Travel solo and stayed here for two nights. The location was perfect. Could walk pretty much anywhere in town. The parking lot and free parking was great and I felt safe leaving my car there. The rooms were the perfect size with a refrigerator and microwave. The place was very clean, cleaner than some big chain hotel rooms I have been in. Staff was kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

Spent 2 nights here in mid July. The room with 1 king bed was a bit small, but very clean. AC unit nice and quiet not like some motels. Convenient to the waterfront. Managers were very nice.

AMAZING stay!! 10/10 would stay here again! Great price! A/C in every room! Our room had upgraded wood floors and our friends had a nice, clean carpets floor (I believe renovation is in progress). The star of our stay was the lady that runs it! I spoke to her on the phone the day before we checked in; and she was so nice! Even though we opted to not have then down service, she came over when she saw our door open to see if we needed towels or anything at all! She was also available all the time to answer questions we had. Lastly, this place was CLEAN! I was impressed! You wont regret staying here!!

OK, if youre looking for a clean place to spend the night, but nothing more than that.All the furniture is from, like, 1960, except the TV, its from 2001, with SD resolution. The heat is a central Gas heating furnace, but it does have a thermostat, inaccurate as it may be. everything in the room was very clean though. There is plenty of parking space. The staff was good and professional.The location is great, quiet neighborhood, with a coffee place down the street, and a breakfast place a block or two away. The waterfront is a couple of block downhill, and everything seems to be safe.

The bed was comfortable and the owners were sweet friendly people. When the owner saw us in the morning she quickly approached and asked if we needed coffee, towels, or anything. As others have said, the rooms are small, but immaculately kept. The Wi-Fi is improved and we had no trouble streaming. The people who run this property couldnt be nicer and we enjoyed our stay.
Our new favorite place to stay! Even though this place has a small parking lot and less than probably 30 rooms, it is a wonderful place to stay. The people here are very kind, the location and price are great and the rooms themselves are lovely. We were surprised at how comfortable the bed and pillows were and at how clean and nice the room was especially since AAA only gives it a few stars. This place is a 10 in our opinion! Be sure to book in advance, most places in Morro Bay are full in the summer.
This is, by far, the best little Inn in Morro Bay! VERY nice rooms, exceptionally clean-inside and out. Comfortable beds. Lots of TV channels. Excellent heating and cooling system (should you ever need it in Morro Bay). The on-site owners of this little gem keep the rooms amazingly clean and homey and the grounds always spotless and bright with flowers everywhere. All of this creates one serious problem...theyre always full! Ive been known to rearrange my visits to town based on availability of a room here. Spoiled. Cant see myself staying in any of the other 100 or so hotels in this area.
Great location. Nice and quiet. Bed was comfy. Room was clean, however the ac unit was dripping water and the showers water pressure could of been stronger. Overall cute and convenient.
Quiet, clean, very comfortable beds, the right amount of space for everything you need to store in your room during your stay. This was my third visit. Each time Ive had outstanding service provided by Ann, the proprietor.
It was clean and mostly quiet but the mattresses were as hard as rocks! I stayed in room 4. Please replace your mattresses, I could feel the wires. My guess is other rooms have this issue. I will not be staying here again.
This is an old one story Motor Hotel that has been completely revamped and remodeled weve very attractive room. The rooms are clean and comfortable although they are missing some amenities like clock radios. But considering the price this is an excellent value for a clean and comfortable room.
The hotel is great, especially for the price. The woman who runs it is extremely welcoming and helpful and the room seemed to be recently renovated. The AC in our room didnt work but we were told about that in advance and we didnt really need it since it was beautiful 70 degree weather and the breeze that comes through the window. Id definitely stay there again.
This was so nice for the price and in a great location! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The decor was old-timey and cute. It is only a couple of minutes walk from downtown and the embarcadero. The owners were very nice and held onto our food which we left in the fridge for us.
Loved my stay here. Traveled alone for a wedding and felt safe. Staff were very friendly and accommodated my request when called the front desk. I will definitely be staying again on my next visit. They have a a/c unit which Ive read in other motels dont have which was a plus even though I only used it for a bit because the weather is amazing there. The scene out my window was beautiful! Everything was walking distance! I highly recommend Sundown Inn!
Very nicely remodeled older 50s style motel professionally brought up to date. VERY comfortable beds, nice tiled showers with good water pressure and lots of hot water, and a very nice couple who run the place. I am assuming that they are the owners as they obviously work very hard keeping the rooms and the grounds in tip-top shape. Right down the block from my favorite breakfast spot in Morro Bay....Dixies Cafe....try the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs if youre real hungry!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lady that helped us (while checking in, and provided things like towels, etc) was so kind and friendly. And I really appreciated that it was a single level motel. The price was reasonable for our midweek stay in September.The magic fingers vibrating bed was something Ive never used before. It was okay, but not like a massage bed. Our child thought it was fun.
Seriously, I don’t know how this hotel got all this positive reviews.room is very old & can use some remodeling.everything is tiny, walls are so thin i swear i head every word & every movement happened in the room next to us & of course we couldn’t sleep at all. We were so disappointed & we thought to leave but it was too late.We felt that we were deceived by the fake reviews & photos :(We stayed one night & it was a bad experience, the worst hotel we have been staying in & believe me we stayed in a lot all over the united states & the world..
Passing through the area, we booked a room for one night because of the good reviews and the fact that it was half the price of nearby Best Westerns -- and we were not disappointed! Our motel-style room was immaculately clean and comfortable, and stocked with a decent-sized fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, and small flat-screen TV. No complaints whatsoever, and wed definitely stay here again, even if we were staying for longer.

Nice place well worth the money. Too many hotels have slowly reduced the quality of their service but not here. This place isnt brand new but dont let that stop you from staying here. The place was clean even a little small but served the purpose for the overnight stay. Three short blocks to shopping and great view. I love it where its easy to park and get in/out of the room.

This little Inn is a great option when visiting Morro Bay...walk to anything and everything in town. Friendly, responsive staff...the place is quiet as can be despite being on Main Street. Wonderful comfortable nights sleep. Nicely appointed rooms with ample space and amenities such as refrigerator, microwave, easy free parking, and free wi-fi. A great value!! Regional parks and Botanical Gardens and other attractions are a few minutes drive and Highway 1 access could not be easier!! Enjoy!
Dont be fooled by the simple old exterior. The rooms are well renovated with modern look. The room we got had brand new flooring. The ceiling was also wood. Everything was pleasant bout this place and the owners were friendly

Very unprofessional, Wielieh Lin, dont know if he is owner or just a manager. Called harassing me from his cell phone, not once but twice. Threatened me, tried to cancel my reservation cause I wouldnt pull over and talk to him right this second. I refused to stay here after that and while my original credit card that I used to book this room with was reported lost since the booking, I had called the Inns number to let them know why it wasnt being able to be charged and was driving there as we spoke. His inability to wait the 3 hrs for me to arrive (I explained I was driving there as we spoke), rough and VERY rude communication earned him to be hung up on. Unclear why he felt it was okay to use the inns records to contact me from his personal phone and threaten me, but I would never recommend anyone to experience his lack of customer service.

Older motel run by the same owners for 57 years. It was our second time staying here. Very basic but nice. Price was very good only blocks from the embarcadaro.

2023-07-30 18:13:17Great stay for our first time in Morro Bay. Ann and her family have a classic beachside motel that was very clean, comfy, well-kept and visually appealing. The room wasnt modern yet had everything we needed... coffeemaker, fridge, decent bed, luxe towels and a nice bathroom with a fully-tiled shower. The sailing-themed wall mural was retro-cool, and the nicely-finished open-beam ceiling was a plus. Ann was so nice and fun to interact with, even while she was working hard cleaning the rooms and getting them ready for the arriving guests. Her work ethic and family pride are evident, and well stay here again for sure. Thanks, Ann!!!

Decorated with lace and doilies for a nice feminine decor. Shower is tiled for a nice upgrade. The owner is lovely and truly keeps the rooms clean.
