Super Wok is a great Chinese restaurant in the valley. The food is tasty with less salt than most Chinese restaurants, which leave you waking up at night thirsty. They even include salt-free and healthy dishes. Portion sizes are large and include rice. We ordered egg rolls (which were crispy), Kung Pao chicken (spicy, but not hot) and beef chop suey (crispy vegetables and slices of beef). Everything was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and not over salted. We had a plate of leftovers. The interior is nicely decorated and very spacious and service was friendly and attentive. This will be our go-to restaurant for Chinese food from now on.
Prices is keep claiming up, portions are getting smaller, also there is no consistency on flavor. I been going there for years lately everything has changed in this restaurant.😔

The food was delicious. I met family there so we had a party of 7. We ordered multiple dishes, including hot sour soup and chicken fried rice, and it was all very good. The garlic chicken however did stand out as my favorite.
This restaurant will provide you with a variety of options, and every thing that is available will leave you wanting more . 😉 I went here for dinner on a Sunday night, loved it so much I ended up going back for lunch on the following Wednesday. The portions are huge, enough for leftovers, and the hot Jasmin tea 🍵 will have you hypnotized from its smell and delicious flavor.

Dont order on-line...Ive been coming here for years: good, reasonably priced food. But today, for first time, I ordered take out on-line. I got there at the time food was supposed to be ready, but no food. A few moments later they find my order, still in the fax machine. It took over half an hour to get the food. Not one apology from the woman at counter. Should I just only call in orders in future? Sure. Then why do they take on line orders if the cant fill them timely? Oh, its the apps fault - the orders take a long to come in. Is that why theres another order on the fax machine behind you that youve ignored while Ive been waiting? No answer. No apology. This is unacceptable service, even for good food.
Family enjoys going here on Weekends, great service and the food is made fresh. Servers attention is incredible. Never have to ask for a refill and remove empty plates if you place them on the edge of the table.

We live in Sherman Oaks, but when we want Chinese Food, we drive to Tarzana (Reseda Blvd & Ventura Blvd in the Vons shopping center) to eat, or pickup our food to go, from THE SUPER WOK at 5418 Reseda Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356. If you eat at this restaurant, insist on having Ellen as your waitress, as she is wonderful and has a great sense of humor. We highly recommend the Chicken with String Beans (typically I am not a string bean fan but these are the best string beans youll ever eat) and the Sweet & Sour Chicken (not deep fried without breading).
Everything was good!! Dine in and take the leftovers to go. Definitely will be coming back.
Been coming here 15 years - food is always reliably good regardless of dish, service is always fast and prices are reasonable for portion size. Their online ordering used to have its issues so we stopped using it, but not sure if they still offer that anyway.They are also always willing to accommodate requests - we like garlic sauce instead of brown sauce and they swap it on any dish if requested. Great service!

It was tough for me to give them 3 stars because I want to give them 4 for how nice they are but its a restaurant so its all about the food. Their kung pao chicken is delicious but it isnt amazing. The Mongolian beef was VERY boring as it lacked flavor. The fried rice should not be called fried rice as it looks as if it was really quickly tossed in oil and soy sauce and I know thats what fried rice is but Ive had WAY better fried rice before. You might be reading my review thinking why I didnt give them 2 stars is because the food did come in great quantity so you essentially can feed 4 people with just 2 dishes.

Had dinner here with my family, four adults and one toddler. We got seated immediately and staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Our favorites were the sweet n sour chicken, broccoli beef, and fried rice. We arent from here but if I ever visit again we will definitely be returning.

I have eaten in this restaurant at least a dozen times. Delicious food, fast and very courteous Servers. Two weeks ago I ordered food to go, gave my name and phone number but told them my daughter would be picking up. NO problem. Food was ready to pick up, she paid, brought it to me, I ate it - delicious as usual.Yesterday May 26, I called to order two meals to pick up. The FIRST person I spoke two was polite but complained over and over again he could not hear me. “So busy here, sorry...phone number? “ told him 3 times he said he could NOT hear ( and by this time I was yelling) He finally said sorry one more time and then hung up on me. I called back and got a woman who also seemed to have a problem hearing, couldn’t find my phone number and then she too hung up on me. I suppose others might give up but oh boy I wanted that Lemon Chicken! Called back again, told another woman I was hung up on twice in we high she said “what’s your phone number?” Told her the same number. Gave her my name and she said “we don’t have your name or phone number !” ( and not in a nice way) I told her I’ve called three times, been hung up on twice and yes, I HAVE called and yes, I’ve given the same name and she says Jennifer? I said “sure” knowing my daughter probably gave her- her name when she picked up the order of two weeks ago. At this point I was getting tired of yelling my name, number and the food I wanted and NEVER an apology from the person. In fact she was sarcastic as she said “Well WHAT DO YOU WANT?” I told her two Lemon Chicken but I don’t want the white rice, I want the other one you offer but I can’t remember the name of it. Saying that caused another nasty argument telling me she needs a NAME and I said what are the choices, she said she doesn’t know I said “well, YOU work there you SHOULD know! She said nothing for several seconds, then said “Fried Rice”. YES yes I said “thank you”. She replied “pick up in 15 minutes” and hung up on me. I’ll admit it, I was steamed
So good! I love their Crispy Fried Squid in Spicy Salt, but everything else is just as good. Service is wonderful too... And the best thing is their Lunch Special pricing. I have drive over 20 minutes to eat here.
First impression as I walked in was right away pleasant, tge place is clean, well organized and has a relaxed ambience. The service was pleasant and efficient. The menu has many great choices, the food was fresly made and delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were surprisingly low in comparison to other restaurants of similar quality. This place is definitely going on my list of favorite eateries.
I have been coming to super wok for over 10 years! By far the best Chinese food Ive had in the valley. I always ask them to custom make my order, and without question or hesitation they do! Their hot mustard is incredible as well! 10/10 would reccomend.Oh and their lunch specials are too amazing of a deal to pass up!
One star because they have decent food, when there isnt any hair in it. And their customer sevi e SUCKS they are all rude and pushy. There is maybe two servers that are nice. I go for lunch with friends and its like playing a game of chance. Will the food come hot, will I get my order taken in the first 15 minutes, will I be greeted in less than 5 minutes, will there be hair in my food, will I get my water refilled, too many risks. I tried giving this place an honest chance. Ive complained and nothing has been done. Enough is enough. They need to change the way they run things. So disappointed with this restaurant!!!
I worked here for about 5 years or so, the bosses and the people I worked with were all nice people. I loved working with them. The food are delicious! Loved the shredded pork Chow Mien, Szechuan Dumpling, and Crispy Pork! Thats the menu I always go for. Family friendly Chinese restaurant!

This is a Chinese restaurant that serves really good Chinese food. The environment is more of a elderly feeling. its not really a place that is up-to-date the interior. Its calm and relaxed and if you want to enjoy a lunch here its good.
I really like this little restaraunt. It is a great place to have lunch and the service is very quick if you only have a short amount of time. The staff here are very very friendly and usually will go out of their way to help out. Everyone must try the spicy squid, which is a great version of calamari like squid with incredible seasoning. The food is very fresh and the soup is pretty outstanding for a faster restarant. Great choice and highly recommended.

Also they were ok to change a little my order... even though it was not on lunch special menu. The reason for only 4 stars is because the place is very small and overcrowded. So people are very close to each other and it was hard to hear myself... maybe because the food tastes pretty good, especially in this price range. . .

First time here. was good. my daughter loved the egg rolls and the sweet n sour pork wasnt overly fried and battered like moat placed. had an even balance of fla ir and breading and everything. Bill was a great server :)
This is the place for Chinese around here. Its $10-$15 a dish. Shrimp is at the high end, but they dont skimp. Theyre the real deal around here. Plenty of parking because of Vons/CVS parking lot. Healthy! Spacious booth seating. Bright decor. Youd think Marie Calendars before Chinese. But this is most definitely authentic Chinese-American we all love. Unfortunately, they dont have asparagus on the menu at all.But, thats just me.

Super Wok in Tarzana is our favorite restaurant for Chinese food. At this simple place, its all about the food, not about decor or anything else. Before the pandemic, we ate lunch there quite a bit. Now we get their food to-go as often as we can. My favorite dish is Curry Chicken. They are good about my request for light oil.

Horrible food. Orange chicken wasn’t orange it was brown with Chile on it, not ok for a child who doesn’t eat spicy yet, and the chicken was dry and had too much fat on it. Made my son and me choke literally. It wouldn’t break down when you chewed it. My husband got the chicken pan fried noodles which were hard and dry like as if it was microwaved. The Thai tea was way too sweet. The only good thing was the hot and sour soup but the chicken in the soup wasn’t edible either. I will forever remember this Mother’s Day as the day my son and I choked on bad orange chicken.
This restaurant is always busy but today was filled with people celebrating birthdays and Valentines Day. Everyone comes here for the food and are treated like family. Lily, Ellen, Sam and the rest of the staff are awesome.

Never been here before the other day.Found a piece of METAL WIRE in my sweet and sour chicken! Seriously?!?Glad I saw it before I swallowed it.I told the waitress and she apologized and said it was from one of the tools they use (well duh). She offered to bring us new food, but needless to say, we lost our appitite and just left.It was probably an innocent mistake, but I have to give them one star and recommend not eating here.Also, the service was bad.

Was closed recently for VERMIN INFESTATION. Food quality going badly down hill. Manager LAUGHED about being closed by the health department when we expressed concern. Well we were only shut down by health department for 2 days, hahaha, so what?! Worst possible answer, pal! Used to be good. This place is turing into a dump with bad food, bad mgmt and filthy, rat feces infested kitchen preparing your food...and they dont care! Beware. -- Many fake positive reviews since reopening after vermin infestation and a D in their window before HEALTH DEPT. forced their closure as a penalty for their repeated filth. SHAME on this place.They do not deserve loyal customers anymore. We are all done with this place. What a disgrace.

DO NOT order online. Your card WILL be stolen. Its happened to us 3 times now but we just figured out the common factor by using a new, unused card that had mysterious charges the very next day, despite us having ONLY used it ONCE online at Superwok and nowhere else, ever. The food is excellent, the people are nice, but its not worth having to jump through all the hoops to get the fraudulent charges reversed.

My go to for American style Chinese food in the Tarzana/Encino/Reseda area (although I always see plenty of Asian people eating here too) - good standards like lo mein, gooey sweet and sour pork/chicken, chicken and vegie egg rolls, moo goo gi pan, and egg foo young and war won ton soup - all the old school standards done very well. $8 lunch specials here too include a small soup but NO egg roll.

This is probably the best Chinese food place I can find in the valley. The pricing is reasonable, the food is killer, and the delivery man is always nice. Sometimes I drive all the way from CSUN just for lunch.

Food was very good. Ordered the spicy house shrimp, Chinese broccoli, Jade chicken and lomein. The lomein was overcooked so it wasnt aldente.

Totally unassuming place with legitimately good Chinese food. Had basic chicken and broccoli and the chicken and sauce were delicious and veggies fresh and crisp.
Super Wok Rocks!! Everything there Is delicious! But you gotta go before 3pm cuz lunch is cheaper. WHY YOU TASTE SO GOOD?

2023-08-19 23:13:27Theres always something about Chinese restaurants that makes you go ahhhhh I love it whether that be the good stern service the simple decor or the consistent great tasting food behind an incognito entrance.These are the things that make me love eating at Chinese restaurants and this one hit all the marks!Loves the egg rolls to start off and finished it off with sweet and sour chicken. All the meat was very good quality! Will be here again!

If you get the lunch special you will definitely be satisfied and full as the portions are large. The food itself was delicious. Definitely recommend if youre nearby and want quality Chinese food.

2023-07-17 21:06:31Very rude staff they act like you should know how to order in the restaurant they serve you what they want to serve you and thats it. Bought two entrees was supposed to get two boxes of rice and the lady said she only wanted to give me one box because it was just a little bigger no I wanted my two and went back and told him the lady I talked to was very nice she told the lady in her language something and I got my two races and left the food was medium at that I would never go back there again if I could I would box up that whole store and send it back to China!.

2021-11-20 21:37:00My rating is 3.5 starts but I will round up. The food comes out quickly which is a plus in my book because I was starving! We order the Chicken Lo Mein and the Kung Pao Chicken. We came at dinner time but they have a good lunch special as well. I feel they are a tad bit overpriced for the quality of food, but it will still delicious the portions are large enough to share so I definitely have leftovers.Our wait staff was nice and attentive, but they charged our card incorrectly stating that they were in a rush. They had put my card with another bill that was almost three times as much as ours. It was an easy fix, but something they can pay more attention to in the future.

The shrimp fried rice was pre loaded with half the bottle of soy sauce. Where do they do this at?! Its no wonder they dont have it on the table.He took it back and brought rice without soy sauce, saying next time you have to say no soy sauce.Sir, this is my 1st time here. The description doesnt even mention soy sauce.I had to ask for chopsticks, and I was still picking the splinter out of my finger late at night.I inquired if they served tea, You have to order it! Okay, so no tea...He never came to see if I needed anything, and I needed water badly to get the dry, tasteless fried wontons down. I asked for more water please, he responded with a nod. Then this old couple came in that he was glad to see, and he took them hot tea napkins and cups before bringing me water.I sat almost 15 minutes after eating to ask someone else for a takeout container.I made a decision not to tip him for poor service, and of course, he was expecting one.We really have to stop rewarding bad behavior.I will not be returning.

2023-09-19 21:28:43I absolutely love this Chinese food restaurant! Its my favorite and go-to when I want quality Chinese food. I highly recommend it!I usually get the Curry Chicken or Orange Chicken, with Lo Mein.Also if you come for lunch hours they have a lunch special that comes with soup, rice and an entree.

2023-12-03 07:36:46The orange chicken /white meat is the best in the valley. The sauce they make for the orange chicken is original and so amazing. Its like caramelized candy sauce. The little pieces are crunchy with just the right consistency. It melts in your mouth. I order it every time, and my girlfriend orders

2023-08-02 03:22:33Ordered wonton soup, it was very good. Chicken, shrimp, wontons and vegetables. The restaurant was very clean, kind attendants served my order to go very quickly. The portion was generous, and reasonable. I had roommates that ate here at least three times weekly.
