We had a larger table of 14 people and were welcomed by a very friendly man named Angel. He quickly put tables together and got us waters and menus.Everything we ordered was fresh hot and filling. The portion size was more than satisfying for the price point.The young lady and angel made sure drinks were filled and that everything was great. Even the bathroom was spotless.Highly recommend supporting this amazing independent establishment.
Amazing little cafe with yummy food. I stopped here with my boyfriend on our road trip this morning. We got the country omelette and the sunrise breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious! We loved that it’s family owned and operated.

Stopped here for breakfast on Easter Sunday on our recent trip to California. Sat outdoors at a small table. We had a wonderful experience - the food was fantastic and the service was great. Its a family place with the dad cooking and the son waiting tables. The family is from Jalisco/Michoacán, so I tried the enchiladas and eggs and potatoes and my wife had the Benedict. Fabulous! The potatoes alone were world-class. I couldnt stop raving about this place - the best breakfast experience weve had in a long while.

I have passed by this location a hundred times on my commute to work, and finally gave it a try with my wife. Let me tell you, this is the best local joint in Paso, period. The staff were extremely friendly, and the food was astounding for its price. I had the pastrami melt, which is to die for! And my wife had an omelette, one of the biggest Ive seen in a while. I urge all Paso locals to try this place, you wont regret it a bit!

AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Stopped by this amazing family owned business on the way down from SF. The food was absolutely phenomenal, feeding a vegetarian, pescatarian, and two meat eaters to the fullest. Had some amazing conversations with the owner and his son/waiter. Really, really sweet people with a genuine passion to serve the finest food. Will 100% be back when passing Paso Robles and can’t wait to indulge in the pleasure of eating at this restaurant again.

Great breakfast in Paso. I had green mozzarella enchiladas and my guest had sausage and eggs. Both were excellent. Home fries are also very tasty.

5/5 for food and service! Portion is just right. food tastes amazing and reasonably priced. I would totally the $20 steak. Its well seasoned and juicy, and it even was better than a $51 steak that I had just a night before, which was already not bad. Service is exceptional. Would definitely visit again if Im in the area.

We had the Chilaquiles, Steak, Nachos burger, Sunrise Breakfast, and All Meat Combo.All were great. The steak was juicier and better seasoned than a dinner place we had the night before.Special mention to the Chilaquiles, it was my first time having it, the chips were a great texture, a little crispy with the meat and cheese.
Had an awesome breakfast! Service was great, food was tasty. Loved the Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich - who knew peanut butter and jelly belong on a Sammie with ham and over easy egg, oh yeah and the freshest lettuce, tomato, and avocado! Very reasonably priced, too! Want to come back for lunch sometime, for sure.

We were driving through Paso on our way back to So Cal and were looking for a casual place to eat but not fast food. The reviews looked good for this place so we thought wed try it. We were a little put off when we walked in because there was a funky sewer smell and the place is very small and SUPER casual but the menu and reviews looked good so we stayed and ordered. SO GLAD WE DID!!! Our server was great, the food came out quick, was perfectly cooked and tasted AMAZING!!! My hubby ordered the biscuit and sausage Benedict and he just kept saying Mmmmm after each bite. I had the Denver scramble and there was just the right balance of each ingredient, all perfectly cooked. The hash browns were crispy and plentiful! Would definately come here again and recommend it for the delicious food and great service!!
If youre ever in Paso Robles for breakfast, I definitely recommend the Sunrise Cafe. Friendly, attentive service, and delicious food! I enjoyed my French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and ham while Rosemarie enjoyed the Denver Omelette with a side of fresh fruit.

Hidden gem! Funky spot for a restaurant, but easy to find with plenty of parking. Family owned and operated. Cook and staff are super friendly and accommodating. Never have had a bad meal from here, even at 6:00 AM, mid-week. Ive had food door dashed from here as well and they take just as much care in their to-go orders as they do on person. Try their enchilada breakfast! Their coffee is strong and really good.
The best breakfast Ive had in a long time. I ordered the Verde Mozzarella Enchiladas with home fries. The home fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft inside. And the enchiladas were excellent! The verde sauce is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, even to those sitting outside. I highly recommend this cafe and look forward to eating there again.
OMG - this place is hands down the best breakfast in paso. I’ve gone to all the breakfast places and I’m always let down. I love eggs Benedict but even the higher end restaurants around town screw it up. My egg comes out hardboiled or the hollandaise sauce is plain or broke. I was very worried ordering it here as this is a small restaurant but I’m so glad I did. The egg was poached perfectly. The sauce was very flavorful. The service was superior and fast. And the icing on the cake for me was they also had French vanilla creamer as many don’t and I only drink of coffee if I have French vanilla. So my breakfast was 110% perfect. This will now be my go to place for breakfast. I can’t wait to try their lunch now. Another couple inside said it’s their favorite also and they have been coming for 3 years now. If you want amazing service and food that’s delicious- you need to come here. You won’t be let down. So much better than cowgirl cafe anyday. 😍
I’m not a easy five star giver. This place is so local and do good! While small in size, it is mighty in service and quality of food. We came as a table of 4 and ate comfortably outside. Two of us had breakfast and two had lunch. Food was delivered quickly and hot. Everyone loved their meal . Of special note was the salsa and coleslaw. Ice tea was generous and flavorful. Right off the freeway.

Fantastic breakfast!! The Buenos Dias breakfast had eggs, chorizo, peppers, and black beans. It was perfect - I wouldn’t change a thing! The home fries were perfectly seasoned, with the onions and poblanos taking the potatoes to the next level. The pancakes and coffee were great as well. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
The staff was very polite. The only reason why I bring this up is because I didnt notice how impersonal othe places were until I came here. Its a small place, but humble staff. They deserve recognition. Other businesses need to hire more polite staff that doesnt need to pretend to be polite.
This is a very good place for breakfast or lunch. Nothing fancy, just good. The gravy has a great taste, needs to be little thicker, but that is a style issue. Flavor wise it is very good. Eggs have been well cooked everything. Lunch is also very good.
Wow. Just amazing. As good a breakfast place as Ive ever been to. Verde mozzarella enchiladas and chilaquila are both worth getting up early and starting the day with. The coffee was great. We visited Sunrise Cafe for lunch when traveling through town and I just gonna say, I wish we lived closer so we could enjoy this restaurant more. My family and I had an omelet, a chorizo breakfast burrito and the chicken fajitas and all of it was delicious! The chorizo was amazing and the burrito was so large my teenager couldnt even finish it. The service was fast and friendly, plus this restaurant isnt in the congested tourist area of town, which is totally a bonus in my families eyes. So happy to have found this gem! Well be back for a visit real soon.
Ive been here a couple of times so far. The breakfast, served all day, is the extent of my selections so far. I dont see much need to go any further.. no matter what Ive ordered it has been delicious. The servers have always been super nice. They have a small outside dining area that is clean and shaded. They do have sandwiches and entrees. A little of something for any appetite.

This place is trash. Went in to pick up an order for someone and asked to use the restroom while waiting. The guy rudely said I would prefer you not. Then when I sat down at the table to wait he said thats for my customers who come in for dine in. Totally unacceptable! Glad i was not picking up an order for myself. They need to teach their employees about customer service!
Excellent breakfast. Was supposed to have four pieces of bacon but actually came with six! Eggs were perfectly cooked. Small and quiet restaurant and only took about 5 minutes to get my meal.
Food is great, awesome service, its in a very accessible location. Super clean and cozy. The coffee surprised me, its really good. I loved the breakfast enchiladas, my homie got the chilaquiles and really enjoyed those too. Definitely coming back.
Sunrise Cafe is AMAZINGLY TASTY. They have a good selection of food, ranging from sandwiches, breakfast (American & Mexican), burritos, steak & eggs, chicken fried steak, lunch plates, and dinner plates.Take a look at their dinner menu, because you can order it for lunch or breakfast. The only bad thing about Sunrise Cafe is that they close in the middle of the afternoon. I am hoping more customers will visit them, and help this new business survive. I love supporting locals and trying new foods, so give them a try and keep them in business.
We were looking for a quick bite off highway 101 and found Sunrise Cafe. This was such a great find ! The food and service were excellent . We would HIGHLY recommend the Beef Stewed Taco and the Chilaquiles, you can’t go wrong with anything you order. I’m craving more as I’m sitting here writing this review

The reviews below aren’t telling the truth. Maybe there’s just no good food in this area...so that’s their baseline. My honest opinion is the food is disgusting. We order pancakes and crab Benedict. Both were inedible. Given, my girl and I had a tif outside...doesn’t mean you give us nasty overcooked and clearly old food. Also forgot our sausage. Disappointed.
I had the Eggs Benedict. Didnt care for their hollandaise sauce. Their home fries tasted great. The staff was friendly and accommodating when I said I needed an itemized receipt.
We got here and they were busy but with open tables and the woman said they were a bit backed up - so, we waited patiently for about 20 minutes sitting at a table with no water or anything. I was patient because she warned us - but after 20 minutes another group came and was seated - when I walked in 5 minutes later to check, the other group already had water, menus, and the waiter was taking their order. We left.
This is a hidden gem So I sort of hate to put it out there but I cant help it because its a family run restaurant with great people. Me and my father eat their at least once or twice a week. Support them if you can

Just a heads up they havent updated their online prices in a while so its more expensive when you actually go in and when I asked them about why they have an updated their online prices they said oh well we just havent gotten around to it.... Angel and his sister Jaz cheerfully welcome you and it is service with a smile the entire visit. If youre looking for an amazing start to your day I highly recommend Sunrise Cafe!

Loved the reviews and the pictures and they have Eggs Benedict which I have been dying to try for quite some time.Ended up ordering the Bacon Florentine Benedict. It was cooked perfectly and the best Benedict for being my first one.The service was excellent. Both quick and attentive and quite friendly. I would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

Today had the enchiladas with salsa verde with home fries. Home fries were perfect—crispy outside and soft inside. I love that the skins are still on.

We came from Illinois and ate at so many restaurants from LA to San Francisco but this one was the most flavorful, comfortable, and amazingly-priced meal we had here. Atmosphere is so cozy and we demolished everything. Highly recommend!

2023-09-16 17:17:23The best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had and I eat them often so I know what I am taking about. The chilaquiles were great as well. Oh and the folks that own the place are so friendly and inviting. Great choice and will be returning often as I can!
