Our room was nice and with all the rooms being on the ground floor, its so easy to get into our room. With the locks you have inside the room, I wasnt worried about safety at all. The shower had wonderful hot water and good pressure.The bathroom was clean and provided soap if you didnt bring your own. Not a bug in sight, rooms clean as can be.My only complaint would be: TIn the room I stayed in, you could hear the pipes in the wall, and the sound they made was a little loud, not great at night when youre trying to sleep.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. There were two bath mats 1 bath towel witch was stained, witch I brought the the ladys attention but it wasnt a big deal. The smoke alarm had a plastic bag coving it the floors were dirty. The TV worked for about 4 hours. The curtains were damaged like cut in half. NEVER AGAIN! DISGUSTED 🤢

A total waste of time and money. Shower ran cold. They gave me another room and the bed, furniture and floor was sticky and uncomfortable. Manager said This is not a five star hotel. If you dont want it I give you back yo money and you can go somes place else. Thats how he talks. And thats the service I got. Ill never go back.

The one star rating is for them first not disclosing the unusually long amount of days they hold card deposits. After a few days I called to see if there was any issues and was informed the deposit is returned in 8 days. 15 days later its still pending and several calls have been a waste of time. Theres nobody there that can void it. Whenever they say to call the person isnt there and staff will not contact the manager to help me or give them a message to call me. Its unfortunate because the motel is really great for the price and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. It seems like the person in charge is withholding customers money hoping they will forget or walk away from it. Theres no reason to wait 8 days to return it and that information was not true anyway. Having no contact information or an employee who can pass a message or process a card. They had permission to charge my card for rent and deposit but they cant process a refund. I worked in customer service for 20 years and of I could swipe for a payment I could swipe for a refund

First beside the room being run down and basically dirty it was cold and extremly drafty. Would not warm up at all. No hot water the entire time, sink was clogged wouldnt drain. Managment sent the people in the next room to try to fix the water problem, never got a shower and refused to refund me. Do not stay here. Its not worth the misery.

Top grade security staff, which is very important. They made me feel completely safe and comfortable. Going above and beyond for their guests. I cant go without mentioning the office staff, who work hand in hand with security. Need I say more? Lastly, and certainly not last are the Blue Ribbon winning Housekeepers. During these times these women have bucked up to get the job done. They are not afraid and it shows in performance and attitude. The rooms are full of good energy and could pass any white glove test.

Checking in was great, very polite and pleasant. Great parking, in front of room. Net gear Wi-Fi a little slow better to use data. Walked into room very clean and orderly. Pleasant smelling, like the wooden flooring . Direct tv works great. A/c runs cold but a little loud. Microwave and fridge work very well. Room 118 was very pleasant.Shower is nice and hot but pressure a little low.Needs extra roll of toilet paper. Towels in bathroom and thick and fluffy . Lots of outlets to use and storage .the door is missing a peephole to look through for security.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the second time. Wasnt happy with the lack of amenities the first time but this time they ate even worst.There is no phones in the rooms. The electric plug GFI one doesnt work at all. The air-conditioning unit is falling apart and sealed taped tin foil. The bathroom window doesnt stay open unless you something to hold it up.I think it is time for am upgrade.

Great great inn for the price!! Reserved 2 rooms, we came into town for a party. Close to freeway, gas station across the street & rooms were very! Clean. One queen bed, mini fridge, microwave & a huge bathroom. I like the wood floors just was so clean! Service was excellent & even had waffles & crepes available for breakfast which were delicious & with choice of some side items like oatmeal, cereal & toast. Definitely recommend the Sunrise Inn if you are looking for a clean! budget friendly room to place your head for the night.

Most time that’s I’ve been here it’s been good. But I stayed last night and the first room my bf and I got it stunk so bad in the room and my bf noticed they had dryer sheets in the vents of the ac to “try” and make the room smell better but the smell overpowered the dryer sheets. So then we get moved two doors down and my bf finds that the coffee pot is moldy. When we checked out he brought the coffee pot up and told them about it and they just said ok like they didn’t even care. they didn’t offer any discount or a free night or anything. Will not go back ever again.

We attended a wedding in town that happened to fall on the same day as another large event. At first, we were only planning on attending the ceremony and then taking a 2 hour drive back home so we did not book a room beforehand. Last minute, my family decided to stay for the ceremony and the reception, but when we tried to book a room online either at Sunrise Inn or at any of the other nearby motels everything was full. Some relatives of ours were staying at Sunrise and they checked if there were any rooms available the day of the wedding. Two rooms had just opened up that morning, and my aunt was able to reserve one for us. When we arrived, all we had to do was give our name and pay for the room. The staff were very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. Maggie, the manager, was friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, the air conditioner was turned on when we walked in, and it was very clean. The following morning, we were able to eat a delicious continental breakfast that consisted of peach or banana crepes and waffles, which were all made to order. There were a few other items you could serve for yourself, such as hot coffee, Sunny D juice, cereal, and toast. Overall, the Inn is well taken care of, the staff are helpful and friendly, and you get good value for the price.

You can not beat this place. Great rooms and wonderful service. The rooms are very spacious, large and well appointed. The staff are over the top nice and are most interested in providing 5 star service. They have a nice lawn area with two large cabanas and always well maintained. The money you save by staying here will buy you a nice dinner at of the great local restaurants. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and for the value here you can not beat it!!

We spent a night coming back from Yosemite - looking for a place somewhere between Yosemite and San Francisco (where we would have to get a flight next day). This one had good reviews, and a really good price compared to other places.Arriving in a rainy night, and leaving in a foggy morning, we did not have the chance to appreciate the place too much. The room was clean and everything was working; there is a fridge, microwave and tv in small rooms, and it looks like one could spend a few night there.They require you to leave a $50 deposit that you get back once your room is checked for missing/broken things. I preferred not to do it with credit card (unsure of when I would get my credit back) so I left cash. Next morning, trying to check out at 7am was complicated: there was only a security guard and no one to process our checkout or give us back our deposit. Fortunately the manager came just a few minutes after 7am and we left without much delay, yet this is something to take into account if you plan to leave early.Breakfast starts 7:30am (what the manager was about to prepare) so we did not try it; yet it did not look much promising looking at the place it was to be served. Someone else might review this.

Don’t, they will steal your money. First they advertise their price as $63 a night but what they don’t say is that you have to pay a $50 security deposit. I paid this by card, I was assured that once I check out, I would be sent the money back. This was over 3 weeks ago and I still have not received my money back. When I call, the manager is extremely rude and disrespectful. DON’T stay here, very bad decision.

A neat little inn in Turlock. Chose to stay here over the name brand hotels and motels and it was well worth it. A great place to get away and save money. The rooms are clean and spacious, have a microwave and a coffee maker. Although I reccomend the main office coffee over the stuff in the room or better yet try the close-by coffee shops. The beds are firm but comfy. There are train tracks close by, so consider that if youre a light sleeper. I dont mind train noises and really enjoyed listening to them go by in the courtyard. The grassy area lined with festive lights in the middle of the complex was my favorite part. A great place to relax outside. My group got two separate rooms and it seems each room has its own minor quirks, but I expect that from older motels. For the price it is a nice stay.

1.0 star rating 4/4/2017Would have gave this place 3 stars if it was not for the rude manager Maggie working there charging a extra $100 to my credit stating that I stole there remote when there was never one to begin with. She said that is my fault for not reporting it to them so she would give me $50 back but I have to pay the other $50 for not reporting it. Tried to talk to me like I am some little kid or stupid. After talking to her for 10 minutes to get my other fifty dollars back because I did nothing wrong then she accuses me of possibly smoking in the room which I did not.(trying to find a excuse to charge me ) On top of that there was woman hair left on the bed when I was going to sleep and food left in the microwave from the previous guest(bowl of chicken and rice) did not complain thought whatever it is a $80.00 motel. I think what happened is they clean the room really fast or half ass and then tried to blame on me when I left I was only there for one night she said the previous guest where there for three days. Other then that is was pretty clean the front receptionist was really nice. Too the manager Maggie that does not know how to run a business and apparently never there after talking to her about the extra charge I worked it out with my bank told you I would get money back stop being a sad low life trying to steal money from people because your not happy with your job. I will keep being persistent to make a complaint about you to your company my job is independently owned too there is someone above you you are a manager not the owner so stop acting like it ends with you.

This older hotel is quiet, clean, pet friendly hotel. Staff are friendly. We slept great and woke refreshed in the morning. If want high end hotel this is not for you. If you want a quiet place to sleep, and rest your head close to shopping this is the place. Staff was friendly and accomdating when I asked for an extra pillow and blanket. We will be back again. The Sunrise Inn was exactly what we needed on our trip. It was very clean, the air conditioning was on when we got there (whew!), it was very quiet and the staff was super nice. I even left something behind and they called us to let us know. Its a little bit off the highway, but dont be put off by that, its worth it. A great value. I sincerely recommend the Sunrise Inn. I will definitely stay there again.

For its category, this hotel was excellent as well as affordable. The exterior is retro but pleasant with a small garden/pergola area for relaxing outside. There was plenty of off-street parking near each room with a vigilant guard on duty during the evening, night, and morning. The evening clerk was cheerful and helpful providing me with local information. My room was spacious and very clean. Bedding and towels were fresh and it was obvious the staff takes pride in keeping the place nice and clean. When I first arrived I had some difficulty connecting to the free Wi-Fi in my room but the clerk worked with me patiently and professionally until I was successfully connected. The room had a microwave and a fridge/freezer combo unit. The free breakfast offered was an assortment of fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, juice, milk or a made-to-order waffle or crepe. I happened to be in the lobby when another guest discussed a concern and the manager and staff handled the situation in a pleasant and efficient way. If Im ever back in Turlock this is where I would stay.

The staff was nice. housekeeping kept me in towels while i was there. (the towels were the best part of my stay. big & fluffy) The room and shower was clean with plenty of space to move around in. lots of shopping close by. They have security and he assured me that my vehicle & i would be safe and we were. they did charge a $50 deposit even though i used my credit card. i really didnt like that. there was a heavy musty odor when i walked in the room. it looked to be recently remodeled. there was newer linoleum on the floor. only a shower-- no tub--no problem. only 1 or 2 bars of WIFI which did me no good. the room was noisy due to a train that went by periodically and a cooling/heating wall-unit that was just as noisy. the bed & pillows were anything but soft. i will stay somewhere else next time because of the noise, the bed, and the WIFI. i didnt complain because i believe i should get their best to begin with and i probably did.

Probably not however go to a different Motel that doesnt require a deposit and its quiet evident they dont. Dated but clean rooms, convenient location to Stanislaus county fair grounds, nice park, and several restaurants in easy walking distances. Most importantly though was the service and how everyone was eager to help out a young family. They were accommodating to giving us a pet friendly adjoining rooms and when our car ran out of battery, they offered us a portable battery and a jumpstart car when that didnt work. I had a good experience, but I was not impressed with the financial aspect. They had a $50 deposit fee that I wasnt prepared for. They said they would take it off my card and then it could take up to 10 days to return to my account. And then they didnt end up charging my card until 5 days after the transaction so it put me into a negative balance with my bank and caused a $35 overdraft fee. I wouldnt stay here again. They really need to be more considerate to their guests finances.

Maggie does an amazing job here!My boyfriend and I had just finished a backpacking trip in Yosemite were looking for a place to stay on our way to San Fransisco. We stopped by a few motels that were either full, too expensive, or dirty. We didnt have too high of expectations but also didnt want roaches or mold.We called Sunrise Inn on the road and they had an opening for an amazing price so we decided to check it out. We showed up around 9Pm and asked to see the room before deciding to stay. The front desk staff happily walked us to the room and the room was so much better than anything we had looked at that night.Signing in was easy and there were plenty of places to park. There is also a security guard on duty in the parking lot.The room and bathroom were extremely clean and had fresh towels and soaps. The shower had good pressure as well. There were hardwood floors, a TV, and wall AC unit that cooled the room almost immediately. There was also a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. The bed was so comfortable! The mattress was firm and there was some soft of foam topper similar to the kind on our own bed at home.Wifi and breakfast are included in the stay. The wifi connection wasnt great, but we didnt really need to use our phones so it didnt matter. Breakfast was a delightful surprise. The staff makes Belgian style waffles and crepes (banana, peach, or Nutella). We got a waffle and a banana crepe and each were filling and delicious. Coffee, tea, toasts, bagels, and cereals were also available. Maggie was very sweet and came to say hello and make sure the stay was enjoyable.There is also a very nice grassy outdoor seating area that would be great for relaxing outside or bringing your pet.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY! Stayed here on my way from Washington to Twentynine Palms, and after 13 hours of driving, it was great to check in to a hotel with such clean rooms and exceptionally friendly staff! Helena was most helpful from making my reservation to front desk service and Maggie, the Assistant Manager, was also very friendly & accommodating. I highly recommend this great little place!

Well I would be giving a better review of this place except they lied and ripped me off for my deposit which wasnt much, but to stand there and tell me that someone pissed in their cabnet under the t.v. was outrageous and a complete lie. Said they couldnt rent the room for ten days. And I went there to retrieve my phone charger the room had been used the same day we checked out cause the other person still had their charger plugged in. So I know it was a lie and they had been renting that room after we left. There fore I have to say the manager is a thief. But as for the rest of the staff they were quite nice to us. My suggestion take pictures before and after you stay there. That way you have proff if they try to rip anyone else off.

Incredible! I left my cell phone in my Lyft car and checked in and told them, so they all spent the next 30-45 mins helping me contact the Lyft company and the driver and eventually they got a hold of the driver and he dropped my cell off! Suck a nice and helpful caring staff! The stay was nice! I will definitely stay here again!

This place is really a dump. I cant believe all the good reviews it has gotten. On top of everything else the staff is rude and the rooms are very uncomfortable. They use a foam covering on the mattresses to make up for the hardness. Housekeeping does the rooms halfway and when you question them they magically loose the little English they had. Buyer beware.

Ok Ive been a turlock resident over 34 years Im 44 the sunrise inn motel upgraded their rooms a few years back ago they look nice but the neighbors and long term renters are sketchy youll see alot of tweakers staying there and their company going & coming in and out bad place to rent for a nice peaceful nights sleep ! I rate it a ⭐⭐Now the motel food plaza that just opened recently I visited today nice and clean they have Chinese food, Mexican food & pizza 😋👍I enjoyed my Chinese combo lunch fast service and good tasting food its located at the front of the motel so park at the motel and go in to dine enjoy a great lunch or dinner .I rate the food plaza at sunrise hotel a 😁👍⭐⭐⭐⭐

Maggie is gone and now it is going down hill. They lost all guest notes and I come there 3 to 4 times a month. Now they give me different rate and if I dont make reservations online it is a higher rate! We could stay anywhere but we like the way Maggie took care of all the repeat customers!! Hard wood floors, personal wi-fi hotspot or ethernet hardwire (your choice), wonderful staff, new frig, amazingly comfortable memory foam top bed (better than my $1000 bed at home), hardwood end tables, hardwood media cabinet, tasteful lighting, hair dryer, nice metal rack for toiletries, many other caring touches, and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Plus, the quality of the people staying here is much higher than comparably priced motels within a 10-20 mile radius. I dont know how Sunrise Inn pulls it off, offering such quality at half the price of more upscale lodgings. I got a two night deal for $100 including tax. I was quoted about 10% less than that per night for a week stay. This is a better motel than places charging $99 per night. Thank you, I will be coming back!

No bedbugs, and thats what matters most in a place like this, but it doesnt deserve that 4.5 rating IMHO. The price was low, the room was clean but felt cheap. Thank goodness for the security in the lot- Id have scrammed without it as this place is in a rough, rough location. Service was surly and curt but I guess thats to be expected. I didnt get to sample the breakfast as it started so late (7 or 730) and I had to go before then each day.

I called at 7:40 was on hold for like 10 mins called back to place an order food for pick up and the guy who answered said they close at 8pm . Even though it says 10 pm. Not sure 🤔 why he would say that or why it says 10. Anyways that was going to be the first time going to order from there .

As an Asian woman it is difficult to be treated without discrimination and you wouldnt expect it from a hotel. Sun Rise Inn. seems like a hotel from the 1940s in looks and their attitude toward foreigners. I am a medical doctor and for no reason should I deal with comments about my race from a hotel staff in the middle of nowhere.

This place does not lok like much from the outside....but ot is really nice spaciouse rooms the price you can not beat and the staff is awesome...this will always be my hidden jem anytime i stay in turlock..did i mention it is right across from the fair grounds..if you ever need two beds you will also be suprised what a great deal you get....really makes up for not having a pool!!
