Usually this place is delicious and fresh but this time it was a def a miss. They usually use fresh ingredients, but i cant eat avocado like this. I was disappointed in this bagel for the first time. Decided to post this so they can see that this is a No- No, and to use a fresh avocado/ ingredients next time. Hence why i still gave it 4 stars

I like the eggwich here. Ordered Spinach and Jalapeño bagel with Eggwich & Cheese. It was pretty hot and awesome in taste. Our go-to cafe for breakfast whenever we are around this area.Went in for the third time; they gave me a meat eggwich even though I didnt order. Im a pure vegetarian hence it makes me uncomfortable. And such incidents make me walk away even though I liked the taste here.

The cinnamon was better than I expected. Quite moist and tasty. Egg sandwich... Was an egg sandwich. No surprises. Maybe theres some special thing you are supposed to order that I dont know about but what I had was good but not mind blowing.

I love this place hard working young couple has been here for many years thru thin and thick but bagel always come out fresh, tasty, and somehow just always the perfect firmness to my taste. Cant say this to other sunrise locations... I love to come here very early to beat San Ramon cops on the line and boy that sunrise eggwich with sausage and no cheese really get you going no matter how tough a day ahead...

With neighboring cities of Walnut Creek and Danville offering a multitude of options San Ramon may not be the first destination people think of for great local restaurants, especially for breakfast. That’s where Sunrise Bagel Cafe rises to the occasion. With original NY style bagels boiled and baked in 36 options with a variety of shmears, the cafe lives up to its namesake. There seats inside, but the tables outside are nestled within a slightly hidden cornered off seating area around a small fountain presenting the perfect getaway for a weekend breakfast with company or a book. The restaurant also offers Vietnamese tea concoction sure to elevate the freshly baked bagels. Highly recommended whenever you are in the area.

Great place saved the day my hotel had the worst coffee & muffins I found this place and loved it they dont skimp on cream cheese all the bagels I had 4days in a row were great chocolate chip, strawberry, everything, Asiago cheese all super good!! Service was good too.

50 Cent surcharge to use a debit or credit card in 2023, ANY amount. Seems a bit behind the times. There are other payment procesors they could consider with a low credit card swipe fee, as many small businesses use. Wont be revisiting for now

4 stars for Bagels and Cream cheese. Asiago was good. 3 star for bagel sando. Good eggs, but bad bacon and microwaving took any crunch from the bagel away. 2 stars for the coffee, tasted burnt and old. Averaged to 3 overall. Decent service. Definitely call in your order. If you’re waiting to pay after you have your order, call in orders cut in front of you, even if they arrived after you.

Doordashed some breakfast a bit ago. Got updates that my order was delayed due to some confirmation issue. Called Sunrise Bagle and they explained very clearly and simply it was an issue with the Dasher. They were already on the phone with Doordash and had another Dasher en route. Minimal delay for my order. Food was great.

Try the tea!This place is great. It has a lot of variety and everything tastes Fresh. the service is fast and good. The Grapefruit Green tea is indescribable, just try it!Eat at this place when you have a chance, try something different at a reasonable cost!

I have been coming here for several years now, not everyday but several days a month. Quaint little local bagel place, i love their selection of bagels. Breakfast and regular sandwiches, now they even have smoothies. The owner is nice, very welcoming, always try to strike up a conversation. Even SFPD regulars are seen supporting this local establishment. The place is clean, they have adhered to local and state mandates on pandemic rules as far as i have observed.

I’m a first time and last time customer of Sunrise Bagel. I was in search of a good cup of coffee for the ride and was planning to hit the competition a few doors down until I saw the bagel sign. We’re fortunate that our bagel shops in the area all have pretty good coffee. So it seemed a no brainer. I purchased a cup of French roast and a raisin bagel. The bagel was fresh but not much better than our local supermarkets. What prompts me to write this review is the coffee. It was so watered down it tasted like they made a second or third pot on the same grounds. I had to dump the content. Perhaps this was a mistake and not representative of their every day offering. But as they say, “once burnt, twice shy” Most give them 5 stars so maybe i caught them on an off day.

Had the veggie bagel sandwich on an everything bagel, and it was delicious! Seriously one of the best everything bagels I’ve ever had - perfect blend of seeds with a little sea salt and toasted perfectly! Veggies were fresh and crisp. (I made mine dry with no cream cheese due to a lactose restriction, but the avocado was perfect)! Highly recommend!

I am an authentic born and raised NYC Jew who until 2016 moved to the Bay area because of grandkids. Ive been searching SF to find an authentic NY style bagel just like me. I kid that we moved here because NY and NJ bagels became too doughy and huge for my taste. Ive tried Boichik in Berkeley, Beautys in Oakland, and some others in SF. When a friend told me to try Sunrise I was sceptical as any NewYourker would be BUT my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. I tried three different kinds and felt they all had the bite we was looking for as well as the taste without the need to pull the insides out that we used to do with the bagels we were getting lately in NYC. I hope you will try them and agree.

This place is amazing! Been coming here for years because I work across the street and Ive never had a bad experience. Staff is great and the food is excellent. Their bagels and rolls are very good. Especially the Dutch crunch roll. All of their sandwiches on the menu are very good as well. They have a very nice selection of drinks and coffee. I would highly recommend. Everything on their menu is delicious! I love this place.

First visit to this shop and very disappointed. I placed a simple order for 2 of the same bagel. What I received was half of each of the 2 orders placed in front of me. Also, they charge you to use a credit card.

In addition to the highly recommended bagels, the taro drink is very good, of the bagels the one I tried is the mesquita chicken, very good and also be sure to try the sweet bagels like the choco chip bagels
