 days 24 hours as of March 2023. You must pay extra $8 to add cheese for the Galibi Jjim and you can thank me later! Rice cake is already comes with the Galibi Jjim but feel free to pay extra more if you’re a rice cake lover!
