I kid you not when I say this place was FANTASTIC. Living nearby, I’ve been waiting for this place to finally open and today was the big day, so I knew I had to go!!Walking in right away, you’re hit with the cutest aesthetic and friendly staff. The menu is limited to a couple pages, but I feel that everything would’ve been a good choice; it all sounded so good. I came starving and ended up choosing the avocado toast, chilaquiles, and overnight oats.Avocado toast: The bread was thick and crunchy, bacon was crispy, and egg was perfectly poached. Avocado could’ve been thicker, but that’s okay.Chilaquiles: Not traditional, chips are not fried in the salsa verde so they stayed crispy (which I actually liked better!) so they are basically breakfast nachos. Salsa was amazing, I could drink the stuff.Overnight oats: Good! They are served chilled and have chia seeds mixed in, which is a nice touch. I like all the fruit on top too. It was not super sweet and was very filling. A nice thing to grab on the go I think.Coffee (no picture): I got a latte and it was so cute with a design. They have a big fancy machine, so I just knew it would be good. I was not disappointed! Wish I got some OJ to go with it - next time!Overall: The ambience for the place is great, everything looks like it was picked with care. There is lots of parking outside and even more seating inside. The staff was friendly and attentive and gave great suggestions to me. I would come here again! Glad to such a nice new spot to come too for weekend brunch!

Wow, where to even begin! I cant remember the last time I enjoyed going out for breakfast this much. I heard through word of mouth that a new breakfast/ lunch spot was opening up in the area and figured it was worth a try.The staff was extremely welcoming as we walked in and our server was lovely and patient with all of our questions. Everything on the menu looked incredible, but my friend and I ended up ordering the soup of the day which was a tomato basil soup, the Cobb salad, and The Daybreak, choosing the waffle option. Everything we ate was PHENOMENAL- you could tell all the dishes were made with fresh ingredients and packed with tons of flavor. If youre looking for a fresh modern twist on the all-american diner experience, you absolutely have to try this place out!

Excellent service from Bob and every one that greeted us and checked on our table. Quality of food is excellent. They have a machine to provide Fresh Squeeze orange juice. They do much of their own Bakery including the New York Cheese Pie and Key Lime pie. Also they have an expresso machine.

Friendly and attentive staff, fresh and tasty ingredients. Pastries are made in house, daily. The overall vibes are immaculate! Menu items include your classic breakfast foods, with some unique Mediterranean twists. Blackened salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious! The chocolate chip cookies were warm, with the most perfect ratio of chocolate chips. My friend had a tuna melt and fried zucchini…absolute perfection. The coffee is organic and the barista is a true artist when it comes to cappuccinos. A must try.

Sunny Side Café: Where Breakfast Dreams Come True! You’ve got to experience Sunny Side Café! It has a hometown diner charm with upscale modern allure.I had the Eggs Benedict, which is usually a dicey proposition. Too often eggs end up rubbery, and you have small portions that leave you hungry. But not here! Picture this – a harmonious blend of perfectly poached eggs nestled atop a bed of savory breakfast ham, adorned with lemon-infused hollandaise sauce, and just a hint of paprika to tantalize your taste buds.My brother had the Sunrise Breakfast Burrito which was bursting with the goodness of fluffy eggs, crispy hashbrowns, and a melange of Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, all enveloping savory sausage, its a flavor explosion you wont soon forget. Now, lets talk ambiance. Sunny Side Café strikes the perfect balance between cozy familiarity and modern sophistication. The staff, especially the waitresses, are nothing short of phenomenal – embodying the epitome of friendliness and efficiency with the warmth and hospitality that feels like a warm embrace from your favorite auntie or your beloved mom.And the music is the perfect backdrop to your dining experience – upbeat and cheerful without being overpowering, creating just the right atmosphere to start your day on a high note.In conclusion, dining at Sunnyside Café is not just a meal – its an experience. From the impeccable food to the inviting ambiance and exceptional service, every aspect is meticulously curated to ensure you feel pampered and satisfied. So, if youre craving the best breakfast youll ever encounter, look no further than Sunnyside Café. Your taste buds will thank you!I am glad we stumbled onto this place. We will be sure to return here the next time we visit Long Beach!

My review of sunny side:Coffee: smooth. Delicious. Perfect. Temperature is perfect.Cinnamon roll: ok. I’m not going to be dramatic; this is my honest/non-biased reaction… Oh my Lord that was the best pastry item I’ve ever experienced in my life. I’m not the biggest sweet guy and this is a perfect demonstration of what a cinnamon roll should taste like. 10/10Breakfast burrito: I picked it up and knew… A perfectly balanced burrito with no drips of grease, a well mixed array of eggs, cheese, bacon, and sausage was yet another demonstration on how to take a simple item like a breakfast burrito and make it their own. I order a breakfast burrito at every breakfast restaurant and I would put this in my top 3 of all time. It isn’t overly heavy and I think the thing that put the cherry on top is the homemade salsa. Sunnyside has done it again and I thank the amazing staff for the A+ service. I was welcomed in with open arms.Cheesecake: wait… there’s more? As I see our waitress exit the kitchen and approach our table with a smile on her face, it’s like she was just trying to send me to the moon with excitement. She set it on the table and I swear there was a beem of light that magnified the plate. Coincidence? Nay. I higher power reaching onto the table about to tickle my central nervous system with a delicious bite of cheesecake. Honestly, right now I can’t put it into words. I have a smile on my face, my heart is fluttering, and my hands are shaking with excitement. This meal, rather experience was amazing beyond belief. Sunnyside, I’ll be back!

What gem. 💎. Personally I would go there and order from the coffee menu ( fine choices ) and I would order a whole key lime pie. ( whip creme on the side )Bring home what is left over.It is superb and deserves the accolades. I don’t know where they get it from. They put homemade whip creme on it. Paired with a gourmet coffee ☕️: it’s a delightful snack. Punched with flavor and shavings of lime rind. Creamy yet subtle lime flavor and a graham crust with just enough sweetness. The place is bright and open.Clean to the tilt.Good service. Many eager to help employees, but the place packs out - and it’s ok to have extra workers as support. The staff is guys and gals and various ages. I say this because it’s a beautiful thing to see how this team comes together to help each patron.Good job you guys.
